So its the summer and most people have relationship problems at the change of a season. Why is that? Moods change when seasons change, its just human nature. Some call is seasonal depression, we call it time to involve a little white magick into your life. White magick spells are all 100% safe and no one ever has to worry about something coming back to haunt them as the result of a spell.

"Blessed William Reed Huntington (1838-1909): Episcopal priest, husband, father, practical theologian, writer, secretary of the 1892 Book of Common Prayer" revision, nominee for bishop in 8 dioceses (all of which he declined), liturgical designer, and ecumenicist (having developed the four principles of the "Chicago-Lambeth Quadrilateral", one of the Episcopal Church's most important historical documents), once quipped: "...If you map out four distinct parties" [in the Church], "and name them RITUALISTIC, "HIGH, "LOW, and "BROAD, I am a good deal in doubt where I properly belong..."
Nevertheless, he was an eloquent proponent of oneness within the Episcopal Church, as well as of oneness among the various Christian denominations.
Among his memorable statements: "Antagonisms there must always be in the Church, but organized antagonisms ought as far as possible...to be avoided." A profoundly wise bit of advice which it would be well for all involved in the recent and current disagreements within the Anglican Communion to take to heart.
His statement, from his book "The Church Idea "(1870), is still terribly relevant to the life of the Episcopal Church generally, and to that of each of its parishes and missions: "...If our whole ambition as Anglicans in America be to continue a small, but eminently respectable body of Christians, and to offer a refuge to people of refinement and sensibility, who are shocked by the irreverences they are apt to encounter elsewhere; in a word, if we care to be only a countercheck and not a force in society; then let us say as much in plain terms, and frankly renounce any and all claim to Catholicity. We have only, in such a case, to wrap the robe of our dignity about us, and walk quietly along in seclusion no one will take much trouble to disturb. Thus may we be a Church in name, and a sect in deed. But if we aim at something nobler than this, if we would have our Communion become national in very truth-in other words, if we would bring the Church of Christ into the closest possible sympathy with the throbbing, sorrowing, sinning, repenting, aspiring heart of this great people-then let us press our reasonable claims to be the reconciler of a divided household, not in a spirit of arrogance (which ill befits those who best possessions have come to them by inheritance), but with affectionate earnestness and an intelligent zeal."
"Fervent love" for the Church and its mission in the world, and "unflagging faith" in God's promises are two of Huntington's qualities mentioned in the collect for his feast day today: worthy ideals for us who, in Baptism, bear the name of Christ.

The radiocarbon dating tests of 29,200 years +/- 400 years was done by Radiocarbon Lab from Kiew, Ukraine on organic material found at the Bosnian Pyramid site. Physicist Dr. Anna Pazdur of Poland's Silesian University first announced the news at a Press Conference in Sarajevo in August of 2008. Professor of classical archaeology from the University of Alexandria Dr. Mona Haggag called this discovery "WRITING NEW PAGES IN EUROPEAN AND WORLD HISTORY." The C14 date of 29,000 years at the Bosnian Archaeological Park was obtained from a piece of organic material retrieved from a clay layer inside the outer casing to the pyramid. It follows a sample date obtained during the 2012 dig season on Material located above the concrete at 24,800 years, meaning this structure has a construction profile stretching back almost 30,000 years.
"The ancient people who built these pyramids knew the secrets of frequency and energy. They used these natural resources to develop technologies and undertake construction on scales we have never witnessed on earth, said Dr Osmanagich. Evidence clearly shows that the pyramids were built as ancient energy machines aligned with the earth's energy grid, providing energy for healing as well as power. Ancient historians and researchers in the US have news just as astonishing as anything found in the far corners of the globe. For instance, the Rockwall discovery outside of Dallas TX is only one example of how we are now re-examining ancient mysteries to reveal more about our past right in the United States. Results clearly indicate that similar advanced civilizations of humans were present all across the globe at that time in history. For example, Gobekli Tepe located in Eastern Turkey, is a vast complex of enormous megalithic stone circles with a radius of between 10 and 20 meters, much larger than the well-known Stonehenge in Great Britain. Excavations at Gobekli Tepe that began there in 1995 revealed radio carbon dating at least 11,600 years. German archaeologist Dr. Klaus Schmidt from the German Archaeological Institute, Berlin Germany with the support of ArchaeoNova Institute from Heidelberg, Germany has led the excavation of these recently discovered pre-historic megalithic circles at the Turkey location.
"Gobekli Tepe is one of the most fascinating Neolithic locations in the world," Dr. Klaus Schmidt claims. But as he explains in a recent report, to understand the new finds, archaeologists need to work closely with specialists in comparative religion, architectural and art theory, cognitive and evolutionary psychology, sociologists using social network theory, and others.
"It is the complex story of the earliest large, settled communities, their extensive networking, and their communal understanding of their world, perhaps even the first organized religions and their symbolic representations of the cosmos," as reported by Klaus Schmidt.In addition to the megalithic structures, figures and carvings have been discovered, depicting animals of pre historic nature such as dinosaurs and other wild life. Since excavations started in 1995, four of the circles have been partially cleaned, but it is thought that there are a total of up to 50 circles hidden underground. These vast monoliths, soaring seven meters in height and 25 tons in mass at Gobekli Tepe, are situated right in the heart of what we perceive as the origin of civilization. This find offers new guidance to the true history of earth and our ancient civilizations. "Our archaeological research goal is not to simply uncover all of the megalithic circles but to try to figure out their purpose," adds Schmidt.
"BOSNIAN PYRAMID NOW IN EIGHTH YEAR: PROOF OF ADVANCED CIVILIZATIONS FROM OVER 30,000 YEARS AGO"
The Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids now in the eighth year of excavation spans six square kilometers in the Visoko River Basin 40km northwest of Sarajevo. Comprised of four ancient pyramids almost three times the size of Giza and an extensive subterranean pyramid tunnel complex, new discoveries each year continue to reveal proof of a much different history of mankind on earth. The central pyramid of the Sun rises a colossal 420 meters in to the air and has a mass of millions of tons. By comparison the Great pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) in the Giza plateau is 146 meters high, making the Bosnian Pyramids the largest and oldest known pyramids on the planet. Since research began at the Bosnian site, Dr. Osmanagich has amazed the scientific and archaeological community by gathering a team of interdisciplinary engineers, physicists, and researchers from around the world to conduct open and transparent investigation of the site to try and discover the true nature and purpose of this pyramidal complex. "This is an unknown culture presenting highly advanced arts and sciences, technology capable of forming truly massive structures and we believe in that process demonstrating an ability to harness pure energy resources," comments Tim Moon, who has recently joined Osmanagich as lead archeologist at the Bosnian site. The archaeological project delivered another significant finding this year in the pyramid tunnel complex known as Ravine. Tunneling deep into a ridge line leading toward the Pyramid of the Sun the team has unearthed several megalith stones. In August an enormous stone estimated at 25,000 kgs was uncovered approximately 400 meters into the labyrinth. "This is a hugely significant find,"comments Moon. "Here we have a massive stone, possibly a constructed ceramic, buried under hundreds of thousands of tons of material. We are locating foundation walls around its perimeter and cut stone blocks." Large quantities of artifacts have been recovered from the associated tunnels leading to the site, including effigies painted on stone, art objects and a series of hieroglyphics or ancient texts carved into the tunnel walls. Dr. Osmangich stresses that it is time for open sharing of knowledge so we can understand and learn from our past. Last night, I got to hear a first hand story of incredible success with the Manifestation Meditation. The Christian fellow has done well with it. He literally had a personal revelation, a real world reflection and a full healing which 'cured' his life long issue within a week's time.
I have noticed that over the last two or three weeks my listening skills have improved. I am really paying attention to what people are saying. I am not waiting for my turn to talk. I no longer interrupt unless I am unclear about what someone is saying. The obvious benefit is better communication skills and better perception of the speaker. The not so obvious is that my personal feelings about what is being said are more apparent. How is it that in listening to others the more clearly discover myself?
In this case, I realized that I didn't feel as I expected to feel. Before I started to share the MM with selected others I would have said such success would feel great. I may have even said it was a validation of my Work as a spiritual man. I may have even said that I'd deserve a beer or I have experienced some of that but not to the degree I would have expected. Instead, I am left with a sense of amazement. Compared to all the suffering I went through, this stuff is easy for so many. People are having life-changing experiences. When they say thank you, I am at a loss as to what to say. I haven't done anything. I gave them a few words but they had to say them. They had to mean it. They had to live through the lesson. They had to grow. Those that have chosen the spiritual version of this have shown courage. This is admirable. I do not make light of that in anyway.
On the other hand, I sat on couch and listened. This is not hard work. I'm sure most of you are sitting as you read this and will agree that sitting is not that difficult a task for most people.
What I feel is a mix of a weird humility with the normal pleasure one would feel in doing something nice for someone and being recognized. That is more at the level of being thanked for helping someone pick up a few groceries fallen from a torn bag. No big deal really but still nice to be thanked. All this comes with a sense of discomfort.
In mulling this over, I have learned something.
For some time, I have pondered why I am having a hard time putting words to paper. I do know the other I know that I am fearful of the upcoming class I am giving locally. I am fearful because rather than dry facts, I speak in stories and metaphor. There is a touch of the dramatic. This is not my normal style. People will see something has changed. Part of me fears this. The rest of me thinks I am being a bit silly.
I. Know. This. Works.
Yet, I fear.
So, the reason for the slow delay in writing this is apparent. It has taken me a long time to figure it out. Now, I will find the root of the fear. It is time for me to the MM and simply ask to be shown how I can overcome this.
In the meantime, I am going to use my scant mindfullness training and focus on the task at hand of writing. Bugs Bunny once said, "I will be scared later. Right now I am too mad." It is my hope that I can be scared later. Right now, I am too busy writing.

2012 film, I came across a documentary in which Daniel Pinchbeck appears. Some of you may have read Pinchbeck's book 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl, which is the sequel to his 2002 opus Breaking Open the Head: A Psychedelic Journey into the Heart of Contemporary Shamanism. Some of you may also be aware that Pinchbeck believes he was contacted by the ancient deity Quetzalcoatl in 2004 while working with Ayahuasca shamans in the Amazon.
We'll be getting back to Quetzalcoatl sometime in the near future (I shudder when I look at my in-progress queue) but I wanted to leap on this 2012 meme while the iron is still hot.
Longtime Secret Sun readers all know how everything connects back to The X-Files, and boy, does this story ever. 2012 is the big date in the XF mytharc, since that's when colonization begins (ie., the aliens take back the planet from the hairless apes).
Longtime readers also know that entheogens/hallucinogens/psychedelics are at the center of the XF mytharc, starting with Mulder's Navajo deathtrip in 'The Blessing Way' on through the discovery of 'Dr. Sandoz's tablets' in 'Biogenesis' (which followed Mulder and Scully's own alien dreaming in the heart of a giant mushroom in 'Field Trip').
Well, right in the middle of this was a standalone named 'The Amazing Maleeni', which wasn't really an X-file, but a fun little heist caper about a down-on-his-luck magician named...
...Pinchbeck.
Who, as it happens, 'broke open his head'. Well - sort of. It's a long story.
But Pinchbeck also pulls this stunt -turning his around 360o- in full view of a Ferris Wheel, which gets a lot of beauty shots in the ep. Which breaks open a whole new can of heads...
Now, I've been thinking about the Ferris Wheel (we looked at one recently) and its Eye motif, and that it's presence in this ep syncs up with mushrooms/psychedelics is particularly amusing- and almost predictable. But in the context of Alien Dreaming and the Widening Gyre there's another interesting connection, vis a vis the world's most well-known Ferris Wheel...
The Millennium Eye, know officially known as "Merlin Entertainment's London Eye." That logo is something else- I'd love to know when it was designed. Why? Well, I'm about to get back into the Sirius meme, and that logo looks nothing else like a star map of Sirius A and B. The Merlin group seems to have acquired ownership of the Eye in 2008, which as we know was the Year of Sirius (or maybe every year from here on in is the Year of Sirius, I don't know).
I guess I shouldn't be surprised by that, especially in light of this fascinating factoid:
A predecessor to the London Eye, the "Great Wheel", was built for the Empire of India Exhibition at Earls Court in 1895. Construction began in March 1894[17] and it opened to the public on July 17*, 1895.Nor should we be surprised the London Eye was also featured in an episode of Doctor Who.
And of course this episode has the magic numbers, 33, 17 and 9. Take my word for it- this series is packed to the gills with this sort of thing. In fact, my real obsession with this show came after I began this semiotic/Synchronistic work in earnest, because it slapped me in the face every time I watched one of the reruns on TNT or SciFi (a ton of strong personal syncs hit me as well, I might add, which all took on new resonance when I was hired to write the XF book).
Given the psychedelic thrust of the show around this time it's tempting to speculate this Pinchbeck thing was a nod to Daniel and his entheogenic work, but Breaking Open the Head wasn't published until three years after this ep aired, and there's no obvious link to the subject matter or his work in any context. It all seems to have been drawn into the strange attractor of the Ten Thirteen Universe.
But this is just a sidebar- we're going to begin to bring Alien Dreaming back into the orbit of Sirius, which will tie quite neatly into a certain strain in the 2012 theorizing we've been seeing so much of lately. Stay tuned...

From a prospective follow-up cohort study of 56 couples interviewed before marriage, one year post-marriage and eight years post-marriage - published by Thomas B Holman, 1996:

Time between first acquaintance and engagement: mean 5 months (mode 4 months).
Divorce rate at 8 years c. 4 percent (two couples from the fifty-six).
At eight years post-marriage, couples were asked to evaluate the shortness of the mate-selection process. Most felt it was about right, a few felt it was too long, only one felt it was too short.
Nature of choice: in this group the decision to marry was an individual, a personal choice. Parents, friends and others were sometimes consulted, but often not.
However, couples did seek spiritual input and divine confirmation of their choices: a 'spiritual manifestation' of the rightness of the choice.
