What Is A Clairsentient Reader

What Is A Clairsentient Reader
The word "clairsentient" describes a person having the ability to feel and obtain information from physical and emotional sensations. I feel pain, sadness, happiness, depression, joy, panic, etc. You may now know that this can be pleasant at times but also very rough too. While some can obtain these feelings by actually touching an object, others do not need to. Many clairsentients are able to give psychic readings without having to use any divination tools such as tarot cards, pendulums, crystal balls or scrying. Many people feel they obtain a higher quality psychic reading from a psychic who is clairsentient. Some clairsentients will use divination tools (mostly a crystal ball) as they feel some people are more impressed if tools are used.

A clairsentient Reader is a sensitive who has the powers of clairsentience which in ESP language means someone has the ability to sense qualities about a person. For example a medium may be able to describe the character and physical characteristics of a deceased loved one. Combined with clairaudience and clairvoyance this will give an accurate description of the communicating spirit. If you want to get a psychic reading from a clairsentient, be sure to thoroughly check them out first. Beware of those that have a gimmicky look to their web site. Make sure there is an in-depth profile available for you to read. If the clairsentient has customer feedback, be sure to check it out as it can give you a view on how others have found the advice of this particular clairsentient.

Some words about "free" psychics and clairsentients. Many things in life are free but the services of a professional clairsentient are not. If you are paying for something, you have recourses available to you if what you purchase is not what is advertised. There are many, many people on the Internet pretending to be clairsentients but they are mostly people without gifts and are just practicing on you. In some cases they are just out to mess with you. What they give you is not what you are looking for.

Only certain psychics have an extreme sense of touch. For the most part, psychics are simply clairvoyant or clairaudient. However, a psychic with an extreme sense of touch tends to possess not only the gift of clairsentient, but also the gift of clairvoyance. This allows them to be able to see into the future of the person for whom they are doing the reading. This ability can play a huge role in a person's life, especially if they have experienced feelings of a supernatural form. This ability, like any other psychic ability, is one to nurture and to develop over time. Once this ability is developed, it can be use to help others. Some clairsentient people use their unique gift in order to help those who are terminally ill, seriously injured, or simply suffer from aches and pains. Certain clairsentient people believe that they can pass on their good feelings into those who seem to have no hope or joy left by simply touching them.

Using the clairsentient ability of touch can help give people a purpose in their life. Some will open therapy institutions that focus on passing energy between the clairsentient person and the person that is seeking the therapy. One thing that people need to remember, however, is that there is the chance that the clairsentient will see things that they are trying to keep in the dark...

Psychic Advisors What And Who Are They

Psychic Advisors What And Who Are They
The word "psychic? is defined as "mental? or "of the soul?, but usually refers to a person's ability to perceive unseen information, outside of from the five known senses. Sometimes called "extrasensory perception?, a psychic possesses a form of paranormal ability. While the modern notion of "real psychic talent? is more widely accepted than ever, a lot of people still deny its existence.

The term "psychic advisors? has been recently popularized by the multi-million dollar psychic industry, through which psychics provide clients with insights into their future. Some of the most widely known psychic advisors of the past century include John Edward and Sylvia Browne.

Psychic ability and fortune telling skills date back to ancient times, and history shows that many early civilizations closely followed astrology. Those who were able to predict future events without using charts or other methods were first known as "seers? or prophets, and over time they became known as psychics, or clairvoyants.

From the earliest prophets of the Bible, to the seers who practiced their craft in the Oracle of Apollo at Delphi, a sense of awe has surrounded these extraordinary people, and many have sought out their visions of the future. Perhaps one the most enduring historical figures with psychic ability was Nostradamus, a sixteenth-century French apothecary whose predictions are still consulted to this day. Most of his prophetic visions dealt with impending disasters, such as earthquakes, wars, floods, murders and plagues, but none of his predictions were dated. While Nostradamus remains a controversial figure, his fans still credit him with the accurate predictions of numerous world events.

In the late nineteenth century, Edgar Cayce gained worldwide popularity for making a number of highly publicized psychic predictions at a time when Modern Spiritualism had just become a popular. Among several others who subscribed to this movement, Cayce believed he could make contact with the spirit world and communicate with the dead.

While skeptics and scholars attribute the presence of psychic abilities to a combination of manipulate trickery and self delusion, in a 2005 Gallup survey, an astonishing 41 percent of Americans surveyed expressed some belief in extrasensory perception. In the same study, Gallup reported that 26 percent believe in clairvoyance and 31 percent think that psychic, or telepathic communication is possible.

Also, some people believe that a person can inherit a psychic ability, since the talent seems to be present in families from generation to generation. Still others believe that psychic skills can be enhanced, or even activated, by practicing focused mental disciplines, like meditation.

According to 2006 Oklahoma University survey, belief in psychic abilities and the paranormal is more common among college seniors, at 31% and graduate students, at 34%, than it is with college freshmen, at 23%. This study suggests that the higher a person's education level, the more likely they are to trust in psychic advisors.

People who claim to possess psychic abilities often will try to make a living from their talent, with many of these psychic advisors hosting their own psychic chat web sites, radio or television programs. The recent increase in psychic hotlines, psychic networks, and online psychic readings may have contributed to the industry's market share, but it has also made it much more difficult to be sure if the person you speak with is really a genuine psychic, or just a fake psychic looking to exploit an innocent public.

Death Card Design

Death Card Design
We recently had the death card as our card of the week for tarot week which sparked some creative thinking for me. I want to know for all of you out there creating your own decks; What imagery speaks to you for this card? When making your death card, will you go traditional skeleton/death or is there Also I have a good idea for my magician card for my tarot deck I am working on and recently one of the communities gave me food for thought for my Death/Rebirth card.

I am going to call it Rebirth as that speaks more to me and I feel encompasses more of the meaning of the card, but I had thought of only putting a phoenix on the card to symbolize death and rebirth, reincarnation sort of thing, but I think now I am going to mix the phoenix with the washer at the ford type of image ( old crone with bloody hands washing blood soaked cloths, there is a legend that if you see this women along a river it symbolizes your death.

) I need to look more into the imagery, but I have heard this legend before and it is an interesting concept to me for imagery. I like the idea anyway, sort of a fated to be kind of thing in that there is no stopping it, but it isn't exactly just an end it is also a begging what with the phoenix imagery.

It makes me excited about the deck all over again, I just have to get off my butt and start drawing out more of the cards to be water-colored so that I can get to this card. I also have to research some more about they imagery and see if it is a good fit, but I can see the card in my head, which before I couldn't so I think that is a good thing and worth exploring.

Psychic Medium Signs Of An Active Third Eye

5 Psychic Medium Signs Of An Active Third Eye

By Tana Hoy

Everybody on earth comes into the world with some form of psychic ability already, but not many actually can work with it, or even unlock it. A psychic medium is definitely among the very best examples of this, since these folks actually have the power to detect information which they usually wouldn't be aware of. They can create a connection with your psychic energy and put together readings which could have a lot to do with your romantic endeavors, your work and health, among different matters.

In addition to that, just about the most important abilities that a psychic medium owns is clairvoyance. There's always a little chance that one of all the few individuals in a group may possibly can access their own psychic medium skills in spite of them being unable to express how or why it's so. One of the very popular thoughts often discussed on the globe of psychic readings is the third eye. Many psychics have this ability, and this actually is connected to clairvoyance, seeing as it's your psychic eye, that allows you to discover things that other folks wouldn't. This is how mediums around the globe get to put together accurate readings to individuals who seek it. If you're asking yourself if you have an active third eye or not, below are a few signs to look out for:

#1: You might find yourself with the ability to read the thoughts of other individuals without them saying something to you at first. This is an ability which is pretty common in lots of people which are considered to have psychic medium skills. They can feel what's occurring in someone's head without having any word being uttered to them at all.

#2: You might have undergone a few dreams which tell or alert you of a future circumstance which may directly impact on people you know. These visions often materialize, and may be indexed by any professional psychic medium around as some form of prophetic dream.

#3: You have the capability to view the energies being exuded by somebody in the type of colors, also known as aura reading. This psychic medium ability basically lets you look into a person's past, present and future, and offers someone with exact information on the concerns they're in search of enlightenment with; based on the colors they emit.

#4: You can simply see odd psychic phenomenon, which may be rather daunting and frightening at the beginning. These phenomena may include you being able to see ghosts or spirits encircling your environment as well as being capable to instantly identify the result of a certain situation with no prior knowledge of it.

#5:You own the ability to speak with those same spiritual beings, whether they are guardian angels, spirit guides or even the souls of your family and friends passed on. You can actually use this skill to gain a bit of knowledge on the many issues which seem to take a toll on your life. Apart from that, you can also use this ability to help other people.

The Haunting Of America From

The Haunting Of America From The Salem Witch Trials To Harry Houdini
About.com- As evidenced by the wealth of supernatural and paranormal shows on TV and in films, we like our ghosts and hauntings here in the U.S.A. In their book The Haunting of America: From the Salem Witch Trials to Harry Houdini, authors William J. Birnes and Joel Martin provide a historical context for our obsession with spookiness and the paranormal.

They begin at our Puritanical roots in Colonial America, when the Devil was everywhere (isn't He still?) and witches were for burning. And while interest in the occult somewhat declined during the age of rational thinking in the 18th century, we saw a soaring resurgence with the rise of Spiritualism in the mid-1800s and into the early 20th century, when we encounter the names The Fox Sisters, D.

D. Home, the Bell Witch and others. Then we have the popularity of the trance mediums and s'eances, which intrigued many, including presidents and notable figures such as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Harry Houdini - the former a believer and the latter a debunker. The Haunting of America is a well-researched history that will provide those with an interest in ghost hunting and the occult with some background and context for our current fascination.

Anthropology Of Religion: Magick Popularity

Anthropology Of Religion Paranormal Popularity
The latest bulletin from ReligionLink came out and the title is "Popularity of paranormal soars." The bulletin uses the results of the recent Baylor University survey on religion in America as its starting point. Recall in a previous post on this blog that the poll showed great interest in the paranormal. Below is the introduction to the bulletin, and the entire piece may be found here. This item should be of interest not only because Americans are more inclined to think of the paranormal near Halloween with our stereotypical understandings of the various influences on this holiday, but also because it should raise a series of questions for the church.

The interest in the paranormal is found outside "and inside" the church. What does this say about the church's neglect (other than denunciation) of the issues of spiritual powers and divine guidance?

Many interested in the paranormal use various forms of divination. Christians assume this is biblically off limits when they traditionally cite certain Old Testament texts, but what about those in the Old and New Testaments that appear to involve forms of divination that are viewed more positively?

How will the church engage the many people involved in various forms of folk magic and nature-based spiritualities where the paranormal is more readily accepted?

Here's the introduction to ReligionLink's bulletin:

"As children know, Halloween is a time to let the imagination run wild. A new survey of religious beliefs, however, shows that adults do the same, and not just for Halloween. "Baylor University's expansive survey", released in September 2006, found what it termed a "surprising level" of paranormal belief and experience. According to a 2005 Gallup Poll, about 75 percent of Americans hold some form of belief in the paranormal - extrasensory perception, ghosts, telepathy, clairvoyance, astrology, communicating with the dead, witches, reincarnation or channeling."

Some religions, such as Wicca or neo paganism, draw deeply from the wells of reincarnation and spells. Some traditions or cultures mix elements from traditional, organized religion with the supernatural. Yet most religions are laced with elements of mysticism or the surreal: Consider a voice coming from a burning bush, water turned into wine, lamp oil that lasted eight days, prophets and angels in the Quran.

October is a rich time to explore why so many people believe in the paranormal and how those beliefs are reflected in everyday actions and popular culture. After all, religion and the paranormal share a common challenge: Just because we can't prove it, does that mean it's not there?

Why it Matters

Both nonbelievers and people of faith keep blurring the lines between what they're sure about and what they sense could possibly be. Ordinary people have had dreams that came true, encountered coincidences that don't feel like coincidences, felt the presence of someone they love who has died. Many wonder: How big is the world, and what does it mean to believe in the divine?

Divination Classes Can Help You Unlock

Divination Classes Can Help You Unlock Your Spiritual Powers

By Richard Wilkins

When looking to increase your clairvoyant abilities and the power of divination you have probably read a great deal on the subject. You know that the most important thing that you can do is develop the ability to meditate and relax the physical body. Once these skills are developed to a level which seems impossible to move beyond it may be time for some guidance. There are a number of divination classes available that can help on the journey towards spiritual enlightenment and increased clairvoyant powers. These divination classes come in many different forms, from the traditional college-style course to an at-home, distance learning course, to even simple People who have reached the highest level of enlightenment most often teach divination classes. They have developed techniques that can be shown to help you move along your own progress. It is perfectly appropriate to seek out the knowledge and skills that these experts have in this field. These in-person classes are rare, and it can be difficult to spot a fake or a charlatan who is out only for the money, but they are also the best kinds of courses if you've already read all the When practicing meditation techniques it is sometimes difficult to tell if you are in the proper form or using a good technique. This is where an expert can help. They can give first hand advice on how to meditate in such a way that will open up inner divination abilities.

There are a number of these classes available online for your convenience. It is only necessary that you follow their instructions carefully to get the full benefit of the class. You don't even have to leave the comfort of your home to achieve good results. These at-home, distance learning divination classes are very good for the beginner, as they are only a fraction of the price of an in-person, one-on-one mentorship.

There are divination techniques that take many years to master. The experts you will find online are available to hold your hand through all of the techniques and make sure you understand what is happening before finishing each lesson. Many people benefit from learning from another person. Not everyone is able to learn things on their own with the help of If you are very serious about learning divination techniques then it would be in your best interest to look for one of these in-person divination classes. Unfortunately, most places in the world have banned or at least restricted these courses, and as such, they are not available everywhere. If this is the case for you, then it is better to get a distance learning divination class and try that first. Find one that meets your needs and is the best that is available for the money. You won't be sorry once you learn the tips and techniques of the pros.

Can We Feel The Psychic Inside Of Us

Can We Feel The Psychic Inside Of Us

By Pearly Adams

Afterlife experiences usually discusses experiences from people who have experienced near death, astral traveled or visitations from loved ones who have crossed over. The mediums are striving to give mankind proof of life after death. Is there life after death? This is a question that all adults ponder over some time or other. Psychic mediums say YES! There is a life after death and human consciousness survives death says the psychics. They also reveal what happens to the soul after death. Psychics here say that a person who knows there's an afterlife realizes that the eternal human spirit is here for a greater reason than just accumulating wealth and fame.

Meditation is the first vital step of psychic reading. Having concentration of mind and making precise analysis are some of basic requirements to learn the art of psychic reading. By practicing meditation one can shift the focus from ones mind to the others mind and thoughts. Once the reader understands the information by feeling, hearing and knowing it of the other person he interprets which is the next step in performing a free psychic reading. Every aspect of the information gathered through such source should be provided and even the minute details of the information also should not be ignored.

Nowadays, more and more people are seeking the help of psychics to get answers for love, finance, career or business
Psychic readers are believed to possess some sort of an extraordinary mental power or have highly sensitive sixth sense as it is called generally. Many people do refer this as an extrasensory perception of the individual. It is this mere perception that will allow them to look into an individuals future or do predict about the events that will be happening in the future. The word psychic is derived from a Greek word psychioks, which means the soul, or something

I Enjoy Being Psychic In America

I Enjoy Being Psychic In America

By Harvey Lookers

Animals have been known to perform a variety of feats that, were they performed by humans, would certainly be considered psychic in nature. From precognitively foretelling epileptic seizures to detecting cancer and other illnesses in patients to accurately predicting impending earthquakes, animal psychics appear to be a fact of life. Now if only we could teach them all to tell us what they know! Regardless many people around the world believe in psychic animals and use their natural psychic abilities to benefit them every day. So the next time your animal is doing something out of the ordinary like barking for no apparent reason at a wall just remember they have psychic powers and more than likely something is there!

Above all, remember that to succeed as a pet psychic, you must quiet your human mind before you will hear the clear minds of any animals. Unlike us, pets do not have minds filled with idle chatter and garbled emotions. Their minds are fairly singular, so all you really need to do is take control of yours to facilitate receptiveness to the messages they want to send. What makes becoming a pet psychic such a joy is the fact that your animals want to communicate with you. In fact, they are desperate to have you know their thoughts and intents - so much so that their every interaction with you is attempting by any means possible to help you understand.

As you read this, you may be asking yourself this question, What is a psychic reading? If youve never been in a psychic reading, or have never seen one in person other than what is on TV or in a movie, then you might be curious as to what goes on in one. We have all seen examples of readings on TV, and have also seen countless infomercials with exotic fortune-tellers calling for you to talk to them over the phone for a psychic consultation. We have also passed psychic businesses on the streets and highways, often wondering what goes on in one but not ever bothering to step foot through the door to find out. Well, this article will discuss a typical psychic reading and will give you a picture of what goes on behind the red curtain.

Once called into the meeting with the psychic, you will leave the waiting room and come face to face with your medium. Depending on what purpose you have, you may begin an interview with the psychic or may instead be prompted to lie down on a couch and focus your spiritual energies. Most likely, though, the psychic will greet you and will ask you to tell them about yourself, and will then ask you questions. During your psychic reading they may also use various tools to help them have insight into your life, like Tarot cards or the infamous crystal ball (which, more often than not, is used simply as a prop).

It is no wonder that psychics have a bad name. There has always been a certain percentage of practicing psychics who use the illusion of psychic abilities to fleece the unwary and line their own pockets. Through a sometimes complex system of cold readings and the Forer effect, these charlatans are able to imitate the abilities of real psychics and thus prey upon desperate and needy people who seek their assistance. These con artists are often hard to detect, but there are a few signs that can help you to determine when the psychic you are talking to is more concerned with the contents of your wallet than in any messages from the great beyond.

Mastering The Mystical Heptarchy Update

Mastering The Mystical Heptarchy Update
"Back in April I announced that my manuscript Mastering the Mystical Heptarchy" had been accepted for publication by Pendraig Publishing. Since then we've completed the editing process and the manuscript has now moved on to layout. I still don't have a publication date, but the book is coming along nicely and I hope to see it available for purchase within the next couple of months.

Once it's in print "Mastering the Mystical Heptarchy" will be one of the few available titles on working practical magick with the "Heptarchia Mystica", John Dee's grimoire that contains the conjurations and powers for the Kings and Princes attributed to the seven days of the week. This is the grimoire that may have helped to defeat the Spanish Armada in an epic battle that shaped the course of the British Empire for centuries, and the only portion of the Enochian magical system that Dee himself assembled into a grimoire structure. Based on the workings my magical group has done with the "Heptarchia", it contains an extremely powerful and relatively unexplored system of magick.

Some of the information that will appear in the book consists of updated versions of material that was first posted here on Augoeides:

* My thoughts on Angelic pronunciation based on Dee's original phonetic notations.
* An overview of my Operant Field method of working with pentagram and hexagram rituals.
* The AOEVEAE Enochian pentagram ritual and the MADRIAX Enochian hexagram ritual.
* Creating magical fields with these two Enochian rituals.
* The NAZ OLPIRT Enochian energy work exercise.
* A completely updated version of my Heptarchial Ritual Template that has been reworked along technical writing lines to accomodate both modern and traditional grimoire practitioners.

In many ways this new version of the template is the section that I'm most excited about. Rather writing the book exclusively for either modern or traditional grimoire magicians, I have indicated where all the modern forms go if you want to use them, but also have included Dee's opening prayers for those who would rather use the grimoire as written and skip the pentagram rituals and so forth. Along with the template I include my own hand-drawn talisman designs that I use for the Kings and Princes, Dee's conjurations, modified versions of the original Christian prayers that are appropriate for Thelemic practitioners, and a number of other tweaks to the system that I have found to be very effective over the years.

I'm looking forward to the release of the book and I hope that many of you will be interested in checking it out. I'll post another update with a link as soon as it becomes available.

Professional Psychics Fail Scientific Experiment

Professional Psychics Fail Scientific Experiment
Was this a fair experiment? Perhaps the laboratory setting suppresses psychic abilities. The BBC reports:

The test by researchers at Goldsmiths, University of London, tried to establish whether mediums could use psychic abilities to identify something about five unseen volunteers. The results, carried out under test conditions, did not show evidence of any unexplained powers of insight.

The experiment asked two professional mediums to write something about five individuals who were concealed behind a screen. These five volunteers were then asked to try to identify themselves from these psychic readings - with a success rate of only one in five. This was a result that was "entirely consistent with the operation of chance alone", said Professor French.

But one of the mediums, Patricia Putt, rejected the suggestion that this showed any absence of psychic powers - saying that she needed to work face-to-face with people or to hear their voice, so that a connection could be established. "Psychic energy" was not likely to work in the setting created for the experiment, she said.

Psychic

Psychic
A psychic, also called sensitive is a person who professes an ability to perceive information hidden from the normal senses through extrasensory perception, or is said by others to have such abilities. It is also used to describe theatrical performers who use techniques such as prestidigitation and cold reading to produce the appearance of such abilities.

It can also denote an ability of the mind to influence the world physically and to the telekinetic powers professed by those such as Uri Geller. Psychics appear regularly in fiction and science fiction, such as the The Dead Zone by Stephen King, or Jean Grey from the Marvel comic book universe. A large industry exists whereby psychics provide advice and counsel to clients.

Some famous contemporary psychics include Miss Cleo, and John Edward. Critics attribute psychic powers to intentional trickery or self-delusion. In 1988 the U.S. National Academy of Sciences gave a report on the subject that concluded there is "no scientific justification from research conducted over a period of 130 years for the existence of parapsychological phenomena.

" In a 1990 survey of members of that organization, 4% of respondents agreed that extrasensory perception had been scientifically demonstrated, or that it happened sometimes. Asked about research in the field, 22% would discourage it, 63% would allow but not encourage it, and 10% would encourage it. The word psychic is derived from the Greek word psychikos ("of the mind" or "mental") and refers in part to the human mind or psyche (ex.

"psychic turmoil"
). French astronomer and spiritualist Camille Flammarion is credited as having first used the word psychic, while it was later introduced to the English language by Edward William Cox in the 1870s. Early seers and prophets Elaborate systems of divination and fortune-telling date back to ancient times.

Perhaps the most widely-known system of early civilization fortune-telling was astrology, where practitioners believed the relative positions of celestial bodies could lend insight into people's lives and even predict their future circumstances. Some fortune-tellers were said to be able to make predictions without the use of these elaborate systems (or in conjunction with them), through some sort of direct apprehension or vision of the future.

These people were known as seers or prophets, and in later times as clairvoyants and psychics. Seers formed a functionary role in early civilization, often serving as advisors, priests, and judges.[10] A number of examples are included in biblical accounts. The book of 1 Samuel (Chapter 9) illustrates one such functionary task when Samuel is asked to locate the donkeys of the future king Saul.

[11] The role of prophet appeared perennially in ancient cultures. In Egypt, the priests of Ra at Memphis acted as seers. In ancient Assyria seers were referred to as nabu, meaning "to call" or "announce". The Delphic Oracle is one of the earliest stories in classical antiquity of prophetic abilities.

The Pythia, the priestess presiding over the Oracle of Apollo at Delphi, was believed to be able to deliver prophecies inspired by Apollo during rituals beginning in the 8th century BC.[12] It is often said that the Pythia delivered oracles in a frenzied state induced by vapors rising from the ground, and that she spoke gibberish, believed to be the voice of Apollo, which priests reshaped into the enigmatic prophecies preserved in Greek literature.

Other scholars believe records from the time indicate that the Pythia spoke intelligibly, and gave prophecies in her own voice. The Pythia was a position served by a succession of women probably selected from amongst a guild of priestesses of the temple. The last recorded response was given in 393 AD, when the emperor Theodosius I ordered pagan temples to cease operation.

Recent geological investigations raise the possibility that ethylene gas caused the Pythia's state of inspiration. One of the most enduring historical references to what some consider to be psychic ability is the prophecies of Michel de Nostredame (1503 - 1566), often Latinized to Nostradamus, published during the French Renaissance period.

Nostradamus was a French apothecary and seer who wrote collections of prophecies that have since become famous worldwide and have rarely been out of print since his death. He is best known for his book Les Propheties, the first edition of which appeared in 1555. Taken together, his written works are known to have contained at least 6,338 quatrains or prophecies, as well as at least eleven annual calendars.

Most of the quatrains deal with disasters, such as plagues, earthquakes, wars, floods, invasions, murders, droughts, and battles - all undated. Nostradamus is a controversial figure. His many enthusiasts, as well as the popular press, credit him with predicting numerous major world events. Interest in his work is still considerable, especially in the media and in popular culture.

By contrast, most academic scholars maintain that the associations made between world events and Nostradamus' quatrains are largely the result of misinterpretations or mistranslations (sometimes deliberate) or else are so tenuous as to render them useless as evidence of any genuine predictive power.

In addition to the belief that some historical figures were endowed with a predisposition to psychic experiences, some psychic abilities were thought to be available to everyone on occasion. For example, the belief in prophetic dreams was common and persistent in many ancient cultures. Nineteenth century progression Edgar Cayce (1877-1945) was a psychic of the 20th century and made many highly publicized predictions.

In the mid-nineteenth century, Modern Spiritualism became prominent in the United States and the United Kingdom. The movement's distinguishing feature was the belief that the spirits of the dead could be contacted by mediums to lend insight to the living. The movement was fueled in part by anecdotes of psychic powers.

One such person believed to have extraordinary abilities was Daniel Dunglas Home, who gained notoriety during the Victorian period for his reported ability to levitate to a variety of heights and speak to the dead. As the Spiritualist movement grew other comparable groups arose, including the Theosophical Society, which was co-founded in 1875 by Helena Blavatsky (1831-1891).

Theosophy coupled spiritualist elements with Eastern mysticism and was influential in the early 20th century, later influencing the New Age movement during the 1970s. Blavatsky herself claimed numerous psychic powers. Popular culture Belief in psychic abilities In a survey, reported in 1990, of members of the National Academy of Sciences, only 2% of respondents thought that extrasensory perception had been scientifically demonstrated, with another 2% thinking that the phenomena happened sometimes.

Asked about research in the field, 22% thought that it should be discouraged, 63% that it should be allowed but not encouraged, and 10% that it should be encouraged; neuroscientists were the most hostile to parapsychology of all the specialties. A survey of the beliefs of the general United States population regarding paranormal topics was conducted by The Gallup Organization in 2005.

[24] The survey found that 41 percent of those polled believed in extrasensory perception and 26 percent believed in clairvoyance. 31 percent of those surveyed indicated that they believe in telepathy or psychic communication.

You And Your Transits From Hell

You And Your Transits From Hell
I'M HEARING FROM A LOT OF FOLKS - HAVING DARK NIGHTS OF THE SOUL. I can relate. I've had a few myself. Dark nights, dark days. MARS AND SATURN are opposing my natal 9th House Saturn. This tends to put perspective in a chokehold. "Didn't want to breathe that air anyway," says Saturn.

AND THEN SOME TRANSITS ARE LIKE A LONG EXTENDED SCREAM. Or so it feels. Lack of sleep doesn't help either. A friend of mine told me that Uranus through her 12th conjunct her Sun was like someone screaming in her ear. She had headaches every day. And, oh, look at that, PLUTO RETROGRADE IS SQUARING MY CHIRON again.

"WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU'RE IN HELL?" What is there to eat? To drink? ;)

How many HARD ASPECTS FROM OUTER PLANETS does it take to make you wish you'd never been born? I just pulled a card for you: THE CHARIOT. Any Tarot maven or semi-maven knows the Chariot is NOT a card of defeat but one of Victory. Willpower. And that's often the problem, right? You've got no will, power, or willpower left.

My one suggestion for right now (besides talking to a friend who will not judge or silence or "try to make you feel better" - one who will listen, commiserate, not distance him/herself. But be a witness to your pain. Affirm it. Yes, affirm it. "Yes, my love, that really WAS hard. I GET IT."

My suggestion:

DO YOUR WORK. "MARS CONJUNCT SATURN IN SCORPIO". Do your work. Whatever your work is. Even a little bit. A little Saturn. A little effort. A little Mars. A little drive. A little Chariot. YOU DON'T HAVE TO HAVE HOPE. YOU DON'T HAVE TO HAVE FAITH. You don't even have to fake it 'til you make it. But you have to do something. Some Thing. No big picture necessary. No promises of "it will get better." But climb out of the grave one teaspoon of dirt at a time.

MERCURY IS NOW IN VIRGO. TAKE SMALL STEPS. SMALL ANIMAL STEPS. Be like an animal in the forest. Eat. Drink. Stay warm. Rest. Remember you are loved. Even if the souls who gave birth to you were inadequate in their care for you, there was a moment of joy upon discovering your (potential) existence. There was a smile when heaven smiled. Even if that moment was a moment cut into 1000, it existed. And it still exists now. It is your life-force NOW.

And that's the story, for the moment.

"I still haven't posted full details yet but the TAROT CLINIC will happen. Need to announce the fee and start date and more details- we begin either later this month or very beginning of September. Beginners are welcome but we'll be starting in the middle. I want to talk about REVERSED CARD MEANINGS, and unusual/off the beaten path card meanings (including some from Kabbalistic perspective) go deep into the Celtic Cross and ALSO we'll be creating our own (virtual) Tarot decks. Probably not 78 card decks, perhaps around 10 cards? We'll see. And do readings for each other from THESE! Anyway, it'll be a whole lot of Tarot fun for the Tarot obsessives out there. Also I will welcome YOUR Tarot topics, whatever you are obsessed with! "

I am raising rates a bit starting September 1st. Look here for the latest about my Astro/Tarot readings.

Love and Blessings to all who visit here. Thank you xo
