BOOK: AFRICAN DOLLS FOR PLAY AND FOR MAGIC BY ESTHER DAGAN
African Dolls across the continent are created for young girls to play with and as a charm to insure fertility in women. Their shape and costume vary according to region and custom. Frequently dolls are handed down from mother to daughter. Western dolls are popular in Africa and are often dressed with traditional garb.
When the concept of "doll" is considered in the context of African culture, they are usually not children's playthings, but rather objects that are laden with ritual and religious associations within the community. African dolls are used to teach, and entertain, they are Supernatural intermediaries, and they are manipulated for ritual purposes. Each of these dolls are unique because they are hand made and are traditionally handed down through generations.

War And The Devil

Last Sunday was the English Remembrance Day, dating from the 1914-18 Great War.
As we reached the end of a sermon on war, and the fact that God was present always despite the horror of war, I was aware that while everything which had been said was true, it felt incomplete.
What was missing was the devil.
*
I don't really see how a Christian can properly address the topic of war without reference to Satan.
Without that reference we have - on the one hand, the sinfulness of men and on the other the Goodness of God - but what when the sinfulness of men becomes organized, purposive, when torments are not 'merely' a by product of military necessity but are planned and delighted in, relished?
A particular horror of war is the excuse and opportunity it gives for this kind of strategic sin that delights in inflicting atrocity.
This is, of course, the hallmark of the demonic in its extreme form - and ought to be labelled as such.
*
One reason why Christians should strive not to be worldly, is that in this world Satan is greatly powerful. The same delight in torture, the delight in the act of torture, is evident in at an everyday level in malicious gossip (i.e. 99 percent of discourse in the public arena), and in "Schadenfreude "- pleasure in the misfortune of others: a species of that most odious vice ENVY; and an almost ubiquitous and indeed socially-sanctioned sin from which few are immune and of which many openly boast.
*
Not the least evil of Leftism is that it puts envy at the core of politics; celebrates and institutionalizes envy, spite, delight in the misfortune of enemies; builds a vast edifice of policy and sanctions on envy.
The Left just is "a coalition of envy".
*
When when it comes to war, Christians need to be aware that leaving-out the devil makes them sound unreal.
Ultimate eternal victory of God is assured; but meanwhile we are here on earth under the dominion of darkness; and we would not be thinking about war if that fact did not affect us.
The world, the flesh "and "the devil.

BEING STALKED, BOTHERED? USE THIS SPELL, BUT FIRST GET RID OF EVERYTHING THE PERSON MAY HAVE GIVEN YOU, EVEN JEWELERY! THEN LIGHT TWO BLACK CANDLES AND SAY:
"by basilisk and bloodstone
by the garlic in the fields
by the poppies and what they yield
invisibly I make my shield
to detect thee and deflect thee
By dragon's blood and salamanders
by horses when their hooves strike sparks
by the dragon breathing flames from the Book of Life
I erase thy names
I cut the cords and unlock the chains
I sever all the ties by which we were bound
and with impenetrable walls myself I surround
against thy power and its source
against thy evil and its source
Vesta, Pele, Lilith Kali Kali Kali
I banish thee forever from me
and any harm from thee to me
doubles back and tables turned
thou shalt by thyself be burned
Lilith, Vesta, Pele Kali Ma Kali Ma
by the power of three times three I banish thee,
I banish thee, I banish thee I am set free So mote it be! "

It's difficult to understand the dynamics of God at War. It makes you feel, sometimes, that we are all pawns in a huge game. But you must understand this earthly existence is but a period in the entire Bible. The dimensions we do not perceive are far greater than what we think is real. Indeed, there is not one universe, but many. Indeed there is not one planet with life, but many. We underestimate our Heavenly Father. He is a fabulous creator whose limits are far beyond our understanding. The Bible is but a "snapshot" in eternity. Knowing that his most precious creation (we that are created in his image) would not understand the significance of his magnitude, he presented us a road map to salvation. A road map that leads to an eternity. An eternity to rule and reign forever as part of His mighty army of powerful eternal leaders.
SATAN'S ARMY ATTACKS
So the dynamic we see here on earth is a war in which God himself draws lines. Just like in the Book of Job, he sets limits. When Satan's army tries to cross those limits, he steps in and takes over. This dynamic is demonstrated by the fact that He will eventually "wipe out the earth" and create a new one. Once He has had ENOUGH, He steps in with His mighty hand and adds a "bit of a twist". God laughs in the face of his enemy because He knows he is in full control to His end.
PROV 1:24-27
"Because I have called and you refused,"I have stretched out my hand and no one regarded, "Because you disdained all my counsel,"And would have none of my rebuke,"I also will laugh at your calamity;"I will mock when your terror comes,"When your terror comes like a storm,"And your destruction comes like a whirlwind,"When distress and anguish come upon you. "
NKJV
By now you should be fully aware that the minions of our enemy have intentionally caused the Deepwater Horizon catastrophe. Surely by now you know that Goldman Sachs sold a world record amount of BP stock just prior to the unexplained event. Never mind Halliburton's investments and oceans of other evidence that has surfaced, there is no question our enemy created this catastrophe to their end.
And indeed God will have the "last laugh".
But you must remember, as harsh as this might seem, it is to His mighty end! Many of us will live to see astonishing disasters and wonder how God can allow this to happen. I remind you to anchor yourself in the scripture, and read Revelation (and Daniel, Ezekiel and Isaiah) and refresh your memory of what is about to take place.
MATT 5:45-46
"for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust."
NKJV
GOD STRIKES BACK
It is with mixed emotions I bring this to your attention. As a resident of the Gulf coast of the United States, I realize that it is possible the "rain" might fall directly on me and my family. But be it known, I am at peace with this dynamic and am perfectly happy to watch the rest of this unfold from the mezzanine in Heaven.
We have all speculated and prayed about the unfolding nightmare of the Gulf and the demonic plan to destroy the sea for the gain of the "possessed. "Never mind this oil rig disaster was highlighted on the movie entitled "The Knowing" with Nicolas Cage. Never mind "Operation Black Jack" featured a hidden code in their cartoon series about "912 days later" and "dangerous winds" occurring on June 23, 2010. Never mind the 10 bill prophecy and what appears to be God himself trying to warn us these things are about to occur. While we can get "hints" about what the enemy is up to, WHO KNOWS? Only God Himself.
Our mission is clear. Get right with the Lord Your God and establish a direct and personal relationship with Jesus Christ NOW. Pray DIRECTLY to your Father Who Art in Heaven to forgive you of your sins, IN THE NAME OF JESUS... RIGHT NOW.
UNDERWATER FIRE
By now you have surely heard about the Mass Media Blackout that is in effect on the Louisiana coast line. Surely you are aware there are squadrons of helicopters covering the skies and a military troop buildup of apocalyptic proportions in the area. "The enemy is in a panic." It seems as if they know God has stepped in and upset their master plan.
Amongst all the speculation, one thing appears to be most evident. The earth is not only bellowing oil, indeed the earth is not only bellowing tens of thousands of gallons of "methane", but NOW there is UNDERWATER FIRE!
The enemy is in a panic. It seems to me, God has stepped in and added a "twist". My guess is that the enemy had no idea what they were messing with when they "tipped over" this oil well to their gain. In fact, most of us probably don't realize there is an ENORMOUS continental wide "natural gas" pocket under North America that can blow at any time the Lord wants.
See:
"Lord as these amazing and glorious events unfold, let us remain calm and basked in the glory of your eternal LOVE. Help us to see the "big picture" and know that in all of this we will rule and reign with you forever in your Heavens. Heavenly Father, we ask that you keep your saints protected as much as is within your will and that your will shall be done, here on earth as it is in heaven. Save as many of your blessed loyal and loving believers for your Son Jesus, and spare your saints of any earthly suffering as you see fit. We LOVE YOU LORD, with all our hearts, and look forward to worshipping you forever in your loving arms. In JESUS NAME,... SO BE IT!"
IF THESE EVENTS UNFOLD INTO A GREAT DISASTER
AND TRIBULATION-NOW BECOMES BUT A MEMORY
REMEMBER, IT IS AND WAS, A VICTORY FOR THE LORD OUR GOD
AND I WILL BE WAITING FOR YOU AT THE MARRIAGE SUPPER OF JESUS!
Don't be late, the food will get cold!
BE BLESSED IN JESUS NAME

He aqu'i algunas instrucciones para cumplir con ambos objetivos.

The Pope Asks For Forgiveness Sightings Martin Marty

For the past decade or so we have been inundated with reports of priestly sexual abuse of young people. We have been privy to the airing of much dirty laundry, and we've watched as bishops have tried to dodge accusations of dereliction of duty. Non-Catholics have often taken delight in these reports - not the abuse itself but the humiliating effects on the Catholic Church itself. As we make our way through Holy Week, Martin Marty highlights the Pope's request for forgiveness. In a very unscripted way, the Pope has taken responsibility and declared that these acts of abuse are acts of evil. My hope is that this is the beginning of a new day, but we must all keep in mind the frailty of our communities, for it is not merely the Catholic Church that has seen scandalous behavior. I invite you to take a read.
Pope asks for forgiveness
by MARTIN E. MARTY

Holy Week in the Western Christian calendar is a time for Christians to confess their sins, ask for forgiveness, and seek to amend their lives. A billion believers will be doing all that in the five days ahead. Some may do it in their churches, some in other places of their choosing, and more in their own heads and hearts.
Leaders of many different churches are encouraging their fellow-believers to ask God and other humans for forgiveness. One of these leaders made headlines this week because of his extraordinary role, gifts, status, character, and celebrity. Thus: "Pope Takes Responsibility for Priests' Abuse Scandal (New York Times, "April 11) and "Pope Asks Forgiveness for Priest Abuse Cases" ("Reuters, "April 11).
Predictably and understandably, leaders of organizations protesting the ways of bishops and others who fall far short of atoning acts and becoming accountable, made headlines of their own. They dismiss the Pope's words as mere words, and keep their suspicions high. Their cause deserves attention, but the Pope has to be heard first. What astounds is the way in which he addressed the topic.
We have heard the language of many bishops and other leaders whose scripts are vetted, if not written, by diocesan attorneys, which means that few took them seriously. We have also heard many abusers who, along with other miscreants, whisper that they "made mistakes." (One wishes that "I made a mistake" could be banished from serious records: apologies for "mistakes" are meaningless.)
The Pope did not say he made mistakes, though he knows he makes them. Refreshingly, he used the word "evil" for the perpetrators of child sexual abuse, and he talked of his personal responsibility for the way the church handled the cases. In other words, he spoke in terms of commitment, and not mere reportage.
He will be tested by parents of priest-abused children, adults who were once victims, and all the agencies who represent children-abused or not-in the church. Listen: "I feel compelled to personally take on all the evil... to personally ask for forgiveness." At last we are getting classic, non-bureaucratic, non-managerial confession and language of resolve.
"Sightings" has rarely addressed this subject, for a number of reasons. First, for non-Roman Catholics to point fingers can obscure their own churches' flaws. (The week of the Pope's confession I received word from our local Lutheran bishop about radical action against a pastor who broke his marital vows and sexually misused women in the church.)
Other reasons: Catholics who are helping set their house in order are more credible and helpful than non-Catholics would be in helping bring about a better future. Pope Francis took major first steps with his personal word, spoken informally and without script, and he will be busy for the rest of his pontificate with following through.
Can one legitimately speak, as does the Pope, of one's personal guilt in an instance like this, where others notably sinned?
Those who understand Catholic theology or, for that matter, biblical theology recognize that they can and should. In the Hebrew Scriptures, recalled by Jews last week, the whole community (=tribe? family?) suffered when individuals in it were errant. The New Testament speaks of believers sharing life in the "Body of Christ,' the church. When one suffers, all suffer. When one has reason to rejoice, "the many" can rejoice and join in supportive action.
For the Pope, all this is more than a catechism lesson: it's life.

In late August, we celebrate the beginning of the Corn Moon. This moon phase is also known as the Barley Moon, and carries on the associations of grain and rebirth that we saw back at Lammastide. August was originally known as Sextilis by the ancient Romans, but was later renamed for Augustus (Octavian) Caesar.

Good afternoon everyone, sorry for the late start today. I had to get my work out done and then head over to make breakfast for my Grandmother. She's 96 years old, and we get together as a family every other Sunday to make the traditional breakfast for her. Not a whole lot that I eat any more, but I always try to bring her some fresh fruit to have. We always have a great time.
Today keeping up with the DC40 Prayer initiative we're heading straight into the next state on their prayer siege. I'm still watching the headlines to see if they're posting anything and so far, the only thing I've seen has been counter protests. Nothing from DC40 themselves. So let's get to it!
As always my facts come from 50states.com and if you'd like to join our discussion please head over to "What Makes Your State Great", our group on Facebook.
Hail Iowa!
Crystal Lake is home to a statue of the world's largest bullhead fish. The state's smallest city park is situated in the middle of the road in Hiteman. West Okoboji is the deepest natural lake in the state. Its depth is 136 feet.
Spirit Lake is the largest glacier-made lake in the state. Rathbun Dam and Reservoir is the largest body of water in the state.
Imes Bridge is the oldest of Madison County's six bridges.
Iowa is the only state whose east and west borders are 100% formed by water. Missouri and Mississippi rivers. Iowa is the only state name that starts with two vowels.
The original inhabitants of Iowa are:
The Dakota Sioux tribe
The Illinois (Illini) tribe
The Ioway tribe
The Missouria tribe
The Otoe tribe

Sending light love and protection to the great state of Iowa!

Quotes And Facts Behold The Gloryincarnation

Here are some quotes from most of the eight essays contained in this short work which attempts to explore Christian theology through various artistic mediums. The inclusion of each quote does not imply that I endorse each opinion expressed in them. I am merely seeking discussion on the subject of the relationship between the arts and theology.
Trevor Hart in "Through The Arts: Hearing, Seeing and Touching The Truth."
p21- "Is there any sense in which art itself, through its capacity to transform our vision of and response to the world, shares in or corresponds to that redemptive activity of God?"
Malcolm Guite in "Through Literature: Christ and the Redemption of Language."
p.28- "Because a certain kind of "bloodless" and abstract theology used words in such a way to alientate people from the incarnate Word, so now it falls to the artist to redeem language, to use imaginative language to restore what a language devoid of imagination has destroyed."
p30- "But Christians, especially those called to preach or share the word, should take a special interest when those 'outside' the faith are drawn to deal with its mysteries and should listen closely when they tell us what our orthodoxy has sounded like to them."
p32- "One reason why it is so essential that we begin again to do our theology through the arts, is that the arts are never "discarnate", they always begin and end in the realm of time and sense, however much they give us glimpses of another realm that transcends it."
p45.- "A literary imagination, open to the light of Christ, has the power to move us beyond the limitations of ideological arguement, and take us to the far side of the cross, on a journey with the One who was incarnate into every part of the world and every corner of the human heart."
Sara B. Savage in "Through Dance: Fully Human, Fully Alive."
p65- "This kind of intellectualism has had a marked influence on the Christian Church, and not least, its approach to the person of Christ. At times it has encouraged an attitude to Christ which gives excessive weight to what can be expressed in propositions, apprehended by the mind. This has limited the resources with which we hold together the divine and human natures of Christ. Two extremes typically result: Christ is all/only divine or Christ is all/only human."
p.66- "Movement is thus one of the first languages through which we gain personal knowledge, and as a result, the capacity for propositional knowledge. Hence it is appropriate (perhaps even necessary?) that we use movement to enrich our personal knowledge of Christ (whom we must approach by faith with our whole selves, not only our intellect)."
Jim Forest in "Through Icons: Word and Image Together."
p86- "The catacombs bear witness that wherever Christians prayed, they sought to create a visual environment that reminded them of the Kingdom of God and helped them to pray."
p.89- Here Forest provides a quote from St. John of Damascus (676-749) on icons:
"If we made an image of the invisible God, we would certainly be in error...but we do not do anything of the kind; we do not err, in fact, if we make the image of God incarnate who appeared on earth in the flesh, who in his ineffable goodness, lived with men and assumed the nature, the volume, the form, and the colour of flesh."
p.92- Forest quotes St. Sergius of Radonezh: "Contemplation of the Holy Trinity distroys all discord."
Graham Cray in "Through Popular Music: Wholy Holy."
p119-120- Here Cray is speaking of culture: "...within the human sciences as a whole, culture now refers to the whole of society with particular references to the ways in which human beings make or discover meaning. Cultural studies recognises that people make meaning through the everyday resources of their lives. A Sony Walkman has as much involvement in the making of meaning as the underlying economic and social forces involved in its creation and marketing...this understanding of the relationship between culture and meaning applies to every aspect of culture, including any art form regarded as elite...Christian theology must resist the tendency of some cultural studies to claim that reality is" entirely "constructed by culture or through language. Instead it adopts a view that combines God's initial and ongoing creativity with human stewardship and discovery in partnership with God...But theology can nevertheless agree that culture, including popular culture, does involve the shaping, as well as the identification of meaning."
p121- "It is just because popular music is a mass medium that it has the capacity to introduce substantial themes into its audience's everyday life and experience, in such a way that people are enabled to engage with them significantly."
p135- "When resistance to temptation becomes costly, the critical issue is the trustworthiness of the Father. The cost is bearable if the Father can be trusted. At the heart of the incarnation is the revelation of the trustworthiness of the Father."

Thank The Goddess For Pagan Activists
Posted by

/ 4:11 PM /
Florida has been on quite a roll lately. Aren't we just the hubbub of activity these days?
In April of this year, our good friend and one of the pioneering pagan children's authors, Kyrja Withers, and her husband underwent severe threatening harassment, which began with people screaming expletives and honking as they drove by, progressing to a pellet gun being fired at her house, and then escalating to two acid bombs being tossed into her front yard.
This, of course, would cause any family extreme fear and stress about any further harassment and the level to which it might continue to escalate ~ all of this as a result of a misperception about our beliefs.
Yet, even though these events occurred because of misunderstandings by people uneducated regarding the tenets of paganism, what does a victim of such physically threatening prejudice do? Often times, pagans have had to move and suffer not only the stress of relocation, but sometimes having to surrender employment and selling property in unfavorable housing markets.
This time, however, champions appeared. Selena Fox with the Circle Sanctuary (a national activist in pagan and other concerns), in concert with Peter Dybing (now considered a local pagan hero here in Florida) along with the Lady Liberty League stepped in to educate and even offer protection in the Kyrja Withers matter.
As the Florida Pagan / Wiccan Community begins to recover from the impact of such physically threatening attacks against one of their beloved members, yet another issue steps in to raise concern in the Community surrounding Florida's newest pagan festival, the Lake Okeechobee Summer Solstice Pagan Festival, scheduled to take place over the Summer Solstice this year.
Despite all the advanced and careful planning, notifications, and advertising in the many, many months preceding the event, several Christian clergy have JUST NOW become aware of and are apparently now inflamed over the pending festival. Such disapproval, of course, was expressed in the media while displaying an amazing lack of understanding and education in this day and age regarding any aspect of paganism reverting to comments filled with words such as warlocks and warning against the impending evils of belly dancing and magic spells.
What the article fails to stress, however, is that this is the opinion of a FEW members of the local residents. It also fails to mention the positive benefits our various Florida festivals have had on local municipalities and townships including the positive financial impact on local businesses, some of whom actually cater specifically to pagans during the festivals. I guess making a positive impact on local communities is not as dramatic as hollering warlocks and magic spells. Oh, and let's not forget the evils of belly dancing - an art form which has been employed as a form of physical fitness in many Christian based exercise programs, by the way. At least they didn't mention the Flying Ointment because we all know about the "FLYING OINTMENT"!
We have faced prejudice before and this is nothing new. What is really important about this situation is the responsive presence by Selena Fox, Peter Dybing, and the Lady Liberty League offering once again to educate the uneducated - if they will listen to them - in a calm, professional, non-aggressive stance. They stand for an evolution in the Community, not only in Florida and the United States, but, hopefully, a worldwide movement to protect and defend our rights utilizing peace driven and education focused directives. It takes activists to do this - strong activists - to take a strong stance without enflaming either the Pagan & Wiccan Communities or the Christian community while offering the security of protection and assistance that Pagans and Wiccans need to preserve their rights.
So for these reasons, I salute Selena Fox, Peter Dybing, and the Lady Liberty League for being champions and guardians for the rights of Pagans and Wiccans not only in Florida, but elsewhere as well. May they remain as examples and inspiration for others in the Community.

Rede And Charge

/ 7:02 PM /
THE REDE AND THE CHARGE
The Wiccan Rede is a moral guide to which Wiccans hold themselvesaccountable. Similar to an earlier writing by Aleister Crowley, "Do what thou
wilt shall be the whole of the Law," was transmuted to read, "And ye harm
none, do what thou wilt," and is now the most commonly accepted version of
the Wiccan Law. It was adopted because it represents some of the most
fundamental Wiccan principles, having made its way into the following poem.
The Law is about self-accountability, self-responsibility, and above all,
self-awareness. It speaks of the need to be more aware of the fact that what
we do affects other people and living things. Wicca does not restrict us to a set
of defined guidelines. We are of our own command, but the underlying principle
is that what we do should not hurt others.
A frequently overlooked principle of the Rede is that harming none
includes not harming ourselves. Even knowing this, many Wiccans do not take
an active part in keeping themselves from harm. We may not inflict intentional
physical pain upon ourselves, but we would do better to take care of our bodies.
Once the body is exhausted beyond its means, the spark of life cannot
continue.
THE WICCAN REDE
And ye harm none, do what thou wilt.
THE WICCAN REDE
Extended Version 1
Bide in the Wiccan Law ye must,
In perfect love and perfect trust.
Eight words the Wiccan Rede fulfill:
An ye harm none, do what ye will.
Ever mind the Rule of Three:
What ye send out, comes back to thee.
Follow this with mind and heart,
And merry ye meet, and merry ye part.
(Author unknown)
THE WICCAN REDE
Extended Version 2
Bide ye the Wiccan laws ye must, in perfect love and perfect trust.
Ye must live and let live, fairly take and fairly give.
Cast the circle thrice about, to keep unwelcome spirits out.
To bind the spell well every time, let the spell be spake in rhyme.
Soft of eye and light of touch, speak ye little and listen much.
Deosil1 goes by waxing moon, chanting out the Wiccan rune.
Widdershins2 go by waning moon, chanting out the baneful tune.
When the Lady's moon is new, kiss the hand to Her times two.
When the moon rides at Her peak, then the heart's desire seek.
Heed the North wind's mighty gale, lock the door and trim the sail.
When the wind comes from the South, love will kiss thee on the mouth.
When the moor wind blows from the West, departed spirits have no rest.
When the wind blows from the East, expect the new and set the feast.
Nine woods in the cauldron go, burn them quick and burn them slow.
Elder be the Lady's tree, burn it not or cursed ye'll be.
When the Wheel begins to turn, let the Beltane fires burn.
When the Wheel has turned to Yule, light the log and the Horned One rules.
Heed ye flower, bush and tree, by the Lady blessed be.
Where the rippling waters go, cast a stone, the truth to know.
When ye have and hold a need, hearken not to other's greed.
With a fool no seasons spend, or be counted as his friend.
Merry meet and merry part, bright the cheeks and warm the heart.
Mind the Threefold Law ye should, three times bad and three times good.
When misfortune is now, wear the blue star on thy brow.
True in love ye must ever be, lest they love be false to thee.
These eight words the Wiccan Rede fulfill: "An harm ye none, do what thou
will."
THE CHARGE OF THE GODDESS
Listen to the words of the Great Mother, she who was of old also called among
mortals Artemis, Astarte, Athene, Dione, Melusine, Aphrodite, Kali Ma,
Cerridwen, Isis, Arianrhod, Brigid, and by many other names:
"Whenever you have need of anything, once in the month, and better it be
when the Moon is full, then shall ye assemble in some secret place and call
upon the spirit of me who is Queen of all the Witches. There shall ye assemble,
ye who are fain to learn all sorcery yet have not won its deepest secrets; to
these I will teach things that are as yet unknown. And ye shall be free from
slavery, and as a token that ye be truly free, ye shall be naked in your rites.
Dance, sing, feast, make music and love, all in My praise. For Mine is the
ecstasy of the spirit and Mine is also joy on earth. My law is love unto all
beings.
"Keep pure your highest ideals; strive ever toward them, let naught turn you
aside, for Mine is the secret door which opens upon the door of youth. And Mine
is the cup of the Wine of Life and Cauldron of Cerridwen, which is the Holy Grail
of immortality. I am the gracious Goddess, who gives the gift of joy unto the
hearts of men and women. Upon Earth I give knowledge of the spirit eternal
and beyond death I give peace, freedom, and reunion with those who have
gone before. Nor do I demand sacrifice, for behold, I am the Mother of all
things, and My love is poured out upon the Earth."
"Hear ye the words of the Star Goddess, She in the dust of whose feet are the
hosts of heaven, whose body encircles the universe:
"I am the beauty of the green Earth and the white Moon among the stars and
the mysteries of the waters. I call unto thy soul, arise and come unto Me, for I
am the soul of nature who gives life to the universe. From Me all things proceed
and to Me all must return. And before My face, beloved of gods and humans, let
thine innermost divine self be enfolded in the rapture of the Infinite.
"Let my worship be within the heart that rejoices, for all acts of love and
pleasure are My rituals. Therefore let there be beauty and strength, power and
compassion, honor and humility, mirth and reverence within you. And thou who
thinkest to seek Me, know that seeking and yearning shall avail thee not, unless
thou knowest the Mystery: if that which thou seekest, thou findest not within
thee, thou shalt never find it without. For, behold, I have been with thee from
the beginning, and I am that which is attained at the end of desire."
THE CHARGE OF THE GOD
Listen to the words of the Great Father, who of old was called Osiris, Adonis,
Zeus, Thor, Pan, Cernunnos, Herne, Lugh, and by many other names:
"My Law is Harmony with all things. Mine is the secret that opens the gates of
life and mine is the dish of salt of the earth that is the body of Cernunnos that
is the eternal circle of rebirth. I give the knowledge of life everlasting, and
beyond death I give the promise of regeneration and renewal. I am the
sacrifice, the father of all things, and my protection blankets the earth."
"Hear the words of the dancing God, the music of whose laughter stirs the
winds, whose voice calls the seasons:
"I who am the Lord of the Hunt and the Power of the Light, sun among the
clouds and the secret of the flame, I call upon your bodies to arise and come
unto me. For I am the flesh of the earth and all its beings. Through me all
things must die and with me are reborn. Let my worship be in the body that
sings, for behold all acts of willing sacrifice are my rituals. Let there be desire
and fear, anger and weakness, joy and peace, awe and longing within you. For
these too are part of the mysteries found within yourself, within me, all
beginnings have endings, and all endings have beginnings."
