Herb Gardening The Ancient Way

Herb Gardening The Ancient Way
The traditional wiccan herb garden is in the shape of a five-pointed star set inside a nine foot circle. Choose a sunny area, preferably a private spot. Map out the circle by inserting a broken limb at the center. Tie one end of a four and a half foot string loosely about the limb and the other end to the handle of your athame. Pulling the string taut from the center, trace a nine foot circle on the ground.

The ideal time to begin is in the fall during a waning moon in a barren moon sign. Consecrate the entire area with incense and purified water. Consecrate your garden tools as well, asking for the Gods' blessings. Then begin turning the soil to a depth of 13 inches. Remove any weeds to your compost pile and break up any large clods of earth. Cover the area with several inches of compost or natural fertilizer and leaves. This can be left to winter over. Turn over lightly again in the spring.

If you had rather begin in the spring, wait until the soil has warmed up and be sure to add only composted manure to the garden plot. Remove any rough debris and turn up the nine foot circle of earth. The top point of the star should be in the North. Use a compass or go to the garden spot on a clear night and locate the North Star which is always on a direct line out from the top of the Big Dipper's cup. With more string, lay out a five pointed star inside the circle. In the center of the star place a special stone or rock painted with the sun's symbol or a growth rune.

We chose to use the center of our magick garden for a water garden with lotus, water lilies, oxygenating plants and gold fish. At night the reflection of the moon in the water is an added bonus. A tub water-garden will work just fine. The fish take care of the mosquitoes.

This is a great water source for the birds which are only too happy to assist in insect control. Welcome them with a few bird houses and supply an occasional seed feast especially during the colder months.

Before planting seedlings or seeds refer to A Magick Garden Sun & Lunar Calendar for the fertile signs of the waxing moon. Use five perennial herbs particularly of the same growth height. Beginning toward the east, place one to three plants of the same herb in each point of the star. You can get a head start by starting your own plants from seed inside six to eight weeks before the last frost. Be sure to harden the plants before planting in the garden. You do this by setting the seedlings out in a sheltered area for a few hours a day until it is time to plant them in the ground.

Garden Chant

"With limb and string I draw a circle

On consecrated ground.

And a pentagram inscribe therein

This garden round.

I plant the seeds of charm and spell

In a waxing moon.

With love and tender care I toil

to this witch's rune.

Earth to turn,

Air to cool,

I quench the thirst with water pure.

Sun, bring forth my hardy plants

For amulet and cure.

JANUARY 22, 2014-Aaron Dykes & Melissa Melton are the creators of Truthstream Media.com presenting a teleprompter-free, unscripted analysis of The Matrix we live in. Aaron is a writer, research and video producer who has worked on numerous documentaries and investigative reports.Melissa is an experienced researcher, graphic artist and investigative journalist.

We'll begin discussing dangerous food additives and chemicals, which leads us into an all encompassing conversation about the "Trifecta of Doom" surrounding the control of modern life. This trifecta includes genetically modified foods, technology and Agenda 21 mingled with social propaganda. Aaron also explains how oligarchical collectivism is seeking ultimate control of the human soul yet this is done incrementally. Infertility, eugenics, chemicals and vaccines are all part of the bigger oligarchical picture. -Radio 3Fourteen

Biliku

Biliku
"BILIKU" IS A GODDESS FROM THE ANDAMAN ISLANDS OF INDIA; SHE SOMETIMES APPEARS EMBODIED IN SPIDER'S FORM. SHE IS A POWERFUL CREATOR GODDESS WHO WAS THE FIRST BEING TO POSSESS THE SECRET OF FIRE. THE WEATHER AND SEASONS ARE ASCRIBED TO THE CONTROL OF "BILIKU", AND PARTICULARLY THE NORTHEAST MONSOON. IN THE NORTHERN GROUP OF ISLANDS THIS DEITY IS FEMALE, AND IN THE SOUTHERN GROUP IS MALE. AS SUN "GODDESS", "BILIKU" IS THE CONSORT OF BULUGA, THE SUPREME GOD OF THE ISLANDS.

SHE IS THE TEMPERAMENTAL, FEMININE PERSONIFICATION OF THE POWER OF THE NORTHEAST MONSOON, BOTH KINDLY AND FEARSOME WITH HER UNPREDICTABLE AND HARSH TEMPER WHO CREATES THE STORMS THAT WASH AWAY HOMES. THE ISLANDERS SAY THAT LIGHTNING IS THE FLASH OF A PEARL SHELL THAT SHE THROWS ACROSS THE SKY. SHE ALSO USES THE SHELL'S SHARP EDGE AS A KNIFE TO CUT OFF THE HEAD OR LIMBS OF A WRONGDOER. THE ANDAMAN ISLANDERS ALSO BELIEVE THAT THE BURNING OR MELTING OF BEESWAX AROUSES THE ANGER OF "BILIKU", THE "GODDESS" OF STORMS, THE ODOR OF THE BURNING WAX CAUSING HER TO CREATE GREAT STORMS SO THEY ABSTAIN FROM BURNING CANDLES DURING THE RAINY SEASON.

According the creation myth:

"BEFORE THE WORLD WAS EVEN CREATED, BILIKU WAS WEAVING HER WEBS AND STALKING THE GREAT EMPTY NIGHT. THEN SHE SAT DOWN TO REST, AND WITHHER GREAT FEELERS, SHE FASHIONED THE EARTH AND PLACED IT IN THE SKY. AFTERWARDS, SHE CREATED THE FIRST PEOPLE, AND PUT THEM ON THE EARTH. SO PLEASED WAS SHE WITH HER CREATION THAT SHE DECIDED TO LIVE ON EARTH HERSELF."

"BUT THE PEOPLE FOUND HER TO BE UNPREDICTABLE. WHEN SHE WAS IN A GOOD MOOD, SHE SENT WARM SUNNY DAYS AND WAS HELPFUL TO THE PEOPLE. BUT, WHEN SHE WAS ANGRY, SHE SUMMONED UP ENORMOUS CLOUDS, TERRIFYING WINDS AND LASHING STORMS. HER BELLOWS OF RAGE BECAME THUNDER, AND SHE THREW HUGE BOLTS OF LIGHTNING ACROSS THE SKY. RIVERS FLOODED THE LAND AND HOUSES WERE SWEPT AWAY ALONG WITH THEIR INHABITANTS."

Soon She grew tired of the people She had created and returned to Her home in sky, but everyone here on the Earth still fears Her terrible temper.

The Oneness In The Sacred Space

The Oneness In The Sacred Space
In the dying evening light, I walk around the land. This time, I'm not traveling, night ryding or moving between the worlds. No, I'm just watching the peace of the cherry tree as it weeps red gum from open sores in its bark. I move my toes in the low yellowing grass and run my hands over the leaves of pear and plum trees. I pass by the altar in Pomona's Grove, saying little prayers here and there, whispering good things to the pears and plums, urging them to grow full and fat and drop to the ground. I feel this wonderful peace and presence of life that is hard to do in these modern times.

That oneness we feel when we're in our element is a magical thing all by itself. My element is the wild forest and the garden and the river. My sense of oneness with not just nature or the world, but with my own soul happens when I watch the garden bloom, the bees move between the roses and the stripping of fur from flesh and the laying of bones.

We all have our own sense of peace that centers us and makes us powerful- and mine doesn't come from sitting in circles in a dusty room or reading tarot in a stuffy back room somewhere Downtown.

My sense of self, my place of power comes from my feet on green grass, my hands in branches, vines tangling in my wild black hair and gentle sunlight on my skin. Some of us find our place of power inside the home with their tools and cushions and candles. Some of us find our joy in an open field surrounded by friends and fellow pagans. I think this ties back to my post about personal styles of witchcraft and how you work your own path. Where we feel the most powerful is as important or maybe more important as the tools and colors and objects that lend to our sense of stability, focus and empowerment.

I am a woman of the wood that meets the sea and the rivers that bridge these two worlds. I've never been comfortably living away from the sea, I'm lucky to live a few minutes from the sandy shore of the Sound, and this county is pretty much a giant forest with patches of true forest stretching on as far as the eye can see in some places. I feel most powerful in the forests that are by the edge of the water; where you can hear the waves crash and the wild winds howl through the trees. That sacred space, that perfect place where you feel you were meant to be can be that refuge your spirit needs.

What does your sacred space look like? Where is it?

St Light Energy Creates Benevolent Fund

1St Light Energy Creates Benevolent Fund For Groups Looking To Convert To Solar
SOUTH PLAINFIELD, USA: 1st Light Energy, a leading provider of solar energy solutions in New Jersey, California, and Massachusetts, announced the creation of its Benevolent Solar Fund. This unique program enables municipalities and other nonprofit organizations to create substantial fundraising opportunities and save money on their electric bills while reducing their carbon footprint, without any upfront investment.

St. Benedict Catholic Church and school in Holmdel, N.J., is the first organization to take advantage of the program, with its installation completed in late February. It is part of the Catholic Diocese of Trenton, N.J. The school also has created a special Science Day to be held Monday, April 23 around the solar installation and usage so its 509 students from kindergarten to 8th grade can learn firsthand about solar energy.

As 1st Light Energy completed the project in record time, it was able to prevent St. Benedict from losing 100,000 in Solar Renewable Energy Certificate (SREC) payouts.

Under the Benevolent Solar Fund program, participating organizations will receive a tax deductible contribution of 500 or 1,000 in the name of a qualified homeowner or business owner. Under the terms of a multi-year power purchase agreement, solar panels are installed at no cost as part of a lease arrangement.

In order to receive funds under the program, eligible organizations need to organize at least 30 homeowners to attend an educational session hosted by a 1st Light Energy representative. The sessions promote solar energy, its affordability and its benefits. Funds will be awarded upon installation of the system.

"In these difficult economic times, nonprofit organizations and agencies and municipalities in New Jersey can use all the help they can get," said Justin Krum, founder, president and CEO of 1st Light Energy. "Our new Benevolent Solar Fund is a real win-win for them. They get all the benefits of clean, affordable solar-generated electricity at no cost, plus a guarantee of system production and coverage for all maintenance."

At St. Benedict, 506 solar panels were installed in 11 groups behind the school; another 429 panels were placed on the roof of the school. Evergreens will be planted to screen the ground-mounted panels from view.

"Our power purchase agreement with 1st Light will not only reduce our electric costs by more than 30 percent right off the bat, it will effectively eliminate them over 15 years because of our share in the financial benefits of the program," said St. Benedict Parish Administrator Catherine Warshaw. "This program is a great way to achieve responsible stewardship of our parish resources, and is providing us with material for valuable scientific and environmental lessons for our students."

"Also, I have the highest regard for 1st Light Energy," Warshaw continued. "Because another company was unable to complete the job, we brought the 1st Light team on board in December 2011, and they had to finish the installation by February or we would have missed a significant payout from our SREC agreements. They worked through the coldest months of the year and truly saved the day for us and our parish. We will dedicate and bless the system on Sunday April 22nd at 2 p.m. as part of our Earth Day celebration. Our students will have a similar dedication the following day."

Meditation To Meet Your Power Animal

Meditation To Meet Your Power Animal
(first letter here)This guided imagery is about meeting your power animal. Like the ancient ones, the power animals come from deep within the consciousness of our Earth Mother. Power animals are our deepest memories. We all share DNA with all the animals alive on earth. A lion has the same DNA as we do for many systems. We can, in our memories, see out of the lion's eyes. We are them. They call to us deeply, loudly.

Power animals are easier to contact than ancient ones. Their voices are louder. They are easier to see. They will come and speak to you when you need them. The animals are helpers. Like ancient ones they are guides. They tell you what you need to know. They give you their immense energy. No shaman would ever go into sacred space without their animal helper.

Read the following meditation a number of times, and then take the journey from memory. Alternatively, you could record it and play it back.

Close your eyes, take a couple of deep breaths, let your abdomen rise and fall. Allow yourself to become really relaxed. Think about a place, real or imagined, where you feel really safe, where you feel deeply connected with the earth. Now put yourself on a path. Feel your feet touch the earth, smell the fresh air, feel the warm breeze on your face. Walk down the path. It goes downhill slightly. The ground is hard and has small stones in the soil. It is solid and secure. Feel the ground and the grass that is on each side of the path. Walk down the path. It crosses a wooden bridge across a rushing stream. The bridge has stout railings. You can hear your feet echo on the bridge like a drumbeat as you walk across. If you need to drop something in the water that you want to get rid, of you can do that now.

The path now goes upwards slightly and comes over a rise. Below you is a large meadow. In the center of the meadow is a grassy circle. Sit in the circle and wait. Now ask for your power animal to come to you.

It might come from a distance or appear from nowhere. Whatever animal appears to you is your animal helper. It is your power animal. Allow the animal come towards you. Watch how it moves, listen to it speak.

You can stay in the meadow as long as you like to and feel connected to the earth. Your power animal is part of the earth. It has tendrils that reach deep into the earth, the sky, and you, and connect it all together. If you feel comfortable, you can invite your animal to come to you, touch you, even come into your body. You can merge with them and see out of their eyes.

When you feel complete, stand up and leave the meadow. The path goes out of the far side and you can walk down the path further. It leads to the edge of an ancient forest of old growth trees. Stand at the edge of the forest by a great ancient tree.

Find a tree that speaks to you and tells you to come to it. Now put your hand on the tree touch its rough back. Feel its warmth, it life. Now imagine that when you put your hand on the tree, you spiral deep into the spiral of your own being. You spiral deep inside yourself, into your heart. And inside your body, your heart opens with wings. A spirit eye opens within you and sees this experience.

Walk back to the meadow, then to the bridge, retrace your steps until you are back to where you started. Bring your spirit animal with you. Bring the connectedness with you. Now move your feet, your hands, your body. Look around. Your life has changed.

Earth Easter Island And The Doom Of Humanity

Earth Easter Island And The Doom Of Humanity
In the beginning was a mystery and the mystery was thought-provoking enough that some people felt that extra-terrestrial beings created it. Many years ago, Dutch sailors noticed an isolated island in the middle of the dark Pacific. Headed by the navigator Jacob Roggeveen, the explorers decided to land on what appeared to be an island of sand dunes. The Europeans, especially the Spaniards, were already exploring the New World and encountering strange sites-the Spanish viceroy of Peru already reported that the Incan capital was protected by high walls built by the Devil himself. So on 5 April 1722, there was an eerie feeling sweeping over the Dutch sailors as they approached the strange island.

If the Spaniards were horrified by the demonic walls of the Incas, the Dutch sailors were soon to find out that the devil-while Europe was facing the demons of Christianity-have been building his fortresses across the American continent and towards the Pacific. As they drew nearer the island they noticed large stone images floating over the dunes. "We could not comprehend how it was possible that these people, who are devoid of heavy thick timber [or] strong ropes, nevertheless, had been able to erect such images, which were fully thirty feet high," wrote Roggeveen in his journal. And then they discovered that it was not dunes they were looking at but barren hills devoid of forests and timbers.

Thousands of stone images extremely larger than the simple phallic monuments of Southeast Asia dotted the bald island. "The great mystery that struck all early visitors was not just that these colossal statues stood in such a tiny and remote corner of the world, but that the stones seems to have been put there without tackle, as if set down from the sky," said the historian Ronald Wright, and added, "The figures stood there mockingly, defying common sense." And there is indeed a certain degree of common sense education that can be learned from these statues of the "Devil"; but one may ponder as to what evil the statues caused or was the Devil a narcissist who carved his face on a thousand stones.

Rapa Nui, as the Polynesians called the island, "was once well watered and green, with rich volcanic soil supporting thick woods of the Chilean wine palm, a fine timber that can grow as big as an oak." Around 500 CE, Wright explains, "migrants from the Marquesas of the Gambiers arrived in big catamarans stocked with their usual range of crops and animals." Rapa Nui became a thriving society of around 10,000 people divided into nobles, priests and commoners. But what catastrophe occurred in Rapa Nui that made the famous Captain James Cook, who visited the island later after the Dutch, wrote that nature had "been exceedingly sparing of her favours to this spot"?

Just like the other Polynesians, the inhabitants of Rapa Nui worshipped their ancestors through the erection of statues. It became a source of pride: the larger the statue, the greater the prestige. And as generation to generation the urge for greater prestige increased, the statues too increased in size; dramatically "demanding more timber, rope, and manpower. Trees were cut faster than they could grow." The inhabitants were consuming the natural resources of the island like greedy piranhas swarming over their prey. But just as most things in this world, the perfection of an art also means the destruction of it. The sabre-toothed cat once perfected the art of killing the mammoths that they hunted them down to the last one. The extinction of the prey also meant the extinction of the predator; and in the island's case, the greater the monuments became-the more they reach perfection-the greater the pace of the destruction of the environment.

Man was the catastrophe of Rapa Nui. It is indeed chilling to hear when Wright wrote that by 1400 CE, "no more tree pollen is found in the annual layers of the crater lakes." Chaos took over as the contest for resource set in. There were skirmishes between families and tribes, and "the Europeans heard tales of how the warrior class had taken power, how the island had convulsed with burning villages, gory battles, and cannibal feasts." The "mini-civilization" of monuments, great houses, and large villages was pushed back to the early culture of the Cro-Magnons as their resources dwindled down to the last chickens they have kept. As the land resources minimized dead, sea foods could have been the only salvation. However, no timber meant no new boats; and as the last old boat faded away into oblivion, the people were doomed. Cook described them as "small, lean, timid and miserable."

There is a very strong analogy between the island called Rapa Nui and the planet called Earth-the former was destroyed by man's insatiable nature while the latter is being ravaged by man's incalculable cruelty. One can remember the Brothers: "Human beings are a disease in this planet. You are a plague." Environmentalist can argue that humanity must save earth, but one must also remember that in the 99.9% of the Earth's existence it withstood the burning hell of gravitational pull, the sea of fire created by wicked storms, ice ages that can freeze even a refrigerator, the appetite of the dinosaurs, and the impact of a thousand asteroids. Earth always had a period of rejuvenation; so there is no need to worry about earth, it can handle itself. The question is: can humanity handle Earth handling itself?

The answer is obvious enough: we hang on a balance of a 50-50 survival rate. What happened in Rapa Nui was not just an omen; it was a warning by Earth: "you can worship a million gods beneath a billion souls of your ancestors, or you can roll them all into one, I do not care. When the time comes when I declare war on humans and the living species that damaged me, no army of God will be powerful enough to stop me from changing myself!" And the earth is indeed dramatically changing. Temperatures have enormously risen since the beginning of modern civilization. Perhaps humanity may have pushed its experiment of civilization to its limits-always wanting to make the largest statue. Like Rapa Nui, everything will have an end.

Armageddon is not the coming of God on Earth; it is the day the Earth will reclaim everything it lost from the quick burst of human greed and human arrogance. Perhaps humanity should learn that what it is doing is suicide-religion made humanity blind to the fact that they came out of Earth, children of its soil, nurtured by its air, given life by its resources. The time we placed the gods and the goddesses on the pedestal of our consciousness was the time the Earth stood still. Time to relearn, what was unlearned! Then maybe, just maybe, the story of what happened on Isla de Pascua (Easter Island, also called Rapa Nui) may bring a new life for humanity.

Hail Idaho

Hail Idaho
Rolling through the country at a blistering pace we swing by and stop at the next state on the DC40 Prayer Initiative schedule.

Hail Idaho!

To add your comments, thoughts, prayers and suggestions you're welcome to leave your comments here, or head over to our Facebook Group "What Makes Your State Great". Come by tell us why you love your state. Lend support and positive energies for those coming under fire and help defend our freedom of religion.

Many of my facts are from 50states.com.

Hail Idaho!

Elk River is the home of the Idaho Champion Western Red Cedar Tree, the largest tree in the state. Estimated to be over 3000 years old this giant is more than 18 feet in diameter and stands 177 feet tall. Perched at 9,500 feet on Trinity Mountain is the highest fire lookout in the Boise National Forest.

Albertson College of Idaho in Caldwell was founded as the College of Idaho in 1891 and is the state's oldest four-year institution of higher learning. Grangeville is located in north central Idaho. The community is considered the getaway to five wilderness areas and four national forests totaling 5 1/2 million acres. The total is second only to Alaska in designated wilderness area.

The elevation of Cambridge is 2,650 feet above sea level with the surrounding mountains reaching elevations around 8000 feet and plummeting to around 1500 feet in Hells Canyon. Hell's Canyon is the deepest gorge in America. President Theodore Roosevelt established the Caribou National Forest in 1907. The area now covers more than 1 million acres in southeast Idaho.

The native tribes of Idaho are Kootenai, Kalispel, Coeur d'Alene, Palouse, Nez Perce, Northern Paiute and Shonshone - Bannock.

I found two federally recognized tribal reservations, Coeur d'Alene Reservation and the Fort Hall Indian Reservation.

Before the Christian missionaries efforts and the introduction of the Peyote religion in the late 19th centry, the Easter Shoshone practiced two forms of religion. One directed toward personal success and survival through acquisition of supernatural power from the spirit world and the second was designed for the welfare of the community and nature. They had quests for power and mythological beings were of major importance. Some of their ceremonies included "The Feather Dance", The Shuffling Dance (Ghost Dance) and the Sun Dance.

Today we also are struggling to find our place in the world. Other groups are coming in to take away what is our right to believe what we choose to believe and worship how we choose to worship. I call upon the spirits of those ancestors past that can provide us with the strength and wisdom to move forward in this fight and protect what so many have lost their lives to ensure that each new generation can enjoy.

Here is a video tribute to the Shonshone Tribes.

Branson To Host Capitol Christmas Tree

Branson To Host Capitol Christmas Tree
BRANSON WELCOMES OUR NATION'S CAPITOL CHRISTMAS TREE (City of Branson Official Release)

For the first time, our nation's official Christmas tree will make an appearance in Branson, arriving on Saturday, Nov. 15, for public viewing in front of the Grand Palace.

At 11 a.m., there will be a 30-minute, star-filled, patriotic and Christmas musical presentation. "Mr. Christmas" Andy Williams will emcee and The Spirit of Christmas dancers, The Lennon Sisters, Pierce Arrow, Bob Anderson, SIX and the cast of Celebrate America will perform.

The 138-year-old sub-Alpine Fir - or Rocky Mountain Fir - left Montana's Bitterroot National Forest on Nov. 4. It was about 100 feet tall when felled, and 77 feet will be transported.

They rejected some more perfect tree specimens because of their environmentally sensitive positions along creek banks. An elder of the local Salish Indian tribe blessed the tree at a ceremony attended by more than 600 people.

According to US Forest Service representatives, the elder said the tree has a greater calling now, to bring joy to many people. On the 3,100-mile trip, the caravan will stop in 18 Montana cities and three in North Dakota before arriving in Branson, where it will be parked in front of the Grand Palace on Saturday, November 15.

The crew of 13 people who accompany the tree will stay in Branson on Sunday, visiting local attractions. The tree on its 95-foot trailer will be housed overnight inside the Branson Convention Center.

The tree is kept fresh with a rubber "vase" on the cut end with a ready supply of water. Asking a national forest to provide "the people's tree," as the Capitol Christmas Tree is often called, is a tradition that started in 1970. Each year since then, a different national forest, and the state in which the forest is located, is asked to provide the tree, and all of the trimmings, as a gift to our nation.

The tree will be officially lit in front of the U.S. Capitol on Dec. 2.Branson EDGE

Tree Of Life Jewelry

Tree Of Life Jewelry
What a wonderful symbol of life! A powerful religious, spiritual and philosophical symbol to many, the tree is patient, still, strong and effectively eternal. There are trees older even than recorded history. A tree stands as a silent witness in the landscape to what has been and what will be. It is the nearest any living thing can be to eternal. The tree is friend and provides its shelter, its timber and its inspiration to us all. Its leaves, fruit and sap can often be used as food. A tree purifies the air we breathe, provides timber for homes, heat, and tools and produces and stores the Sun's energy in its leaves and heartwood.

Celtic Ash Moon And Solar Flares

Celtic Ash Moon And Solar Flares Equal Magical Bonus Today
We are currently in the Celtic month of the ash tree Feb 18-March 17 according to Robert Graves Celtic Tree Calendar, and tonight is the Full Ash Moon.

The Ash month is the perfect time to work magic to help put your plans into action! The ash tree has energies that are all about transformation and action, and is great for breaking through barriers that block your way to success. Breaking inertia takes strong action, according to physics an object at rest tends to remain at rest and an object in motion tends to stay in motion. The month of the ash is the time to move from rest into action. Harnessing ash tree energy this full moon can help you face a challenging situation in order to transform you and help you forge a new reality!

ASH MOON, ASH SUN

Today is a very special day in regards to the Celtic Tree Calendar, lets examine a couple of things. First of all, the Celtic Tree Calendar is a lunar calendar that revolves around the 13 moons of the year, today is the full ash moon. Ash is also associated with the sun, the Celtic sun God Lugh was said to carry a magical spear called Millar, which was made of the wood of the ash tree. It was said that no battle could be sustained against it or against the man who held it. One of Lugh's titles was Lugh of the Long Arm, possibly suggesting the spear as part of him.

So what makes today any different than any other Full Ash Moon? Large solar flares erupted on the sun this Tuesday and are due to deliver waves of solar plasma and charged particles very close to our planet "today, on the day of the full ash moon." If you live near the poles you may see brighter and more active auroras as the particles hit the earths magnetic field.

What does this mean magically? Well, if you want to work some magic using ash tree energy, this is a powerful time to do it that we may never see again in our lifetime!

Creating my Ash Tree Sun and Moon Power Amulet this morning.

ASH TREE SUN AND MOON POWER AMULET

I wrote this spell for creating this solar charged ash amulet specifically for today, but you can do it anytime, ideally during the ash month, but today during the solar flares and on the full ash moon, this spell will "rock!" You'll need a twig from an ash tree, a gold or yellow candle and a white candle. Using a wood burner if you have it, otherwise use a gold pen, or a black permanent marker, put the ogham symbol for ash in the center of the twig, put the astrological symbol for the sun above, and the moon below. Take the twig outside and pace it where the sunlight will fall upon it, even if it's cloudy where you are, the sun will still shine through the clouds. Hold your hands above it and summon the energy with these words,

"Solar rays, I call your power

Charge this amulet by the hour,

Geomagnetic energy

Fill this amulet for me,

The energies of the mighty ash

Glowing moon and solar flash

Empower this amulet of craft

As I seal now, my spell is cast."

Leave it in the sun all day and under the full moon all night. You now have a very powerful amulet full of the special energies of the day, the power of ash, the sun, the moon and the geomagnetic energies of the earth. Use this amulet can now give a powerful boost to any spell that needs extra umph. You can also keep it near your front door and use it to magically protect your space, near your bed to ward off nightmares, or in your car for safe travel. Ash is the Swiss army knife of the Celtic trees. Carry it in your pocket for protection from negative energy.

Ash is used for spells involving taking action, healing, protection from psychic attack, destroying negativity, banishing nightmares, solar magic, communication, intellect, safe travel over water, transition, growth, creativity, and success.

Here's a closeup of the one I made, it's sitting outside collecting energy now, I used a wood burner for the ogham, and both a permanent marker and gold paint pen for the sun and moon designs.

SATELLITES AND COMMUNICATIONS

Be aware that today we may also have minor disruptions, solar radiation storms can sometimes interrupt communications and power grids on Earth, and we might see some interfere with satellites today. Of course power grid operators have been alerted and are watching for any potential problems. If you're planning a flight today over one of the poles, there may be communication problems, but again, the aircraft operators have already taken precautionary measures. Any disruptions should be minor, if they happen at all, but the potential for a big boost for any sun magic done today is very good!

Happy Ash Moon!
