The Fairies Are Back

The Fairies Are Back
For several weeks (okay, months) now, I've been struggling with trying to figure out exactly how to put all of my "Pagan home-schooling ideas" (swarming around in my head and written on scattered notes through the house) into wise and meaningful "Lessons" - not only for my own grand-children but for my readers and their families, too. There are dozens of things I want to share, through my (sadly-neglected) Pagan Homeschooling Blog, THE MOONLIT GROVE, to help others who are finding a drastic shortage of useful Pagan-based material for teaching their children.

"And then..."

I received an email from John Gallagher (of Learning Herbs) and realized I've been approaching this all wrong - trying to make this "much more difficult" than it really is! While I've been tackling this project as if I'll have to write "entire text Here is a FREE ACTIVITY PACK for you and your kids to start with right away (as shown in the image below). To view the "Fairy Film Festival" and learn more about HERB FAIRIES, just click here.

"Known in the Pagan Community as the "Green Witch", POLLY TASKEY is descended from Mary Bradbury (Perkins). She shares her interests through the PAGAN BY DESIGN BLOG and MESSAGE BOARDS. If reprinted, this byline and links shown here must be included."

Fire Lyte Charge Of The Goddess

Fire Lyte Charge Of The Goddess
"During my lunch break, I popped open Drawing Down the Moon" by Margot Adler. I'm really enjoying the book. There's mention of the Charge of the Goddess, and something came over me when I was reading it today. I had the urge, the inclination, to pick up a pen. What came out was, perhaps, a rough draft for my own personal Charge of the Goddess. Parts of it are exceedingly fluffy, but it was exactly what came out.

I will admit, parts of this I do feel were inspirational. By that I mean...and I know this sounds false coming from me of all people...but I feel some of these stanzas were directly from the Goddess. Or, at least, whatever divine entity instructed my gut and my hand to pick up pen and put it to paper this afternoon around 3:14.

It is rudimentary at best, and I apologize in advance for the childish phrasing. It is quite obvious to me that I could not have been the author of the complete piece, because - as you know by now - it is not written in my signature style.

Be that as it may, please use this (or any part of it) for your own use. Just let me know you're doing it, please. Also, if you have made your versions of the Charge of the Goddess, pass those along as well. Enjoy!

Love and Lyte,

Fire Lyte

FIRE LYTE'S CHARGE OF THE GODDESS

"Hear me for I am the Goddess, the She Divinity, the Divine Mother and Sister and Friend and Lover and Poet and Inspiration and Confidante."

"Hear me, my beloved, for when you feel lost know that I have my finger on the map of the universe pointing exactly where you are standing."

"Hear me that destroys and is riled to anger like the She-Bear, the WILD MOTHER WHO ROARS WITH MIGHT AND PAIN AND PROTECTION and instinct."

"Hear me in the quiet when the veil is open and you may look upon me and know that I am the light of the moon and the burn of the heart's passion."

"Know me as the guardian of your mother's womb. Know me as your mother, but honor your physical mother as you honor me, for she was chosen for you. Know also that She who was your Mother-Chosen may not be linked to you by blood."

"Hear the words of the Goddess and know that your worship is never wrong or not on time or inappropriate if it is always done out of Love."

"Know that the greatest lesson of all is to Love and know Love and believe in it."

"Know that magic is merely a force, and it may be used by the magician for any means. It is not evil, though it may be used for an evil purpose."

"Know that just as I may be riled to anger as the Wild Goddess, so too are you forgiven for your anger. Also, know that protection of yourself and our loved ones is holy."

"Worship out of Love and Harmony with the Infinite. In that manner be Blessed."

"Blessed are those that seek to know the deeper knowledge, but blessed are all those that seek."

"Blessed are the Dead for they live on and advise and Love Eternal."

"Know that nothing separates you from me and nothing ever will."

"Know that I am known by an infinite number of names and answer to them all."

"Know that all worship of the Divine worships me and even some names I am known by are male."

"Know that I am She but also He, for nothing is truly separate and nothing is truly out of reach of the Divine for we all are One."

"Praise be to my sacred, beloved Children. I love you in kind even when you do not love or know or respond or acknowledge or name me, for that is the Power of Love-Infinite."

"Hear my words and Know."

"Blessed Be."

My Wicca

My Wicca 1
MY WICCA (Part1 of 5)
By Durwydd MacTara

My RELIGION is Wicca, my LIFE-STYLE is Witchcraft! I believe in
a supreme being that is both Immanent and Transcendent, that is
expressing itself within AND without. However, I also believe that
trying to define/describe such an infinite Divine Being in finite terms to be a waste of time and energy. I CAN describe my perceptions of the Ultimate in terms of the energies that I work with and find significant in my daily living. My style and methods of relating to what I can
perceive of these Divine Energies are what I describe as my RELIGION.
How I apply these insights gained via my religious practices, I term my CRAFT.

The name for my religion is derived from the Saxon root "wicce"
(pronounced "witchy") and is loosely translated as "Wise". The word
"Wicca" was first used in modern times in England by Gerald B. Gardner to describe/define an attempt at restoring "the old wisdom" of pre- Christian beliefs and practice into a modern context in the 1940's.
Ergo, I could call my religion "wisdom" and my style of application of this wisdom "wise-craft" or more simply, "The Craft of the Wise".

For the sake of convenience and easy understanding, I divide the
expressions of the Divine Energies into two groups; that of the active positive (symbolically "male") energies represented to me by the stag horned Lord of the Forest, and those of a more passive, nurturing, or
"negative" polarity represented to me by the Threefold Goddess.
Approaching my perceptions of the universe and its energies in this way allows me to break them down into "bite sized chunks", applicable to my daily life in a mundane world, and what good is ANY belief system if it is not of immediate and practical use here and now?

So what are some of the beliefs and practices of this religion
called Wicca, and how do I apply them to my daily life? What does it all mean? The following explanation is based on a press statement
released by the American Council of Witches released in the early
1970's, with some editing on my part to reflect my own beliefs and
practices.

BASIC PRINCIPLES OF THE CRAFT

1. The first principle is that of love, and it is expressed in the
ethic,
"AN IT HARM NONE, DO AS THOU WILL"

a) love is not emotional in it's essence, but is an
attribute of the individual as expressed in relation
to other beings;
b) harming others can be by thought, word, or deed.
Thought is included here, because for the Witch,
"thoughts are things" and every action, even thoughts,
can become magical actions, whether consciously intended
or not;
c> it is to be understood the "none" includes oneself,
though it is permissable to harm self in helping others,
should one so choose;
d) the harm which is to be regarded as unethical is
gratuitous harm; war, in general, is gratuitous harm,
although it is ethical to defend oneself and one's
liberty when threatened by real and present danger,
such as personal defense or defense of another WHEN REQUESTED.

Ana Bkoach And Re Integration

Ana Bkoach And Re Integration
The golden age of King Solomon ended with division of the nation into two kingdoms. Yeravam reigned in the north (10 tribes of Israel), while Rechavam reigned in the south (Judah and Benjamin). Let's analyze the names of these two kings who ruled during the fracture of national unity.

Yeravam traditionally means "the nation will contend". This meaning assumes that the name is from the root meaning to "strive against", combined with the word "nation",.

However, can alternatively be separated into two meaningful portions - the gate (implying "awesome attentive awareness", from which the root is derived) and the word, where literally means "in the nation". Importantly, in this permutation, the gate does not fall into the letter beit, to form the idea of "striving against", but remains above it, to form the idea of "awesome attentive awareness". In other words, the difference between "awesome attentive awareness in the nation" and "the nation will contend" rests around the consciousness surrounding the letter beit. Does the kavanah of consciousness rest above the letter (chochmah) in keter or below it in binah? Are we acting from reason alone or from reason firmly connected to our source?

Rechavam traditionally means "expanse of the people". Just as Yeravam can be separated into two meaningful portions, likewise can Rechavam be separated into the gate (the same gate from which the root racham, protective mercy is derived) and the word, meaning "in the nation".

Again, as with Yeravam, the permutation revolves around the letter beit. Two kings, two letters, each standing against the other. Perhaps the in Rechavam ideally should be the letter mem-sofit, to form the words, merciful nation.

to. The 42-letter Divine Name (Ana B'Koach) has somehow become messed up here between the names of these two kings who ruled during the fracture. The second beit, pertaining to Rechavam, which "should be a mem-sofit", with transformation represents "closing the north side of the letter beit" . Historically, Rechavam failed to do this, became heavey-handed and merciless instead, and catalyzed rather quickly the fracture of the nation.

Additionally, the names of these two kings differ by 4 letters - with a gematria of 418, the same gematria as the word "and the letter".

reduces 4 + 1 + 8 = 13, echad (one, alef)

If the transformation of Rechavam's into a became actualized, then the re-unifying letter difference between the two would be:

13, 42 (the 4 letters, and the 2 letters, respectively)
