Definies Feitiaria E Bruxaria

Definies Feitiaria E Bruxaria

Bonds

Bonds

SPIRITUAL MEANING:

There are two meanings for bonds in dreams. One is as in savings bonds (promissory notes) and the second as in bindings and cords. Spiritually, the significance is that of an undertaking, the changing of conflict into law and order, of chaos into cosmic order. Evil can traditionally be contained by binding it, whether by magical technique, symbolism or visualization. Depending on whether the dreamer is being bound or doing the binding, it shows submission to a greater force.

PSYCHOLOGICAL / EMOTIONAL PERSPECTIVE:

Depending on whether we are giving or receiving promissory bonds, we need to consider our emotional commitment to ourselves and our own concerns. To be aware of being fettered, snared or held fast by chains or other such bonds indicates the possibility that our emotional selves may be out of control.

EVERYDAY MATERIAL ASPECTS:

To dream of promissory notes indicates that we have a sense of commitment to a person or a principle - that we are capable of making promises which we can keep. To dream of other bonds deals with the binding or holding that can occur in situations and relationships.

Emergent Author Donald Miller Enneagram

Emergent Author Donald Miller Enneagram And Who Feels Closer To God

Posted by Christine Pack

In a recent article, popular emergent author Donald Miller (Blue Like Jazz) pondered who feels closer to God: liberal theologians or conservative theologians. In this article, Miller also deconstructed the personality traits of both liberals v. conservatives through the use of something known as the Enneagram in an effort to answer this question. What in the world is the Enneagram? I'm so glad you asked, because it is something that is rapidly gaining popularity in Christian circles, but it is far from Christian in its beliefs. The Enneagram is something that is promoted as a tool for assessing one's personality traits. More insidiously, however, it has at its root some very troubling New Age theology; chiefly, the idea that all people are born with a Divine inner spark. Rather than being Christian in nature, this view of the Divine inner spark is distinctly eastern and panentheistic:

"Our true nature is Essence. Essence and personality are not separate: personality exists in, and is made out of Essence. While we have a personality, it is only a part of the totality of our true Self. Most of the time we are entranced by our personality and do not remember our Essential nature, or who we really are." (online source)Also, in Enneagram teachings, there does not seem to be a concept of personal sin:

"Remember that all negative behavior is the result of unprocessed pain. In the course of our work, we uncover difficult feelings, powerful Essential states, and many qualities of emptiness. The more we can learn to tolerate these different aspects of ourselves, the more quickly and smoothly our work will progress." (online source)The closest thing the Enneagram has to the Christian concept of sin is that "unprocessed pain" (not sin) results in one's life not running as smoothly as one wishes. This is in distinct contrast to the biblical understanding of sin, and is actually more Buddhist in theology than Christian. This belief also diminishes one's personal responsibility for sinful behavior toward others. Indeed, there does not even seem to be an understanding of sin according to the Enneagram construct. Now, as a former New Ager, I can bear witness that this idea of there not being a concept or even an understanding of sin is "extremely" New Age. What biblical Christians would regard as sin that needs to be repented of and turned from is, according to the Enneagram, merely "unprocessed pain" that gets in the way of one's desired life:

"Remember that it is our birthright and our natural state to be wise and noble, to be loving and generous, to esteem ourselves and others, to be creative and constantly renewing ourselves, to be engaged in the world in awe and wonder and in depth, to have courage and to be able to rely on ourselves, to be joyous and effortlessly accomplished, to be strong and effective, to be self-possessed and enjoy an unshakable peace of mind-and above all, to be present to the unfolding mystery of our lives." (online source)The above ideas, too, are far more New Age than they are Christian. While a born again Christian "is" given the right to be called a child of God, and given a new heart and new desires, it is no-one's "birthright" to have the gifts listed by the Enneagram Institute:

- to be wise

- to be loving

- to esteem others

- to have peace of mind

- etc.In fact, we know from Scripture that we are born sinful, and that our only "birthright" is rightful condemnation:

"SURELY I WAS SINFUL AT BIRTH, SINFUL FROM THE TIME MY MOTHER CONCEIVED ME. SURELY YOU DESIRE TRUTH IN THE INNER PARTS; YOU TEACH ME WISDOM IN THE INMOST PLACE." Psalm 51:5-6"THE WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH; BUT THE FREE GIFT OF GOD IS ETERNAL LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD. Romans 6:23Not only are we born into sin, but it is God alone who is able to free us from the bondage of sin through Christ's atoning death which we access by repentance and faith. And it is God alone who grants gifts such as wisdom, a loving heart, the ability to supernaturally and selflessly love others, etc. In fact, it is not even within anyone's ability to have any of these gifts "without" the regenerative work of the Holy Spirit. We know from Scripture that these are gifts that only come from being born again. Without regeneration, we are wretched creatures: self-seeking, vain, prideful and unable to have peace of mind about the most important thing a human could possibly contemplate...whether or not one is right with God.

But back to the question in Donald Miller's article: who "feels" more at home with God...conservative theologians or liberal theologians?

I would submit that the real issue is not whether or not people "feel" at home with God, but whether or not they are actually, "positionally", right with God. And this actually being right with God only comes through faith in Christ's atoning death. Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims, and Jews often "feel at home" with God...only, they're not. ONLY true, born again Christians will actually BE near to God. And yet, as a practicing Hindu before becoming a born again Christian, I "felt" very near to God. Such is the deceptive nature of false religion. In fact, when Christians would witness to me, I would laugh at them. I just knew they were wrong because my mystical experiences of "god" were so powerful and profound and spiritual that it never even occurred to me that I could be the one who was in the wrong. So what we "feel" can never be our guide about whether or not something is true. The Bible tells us that the heart (feelings), absent the regenerative work of the Holy Spirit, is deceitful, and is not to be trusted.

"THE HEART IS DECEITFUL ABOVE ALL THINGS, AND DESPERATELY WICKED: WHO CAN KNOW IT? Jeremiah 17:9So again, back to Miller's article. Liberal/emergent theologians (like the ones mentioned in his article) do not hold to orthodox Christianity: their views of God are decidedly panentheistic/mystical in nature, and the leaders of this movement outright deny the essentials of the faith. I'm not saying people under the teachings of this movement can't ever be saved...in fact, I believe that many of them are confused. But IF in fact they do hold to emergent theology, they are not saved. So whether or not they "feel" close to God is irrelevant. The fact would remain that, regardless of their deceitful feelings, they would be far from God because they are in rebellion to how he has revealed himself in his Word.

"WE KNOW THAT GOD DOES NOT LISTEN TO SINNERS. HE LISTENS TO THE GODLY MAN WHO DOES HIS WILL." John 9:31"THE LORD IS FAR FROM THE WICKED BUT HE HEARS THE PRAYER OF THE RIGHTEOUS. Proverbs 15:29 We are living in a very feelings-oriented culture in which people divorce and remarry based on how they feel or don't feel about their spouses. People leave their jobs, move hundreds of miles away, end relationships, buy houses, etc., often on just a whim or a feeling. We can see all around us the effects of people being driven by their fickle feelings. But as for Christians, we know that the "only" sure foundation for our lives is studying, knowing and obeying God's word. In fact, I can attest for myself that studying and knowing God's Word has had a profoundly steadying influence on my life. As a feelings-driven, New Age mystic, I was the epitome of the James 1:8 person: double-minded and unstable in all my ways. And it wasn't until I began to rely solely on God's Word (the Reformation principle known as "Sola Scriptura") as a Christian, that my Christian walk actually began to be fruitful.

One of the best compliments I ever received as a Christian was from a girlfriend who was having marriage problems, and who was seeking my counsel, as her friend. After some discussion, I circled back to something I had previously commented on, and said, "You know, let me revise what I just said there. I would like to take some more time to think this through and make sure that my counsel to you lines up with God's Word." My friend got tears in her eyes and said, "This is why I came to you: I knew you wouldn't give me your thoughts and worldly wisdom. I knew you would give me "truth"."

I knew what she meant, and it has nothing to do with me being so smart or a good counselor or anything like that. It meant that she knows me well enough to know that I have a very high view of God's Word, and that to the best of my ability and aided by the Holy Spirit, I would attempt to give her counsel that was in alignment with what God desired of her in this matter.

Friends, we don't possess truth. But God does, and we can find it in his Word, which He divinely wrote and protected for millenium so that we might know who He is, and what He requires of us. May we hold fast to God's Word and encourage each other...not with worldly wisdom, pop psychlogy or fickle feelings, but with real truth...God's Word.

Pay Very Careful Attention

Pay Very Careful Attention
In the waning days of the so-called Clash of Civilizations, it's worth remembering that The Hammer of God, Arthur C. Clarke's asteroid-apocalypse potboiler prophesied a new hybrid religion rising from the smoke and ashes of a war in Arabia:

THE SUDDEN RISE of Chrislam had been traumatic equally to Rome and Mecca. Christianity was already reeling from John Paul XXV's eloquent but belated plea for contraception and the irrefutable proof in the New Dead Sea Scrolls that the Jesus of the Gospels was a composite of at least three persons. Meanwhile the Muslim world had lost much of its economic power when the Cold Fusion breakthrough, after the fiasco of its premature announcement, had brought the Oil Age to a sudden end. The time had been ripe for a new religion embodying, as even its severest critics admitted, the best elements of two ancient ones.

This may all seem like wishful thinking on Art's part, but stranger things have- and will- happen.

Perhaps like this- an obscure, heretical Islamic sect has built Canada's largest mosque. And look at some of the dignitaries who attended this grand opening:

Prime Minister Stephen Harper told the crowd that the Ahmadiyya Muslim community knows the importance of tolerance and peace because it has been the target of persecution itself since its founding in the late 19th century.

"In this mosque, we see the love and benevolent faith of Islam," Harper said. "Ahmadis embrace Canada and Canada has embraced you."

Opposition Leader Stephane Dion said the success of the Ahmadi community in Canada, as captured by the sacrifices made to build the Calgary mosque, is at the essence of what makes the country great.

"Canada will show the world that Muslim communities can flourish in a secular state like ours," Dion added.

He praised the Ahmadiyya community for teaching its followers that loyalty to their new homeland of Canada is an integral part of their faith.

Calgary Mayor Dave Bronconnier reminded the crowd of the cold, rainy June day in 2005 when the mosque's cornerstone was laid.

"What we see today is a testament to your faith and commitment to the community. Your mosque is a proud new landmark on Calgary's skyline," the mayor said.

Roman Catholic Bishop Fred Henry said Calgary Muslims and Christians share a common spiritual journey in their worship of God.

"My Muslim brothers and sisters, we also have a common concern for promoting moral values and addressing ethical concerns in our city through our ongoing dialogue and our work together," said Henry.

Sir Arthur wasn't just a novelist, he moved among some very interesting circles in the scientific - and military/industrial - world. There's no shortage of prophetic undertones in his speculative fiction, never mind that pesky Monolith building near the old WTC. Which, of course, is also on the cover of Childhood's End, a book which in light of my recent research seems more and more sinister to me, as does the author himself.

Cant Do It In The Dark

Cant Do It In The Dark Anymore Traditional Photography
IMPLOSIONS OF BUILDINGS 65 AND 69, KODAK PARK, ROCHESTER, NEW YORK OCTOBER 6TH, 2007

It is sad, but it is progress. I really feel that photographers lose the sense of the craft and artistic experience by not participating in the traditional methods of photography. All is digital now-too bad...you can't smell the electronic process or stain your hands.

"PHOTOS OF FILM'S DEMISE: EMPTY LABS AND DEMOLITION DAYS ARE ANALOG'S FAREWELL"

BY

PETE BROOK

NOVEMBER 8TH, 2012

"WIRED"

When Robert Burley photographed Kodak Canada's final employee meeting in the parking lot on the last day of manufacturing in 2005, he assumed it was an isolated act of corporate downsizing - the winding down of one facility to safeguard Kodak's other operations. He now knows he was seeing the first domino fall. Two years later, Burley was in Rochester, NY, the spiritual home and headquarters of the once-giant analog film manufacturer.

"Kodak was blowing up one huge building after the other," says Burley a photographer and associate professor at Ryerson University's School of Image Arts in Toronto, Canada.

But the decimation of the film industry didn't stop with Kodak. Burley stumbled into a multi-year project for which he was to photograph the demise of multiple companies.

"A year later I was in Boston photographing Polaroid factories being torn down. To be present at these events made me realize I was witnessing not only a radical change in my medium but also a dizzying moment in history."

It has been a helter-skelter decline. Take Eastman Kodak, for example. It filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in January 2012 and - as part of its restructuring - sold off all of its photography divisions including "the broadest portfolio of traditional photographic paper and still camera film products." Since 2003, Eastman Kodak has closed 13 plants and 130 laboratories.

This week, Eastman Kodak won court approval to quit providing health and welfare benefits to U.S. employees, retirees and dependents. It will save the ailing company 10 million per month but leave 56,000 people high and dry.

"Individuals may see their life savings lost," said U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Allan Gropper, who delivered the ruling, before going on to say that - in spite of the financial pain to retirees - the company's move was legal and reasonable.

Burley has traveled the globe over a period of six years and photographed Ilford in London, AGFA-Gavaert in Belgium, Polaroid in the Netherlands and even Dwayne's Photo in Kansas, which became known as the last lab to develop Kodachrome. The resulting project, Disappearance of Darkness, is a bittersweet visual eulogy to film, shot on the medium whose demise it documents.

"The companies - some of them over a century old - laid off tens of thousands of workers, demolished factories the size of steel mills and found themselves in an economic free fall as their customer base shrunk from millions to thousands almost overnight," says Burley.

In 2000, U.S. consumers bought 19.7 million film cameras. By 2010, sales were below 250,000. Film sales peaked in 1999 with 800 million rolls purchased in the U.S. alone. But in 2011, Americans bought a mere 20 million rolls. In 2012, smartphone sales grew by 58 percent, while point-and-shoot sales dropped by 17 percent. The iPhone 4 is the most-used camera today.

"Today the shift to digital media is almost complete but it appears unlikely that any of these once powerful, profitable and innovative companies will adapt to the twenty-first century," says Burley. "Digital technology has changed the way we live our lives and to some degree the demise of the photographic industry provided a touchstone for just how rapidly these dramatic changes have happened."

A book of the project, The Disappearance of Darkness: Photography at the End of the Analog Era, has also been published this month. It's a smartly designed new hardbound book featuring 71 of Burley's large-format photographs.

"The book marks a point in time when photography - at least photography as practiced by the majority - ceased to be a physical medium," says Burley. "Photographs are no longer material objects created on film or paper - they have become dematerialized data stored in a cloud somewhere else. This alters one of the photograph's most important characteristics - it's relationship to time and place."

Part documentary, part devotional gesture, The Disappearance of Darkness includes essays of fantastic insight by Alison Nordstrom, curator at George Eastman House; Francois Cheval, chief curator of the Niepce Museum; and Andrea Kunard, associate curator of photographs at the National Gallery of Canada. There's much to contemplate and as such the book is a photography nerd's tome. Nordstrom writes:

"THE ADVENT OF CHEMICAL PHOTOGRAPHY WAS SUDDEN AND CELEBRATED. [...] PERHAPS NO TECHNOLOGICAL INVENTION SINCE MOVABLE TYPE HAS SO PROFOUNDLY AFFECTED HOW AND WHAT WE KNOW OR REMEMBER, AND HOW WE UNDERSTAND OURSELVES. UNLIKE THE START OF THIS PHENOMENOM, HOWEVER, THE END HAS COME, IN T.S. ELIOT'S WORDS, 'NOT WITH A BANG BUT A WHIMPER.'"

Even though Burley now sees the shuttering of former film manufacturers as "inevitable," and even though he witnessed closures and demolition first-hand, he doesn't yet know exactly what it all means.

"In another decade or two I think we'll understand the exact nature of this fundamental change in photography," says Burley. "How will this change our idea of the photograph as document, evidence or imprint of the real world? How will these changes affect the ways we capture, collect and store our personal and collective visual histories? What impact will these changes have on photography as an art form, a social or political tool, as a form of reportage? While my work doesn't attempt to answer these questions directly I hope it at least provides a record and interpretation of photography at this significant moment in the medium's history."

According to Burley, disruptions like those generated by the digital transition will continue in a perpetual advance of imaging and technology.

"A camera is no longer just a camera," says Burley. "It captures video, sound, GPS coordinates along with all kinds of other metadata. Just as the digital chip replaced film,
"Tri-X film has such an important place in photography's history. It was the film of choice for Cartier-Bresson, Ansel Adams, Robert Frank," says Burley. "It's likely that all color photographic films and papers will disappear in the next five years. The movie industry is the last mass market to make the transition from film to digital but industry insiders suggest this will be complete by 2015."

These are reflective times.

"In 10 years time, will I be able to show my students how Adams or Frank made a photograph?" wonders Burley.

DISAPPEARANCE OF DARKNESS: PHOTOGRAPHY AT THE END OF THE ANALOG ERA

BY

ROBERT BURLEY

ISBN 9781616890957

The photographic materials and systems I've used throughout my career are disappearing at an alarming rate. Over the last five years, companies such as Kodak, Agfa, and Polaroid have been pushed into an economic free-fall as the demand for their long-established products has evaporated. The end of the analogue era is evident in the recent closings and demolition of large-scale manufacturing facilities dedicated to the production of conventional photographic products.

During the past five years I have photographed numerous facilities in Canada, the United States, and Europe where blocks of silver were dissolved in nitric acid, mixed with the tissue of animals, and coated onto film and paper so the world could make pictures. The goal of my work is to explore the places where the alchemy of the photographic process was practised on a massive scale over the last century. The essential feature of these factories was, ironically, darkness: manufacturing took place in the absence of light-a characteristic that has defined the photographic process since it was first invented in 1839. The act of photographing is often associated with a desire to record something on the verge of change or disappearance. In this case, my subject is the medium itself.

News Occultist Plans To Annoy Pope

News Occultist Plans To Annoy Pope
Self-styled Witch King Magnus Lynius Shadee aims to open two occult centres in the Midlands before the Pope's visit to the UK this autumn, according to a report by the Sunday Mercury.

Shadee, who also considered standing for Parliament in the General Election, said he wants to open two occult centres - one in Coventry and one in Birmingham. Pope Benedict XVI is set to visit those two locations on September 19 during a planned four-day tour of the UK.

According to the newspaper's website: Shadee, aged 65, said: "I've always intended to open an occult centre in the cities and the Pope's visit simply brought forward the date. The Vatican will probably be none too happy with the idea though."

There has been quite a bit of opposition to the Pope's visit to the UK - mainly because it is estimated it will cost lb12 million. Although the Roman Catholic Church is raising more than lb7 million of that money, some of it will be paid by UK taxpayers. Plenty of people, myself included, feel that the taxpayers' money could go to better uses.

However, I'm not sure Shadee's plan to open a pair of occult centres is going to make any difference to the Pope's visit, or the amount it will cost taxpayers. Shadee's probably doing it because he loves a bit of attention in the press, in my opinion.

I also don't know if there is any shortage of shops selling occult

Money Magnet Manifestation Song

Money Magnet Manifestation Song
Like I have mentioned in many previous posts here on this blog, manifestation is a part of life. We all do it in some way or another every day. Whether it is positive or negative that is up to you.

MANIFESTATION, POSITIVE THOUGHT DRAWING POSITIVE REALITY..

One way of looking at manifestation is a positive aspect of what you want in life. If you keep looking at what you do not or the negative, what will end up happening. Negative will keep happening. So what is the solution. The solution is focus on what is positive that you want.

In many ways it is the like a magnet, a magnet for the energy of your positive thoughts. If that thought is money in a positive way, then the body will start attracting money in all aspects of your life. Take a look around at those that always seem to have money, there is a commonality with them. They expect money positively Now you need to ask yourself, do you expect money to magnetize into your life. Are you positively charged to handle money? And lastly are you creating the world in which you live by the thought forms you have every day? "MOST LIKELY YOU ARE.."

While it is a positive song for manifestation, it is not a total solution to bringing more money in your life.. See it as a positive tool.. You need to positively charge yourself for what you want and positively believe it will come to you as well.

Like anything positive, only positive can be attracted to it..
