It's been a lovely day and the scene out there is so atmospheric - a fine haze of white, blending into the landscape, with landmarks appearing through it in part. Much warmer today - minus 18 - and a delight to wander about.
Changed my country today. Geographically I haven't but I work directly for the mother country now, which doesn't alter anything for me personally except that things are a bit more exciting. There's something I'd like to write about this evening but for once I'm not sure how to do it.
Two of the most difficult statements ever written were:
1. Psalm 82:6 - I have said, Ye are gods;
2. Ephesians 6:12 - For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Why so fascinating? Because the closer one gets to the action, the truer these two appear to be.
The Psalm was written by a man - look at the style and tone and yet it was quoted by Jesus [if you can accept this for one moment] but what the hell does it mean? As a Psalm - perhaps not a lot but as something selected for comment by the Deity, quite something indeed:
Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
Uh-huh.
That would have to get you reflecting on the true power of man and would explain why humanism is not only convinced of but knows implicitly that each man has it inside to be a god. But who would have the temerity to try it? Many people - look, for example at the Chinese intention to hold back the heavens so that it won't rain during the Beijing Olympics. Look at Babel. Look at HAARP.
But this attempt, historically, has always comes to naught. Now I wonder why that would be? It seems to suggest someone who can't take no for an answer and will try again and again forever. Someone clinically insane, in other words.
The second quote has been mistranslated in the revisionist RSV and I feel that that's no accident whatsoever. These days it is being taught that it is a sort of earthly wickedness in PMs and Presidents and so on - that man's dark side comes to the fore.
I humbly suggest that that is not what the KJV intended - that the KJV meant precisely what it said. We struggle not against flesh and blood; ipso facto, we struggle against principalities. So, research principalities and there's no ambiguity here, as the term is applied scripturally.
But this is heady stuff.
If you take it through to its logical conclusion, then the enemy in high places is not human. I didn't say it - don't shoot the messenger. But it's definitely written in there. Now this is where those whose interest it is to scorn this notion need only invoke the spectre of Icke's lizards and the logical path stops.
So let's rewind a bit. Read the text yourself. It was written by a fairly austere person according to his other history. So did he suddenly become a nutter for one verse and then go back to being rational once more or was he rational all along?
Let's accept, for the sake of argument, that he was rational the whole time - then what was he saying? What does he know that we don't? Was he referring to high places in Heaven or on earth? Tell you the truth - I'm not sure. Rulers of darkness of this world. But not flesh and blood. So who the hell are they then?
How about the progeny of the Nephalim? That's pretty ancient history. You say it's rubbish? Fair enough - simply show me which ancient documents conclusively disprove the notion? While you're about it, explain to me the Shardana. How about the Egyptian Sobek? The Book of Jasher perhaps? The Book of Enoch? Bonwick's Irish Druids, 1894? The Kundalini?
I'm not saying it is so - how on earth could I know something which happened so long ago? How could you know it didn't?
And what of the other quote - ye are gods? It's clear how JC was using it in John's gospel but what of the quote itself? If you say it was just a throwaway line, then why was it, specifically, resurrected all those centuries later and by this particular Individual?
I see one explanation. Every head of an organization or section becomes, in a way, a little god but is always subject to a higher god, in a bigger pool. John Buchan, mid WW1, said:

I can't comment because I have absolutely no clue. But my own experience certainly bears out that even the highest are subject to someone higher. In the end, on earth, the highest of highs is the one who finances your plans. Where did they get the money?
Been in the family for generations. Fair enough. Where did it originally come from? Why did those particular families get it? Why not mine, for example? With such dangerous thoughts as these, I'm going to suddenly stop.

* This was a difficult one to write... it took me a couple of days. No; not that I revised it a lot. As terrible as this might sound, I don't revise my blog posts. I've told myself that I'll let them out as they come, and then a few months before the end of the witchy year (October) I'll revise the entire blog to correct typos and see how my mind and heart have changed over the months. Today's post took so many days to write because every time I started I got emotional; even last night, right before posting, I got emotional while sharing the occurrence to my Piano Man. Por lo tanto es muy auspicioso educar primero nuestra menta con la presunci'on de que Ustedes son un Ser de Luz Divino e Ilimitado, que su existencia es inherente en Amor y que su Verdad debe ser reflejada m'as tarde o m'as temprano en su propia experiencia!
Simplemente, porque ella ES su Verdad inherente! Esta es la disposici'on que llamamos a cultivar, especialmente en estos tiempos de Grandes Bendiciones Divinas, y lo m'as importante, en tiempos de Grandes Impactos de Luz y Conciencia que desea despertar Ella Misma en sus envases cuerpo-mente. Querid'isimos hermanos y hermanas, todos ustedes quienes desean con su coraz'on ser parte de esta Aventura Divina, no importa en qu'e estadio de la vida est'en o resuenen, porque su Verdad inherente est'a resonando con el Gran Proceso del Despertar.
Y esto tiene que revelarse en su propia Conciencia en corto per'iodo de tiempo. Consideren todas sus dudas concernientes a su propio despertar como f'osiles ego'istas, reflejando la vieja conciencia de las masas de un mundo ilusorio de aparente solidez y rigidez, con un dios externo que est'a separado de su creaci'on.
Osar su propio Despertar es osar su propio Poder Creativo de Co-Creaci'on, es osar su propia Divinidad, es osar la Unidad de toda la Existencia, es osar que s'olo hay Una Luz, es osar que s'olo hay Un Amor y que Todo Es Conciencia. Con esta Fe en su Coraz'on est'an muy bien equipados para recibir su capacidad completa de Bendiciones de los Grandes Eventos que vienen!
La Alegr'ia es la compa~n'ia de esta Fe, y no tiene nada que ver con la religiosidad convencional y la "creencia", sino con la Ley Universal de la Realidad Divina en la cual todos los Serse y Universos participan, consciente o inconscientemente, porque s'olo ES Una la Experiencia. RESONANDO CON EL GRAN PROCESO DEL DESPERTAR

Tonight, I am mostly recovered from my cold but tired from a lack of sleep last night. I really didn't want to work but given that I felt pressure to from who knows where and that it will be unlikely that I will be able to help over the next few days, I gave it a shot.
I sought to aid the anyeursim person with his short-term memory. Some odd things happened.
First of all, I didn't need the Manifestation Meditation to do it. A simple call to my Greater Neschemah was all. Then, I was told I could not aid with the memory issue. Instead, I was show was looked like a ghostly white spiral cloud emanating from the person's head. I moved all around it trying to figure out what it was.
I now believe that was a visual representation of a mentality or spirit that was not focused on this plane. With that realization, a team of people surrounded the man. They seemed to be performing surgery. I asked what was happening.
I was told that I was, "the Will of God." Well, before you get around to think that I think I am the Almighty, allow me to translate. It was much more along the lines that I have the authority to do what? I don't know, create a healing space that draws other healers?
My only analogy comes from I time when I was Praemonstrator of a GD lodge. Something occurred initiatory with a member. That member acknowledged my position and its so-called authority but wasn't exactly a friend. I'm sure this person would not have been comfortable with me doing anything occult in his/her direction. However, I deemed it necessary. I wasn't curious or invading privacy. I was observing the impact of magick.
When I went to this person, I encountered a guardian. It stopped me as it should. Then in no uncertain terms I declared my position and what I was doing. I was immediately allowed to pass.
I think this is similar but different.
The result of this 'surgery' was that the ghostly white light stopped spiraling upwards. Instead, it came out of each side of the head in focused beams. I believe this may allow the person to be more aware of immediate surroundings, time and place.
This fits with my concept that all time happens at once. However, if you had to visualize it, individual time is vertical and interacting time is horizontal. Someday, I will post on that.
The other odd thing about the healing was that I could not see the surgery. It was just one big bright white light emitting from the head. The surgeons knew what they were doing though. I left them alone. I did nothing.
I also worked on the pre-diabetic.

The 3rd International Conference on the History of Freemasonry opened today at the George Washington Masonic Memorial in Alexandria, VA. It is the largest international gathering of both Freemasons and academics on the subject of Masonry and history. Alice and I were both slated to present papers, but my bout with stomach cancer put an end to our travel for several months. All things being equal, we'd much rather be in Virginia today. I attended the two previous conferences in Scotland, and it's a dirty trick that I can't be at the one in the U.S. Dammit.
If you are attending, please stop by the Masonic Society table in the Marketplace area, and if you aren't a member, consider signing up. Also, because the Conference does not publish the papers, if you are a presenter, I'd like to take the opportunity to invite you to submit your paper to the Journal of the Masonic Society for publication.
The Conference runs today through Sunday. Lacking my own boots on the ground, I'm hoping someone there will take lots of notes and photos and share them.
One maddening statistic: organizers tell me there were only about 200 attendees signed up this year, and over half of them are the presenters themselves. The Conference was well publicized for at least a year, and It is astonishing to me that the North American Masonic community did not step up and support this incredible event with larger numbers. A poor turnout like this will undoubtedly result in no strong desire of the organizers to return to these shores anytime in the near future.
How we do so love to take careful aim at our own foot and blast away with both barrels.
