Godzilla Meets Et The Calls And Medieval Cosmology

Godzilla Meets Et Part1 The Calls And Medieval Cosmology
BOOK: GODZILLA MEETS ET PART1 THE CALLS AND MEDIEVAL COSMOLOGY BY BENJAMIN ROWE

What most distinguishes the Enochian magickal system is that it is an artifact, a made thing. Other systems attempt to describe the universe (or some part of it) as it is, providing a framework which corresponds to observable natural structures and events, attempting to work with forces in their natural states. This is not true of the Enochian; like a product of human engineering it uses natural forces, but arranges and concentrates them in ways that could never be produced through normal evolutionary processes. Every aspect of its structure evinces the presence of deliberate creative intent behind its existence.

It is equally clear to those who have used the system extensively that it is not the product of human creativity, but of a being or beings possessing a much higher order of Perception and a much greater scope of action. The magickal beings who are bound into this system are all (except the cacodemons) of at least the human level of Development. Each has a nature as deep and complex as any man, and each has an individual will as strong. Further, the system appears to touch on every part of the magickal universe; no magician has yet found any limit to its connections. Both of these facts demonstrate that the origin of this magick must have been truly divine. No lesser source could possibly have bound together the elements it contains; no lesser source could have made those elements so instantly and perfectly responsive to the will of the user.

What is the purpose of this magickal machine? Experience shows that in some ways it is like a computer system, in other ways like a Communications network, a powerdistribution grid, a means of transportation, and a trans-dimensional gate. Add to these the many mundane tasks Dee believed could be accomplished through its use, and the Calls and Tablets seem to be the Swiss Army Knife of magick. Whatever the magician wants to use it for, it can accomplish; sometimes that accomplishment requires using it in ways not intended, but it works nonetheless.

Oklahoma Satanic Monument Takes Shape

Oklahoma Satanic Monument Takes Shape
The Satanic Temple is moving forward with the creation of its monument to Satan intended for the Oklahoma Capitol grounds. For those not familiar with the controversy, Oklahoma recently passed a law allowing religious displays on public property, and promptly erected a monument of the Ten Commandments. The Satanic Temple rightly pointed out that according to the Constitution, allowing religious displays of any sort means that the right to do so must be extended to all religious groups and in that spirit proposed their monument.

Now the group has gone ahead and hired a sculptor to create the molds that will be used to cast the statue, pictured above. It looks great, and I expect the eventual sculpture will be of similar quality. While it's true that Satan and Baphomet are completely different concepts and it might be nice to see an acknowledgement of that, this is more a political statement than any sort of magical operation. In popular culture something sort of like Levi's Baphomet is what people think of when they imagine Satan, so I expect that's why the temple went with it.

The statue is a direct response to the state's installation of a Ten Commandments monument outside the Capitol in 2012. State Representative Mike Ritze paid for the controversial statue with his own money, and therefore it was considered a donation and OK to place on government property. Following that line of reasoning, the Satanic Temple submitted a formal application for their monument.

As Trait Thompson of the Oklahoma Capitol Preservation Commission told CNN last December, "Individuals and groups are free to apply to place a monument or statue or artwork." The applications are then approved or rejected by the Commission. Unfortunately, the state has placed a halt on issuing permits for any other monuments until a lawsuit filed by the ACLU against Ritze's Commandments monument is settled.

Nonetheless, the Satanists are building this thing, and I was offered an early peek at the work in progress by Temple spokesperson Lucien Greaves. Greaves told me he has received numerous threats from people who want to attack the sculpture, but that he "wouldn't expect these outraged and nearly insensible reactionaries to actually know how to assault a bronze monument without severely hurting themselves in the process."

Still, he's not taking any chances. The Temple is building a mold of the sculpture so they can pop these things out like evil, terribly expensive action figures whenever they need a new one.

Jason Miller has also offered his take on the monument and I agree with him that it's a brilliant stunt on the part of the Temple. However, I don't necessarily agree with his speculation that the Temple is actually composed of knowledgeable esotericists just because I've seen no evidence to that effect. All the actions of the Temple that I've heard of have pretty much consisted of performance art - clever and provocative performance art to be sure, but nothing particularly magical or esoteric.

Still, in this case that's entirely not the point. The point is that in offering to put up the monument, the Temple set in motion a lawsuit that may very well establish once and for all that all religions need to be accomodated in the public square. That's a good and valuable principle to establish, simply because the Poor Oppressed Christians are not going to stop until they drive every belief but their own underground. The entire point of the establishment clause of the Constitution is to prevent such a thing from ever being accomplished.

It should be kept in mind that many Oklahoma Christians do in fact support the Temple's right to put up the monument, even though they don't agree with its sentiments. If anything, it seems like the politicians involved are more polarized than their constituents. Its important to remember that Poor Oppressed Christians are vocal, but there are actually a lot more reasonable Christians in America than Poor Oppressed ones. That's probably even true in a conservative state like Oklahoma.

Abc Wednesday L Is For Lilith

Abc Wednesday L Is For Lilith
There are lots of Goddesses and Gods starting with "L", but nothing better than Lilith, the independent deity!

This dark Sumerian Goddess is often misinterpreted, but I do like Her. I found an excellent site that summed up pretty well her lore:

"Lilith first appeared in Sumerian mythology about 5,000 years ago. As "handmaid" to the Goddess Inanna, Queen of Heaven, she would gather men in from the fields for the sacred rites. In another Sumerian story, Lilith lives in the sacred huluppu tree that Inanna has planted in her holy garden, accompanied by the snake who cannot be charmed and the wild Anzu-bird and her young. These creatures are part of Lilith's untamed nature and have knowledge to give Inanna, who is not yet ready to accept it. So Inanna calls in her brother, Gilgamesh, to cut down the tree. The serpent is killed, the Anzu-bird and its family fly off to the mountains, and Lilith departs for the wilderness.

This story may be the foundation of the most well-known Hebrew myth of Lilith as the first wife of Adam. According to one version of the story, Yahweh creates both Adam and Lilith from earth, but with one important difference: he uses impure sediments to create Lilith, whereas Adam has been fashioned from pure dust. Because of this, Adam expects Lilith to be submissive to him, but, claiming equality, she will not be put beneath him and flies away to lifelong exile near the Red Sea, where she mates with evil spirits and bears scores of demonic children. Meanwhile, Yahweh again tries to create a partner for Adam, this time taking one of his ribs and turning it into Eve - now she is a creation from Adam and not one in her own right, like Lilith. Myth has it that the jealousy and rage generated by Adam's rejection motivate Lilith to come in the night for her revenge, strangling babies and giving men wet dreams to sap their strength. Amulets were worn to ward her off."

How awesome is that?! Except for the 'strangling babies' part, I love how she dealt with the men who crossed her will (some men deserve this... Maybe not all men, but some do deserve it, lol!).

What Is An Eclectic Pagan

What Is An Eclectic Pagan

ECLECTIC PAGAN DEFINED

Over the years that I have been an ECLECTIC OF THE PAGAN PATHS, I have seen confusion and lack of understanding when I use the term "Eclectic Pagan". From my experience and knowing very many Eclectic Pagans, I can safely say that many are WITCHES.Not so much confusion, mind you, of the word Pagan, but the word "ECLECTIC".

It appears that to most, it is not a word that is in their vocabulary or hanging around from being taught what it's meaning is. Not to put myself above anyone else, as I had no idea or concept of what it meant either, and had rarely heard of it until about 12 years ago. At that point, I saw that I had finally found the correct word to define MY WAY OF LIFE (MY SPIRITUALITY).

I started out be a staunch Christian as a youth, but as time went by, my inquiring mind started reading, researching and studying various other Paths. I found many different things in many different paths that are out there. There were some things I liked, enjoyed, and applied to my life, while some of the teachings were just not clicking in my heart as feeling right for me, so I ignored these.

As the years went by I found it hard to describe my spirituality in terms. When asked, I would tell people that I was Wiccan. This is due to the fact that for years I have been the High Priest of a Wiccan coven. However, I was not comfortable with that, as I follow no set TRADITION IN WICCA, and again, pull from various WICCAN TRADITIONS as well as witchcraft and use what works for me and resonates with me.

Pagans that do this often do consider themselves to fall into the classification of witches. Then I started using Wiccan/Pagan, and this alone started creating confusion, plus much of what I write includes NATIVE AMERICAN thoughts and traditions. So, then it went to Wiccan/Pagan/Native American. As you can see, now it was getting hard to even type!

Within OUR COVEN, most members do as I do, pull from various paths, pick and choose what resonates with their heart and put into practice such things. While discussing this confusion as to what actual path we could refer as "ours" the term eclectic came up, and this term, when researched, fit what we practiced perfectly.

So then we started using the term Eclectic Pagan, as most of us pull from the Pagan Paths. Some members also pull from the Christian Path as well, and they will refer to themselves as simply "eclectic".So there you have my perspective of what I refer to myself as being, and Eclectic Pagan, one who pulls from various paths what resonates with his heart, and incorporates this into his daily life and spirituality.

Prophet Ajanakus Wife Finally Believes Husband

Prophet Ajanakus Wife Finally Believes Husband Is Dead Says He Is Set For Burial
After keeping her husband in the mortuary for 11months and telling everyone that he is not dead and will come back to life soon, the prophet's wife, Joy Ajanaku has finally agreed to bury her husband. Even though she says his body is only resting. She now believes her late husband lives in her, and in return they both live in God. But finally the prophet will be buried on the 17th of July, 2014 after all the drama. She also explained why she chose the said date. What she told City People;

HOW DO YOU INTEND TO MOVE THIS MINISTRY FORWARD?

It won't be by my power or might but by the grace of God of Elijah Ajanaku, I will surely move forward. My husband is in me and both of us are in God. He made me to be close to God. Though I was a Christian by birth but I was not born-again, I didn't know whom Jesus Christ is until I came across him. He showed and took me to God. He made me love serving God and do the Will of God. I believe he is not dead like I said. I will continue to say that. Continue below...

No matter who you are if you call him a late Prophet, I will correct you immediately. No matter your position on earth, I will correct you immediately. What you call man of God is not the body but spirit. God said those that will worship me must do that in the spirit. God has nothing to do with the body. If spirit can walk without the body and the body can not do anything, my husband is alive.

DON'T YOU THINK HIS SHOES ARE TOO BIG FOR YOU?

I believe that since I am in my husband and he is in me and both of us are in God, everything is possible. Even after his body slept, lots of miracles have taken place. I used to say he is not around bodily. If he is dead, no miracles would have been taking place and many calamities would have befell us. The legacy that he left behind, God in his mercy will let me sustain it. If he is dead, his ministry would have been shut down.

WHAT WILL YOU MISS ABOUT HIM?

A lot. In terms of spiritual aspect, I believe I still enjoy his grace. I will miss him a lot. Is it the way he calls me... Nobody can use his tone, I find solace in the fact that he is a man of God. I am not mourning. There is no mourning in the Kingdom of God. That is why we are not crying.

HOW SUPPORTIVE ARE YOUR HUSBAND'S FAMILY?

I don't have any grudges against them.

IT TOOK YOU 11 MONTHS TO BURY HIM, WHY IS IT SO?

Well, Ajanaku himself picked this day July 17. It is part of what I discovered in me. Its is part of his misery that made me say that he has what other men of God don't have. 7 is a perfect number. Everything about his life had something in common with 7. I know it is not a coincidence. It is divine ordination from God Almighty. Like his date of birth, his house address where we were was number 17. All the tenants in the house were 17. The land where we have the house was given to him. That was the only land that we have on the street and why is it 17. The church address is 17 too. That is how God has been handling his life.

Revenge Whats A Witch To Do

Revenge Whats A Witch To Do
Since ancient times, humans have sought revenge for wrongdoings against them, this can be on a personal level e.g. wanting to get even, or on a societal level e.g. the justice system. There are many motivations for revenge including defending one's honour or that of a loved one; teaching people a lesson; prevention of future grievances; setting the wrong things right; or wanting to see that person punished.

When a person is aggrieved they will often experience a range of negative emotions which may include embarrassment, low self-esteem, anger, sadness, shame, humiliation, and self doubt - these emotions do not only affect us psychologically but physically too - by holding on to these painful emotions we cause further harm to ourselves. Our rational thought processes become overwhelmed and we react based on our feelings and attitudes. The question becomes how can we deal with this in a constructive way?

Some witches deal with negative emotions through writing, take a piece of paper and write about how you feel, giving reasons why you believe you have been hurt or wronged. Once you've finished writing burn the paper along with herbs of Banishment such as Rue, Black Peppercorns, Sulphur or Rosemary. The important part of this exercise is to express your emotions. This form of expression can help ground us, and we can look at the situation again from a more detached and calm place.

The next step in the healing process comes by putting ourselves into the position of the person who caused us harm and trying to understand what their motivation.

We can contemplate our attitudes and ideas, and in the process learn more about ourselves. By understanding a situation we take back control, and we can once again make our choices based on rational thought processes rather than being ruled by emotion and negative attitudes. Once we identify our attitudes, thoughts and behaviours we can begin on bringing about needed change.

To help this contemplation, a walk outside can do you a power of good, find a quiet place and tell your woes to nature, speak out loud and let your words be absorbed by the spirit of those around you. Allow your worries to be carried away on the wind, and draw strength from the earth beneath you. Spending time outside like this can be a very calming and positive experience.

The final stage is forgiveness, some people may feel that this is impossible to achieve, however forgiving someone does not mean that their actions were acceptable. Forgiveness means that you are no longer going to allow the person or energies associated with them to have any control over you.

Express your feelings - Contemplate both sides of the situation - identify life lessons - release and move on.
