New Dawn Magazine: In 2002 the British newspaper The Sunday Telegraph reported that the Vatican had banned the veneration of those angels who do not appear in the authorised texts of the Bible. This was an attempt to counter the influence of unnamed New Age groups who were allegedly recruiting new members within the Roman Catholic Church. In future, prayers were only to be directed to the three archangels Michael, Gabriel and Raphael who are mentioned in the Bible. According to the apocryphal and banned Book of Enoch these were the angelic beings responsible for binding the wicked fallen angels or Watchers who had transgressed God's law. The news report said that the early Church had excluded the book, attributed to the Old Testament prophet and patriarch Enoch, from the authorised version of the Bible because it described these fallen angels and their activities.

In Jewish lore, Sammael is said to be the Angel of Death, the chief ruler of the Fifth Heaven and one of the seven regents of the world served by two million angels; he resides in the Seventh Heaven. Yalkut I, 110 of the Talmud speaks of Samael as Esau's guardian angel. In Sotah 10b, Samael is Esau's guardian angel, and in the Sayings of Rabbi Eliezer, he is charged with being the one who tempted Eve, then seduced and impregnated her with Cain. Though some sources identify Gadreel as the angel that seduced Eve, other Hebrew scholars say that it was Samael who tempted Eve in the guise of the Serpent. Samael is also sometimes identified as being the angelic antagonist who wrestled with Jacob, and also the angel who held back the arm of Abraham as he was about to sacrifice his son.
In The Holy Kabbalah (Arthur Edward Waite, 255), Samael is described as the "severity of God", and is listed as fifth of the archangels of the world of Briah. Samael is said to have taken Lilith as his bride after she left Adam. According to Zoharistic cabala, Samael was also mated with Eisheth Zenunim, Na'amah, and Agrat Bat Mahlat - all angels of prostitution.

They are all imagined to have a special assignment to act as a global Zeitgeist ('time spirit'), each for periods of about 380 years. Since 1879, anthroposophists posit, Michael has been the leading time spirit. Four important archangels are also supposed to display periodic spiritual activity over the seasons: Raphael during the spring, Uriel during the summer, Michael during the autumn, and Gabriel during the winter. In anthroposophy, archangels may be good or evil; in particular, some of their rank are collaborators of Ahriman, whose purpose (anthroposophists believe) is to alienate humanity from the spiritual world and promote materialism and heartless technical control.

Angels are messengers sent by God as protectors, encouragers of hope to deliver Holy Spirit-inspired new ideas from Heaven and answers to prayers. Angels and Angels in dreams also bring us instructions and reassurances for events and emotional experiences we suffer in the natural. Among the many and numerous angelic responsibilities The Lord has given to His angels is the power and authority to intercede and protect our prayers by engaging in spiritual warfare fighting for us in the demonic spirit realm that attacks us and our prayers in the natural and in the spirit realm.
Although rare, Angels are often represented symbolically in dreams as people we recognize or know as friends, relatives and celebrity personalities who have gone on to Heaven.
Even though Angels are spirit beings, God has given them the same basic emotional and characteristics traits as man. Unlike man, Angels are eternal and never suffer death. Yet, they can appear as man, both male and female. They can also appear and disappear at will, travel at the speed of thought, see, feel, love, hate, touch, hear, eat, drink, kill and execute God's commands. In addition to these attributes, Angels have free will and can act on their own decisions in the goodness of God. Angels possess strength and knowledge we cannot even imagine. But that does not come as a surprise since they have had over fifteen billion years head start on us. In addition to their strength and knowledge, they have the use of 100% of their brain power; whereas, we humans use a maximum of 7 to 10 percent of our brain capabilities.
Although God created angels with the ability to reproduce with humans, God forbade Angels to have sex with the daughters of man and counts it a sin for Angels to marry or to have sex with woman and to do so, was unforgiveable in God's eyes. Yet even so, many of the angels rebelled against God and took wives of the daughters of man and had offspring by them that we know in the Bible as Nephilim (half-fallen angel and half-man). This continued until shortly before the flood, at which time there was a war in Heaven and the fallen angels who took the daughters of man as wives were cast out, along with all of the other angels who had rebelled with Satan against God. After they were cast out, God had the angels who took wives of man chained and cast into the bottomless pit located in the center of the earth to await the Great White Throne Judgment and their final judgment.
THE SEVEN KINDS/TYPES OF ANGELS
As far as we know, the Bible describes only seven types of Angels, and of the Angels God created, there is no mention of female angels, which is not to say that God did not create female Angels; He simply makes no mention of them in the Bible. However, in the Book Of Enoch, many Angels are mentioned by name. Revealing the names of the Angels is being reserved for an upcoming article, as well as several more articles on the Book Of Enoch.
1. Cherub or Cherubim Angels: Lucifer was a Cherub Angel before wickedness was found in him and Satan Lucifer was cast out of Heaven. Cherubim Angels have their wings outstretched toward each other on the cover over the Mercy Seat of the Ark of the Covenant in the Holy of Holies of the Tabernacle of God. Cherubim Angels are highly empowered Angels who protect and surround the holy presence and dwelling place of the Lord God in the Tabernacle of God.
2. Seraphs or Seraphim Angels: Seraphim Angels are absolutely awesome-looking Angels. The responsibilities of the Seraphim Angels seem to be surrounded with declaring the Holiness of God and the protection of God from any presence of impure sin natures.
3. LIVING CREATURES ALSO CALLED ZOA ANGELS: Zoa Angels are mystical looking six-winged Angels covered with eyes, who have the head of a man, lion, eagle, ox. The head of a man represents God made flesh; the head of the lion represents the Lion of Judah and the tribes of Judah; the head of the eagle represents the prophets and three tribes of Israel, the head of the ox represents three tribes of Israel whose banner of the Lord God is that of an ox. Continuously in Heaven the Zoa Angels sing praises to the Lord God "Holy, Holy, Holy, Worthy is the Lamb of God." The Zoa Angels are all around the Throne of God and God's resplendent glorious Light.
4. Archangels / Warrior Angels: In addition to Satan, Michael was also an Archangel. Michael is perhaps the most known Archangel; Among his other responsibilities God has given him is the responsibility of protecting and defending Israel, the Land of God. When Michael the Archangel is not protecting Israel, he is doing spiritual physical battle in the heavens.
5. THE ANGEL OF GOD CALLED THE ANGEL OF GOD: An Angel of God is a messenger Angel sent by God to deliver an important message of prophetic proportion.
6. The Angel of The Lord also called The Angel of God: Is God Jesus taking the gentle, mystical form of an Angel bringing a message of great importance.
7. Regular Angels / Guardian Angels: Are also Ministering spirits to those who know and love God.
WHO HAS A GUARDIAN ANGEL AND CAN WE HAVE MORE THAN ONE
Although there are billions of angels, more than enough to go around and for everyone to have at least one, not everyone has a guardian angel.

Hebrews 1:14 regarding the duties of Angels, and who the Guardian Angels are assigned to when He says, "Are not all Angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation."
This verse takes away any and all doubt as to who has a Guardian Angel, and makes it abundantly clear that Guardian Angels are only sent by God to those who have been redeemed: These are those persons, who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, or who will accept Christ before their death. God knows the end from the beginning and who will come to Christ and be redeemed and made righteous in Jesus in His blood, with eternal life with God in Heaven.
