We Need To Talk About Spirituality In Healthcare

We Need To Talk About Spirituality In Healthcare

DES O'NEILL

SECOND OPINION: Spirituality is an important aspect of healthcare

THE PRACTICE of geriatric medicine covers a surprising amount of ground. This includes general medicine, gerontology (the sciences of ageing), rehabilitation, palliative care and expertise in specific diseases of ageing, such as dementia and stroke, but our practice stretches us in other ways as well.

Many of our patients are compromised in expressing their wishes by dementia, so an interest in ethics goes with the territory. Indeed, much of the published Irish research in medical ethics stems from departments of geriatric medicine.

Yet I broached new territory last week when delivering on a request to talk about spirituality and health at the Eucharistic Congress. For me personally, I was reminded of the line in TS Eliot's Four Quartets that "each venture is a new beginning, a raid on the inarticulate".

I quickly realised that I was raiding not only my own inarticulacy but also an even deeper inarticulacy in the Irish medical profession.

Spirituality is internationally recognised as an important aspect of healthcare: the majority of US medical schools include a module on spirituality in the medical curriculum, and the General Medical Council in the UK has helpful guidance on personal beliefs and spirituality for patients and doctors alike.

Yet outside of palliative care, there is virtually nothing in the Irish medical literature, or that of the Irish Medical Council. Possibly as a counter-reaction to the unhealthy dominance of the Catholic Church on Irish intellectual life in Ireland until recent times, the atrocious mishandling of the child abuse scandals by senior church men and the frequently rancorous tenor of media discourse (some commentators remind me of the food critic in a TC Boyle story who has lost all her tastebuds and consequently gives every restaurant a drubbing), this is an area of medical practice defined by silence and absence of discussion.

A victim of this is the understanding that spirituality is a broad concept applicable to those of all faiths and none, and that regardless of our own personal beliefs we need to develop ways to support expression of this aspect of our shared humanity in healthcare settings.

There are many definitions of spirituality, nearly all of which focus on meaning, hope, transcendence and a relationship with a higher being or force, such as nature or God.

Common among many accounts is the concept of communion - with self, others, nature, and for some, with a God.

In the preparation of my talk I learnt much from the international medical literature, and particularly innovative approaches such as the fascinating Dignity Therapy. But I equally learnt much from finding out what was going on in my own hospital.

Although aware of a pastoral presence, the formal linkages are few, and an interdenominational team is providing a remarkable service which deserves wider recognition.

No longer does one "call for the chaplain" in Tallaght hospital when patients are in extremis: the pastoral care team, lay and religious, pro-actively visit the wards and make contact with patients in the context of a listening and sympathetic ear, and on the basis of consent.

This welcome sense of access to all is consistent with a holistic vision of care, one which has a broader reach than predominantly for those who are near death.

From this first level of pastoral care, patients can then access the sacramental aspects as they wish.

For example, for Catholics, a thrice-weekly round by 70 volunteer ministers of the Eucharist is available to those who desire it, with a take-up of about two-thirds of the patients over the course of the year.

This two-stage approach - spiritual support for all and access to sacramental support for those who wish for it - provides a matrix within which healthcare workers can negotiate, particularly for those working in settings without the good fortune of having formal pastoral care, such as general practice.

Delivering these thoughts at the Congress itself was both stimulating and interesting, with a lively and critical audience. The wider programme was fascinating, and I felt comfortable in a setting which included Mark Hederman's entertaining and wise talk on James Joyce and Catholicism.

It is likely that good medical and nursing care in Ireland often incorporates unspoken pastoral elements, but we need to do better as Irish doctors in our research and education so as to develop a therapeutic articulacy and a better understanding of the appropriate framing of spiritual needs in healthcare.

Tom Horn Territory

Tom Horn Territory
This saga intensifies the more I research it! On the heels of THE COLUMN I JUST PUBLISHED ABOUT THE POSSIBILITY THAT THE "BLACK AWAKENING" AND/OR THE RETURN OF THE NEPHILIM GIANTS IS IMMINENT I find this.

As it turns out, Tom Horn already established the theory that we would see (are seeing) the reemergence of the Dionysian Cult as we quickly approach the beginning of the Tribulation and Great Tribulation in his best-selling book "NEPHILIM STARGATES: THE YEAR 2012 AND THE RETURN OF THE WATCHERS".

WorldNetDaily had an article on this from back in October 2008 that I want to include here in full because it's certainly applicable to today's study and relevant more than ever:

Meet The God Of Debauchery

Sex-saturated Bacchanalia boiling up from underworld

October 07, 2008

"Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed (Luke 17:28-30)."

"Whether it is the recent sexpidemic of teachers seducing students, the growing pansexual hedonism of Burning Man-like festivals worldwide, the flood of overtly sexual content on television and the big screen, the casual intimate 'hook-ups' of modern college kids, or the "DEVIANT SEX ACTS CELEBRATED BY PEOPLE PARADING FULLY NUDE ON PUBLIC STREETS IN BROAD DAYLIGHT," something has been lost between the innocent days of the Great Generation's public standards and the rapid erosion of contemporary decency.

Now, a researcher and author whose new book has skyrocketed up best-seller's lists warns that the growing trend of hedonism may be supernaturally motivated.

In "Nephilim Stargates: The Year 2012 and the Return of the Watchers," Thomas Horn ties moral abandonment to an ancient spirit, known in antiquity as the Greek god Dionysus (Roman Bacchus) who represented the personification of unrestrained sexuality.

"Followers of Dionysus imagined him as the presence that is otherwise defined within man as the craving that longs to 'let itself go' and to 'give itself over' to outlaw desires," says Horn. "What puritans might resist as the lustful wants of the carnal man or the temptations of the Devil, the followers of Dionysus embraced as the incarnate power that would, in the afterlife, liberate man's soul from the constraints of the present world and from customs which sought to define respectability through obedience to moral law."

According to Horn, worshippers of Dionysus attempted to bring themselves into union with the god through ritual casting off of the bonds of sexual denial and primal constraint by seeking to attain a "higher state of ecstasy."

The uninhibited rituals of ecstasy (Greek for "outside the body") employed lascivious behavior, ecstatic communal dancing to the drums and flute, flicking of the head backward (as found in most trance inducing cults), and overt consumption of wine to bring the followers of Dionysus into a supernatural condition which enabled them to escape the temporary limitations of the body and mind and to achieve an orgiastic state of "enthousiasmos", or "outside the body and inside the god."

In this sense, Dionysus represented a dichotomy in the Greek religion, as the primary maxim of the Greek culture was one of moderation; "nothing too extreme." Yet Dionysus embodied the absolute extreme in that he sought to inflame the forbidden passions of human desire.

"As students of psychology will understand," Horn continues, "the willful abandonment of social restraints, which defined Dionysus-worship, actually gave the god of wine and revelry a stronger allure, not weaker, among many ancients who otherwise tried in so many ways to suppress and control the secret lusts of the human heart. Dionysus was a craving that demanded one partake of 'the forbidden fruit' and who threatened madness upon those who denied him free expression. Conversely, persons giving themselves over to the will of Dionysus were promised the lie of unlimited psychological and physical delights."

In Nephilim Stargates, Horn records how the Dionystic idea of mental disease resulting from suppression of secret inner desires, especially aberrant sexual desires, was later reflected in the teachings of Sigmund Freud. Freudianism is therefore the grandchild of the cult of Dionysus, Horn concludes.

Such mythical systems of mental punishment and physical rewards based on resistance and/or submission to Dionysus were symbolically and literally illustrated in the cult rituals of the Bacchae, as the Bacchae women (married and unmarried Greek women had the legal right to participate in the mysteries of Dionysus) migrated in frenzied hillside groups, dressed transvestite in fawn skins and accompanied by screaming, music, dancing, and omnisexual behavior.

When for instance a baby animal was too young and lacking in instinct to sense the danger and run away from the revelers, it was picked up and suckled by bare-breasted women who participated in the hillside rituals. Yet when older animals sought to escape the marauding Bacchae, they were considered "resistant" to the will of Dionysus and were torn apart and eaten alive as a part of the fevered ritual.

Horn points to parallels of this condition in today's United States. "What at one time would have been unthinkable - deviant sex acts conducted openly in major U.S. cities - is become acceptable, while 'resisters' of the new Dionysian cult are increasingly labeled enemies of free expression and threatened with hate-crime legislation."

Before the ancient Greek/Roman festival was outlawed in 186 BC by a decree of the Senate - the so-called "Senatus consultum de Bacchanalibus"-as having become too debauched, human participants were increasingly subject to public orgiastic extremes, as the rule of the Bacchanalia became "anything goes," including public sex acts, S">"But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established."

Friends, as the veil thins between the physical and spiritual realms more and more each day it is imperative that you cling to the Lord and Savior like never before.

Changing A Magical Name

Changing A Magical Name
Magical names are part of many Magical Practitioners paths. We choose these names for several reasons. Each person had their own personal reason. Many are required to take one for a Course, or when starting in a Tradition, others do it for anonymity, or to resonate or "vibrate" with a specific spirit, goddess, path, plant or animal.

This is my actual Tattoo that I took a photo of then photo shopped onto this background for by logo.

I have been using Triskele Rose for quite some time now. It was my "first" official Magical Name, I used it for quite a while, and then it became my Public Craft name when I found a magical name that suited my practice at that time better. I chose Triskele Rose because it is based off my tattoo. Triskele Rose is the basic name to describe this symbol. The Triskele in the back represents my various life paths, Artist, Priestess, Mother. The "Rose" is the celtic 5 pointed star that represents both the Dog Rose (5 petaled Wild Rose), as well as the Pentagram and the Elements.

So what happens when you don't resonate with your magical name anymore? Or that the vibrations of the name just don't bring you the right energy? Well you change it. This is a common practice that I have really not liked. I have always felt that it takes away from the purpose of having the magical name, and is very fickle. Well this is not the case! I have been thinking this for sometime, and it has hindered my ability to allow myself to change it. A few weeks ago I went to a full moon labyrinth walk. I didn't have any profound moments, it was enjoyable, and refreshing, but that was it. I awoke the next morning KNOWING in my gut that it had to change. I am going through a time of purging things that no longer honor me. The tattoo will ALWAYS be important, it will always be MY sigil, but it was time to let the name go.

Years ago, actually a decade ago I began to dance, received my first set of Tarot, and was active in the SCA. These few things were the stepping stones for where I am today. Though I didn't last long in the SCA I needed to choose a name or persona. When I did this, I did basic research on names, and came across a Celtic name list somewhere on the vintage internet. My middle name is Ann, and I remember seeing something along the lines of White/Silver Grace being the meaning of the name for Annwyn. It fit so I chose it! I then actually started using this name as my stage name for Belly Dance. Over the next few years it JUST became my name. When I began to seriously study the Occult I began to do more research, it took quite a while to put all the pieces of the puzzle together. It was about this time that a good friend of mine was insisting I had mermaid energy. I wanted so much for it to be so! It wasn't, but I felt she was on to something. This is when I hunkered down and began to really research. I had always been interested in the Fae, and in water (being a double water sign) I enjoyed fresh water over salt, and never had connections with "the tail" I was not surprised when I found that there were a race Welsh Water Fae called the Gwragged Annwn. The parallels between them and myself were too close for me to ignore. It was then I found that Annwyn was actually a variety of spelling for Annwn. Annwn is the Welsh underworld, it is connected to the Welsh Mythology, Gwyn Ap Nudd, and Avalon. It was about this time that I started with the Avalon Mystery School as well.

So here I am knowing that I need to change my name, Triskele Rose is just not the right one. I felt deep inside that I needed to go back to Annwyn. Perhaps it has been my work with the Ancestors and their realm that has spurred it, or my interest in the Welsh lore and my strong pull to Avalon. I am not sure. I do know that names have power, and when you take on a name associated with "something" you WILL bring those energies into your life. I know that Annwyn needed to be revived, and with the strong presence in my life, Avalon was an important part as well. So here with the Dawn of 2013 I find myself, shaking of the old skin and taking on Annwyn Avalon.

So I find that I have changed my views. I still don't agree on having very long names, "Apollo Ambrosius Cernunnos Amethyst Oaken Leaf. " How confusing to others, and your own energy is this? Not to mention people might not take you serious especially when crossing so many things that don't resonate. Keep your magical names simple, keep them meaningful, and don't be afraid to change them as you evolve. Also try the names out before you announce them to the world. Try the magical name in ritual, does it resonate? How was the feeling of the ritual? Did the ritual go well? How did you feel after? These things will determine how your path will go with this name. There are exceptions to the rule, but this is a good place to start. If you follow a very earthy path don't give yourself a name like Luna Sylph Feather. You will be following an airy path very shortly I guarantee! If you don't know where to start you can start with numerology, or meditate, build an ancestor altar and ask them what it is THEY wish you to take, if any at all! Keep it simple, keep it real, keep it meaningful...

Clairvoyants Just Cant Read Me

Clairvoyants Just Cant Read Me
Years back, in my experimental days, I went to see quite a few clairvoyants to see what they could tell me. Could they inform me or give me signs of the future? Would they come up with something that they couldn't possibly have known about me beforehand?

Unfortunately, in my case, the answer to both questions was 'no' - and being a 'believer' I was greatly disappointed.

I reached a conclusion that perhaps I'm a difficult person to read, perhaps I'm too guarded. I say this because one clairvoyant looked at my hand with a puzzled look, then moved on to cards and finally said words to the effect of, "Sorry, but I can't tell you anything as I'm not picking up a thing."

This worried me slightly as I thought there might be something she was hiding from me, but she assured me there wasn't any bad news - or good news - because she just couldn't see anything at all. This didn't exactly fill me with confidence. She did say, however, that I was psychic. She smiled, held her hand over mine and asked if I could feel her energy. It could perhaps have been a lovely moment but I thought I had better leave!

I then went to see Acora who describes himself as a "'world renowned Romany clairvoyant'" and was recommended to me. He saw stuff, but it had no relevance to me and nothing he said has ever come true.

He told me, for instance, that I would soon move into property developing and would own houses which I would rent out. Sounded good but then, by 'coincidence', I got talking to another man who had seen Acora as well and guess what he was told? Yes, that he'd move into property etc.

The thing about both of us was that, when we saw Acora for a reading, we were both dressed in business suits and ties and carrying brief cases - enough said.

I had my tea leaves read. A sweet old woman who told me I must be careful when I go potholing. Potholing! There's nothing I'm less likely to do. I hate the thought of squeezing into confined spaces.

And so it went on.

There was a Tarot lady, again a personable woman, but all she could end up telling me was that all that really matters is happiness. Might have been relevant I suppose but there were no predictions.

I don't know how many clairvoyants I saw but none of them could say what I'd done in the past, what my future holds or anything worthwhile.

Maybe it's just me. My wife went to see someone, when we first met, and she was told things about me (is nothing sacred!) that were true and also that she could see us, as a couple, in a white car with a small boy in the back seat. We had a son twelve months later, and a new white car.

Sceptics will say that my wife gave away clues whereas I didn't. Could be, but I'm still convinced that we can see possible avenues for our lives in advance - after all there is no such thing as time. We still have a certain control as to whether we take the full journey down these avenues or not.

I've been able to see things myself into the future in dreams, in meditations and with feelings just out of the blue.

I guess the clairvoyants I saw just couldn't read me.

Brought Life And Immortality To Light

2Tim 1 9 11 Brought Life And Immortality To Light
(2Tim 1, 9-11) Brought life and immortality to light

He saved us and called us to a holy life, not according to our works but according to his own design and the grace bestowed on us in Christ Jesus before time began, [10] but now made manifest through the appearance of our savior Christ Jesus, who destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel, [11] for which I was appointed preacher and apostle and teacher.

(CCC 1052) "We believe that the souls of all who die in Christ's grace... are the People of God beyond death. On the day of resurrection, death will be definitively conquered, when these souls will be reunited with their bodies" (Paul VI, CPG SS 28). (CCC 1053) "We believe that the multitude of those gathered around Jesus and Mary in Paradise forms the Church of heaven, where in eternal blessedness they see God as he is and where they are also, to various degrees, associated with the holy angels in the divine governance exercised by Christ in glory, by interceding for us and helping our weakness by their fraternal concern" (Paul VI, CPG SS 29). (CCC 1054) Those who die in God's grace and friendship imperfectly purified, although they are assured of their eternal salvation, undergo a purification after death, so as to achieve the holiness necessary to enter the joy of God. (CCC 1055) By virtue of the "communion of saints," the Church commends the dead to God's mercy and offers her prayers, especially the holy sacrifice of the Eucharist, on their behalf. (CCC 1056) Following the example of Christ, the Church warns the faithful of the "sad and lamentable reality of eternal death" (GCD 69), also called "hell." (CCC 1057) Hell's principal punishment consists of eternal separation from God in whom alone man can have the life and happiness for which he was created and for which he longs. (CCC 1058) The Church prays that no one should be lost: "Lord, let me never be parted from you." If it is true that no one can save himself, it is also true that God "desires all men to be saved" (1 Tim 2:4), and that for him "all things are possible" (Mt 19:26).

Psychic Medium Signs Of An Active Third Eye

5 Psychic Medium Signs Of An Active Third Eye

By Tana Hoy

Everybody on earth comes into the world with some form of psychic ability already, but not many actually can work with it, or even unlock it. A psychic medium is definitely among the very best examples of this, since these folks actually have the power to detect information which they usually wouldn't be aware of. They can create a connection with your psychic energy and put together readings which could have a lot to do with your romantic endeavors, your work and health, among different matters.

In addition to that, just about the most important abilities that a psychic medium owns is clairvoyance. There's always a little chance that one of all the few individuals in a group may possibly can access their own psychic medium skills in spite of them being unable to express how or why it's so. One of the very popular thoughts often discussed on the globe of psychic readings is the third eye. Many psychics have this ability, and this actually is connected to clairvoyance, seeing as it's your psychic eye, that allows you to discover things that other folks wouldn't. This is how mediums around the globe get to put together accurate readings to individuals who seek it. If you're asking yourself if you have an active third eye or not, below are a few signs to look out for:

#1: You might find yourself with the ability to read the thoughts of other individuals without them saying something to you at first. This is an ability which is pretty common in lots of people which are considered to have psychic medium skills. They can feel what's occurring in someone's head without having any word being uttered to them at all.

#2: You might have undergone a few dreams which tell or alert you of a future circumstance which may directly impact on people you know. These visions often materialize, and may be indexed by any professional psychic medium around as some form of prophetic dream.

#3: You have the capability to view the energies being exuded by somebody in the type of colors, also known as aura reading. This psychic medium ability basically lets you look into a person's past, present and future, and offers someone with exact information on the concerns they're in search of enlightenment with; based on the colors they emit.

#4: You can simply see odd psychic phenomenon, which may be rather daunting and frightening at the beginning. These phenomena may include you being able to see ghosts or spirits encircling your environment as well as being capable to instantly identify the result of a certain situation with no prior knowledge of it.

#5:You own the ability to speak with those same spiritual beings, whether they are guardian angels, spirit guides or even the souls of your family and friends passed on. You can actually use this skill to gain a bit of knowledge on the many issues which seem to take a toll on your life. Apart from that, you can also use this ability to help other people.

About the Author:

Tana Hoy is America's foremost psychic medium who is known for his unique ability of communicating with the other side. Apart from being your bridge to communicate with those on the other side, Tana can also help you hone your psychic medium gifts.

Anglican Priest Ordained To Catholic Priesthood In Savannah

Anglican Priest Ordained To Catholic Priesthood In Savannah

From Georgia-

In a first for the Catholic Diocese of Savannah, Bishop Gregory J. Hartmayer ordained an Anglican priest to the Catholic priesthood Wednesday.

The Rev. Lucien Lindsey was ordained a Catholic priest at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Savannah and incardinated in the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter.

The Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter is a structure, similar to a diocese, that was created by the Vatican in 2012 for former Anglican communities and clergy seeking to become Catholic.

It was established by Pope Benedict XVI for those of the Anglican heritage who enter full communion with the Catholic Church while maintaining distinctive elements of their theological, spiritual and liturgical patrimony.

Wednesday's ordination was the 49th since the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter was created, according to Monsignor Jeffrey N. Steenson, Ordinary of the Chair of St. Peter, who traveled from Houston to participate in Wednesday's ceremony.

Devil Worship In Disguise As Human Rights

Devil Worship In Disguise As Human Rights
1Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

25 Behold, I have told you before.

26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Alice Ann Bailey, a leading disciple of the Russian theosophist Madame Helena Blavatsky(Believes that Lucifer is the true god and Jesus the inferior infiltrator), formed the Lucifer Publising Company in 1920. 1922 saw the organization's name changed to Lucis Trust though the advancement of the Luciferian beliefs remained true. Beliefs that in Blavatsky's words: "oppose the materialism of science and every dogmatic theology, especially the Christian, which the Chiefs of the Society regard as particularly pernicious."

Note around the same time when God appointed a prophetess Ellen G white to speak on his behalf, the devil appointed his own Madame Helena Blavatsky to counter the message of deliverance and the plan of salvation to the the people of the world. Similar show down took place in Bible times :1.Jeremiah and Hananiah the son of Azur the false prophet 2. Elijah vs the false prophets. In all the instances Gods prophet prevailed.

Lucis Trust promulgates the work of an "Ascended Master" who was working 'through' Alice Bailey for some 30 years. The Lucis Trust Publishing Company and their many fronts and organizations worship an "Externalized Hierarchy" of "Ascended Masters," who carry out the work of a Luciferian "master plan" for the establishment of a permanent "Age of Aquarius" ruled by one "Sanat Kumara" (satan the same thing), the "Lord of the World."

Lucis Trust is a powerful institution that enjoys "Consultative Status" with the United Nations, which permits it to have a close working relationship with the U.N., including a seat on the weekly sessions, but most importantly, influence with powerful business and national leaders throughout the world.

Through its founding of World Goodwill, Lucis Trust is "aggressively involved in promoting a globalist ideology": Authors and participants in its various conferences read like a Who's Who of globalist insiders. Featured on its website, for example, is the Universal Declaration of Human Responsibilities, put forth in April 1998 as a companion document to the notorious UN Universal Declaration on Human Rights. Signatories to the World Goodwill document include: Helmut Schmidt, former chancellor of West Germany; Malcolm Fraser, former Australian prime minister; Oscar Arias Sanchez, former prime minister of Costa Rica; Shimon Peres; Robert McNamara; Paul Volcker; and Jimmy Carter.

Lucis Trust is run through an international board of trustees whose membership is said to have included: John D. Rockefeller; Norman Cousins; Robert S. McNamara; Thomas Watson, Jr. (IBM, former U.S. Ambassador to Moscow); Henry Clausen, Grand Commander of the Supreme Council, 33rd Degree, Southern District Scottish Rite and Henry Kissinger. This would then tie Bailey's influential occult organization into the international conspiracy of elitists, including the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), the Bilderbergs, and the Trilateral Commission.

I've been able to confirm some of these connections through Lucis Trust's involvement in the Windsor International Bank and Trust Company, where on its site, the Windsor Bank plainly states that its "a Member of, Advisor to, Affiliate of, Friend of, Benefactor of, or Contributor to, the following Organizations, to name several:"

* International Fund For Development
* The Hall Family Foundation
* The Rockefeller Foundation
* WHO/Habitat For Humanity
* The Lucis Trust (NGO); United Nations
* National Resources Defense Council
* Capital Missions Company
* Investors Circle
* The Coca-Cola Foundation
* Fellowship For International Education
* International Monetary Agency
* International Center For Educational Advancement
* Christian Children's Fund (Worldwide)
* BAMPAC (Black America's Political Action)
* Fellowship For Reconciliation
* National Institute For the Advancement Of Science
* International Association For Environmental Cooperation
* World Wildlife Federation
* Council On Foreign Relations (CFR)

* CARICOM

* NAFTA

* MERCOSOR

* Council Of Emerging Nations
* Freedom Communications, Inc.
* The European Institute (Foreign Affairs Magazine)
* United Nations Association of The USA
* The NAACP (National Association of Colored People)
* The Royal Heritage Charitable Relief Fund

One disturbing aspect is the blatant targeting of children. Lucis Trust directs an activity called Triangles in Education, which is partnered with groups that "make some contribution to the task of laying the foundations for the new education." This, according to Bailey, is part of the overall work of the New Group of World Servers, "a band of "obedient" workers and servers of the WORD." The word being the teachings of her channeled Master Djwhal Khul, through her voluminous occult works. The "word", has also been heeded by the likes of Robert Muller - former assistant Secretary General of the United Nations and winner of the UNESCO Prize for Peace Education in 1989 for his World Core Curriculum. He said, "The underlying philosophy upon which The Robert Muller School is based will be found in the teaching set forth in the A programme of distributing literature, both ELECTRONICALLY AND IN PRINTED FORM, on a variety of spiritual topics, including: THE IMMINENT REAPPEARANCE OF THE WORLD TEACHER, known by Christians as the Christ and by those of other faiths by many different names;the nature of the Divine Plan and how we may cooperate with it; THE WORK OF THE SPIRITUAL HIERARCHY( SOCIETY OF ILLUMINED MINDS,Illuminati,secret societies etc.) (Note what has been said above contradicts God's word mathew (24:26-27) (Mark 12:32) 1CORINTHIANS 8:6. THE SECRET DOCTRINE

In the occult Satan (or Lucifer) has traditionally been associated with the sun, the harbinger of spiritual light. Esoteric philosophy teaches that it is this "great being", not the God of the Old Testament, that was the true redeemer and benefactor of mankind in the Garden of Eden.

Once the key to Genesis is in our hands it is the scientific and symbolic Kabbala which unveils the secret. The Great Serpent of the Garden of Eden and the "Lord God" are identical...

Stand in awe of him, and sin not, speak his name with trembling... It is Satan who is the god of our planet and the only god...

When the Church, therefore, curses Satan, it curses the cosmic reflection of God...

In this case it is but natural... to view Satan, the Serpent of Genesis as the real creator and benefactor, the Father of Spiritual mankind.

For it is he who was the "Harbinger of Light," bright radiant Lucifer, who opened the eyes of automaton (Adam) created by Jehovah, as alleged; and he who was first to whisper, "In the day yea eat there of, ye shall be as Elohim, knowing good and evil" - can only be regarded in the light of a Saviour. An "adversary" to Jehovah... he still remains in esoteric truth the ever loving "Messenger"... who conferred on us spiritual instead of physical immortality...

The Surya Siddantha

The Surya Siddantha
THE SURYA SIDDHANTA IS AN ANCIENT INDIAN SCRIPTURE AND SCIENTIFIC WORK IN ONE. IT'S NAME MEANS IN SANSKRIT "THE WISDOM (SIDDHA) OF THE SUN (SURYA)". THE WORK ITSELF IS ABOUT 2500 YEARS OLD AND IS A POWERFUL TESTAMENT TO THE DEPTH AND ADVANCEMENT OF SCIENCE IN ANCIENT INDIA. THE SCRIPTURE ITSELF HAS AMAZED EASTERN AND WESTERN SCIENTISTS, ESPECIALLY ASTRONOMERS FOR DECADES.

WHY? BEHOLD THE LIST OF CHAPTERS...

The table of contents in this article are:The Motions of the PlanetsThe Places of the PlanetsDirection, Place and TimeThe Moon and EclipsesThe Sun and EclipsesThe Projection of EclipsesPlanetary ConjunctionsOf the StarsRisings and SettingsThe Moon's Risings and SettingsCertain Malignant Aspects of the Sun and MoonCosmogony, Geography, and Dimensions of the CreationThe GnomonThe Movement of the Heavens and Human ActivityTwenty five hundred years ago, the scripture denied that the Earth was flat and designated it a sphere!

This was at a time when most everyone thought otherwise. Indeed, the west would continue to think so for centuries upon centuries to come. The scripture also gives remarkably accurate measurements for both the diameter and circumference of the Earth.Just some of the miracles of this work include...The average length of the tropical year as 365.

2421756 days, which is only 1.4 seconds shorter than the modern value of 365.2421904 days!The average length of the sidereal year, the actual length of the Earth's revolution around the Sun, as 365.2563627 days, which is virtually the same as the modern value of 365.25636305 days. This remained the most accurate estimate for the length of the sidereal year anywhere in the world for over a thousand years!

Not content to limit measurements to Earth, the Surya Siddhanta also states the motion, and diameters of the planets! For instance the estimate for the diameter of Mercury is 3,008 miles, an error of less than 1% from the currently accepted diameter of 3,032 miles. It also estimates the diameter of Saturn as 73,882 miles, which again has an error of less than 1% from the currently accepted diameter of 74,580.

Aside from inventing the decimal system, zero and standard notation (giving the ancient Indians the ability to calculate trillions when the rest of the world struggled with 120) the Surya Siddhanta also contains the roots of Trigonometry.It uses sine (jya), cosine (kojya or "perpendicular sine") and inverse sine (otkram jya) for the first time!

"Objects fall on earth due to a force of attraction by the earth. therefore, the earth, the planets, constellations, the moon and the sun are held in orbit due to this attraction".It was not until the late 17th century in 1687, 1200 years later, that Sir Isaac Newton rediscovered the Law of Gravity.The Surya Siddhanta also goes into a detailed discussion about time cycles and that time flows differently in differently circumstances, the roots of relativity.

Here we have a perfect example of Indian philosophy's belief that science and religion are not mutually exclusive. Unlike, say, Abrahamic religions (Christianity, Islam and Judaism) one does not have to dig and dig and try all ways to force scientific truth from scriptures. By contrast it is stated in cold hard numbers by the Sun God, Surya.

This work shows that spirituality is all about the search for Truth (Satya) and that Science is as valid a path to God as living in a monastery. It is the search for ones own personal Truth that will lead one ultimately to God. (

The Human Tree Of Iranians

The Human Tree Of Iranians
A question to ponder indeed 'What If The Iranian Establishment Needed Nuclear Weapons To Survive?'
Blind belief systems self-destruct on the basis of false morality.

What ever you do will come back to you. Do bad, and bad will do you. Do good, and good will come to you. If you kill for some religious reason, then your religion will die. Simple. And that is exactly what is happening to the killers in Iran.

The cornerstone of non-violence

Whatever is done to remove the killers from Iran, cannot be done by violence that will haunt us later. We cannot play their game of violence. If we do, we will be like them. So the question is what else can you do?

Is there a magical solution?

And I am sure you will laugh with this solution. Imagine that in another reality there is a solution. You then ask yourself why are you in this reality? Why do you need to be in this timeline, when there is another one that is better? Can you slide from one to the other? These are strange questions. But they appear once you refuse to kill. A different set of beliefs need to be accepted.

Daily Gratitudes

Daily Gratitudes
What kind of gratitude practices do you have in your day to day life? Or do you have any?

Over here in Faye land, we're trying to infuse a little more gratitude into our daily routine so we've started a new tradition: at dinner saying one thing we are grateful for during that particular day. It can't be something like I'm grateful for my family or for the love in my family. No, it has to be from something that happened that day, so for example: I'm grateful for the funny birthday card I received because it totally made me feel like that person got me and took the time to find something that totally is me. It was sweet and totally awesome.

Want to see? I know you're curious:

outside

inside

It's totally a little thing but it's funny to me and it made me thankful to have people in my life who understand my lit geeky humour.

Mr Faye and I have talked a lot about what types of traditions we want to bring into our lives and why, and this one sort of fits the bill the best. He grew up in a home where they prayed before every meal but it became meaningless because it was the same prayer every day and it was done without thought. Within my Wiccan tradition there is a prayer before meals that we could do, but honestly I worry it would become the exact same thing: by rote ritual, which is something neither of us wants as a tradition.

So we like the idea of taking a family gratitude moment because it changes every day, makes us have to reflect back on our day, and remember something positive in it. We hope that as a tradition it'll help both us and Baby Faye remember to be thankful for what we have and to have a more positive outlook on our daily lives. It's so easy to get bogged down in the complaints and negativity. And while they have their place, we'd like to work on fostering happiness and a sense of peace in our lives through gratitude.

What do you think, do you have suggestions on ways to grow the practice or things that you do differently that you'd like to share.

Anti Gentilism In The Sefer Yezirah

Anti Gentilism In The Sefer Yezirah
The Sefer Yezirah; or "'Book of Creation'", is one of the oldest existent texts of jewish mysticism although the debate on its age has yet to be authoritatively resolved: however to the present author the case for it being mentioned in the Babylonian Talmud is the most convincing. This would date the work to the years after the nominal fall of Rome and the rise of the Byzantine incarnation of the Empire. The traditional claim is that the work was composed by Abraham itself, but this is obviously faulty in line with the time-line briefly outlined above. Another claim; although more plausible if not less fantastic, is that the work was authored by Rabbi Akiva around the same time that he supposedly composed the Sefer ha-Zohar (the "'Book of Splendour'") while up to his neck in nothing but sand in a cave hiding from the vengeful Romans (Akiva had been a prominent supporter of the revolt of Bar Kochba against the Romans). (1)

The work was; in fact, more likely authored by some obscure and now totally unknown jewish mystic who wished to engage in some irrational speculation based on the then understood text of the Torah with elucidation by quotation provided by selections from what now understand to be the Ketuvim (Major Prophets). This is probably why it has been ignored by some jewish scholars of the same era such as Yuval. (2)

The Sefer Yezirah itself is very short text compared to other jewish philosophical and metaphysical work; for example Moses Hayyim Luzzatto's "'Mesillat Yesharim'", and is more comparable in being somewhat" 'coded'" thought with the tales of Rabbah bar-bar Hannah or the poems of Solomon ibn Gabriol. It is never-the-less usually divided into chapter and section; like other jewish religious work, for the purposes of referencing and on this score I have elected to utilise the most common English translation available which is that of Isidor Kalisch originally published in 1877. (3) Readers will find the easiest edition of Kalisch's work to find is that published; ironically enough, by the American Rosicrucian Order as part of their" 'Rosicrucian Library'" series. (4) I have elected to replace the spelling used by Kalisch of the Hebrew word for book;" 'Sepher'", with the more correct "'Sefer'" as the academic linguistic custom in regard to Hebrew has changed since Kalisch published the work nearly a century and a half ago.

The part of the work I wish to concentrate on is the implicit anti-gentilism found in the Sefer Yezirah; as in most other jewish religious work, as it has; like much else, been missed by critics of jewry and Judaism.

The Sefer Yezirah begins with the tried and true forms; although blasphemous to later jews, of explicitly naming Yahweh (rather than simply "'G-d'" or "'Hashem'") to be the" 'King of the Universe'", "'Omnipotent'", "'All Kind'", "'Eternal'" and so forth. Yahweh is also explicitly stated to have "'created the universe'". (5) We are also told slightly later that Yahweh is both responsible for creating the universe and also bringing about its ultimate end. (6) Although one can tell that the author of the Sefer Yezirah is writing to convince other jews of the truth of the almighty jew in the sky from the reference made to the fact that the reader should; in the author of the Sefer Yezirah's opinion," 'comprehend this great wisdom'" so that Yahweh can be lead to "'his throne once again'". (7)

This tells us that while Yahweh is supposedly omnipotent over all things: he requires the assistance of the faithful to retain his power over the world. Somewhat similarly to how the devil was developed in Christian thought to somehow have considerable power in a world ruled by an omnipotent and omniscient creator god. (8)

Contradictions have historically been no bar to belief systems if they can be rationalised sufficiently, but it does tend to leave them open to later rationalist/skeptical attack. The identification of the faithful alluded to by the author of the Sefer Yezirah is made crystal clear; after much mystical mumbo-jumbo, when he talks of the first person to comprehend the alleged mystical truisms of which he writes being the jewish patriarch: Abraham. This pleased Yahweh so much that he called Abraham" 'friend'" and made a covenant with him. (9)

The covenant referred to is; of course, the central claim of Judaism that Yahweh; omnipotent, omnipresent and generally homicidal, has made a direct contract with the jewish people; note not simply those of" 'the jewish religion'", who are those descended from Abraham and later Moses.

When we say the jewish people it would perhaps be best to refer to the entity as it is understood in Judaism: Israel. Israel in Judaism is not a state per se, but rather a direct reference to" 'the children of Israel'" aka Abraham's progeny. One can thus begin to see the implication of both what Judaism and the Sefer Yezirah are saying: one biological nation has been chosen above all others, because of whom they are descended from not what they believe.

In essence then it becomes a question of lineage not one of confession: this has been unfortunately confused by the advent of Christianity and Islam both of which use the confession of faith as the prime genus for their identity, while Judaism uses biological heritage. This informs a sense of superiority in Judaism; reinforced by the biological class system outlined explicitly in the Mishnah, that a born jew is far superior to a mere convert who at the very best is a "'jewish soul born into a non-jewish body'" and therefore impure.

This superiority is also implied by the suggestion in the Sefer Yezirah that Yahweh knew Abraham and thus the jews before "'he formed them in his belly'". (10) This implies the special relationship further described by the Sefer Yezirah to the effect that Yahweh made the covenant of the" 'ten fingers'" with Abraham; which is a separate one from the orthodox covenant represented by circumcision (the "'covenant of the toes'"), which is also called the covenant of the tongue.

To understand what the "'covenant of the tongue'" means we have to recall that the author of the Sefer Yezirah is trying to bring jews back to either his specific form of Judaism or Judaism in general; per his earlier statement that Yahweh should be returned to his throne, (11) and looking at the world as one dominated by the unclean gentiles. The Sefer Yezirah is quite clear; although somewhat roundabout, on its requirement for the world. As Yahweh created all things and is the lord of the world (12), but in did so symbolically using the apparently intrinsic power of the Hebrew alphabet as the "'language of creation'". (13)

Yahweh also created "'the decade out of nothing'"; (14) by which it is meant that before Yahweh there was nothing: no protons, neutrons or electrons, and the Sefer Yezirah assigns this act of complete creation (not accounting for how Yahweh himself existed) to be analogous with two body parts: the ten toes and ten fingers. The author of the Sefer Yezirah also manages to anticipate the "'holy hand grenade'" sketch of Monty Python fame by a millennia and some loose change when they assert: "'Ten are the numbers out of nothing, and not the number nine, ten and not eleven.'" (15)

The centre of this; i.e. between the "'fingers'" and "'toes'", is held to be the covenant of Abraham; i.e. between Yahweh and Israel, and is thus to rule the decade. The decade itself is outlined as a series of opposites assigned a number in sequence. (16) The sequence is defined by what is "'infinite'" and supposed to indicate the continuous attributes of this world (i.e. good and evil plus the odd additions of "'the beginning'", "'the end'"," 'height'" and" 'depth'" (17)). The author then goes on to claim that Yahweh rules over each of these absolutely and that the world is Yahweh's" 'holy habitation'" with presumably Israel; i.e. the jews, as its guardians and stewards. (18)

The Sefer Yezirah also gives Yahweh the credit for all natural phenomena as all forces of the world "'humble themselves'" before him, and therefore the" 'natural forces of the world'" (the gentiles) should "'humble themselves'" before his chosen people (the jews). (19) This interpretation confirmed by a quotation from Ezekiel to the effect that all living creatures should return to Yahweh and therefore gentiles should also pay homage to the jewish god, (20) but presumably through his earthly priesthood unless Yahweh presents himself as a "'whirlwind'" or some such. (21)

This is again confirmed by the Sefer Yezirah's statement of the" 'articulate word'" (hence the" 'covenant of tongues'") of holy power being the holy spirit meaning both the jewish tradition that Yahweh; in essence, spoke the world into existence and also that the speech of Yahweh (of which are the jews are guardians and stewards) is the" 'holy spirit'" that governs the world. (22)

The Sefer Yezirah also offers an origin for the tetragrammaton (the "'four lettered name'" of G-d [YHWH: remember that Hebrew historically hasn't used vowel sounds]) when it claims that Yahweh bound the power of creation and thus magical power in that name by using the power of the Hebrew language. (23) This is; of course, why so much jewish magical and spell lore focuses on the power of names, letters and numbers as opposed to the more sympathetic forms of magical and spell lore used by non-jews. (24) That Yahweh bound up the power of "'air, water, ether and fire'" in the tetragrammaton ("'his great name'") (25) is indicative of the power the author of the Sefer Yezirah feels the jews to have as a people: for they are the custodians; as the covenanted people of Yahweh, of this great power which only they can rightfully unleash as only they have the key to doing so (the mastery of the Hebrew language and the Torah).

This great power; of course, can be used to place Yahweh once more on this throne that sits astride both the people of Israel (the jews) and the peoples of non-Israel (the gentiles). In a sense then the power the jews have been invested with by Yahweh is something they can; and should according to them, use to bring the gentiles back to worshipping Yahweh and by extension his chosen people (the jews).

The tetragrammaton is even given the power of new creation by the author of the Sefer Yezirah when he states that "'every creature and every word emanated from (the) one name'". (26) Indeed this ability to create anew is found in jewish literature in the legend of the golem of Prague which supposedly had the ability to sort truth and fiction and also punished the gentiles who asserted; supposedly untruthfully, that the jews could murder children as part of their rites. The golem itself was created using a profound knowledge of jewish mystical lore; the creator usually being ascribed as the legendary Rabbi Jehudah Leow, and the secret of the tetragrammaton (i.e. Yahweh's name). (27)

This is obviously legend, but the belief in the singular jewish ability to create new life from nothing; i.e. a literal act of deistic creation, points to the idea of the covenant and the special chosen nature of the jews in Judaism. As after all; as Hole pointed out long ago in relationship to European witchcraft, (28) it is not so much whether such a thing could really work, but rather that it was believed to do so. So in this sense intent is actually more important than the lack of substance to the attempt.

The author of the Sefer Yezirah; and many learned and unlearned jews after him, seriously believed that the use of the Tetragrammaton could (and should) be used to produce magical and supernatural effects that should be used for either the benefit of Judaism, jews in general or an individual jew in particular. That they sought to use these magical powers against gentiles is shown by the legend of the golem of Prague as well as the Hebrew Chronicle of Prague which asserts that whatever happened in the world to the jews was their fault and that Yahweh punished them and the gentiles solely for what the jews had or had not done. (29) This attitude is directly akin to the idea of the jews as being the centre of all things in this world and the next which is announced by the Sefer Yezirah. (30)

The Sefer Yezirah does manage to somewhat anticipate Calvin's well-known ideas of predestination (31) when it states that Yahweh" 'predetermined'" every creature (32), but Calvin and the author of the Sefer Yezirah differ slightly in the end envisioned with the Sefer Yezirah asserting that while Yahweh knows the fate of all (he is after all asserted numerous times to be omnipresent) he allows jews as his covenanted nation to change their individual fate. Calvin; of course, allowed nothing of the kind and logically reasoned in his "'Institutes of the Christian Religion'" that as God is omnipresent and omnipotent he must know the fate of all men before they are all born.

The author of the Sefer Yezirah doesn't have intellectual courage of Calvin; who in spite of rumours past and present was not jewish as far as any scholar can ascertain, as he avoids the necessary consequences of the idea of the omnipresent, omnipotent god he posits; which Calvin endorsed, and merely uses the covenant with Yahweh to assert the jews have a special status with Yahweh. While the gentiles; being lower beings in the eyes of Judaism, are in a predestined mould much like the sheep of the field and the fish in the sea. It is incorrect to assert that the jews look upon the gentiles as actual beasts of the field, but it is not incorrect to assert that jews in practice believe them to be.

All-in-all the Sefer Yezirah is a fairly despicable document, but it has been missed by critics of jews and Judaism in part because it is somewhat obscure. However at the same time obscurer quotations and facts have been brought to light and used by anti-Semites in the past so I see no reason to exclude the Sefer Yezirah from the growing corpus of the anti-Semitic critique of the jews and Judaism.

Where-as "'height'" and "'depth'" is more of a bad translation of the Hebrew text which would be better loosely translated as" 'sky'" to give a sense of the meaning. What the author of the Sefer Yezirah means is that the height to the sky is infinite as the sky is, because one cannot see the end of it.

Priest Says Vatican Controls Through Fear Not Love

Priest Says Vatican Controls Through Fear Not Love
*subhead*Awful.*subhead*A retired priest who was ordained in 1966 is speaking out against the Church because clearly attacking the Church and questioning the role and authenticity of sacraments was on his bucket list.

Seriously. He's speaking out because he didn't want to die before he really gave it to the Church but good.

Check this out from The Journal Standard:

The Vatican rules the Roman Catholic Church through indoctrination, control, and fear, rather than through nurturing love, service, and freedom, according to Father Emmett Coyne, a Roman Catholic priest. His new book, The Theology of Fear exposes how far afield the highest church authorities have strayed from the gospel of Jesus Christ. The book is available on Amazon and on www.emmettcoyne.net

"I'm on the last lap of life and eternity is facing me. It's my last chance to speak up and speak out," said Father Coyne, who was ordained in 1966 and is retired at age 73...

He believes Catholics learn more about how to go to hell than how to get into heaven, and that, historically, the sacraments were established as a way to control church members through guilt and fear. "Jesus proclaimed the kingdom of God. He didn't proclaim the sacraments," he said.

Theology of Fear further asserts that seminarians for the priesthood are ordained based on their ability to follow doctrine without question, while activist priests are viewed as risks to church authority. "They [seminarians] drop out when they discover they can't think for themselves," said Father Coyne, who once was chastised by his superiors for adding the words, "Jesus, our good shepherd," to a prayer.

What does this long-time priest hope to accomplish with his book The Theology of Fear? The 50th Anniversary of the Vatican Council will occur in October, and Father Coyne believes change, reform, and transparency of the church's highest echelons are crucial. He wants everyday Catholics to rediscover Jesus' teachings that it is the person who is absolute in God's eyes, not an institution. Jesus emphasized the spirit of the law grounded in love, never the letter of the law based on punishment. Father Coyne expects church authorities will not be happy with his book. "One has to follow the truth wherever it takes him," he said. To get an idea of where his head is, all proceeds of his book will reportedly be donated to non-profit Partners In Health (www.PIH.org),a social justice organization that while does do some good, also emphasizes "family planning" and "contraceptive options," counseling.

Another webpage discussing Partners in Health's efforts to support women's health in temporary settlements indicates: "All mobile clinic staff will also be attending 'refresher' trainings in women's health basics-particularly the use of emergency contraception and management of victims of rape."

So I guess it's no surprise that Fr. Coyne isn't a fan of the letter of the law because he doesn't seem to like the laws.

"Dragoncon 2012 was an absolute blast this year. In between getting to meet Alice Cooper through my friend James Randi and wading through thousands of the most intense costumes I have ever seen in one place ever, I managed to get a standing room only 400+ group of both paranormal seekers and skeptical minds in one room for an hour of my best psychic "readings."

Using some of the skills I wrote about in "Psychic Blues", I laid it on thick and in the character of a "medium" for the first fifty minutes; accurately telling different people I was sorry they had recently lost their pet dog, how another had recently had some difficulty with her brown car and in one of those moments every mentalist or psychic lives for; I blew one woman away by telling her I saw a vision of the name "Stanley" and a picture that came into my mind of a clown walking through a graveyard, putting flowers on the graves. She stood up and looked like she was going to break out in tears. She then proceeded to tell the stunned audience that when she was a little girl in her home town, there was a "crazy old man" who used to dress up as a clown and put flowers on the tombstones in the local cemetery. Her name was Cindy, but amazingly, he called her "Stanley." I had even described his long clown shoes.

So how did I do that? I can't tell you here, it would take too long. But suffice it to say that this woman was so freaked she came up after the show, (after I had done the "reveal" to the rest of the audience explaining how I had accomplished what they had only a few minutes before been so taken in by) and flatly refused to believe the simple "law of large numbers" explanation I gave her. When I asked if she had been about to cry, she answered with a line that I will always remember and that made the whole trip to the humid climes of Atlanta in August worthwhile. She said, no, she had been so struck by what I had said, she said, "I was gonna' puke." High praise indeed for a psychic with the blues.

It is always very satisfying to see the look of wonderment on an audiences' face when I spin my readings out into their midst, but even more rewarding when I stop, then quickly ask, "You didn't think I really saw dead people around you talking to me did you?" Then proceed to swiftly explain exactly how I knew what I knew and how I found out about that specific information. When teaching magic, this is what I refer to as the "ah ha" moment. When illusion suddenly turns into disillusion I can audibly hear the crowd either groan in a sort of despairing exclamation, or simply moan at the realization of how simple it all really is. As I told the crowd the next day in my lecture on the how and why of what I did, it's as if the audience exhales their ignorance. It may not be as enchanting or mystical as going away thinking I could read their minds, but it shows in a flash just how easy it is for today's crop of psychics, mediums and grief vampire charlatans to convince an audience that they have supernatural powers or a direct line to the world of ghosts and spirits. If I could do that, I would be the most dangerous mind on the planet."
