Annunaki And Bible Stories

Annunaki And Bible Stories

By Anuatlantian

Posted by book-of-thoth.com

There is a Creator. A celestial God that is The Creator Of All Beginning. A universal Cosmic God all Mankind should call THE CREATOR.

The Anunnaki believe in God they call The Creator Of All Beginning. In their story there is an emissary of the king, stepping off a celestial chariot named Galzu that guides them in thier destiny. He later appears in a dream to Enki, and again in a dream to Enlil.

In the end King Anu from Nibiru, not knowing of Galzu, made them all realize that Galzu may have been an emissary (Angel) of The Creator Of All. That it was their destiny to come to Earth and give birth to Humanity. That they were all unwitting emissaries. The guardians to protect all life on Earth. As we are here now to protect and preserve life. The guardians from The Creator Of All.

In knowing the stories of the Bible, then knowing The stories of The Anunnaki who came to earth from the 10th planet Nibiru, you will see the stories are similar. Thier monuments still on earth and the description of the planets and gravity, The thousands of records on Tablets found in Mesopotamia, thier mapping of the constellations shows very real thier posible existence.

The Bible and Anunnaki stories

In the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth and all life on Earth, man and woman, in 7 days resting on the 7th day. The garden of Eden where 4 rivers meet Pishon, Gihon, Tigress, Euphrates.

In the Anunnaki version the Anunnaki Enki lands on Earth with 50 Anunnaki Hero's and established Eridu in the Edin in 7 days making the 7th day a rest day. the Edin where 4 rivers meet. ( Mesopotamia, Iraq )

And God said let us make man in our image and in our likeness. God made Man from the dust of the Earth, and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life and the man came to be a living soul. He called the man Adam

The Birth From The Anunnaki Of (Adamu and TiAmat).First Generation Earth humans.-The Anunnaki toiled the Gold mines for 80 shars, over 300,000 years before creating worker helpers in thier image and thier likeness. - Ningishzidda ( Enki's son ) engineers Anunnaki male human essence DNA with the oval egg of Homoerectus female in a vesel made from the clay of the Earth (like test tube baby) and inserts it into the womb of Ninmah(Ninharsag). Ninmah gives birth to Adamu. Same thing but for a girl, Enki inserts it into Damkina (Enki's spouse,Alalu's Daughter). Damkina gives birth to Tiamat. ADAMU ">The Nephilim of Genesis

When men began to multiply on earth and daughters were born to them, the sons of heaven saw how beautiful the daughters of man were, and so they went and took wives for themselves as many of them as they chose.

Then God said: "My spirit shall not remain in man forever, since he is but flesh. His days shall amount to one hundred and twenty years."

At that time the Nephilim appeared on earth (and also after that), after the sons of heaven had intercourse with the daughters of man, who bore them sons. They were mighty men, the heroes of old, the men of renown(fame).

The Fallen Angels of The Book of Enoch

The book of Enoch, a book not chosen to be in the bible for its details of the fallen angels of Genesis. The Watchers of heaven. There were 200 angels lead by thier leader Shamjaza, decsended from heaven to earth and took wives and had offspring(the giants) and taught them many things and secrets of the heavens. The giant sons caused destruction and bloodshed. Other Angels restore order.

The Anunnaki igigi, (The Fallen Angels, Those Who Watch, Watchers)

The Anunnaki Stationed on Mars(igigi) were The Fallen Angels Story (like The Book Of Enoch ) Later 600 Anunnaki on Earth. On Lahmu (Mars) 300 as a way station for the gold to Nibiru. Shamgaz, leader of 200 of The igigi (Anunnaki on Mars) descended to Earth to a wedding of Marduke and Sarpanit, a daughter of Enkimi(Enoch), an Earth woman. After the ceremony the 200 igigi abducted women and demanded the same to have wives and have offspring with them. Offspring Also 3rd Generation Earth Humans

Story of the Flood of Noah

God tells Noah to build an Ark and cover it inside and outside with tar. After it was built. God said to bring into it all the animals male and female for in 7 more days I am making it rain upon the earth for 40 days and 40 nights.

Story of the Flood of Ziusudra (Noah)

Galzu the Anunnaki emissary appears in a dream to Enki with a tablet of a blue print of the Ark for Ziusudra to build and save himself, his wife, three sons Shem, Ham, Yafet, their families, and all the animals and dna. Enki awakens to find the tablet has manifested and is with him. Not breaking an oath not to tell anyone of the coming deluge by Nibiru's coming and gravitational pull causing this event, Enki speaks to Ziusudra through a reed hut leaving the tablet to find.

The Deluge Flood of Noah

God opens the flood gates of heaven and it rains for 40 days and 40 nights. After the flood the Ark rests on the mountain of Ararat. Noah exits the Ark and gives an offering lamb on a fire in praise.

The Deluge Flood of Ziusudra ( Noah )

The Anunnaki home planet Nibiru, 10th in the Solar System enters the inner Solar System every 3600 years near the astroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. On its long eliptical orbit it leaves to the far outer Solar System. Depending on where the Planets are the very large redish planet Nibiru can cause gravitational disturbance to the other Planets. The Anunnaki on Earth with instruments detected a crossing of Nibiru with the Earth orbiting too close feeling the force of Nibiru's great gravitational pull shaking the Antartic ice sheet loose.

Nibiru's gravitational pull caused the Antarctic ice sheet to slide into the sea causing a Super Tidal Wave to sweep over the Earth. Then the ice Crystals over the stratosphere that blocked cosmic rays at that time melted and it rained for 40 days and 40 nights.

The Anunnaki, Enki, Enlil, Ninmah, and thier families, taking off circling the Earth on thier Celestial Chariot sky ships to outwait the flood. Marduke, Sarpanit, 2 sons, and The igigi Anunnaki and Thier families, on Lahmu (Mars) outwait the deluge. Nannar request to outwait the Deluge on Kingu (the Moon).

Ninagal ( Enki's son ) selected by Enki to join Ziusudra to navagate the Ark to the mountains of Arata(Ararat), bringing with him the life essences DNA and life eggs of the animals collected by Enki and Ninmah in a box of Cedar wood.

Also across the great sea descendants of Ka-in (American Indians)Survived the Deluge on Rafts built. Two brothers and two sisters were the leaders. By the will of the Creator of all, mankind was to survive.

The Ark Lands on the mountain of Arata. Ziusudra exits the Ark and gives an offering lamb on a fire in praise.

After The Flood Deluge

The Tower of Babel story

The people got together and said; let us make bricks baked by fire so that they serve as stone. Use bitumen(tar) for motar. Let us build in the city a Tower that its top reach the heavens. And God came down to see the city and the Tower.

And God said; Look they are as one people, and they have one language and this is what they do. Now nothing they will do that will be impossible for them. Come let us go down and there confuse thier language that thet may not understand one anothers language. And God scattered them all over the face of the Earth and they stopped building the city.

The Tower to Heaven

Marduke takes land, shows his followers brick making. and to use fire so that they may serve as stone. and Builds a tower.

Marduke is building An unpermited gateway to heaven.(a stargate). If this we allow to happen, no other matter of Mankind shall be unreached. This evil plan must be stopped! Ninurta said; all with that agreed. It was nighttime when the Enlilite Anunnaki came, From thier skyships with fire and brimstone the tower they rained and destroyed. The followers they spread across the land. Enlil in each region and every land the people a different tounge he made to speak. a different form of writing he made that the other would not understand.

Story of Abraham, ( God tells Abraham; I will make a Great Nation out of you.)

Abraham, decsended from Noah's son Shem, is chosen by God. For Abraham's future grandson jacob, later named israel, will have 12 sons that will be the families of the 12 tribes of the Nation of israel.

Story of ibruUm (Abraham)

Galzu again appears to Enlil in a dream to chose a man to be saved (a descendant of Shem, named ibruUm (Abraham) from a calamity. A war amongst the Anunnaki themselves, inanna against Marduke for causing of the death of her love Dumuzi. The weapons of terror never reach mardukes domain.

The Story of Moses

Moses chosen by God to recieve his covenant, the Tablets of The Ten Commandments, The Tablets of the word of God. He goes to the Mountain of God and is there 40 days and 40 nights. The Tablets are put in a Golden Box, The Golden Ark of The Covenant.

Endubsar ( like Moses )- Master Scribe chosen by Enki to scribe the words of Enki, and for 40 days and 40 nights scribed Enki's words of the history of The Anunnaki from the Story of the Solar System, The history of The Anunnaki on thier home Planet Nibiru. The destiny of The Anunnaki to Earth, and The Anunnaki history here on Earth. Scribed on sky blue Lapis Lazuli Stone Tablets placed in a Acacia wood chest inlaid with Gold outside (Like the Ark of the Covernant). Not one word missed not one word added. - The Tablets of The Anunnaki - The Lost Book Of Enki

The emissary Angel of The Creator In The End

King Anu from Nibiru not knowing of Galzu, made them all realize that Galzu may have been an emissary (Angel) of The Creator Of All. That it was their destiny to come to Earth and give birth to Humanity. That they were all unwitting emissaries. The guardians to protect all life on Earth. As we are here now to protect and preserve life. The guardians from The Creator Of Heaven.

Does The Bible Contain Contradictions Part Three

Does The Bible Contain Contradictions Part Three
The Bible, number one bestseller since Gutenberg's printing press, written by forty authors - kings, shepherds, tax collectors, doctors, historians, priests, prophets, fishermen, tent makers, across three different continents - Africa, Europe, and Asia - over a span of approximately 1600 years. The sixty six As with the previous two entries in this mini-series, the "contradictions" or "discrepancies" found within are derived from the "Skeptic's Annotated Bible," an atheistic site dedicated to finding everything that the atheist disagrees with in the Bible. While we commend the site for including a "good stuff" section and more often than not including Christian apologist's responses after discussing an alleged contradiction, much of these so-called contradictions are nothing more than mere theological misunderstanding, or something that the skeptic disagrees with, and based on his worldview, decrees it to be a contradiction, even though it is not. Understand that this mini-series is not about answering every single allegation found on the "Skeptic's Annotated Bible" website, but about examining and reviewing some of these supposed contradictions to provide a general idea of how these are easily reconcilable, or are at least explainable.

One such "contradiction" is as follows: the skeptic asks, "When were the stars made?" Citing "Genesis 1:16-19", "He also made the stars. God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth... And there was evening, and there was morning - the fourth day." The skeptic proceeds to cite "Job 38:4-7", "Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation? Tell me, if you understand. Who marked its dimensions? Surely you know! Who stretched a measuring line across it? On what were its footings set, or who laid it cornerstone - while the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy?" The contradiction is alleged as such: "Genesis" states that the stars were made on Day 4 of Creation Week, yet "Job" appears to be saying that stars existed before the earth was made. Does this not present a clear contradiction?

"

Photo
Understand that when God utilized the phrase "while the morning stars sang together..." He was employing figurative language, as you will find in much of "Job". Consider "Job 38:30", "Can you bind the chains of the Pleiades? Can you loosen Orion's belt?" Here, God is referring to Pleiades, an open star cluster which contains hot B-type stars in the Taurus constellation, whereas Orion's belt is actually a constellation. It is evident that God did not literally mean for Job to answer about the star cluster or constellation, because God utilized these examples to illustrate His power, His majesty, and How we cannot, as humans, accomplish these things. Now, when we look at "while the morning stars sang together," ask yourself - do clusters of gas, i.e. stars, sing in space? Not likely. The text of "Job 38" is referring to the glory of God's creation.

"The 'morning stars' are the brightest and most glorious of the stars, of outstanding beauty as they declare the coming of the morning. Here the Lord uses them figuratively to declare the beginning of creation, or the morning of creation. The fact that the stars were created on the fourth day does not preclude them from singing together the praise of God at the laying of the foundation of the earth. Have you ever had a wonderful idea, and you played out in your mind beforehand how things would work. You visualized the steps you would take, the successes you would attain, the goals and rewards which would come. God in His foreknowledge could surely envision the praises of His creation (Psalm 19:1; 148:3). The difference between the Lord anticipating such things, and us fantasizing of how and when our plans will come to fruition is that He knew that it would be so. We can only speculate when it comes to our plans."

Another alleged contradiction involves Noah and the Ark. "How many of each clean animal did Noah take on the ark?" The skeptic cites "Genesis 6:19", "Of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, Genesis 7:8-9, 15", "Of clean beast and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowl... there went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God commanded Noah," and "Genesis 7:2", "Of every clean beast thou shalt take thee by sevens, the male and his female." At first glance, these verses appear to present a contradiction: was it two of every kind, or seven of every kind? First of all, regardless, there was plenty of space on the Ark - this is covered in another entry. But did Moses, in writing the account of the Global Flood, write a contradiction?

Look at verses 8 and 9. The NIV translation conveys, "Pairs of clean and unclean animals, of birds and all of the creatures that move along the ground, male and female, came to Noah and entered the Ark." The translation used by the skeptic uses "two by two." Understand that here, Moses is not recording how many of each kind ("baramin") went onto the ark, but that as they entered the ark, the entered in an orderly fashion: two by two. In verse 2, God tells Noah to bring two of every unclean animal, and seven pairs of every clean animal (seven groupings of two - seven males, seven females). The NIV translation of "Genesis 7:2" records, "Take with you seven pairs of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and one pair of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate." No contradiction exists, merely a misreading of the text.

Another supposed contradiction concerns the "foundations of the earth. What does the earth set upon?" Quoting "Job 26:7", "He spreads out the northern skies over empty space, He suspends the earth over nothing." However, "1st Samuel 2:8" says, "The pillars of the earth are the LORD's, and he hath set the world upon them," and" Job 9:6" conveys, "He shakes the earth from its place and makes its pillars tremble. Job 34:8" also says, "Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if thou hast understanding." Does this present a contradiction? First, we ought to note that "Job 26:7", which was written ca.1445-1405 BC, most likely by Moses, states, "He suspends the earth over nothing," indicating free float of the earth in space, yet at that time in science and astronomy, the commonly accepted idea was that the Earth sat on a large animal. Note also that" Isaiah 40:22" records that the Earth is a sphere, whereas scientific thought of the time believed it to be a flat disk.

From these two verses, we can determine that the Earth is round and that it hangs upon nothing, essentially free floating in space. "Job 26:10" also states that God "inscribed" a circle on the surface of the waters at the boundary of light and darkness. The boundary is a circle, and this is where evening and morning occur - the boundary of the earth, which, as noted in both Isaiah and Job, is a circle. Now that we understand this, does the Bible contain a contradiction when it mentions the "pillars of the earth?" It is possible for the Earth to hang upon nothing and yet still have foundations laid for it. Know and understand that the Bible, when referring to God having "laid the foundations of the earth" is not stating that the Earth sits upon pavement, or a pedestal, but it is referring to the creation of the world. Young's Literal Translation reads, "Where wast thou when I founded the earth? Declare, if thou hast known understanding" ("Job 38:4"). No contradiction exists, but a misunderstanding of a literary device.

Regarding Paul's conversion, the skeptic asks, "Did those with Saul at his conversion hear a voice?", and proceeds to claim that "Acts 9:7" and "22:9" contradict. "Acts 9:7" says, "The men traveling with Saul stood there speechless; they heard the sound but did not see anyone. Acts 22:9" says, "My companions saw the light, but they did not understand the voice of Him who was speaking to me." However, Saul was not converted on the Road to Damascus. This is a misconception, in "Acts 9:6" Saul is told to enter the city and await instruction, "Acts 9:9" records that he was in a miserable, blind state for three days, and finally, when Ananias came in "Acts 9:17", then Saul became Paul, and was baptized with the Holy Spirit, but was not saved until after he was baptized for his sins (see "Acts 22:16"). Now that we are sure of the order of events, recognize that Dr. Luke, who wrote both "Luke" and "Acts", notes in "Acts 9" that the companions heard a voice, but when we read Paul's summary of the event on the road in "Acts 22", he appears to indicate that the companions did not hear a voice.

Simply put, the companions heard the noise of the voice, as if hearing someone in another room through a thick wall, but did not hear the actual words that were spoken. This is not improbable either, as Dr. Luke never specifies that the men heard the voices - merely that they heard the voice. "A similar situation is found in John 12:28-29, where Jesus said, 'Father, glorify your name.' Then a voice came from heaven, saying, 'I have both glorified it and will glorify it again.' Therefore the people who stood by and heard it said that it had thundered. Others said, 'An angel has spoken to Him.' The people heard the voice of the Lord, but they did not hear the words that were spoken. Likewise, Paul's companions heard the voice, but they did not hear what the voice said. There is no contradiction."

Concerning the trial of Jesus, the question arises, "Was Jesus silent during his trial before Pilate?" The skeptic cites "Matthew 27:12-14", "And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing. Then said Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee? And he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marveled greatly," and "Mark 15:3-5", "The chief priests accused him of many things: but he answered nothing. And Pilate asked him again, saying, Answerest thou nothing? behold how many things they witness against thee. But Jesus yet answered nothing; so that Pilate marvelled." These two passages indicate Jesus was silent. The skeptic then quotes "John 18:33-38":

"

Scene from The Passion of The Christ (2004)"

"Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews? Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me? Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done? Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all." Lastly, he cites "1st Timothy 6:13", "I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession."

We ought to also point out "Isaiah 53:7", the very prophecy which stated, "He was oppressed and afflicted, yet He did not open His mouth; He was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so He did not open His mouth." This prophecy did not specify that Jesus would not open his mouth at all, merely that at one point in His trial, He would remain silent. In past entries, we have examined cases where an event is mentioned by one gospel writer but not by another. This is not necessarily a bad thing, because if all four Gospels were exactly the same, we would 1) have no point in using all four, 2) know for certain that the four worked together to corroborate a fabricated story, and 3) would seriously question the Gospels. Thankfully, the Gospels are not all the same, and though they include material from one or the other, it is a good thing, providing multiple attestation instead of multiple trickery, if you will.

Matthew provides details of the trial, whereas John goes more in detail. But does a contradiction exist? "Matthew 27:14" does say that Jesus did not answer Pilate, but in verse 12 we read, "When he was accused by the chief priests and the elders, he gave no answer." It is this context that "Matthew" goes on to say in verse 14, "But Jesus made no reply, not even a single charge - to the great amazement of the governor." Pilate expected Jesus to defend Himself, yet He remained silent, "He did not open His mouth" ("Isaiah 53:7"). With this understanding, reviewing "John 18", we determine that this conversation with Pilate was private, whereas the one recorded in "Matthew 27" was in front of the "chief priests and elders." These two passages record two distinct events:" Matthew 27" records Jesus in front of Pilate and the chief priests and elders, whereas "John 18" records Jesus and Pilate in a private conversation, not in front of the chief priests and elders. In "John 18:33" Pilate entered the Praetorium, and in verse 38, "he went out again to the Jews gathered there..." No contradiction exists.

In the next - and final - entry of this mini-series, we will examine and review several other alleged contradictions, and determine: does the Bible actually contain contradictions? Thank you for taking the time to read this entry of "The Truth," The Truth Ministries recognizes that not everyone will agree with our conclusions nor will they accept our stance on Biblical truth, however, feel free to email vexx801@yahoo.com (but we ask that you remain civil) or The Truth Ministries team at thetruth.ministryweb@gmail.com, visit our facebook page, or visit the ministry's main website. Letter To The Florida Pagan Community

Letter To The Florida Pagan Community By Peter Dybing
GREETINGS BROTHERS, SISTERS AND KIN,

Our community has endured much over that last several months, from Pagans having their membership in Masonic lodges revoked, to attacks on the home of a Pagan author to recent threats of protests. Through this entire process the community has banded together, shown support and presented the face of our community as one of love, acceptance and support for our community members.

In just a few days the Okeechobee Summer Solstice Festival will take place in Pahokee Florida. It is natural that the surrounding controversy has caused some concern as to what will take place during this event. I am writing you all to encourage you to take part in this event even if only by obtaining a day pass.

Festival organizers have spent hundreds of hours organizing, engaging the local community, law enforcement and manifesting a wonderful schedule of events. The Lady Liberty League has made much progress in assuring the community that the event will bring a positive impact on the city.

There is no evidence that there is any potential for serious confrontation during this event. The best way to show support for the cause of Pagan rights is to attend the festival. If we as a community allow these few individuals stirring controversy to affect the attendance at this event we will have seeded ground in the struggle for religious liberty.

This is going to be a grand event, great music, great workshops, and great community. Even if you were not considering attending, please consider a day pass and show your support for the free expression of religious liberty for all Americans.

In Support of our Florida Pagan Community,

Peter Dybing

Iniciao Na Wicca E Autoiniciao

Iniciao Na Wicca E Autoiniciao
O QUE 'e A INICIAc~aO?

O QUE 'e PRECISO PARA ALCANcAR A INICIAc~aO?

O QUE 'e E COMO FUNCIONA A DEDICAc~aO?

Quem 'e a Deusa? Quem 'e o Deus? O que 'e a Lei Tr'iplice? Quais os Rituais que devem ser realizados? Por que? Onde?

Announcing The Pagan Baby Reunion

Announcing The Pagan Baby Reunion
Today Sister Saint Aloysius and I were going through the couch cushions and coat pockets and everywhere else we could think of looking for loose change. Money is tight at the convent even though Sister Mary Fiacre doesn't eat much. Truth be told she eats like a horse, we just don't feed her much. Lets' face it, she doesn't need the fuel. She would continue eating as long as there is food in front of her.

Anyhow, this being Sunday, we were looking for a little money with which to tithe, when I ran across a medal in a box on the shelf. I had forgotten that we ever had such a thing, but here it is. The pagan baby medal. You can see the Pope himself blessing two former pagans right on there. Don't they all look happy? And so well groomed. We used to give these to the children whenever they bought a pagan baby.

All the children would put their loose change in a can on Sister's desk. Each pagan baby cost five dollars. When we got five dollars the children would pick a name for the pagan baby, send the five dollars to the priest at the mission who would snatch the baby from an eternity of suffering and baptize it with the name we sent along. Then we got a certificate and the children got a medal. All for 5. Sally Struthers, eat your heart out.

I've lost count of how many pagan babies we have purchased from the jaws of hell over the years. Roughly ten each year in each class room, 3 classrooms to a grade level (during the baby boom), first through eighth grades (the kindegarteners used their nickels for milk, the older kids can get rickets and offer it up). I might need a slide rule here...if each classroom was saving at least ten pagan babies, then our school alone would have grabbed 240 little souls away from an eternal life with Mr. Satan, (formerly St. Lucifer). Over how many years? I've lost track. And at how many Catholic schools across the country or even the world? Mind boggling.

But that's a boat load of pagan babies. We may have run out of names. We may have had pagan babies named "Chip" and "Jessica" or "Smiley".

I got to thinking about all those former pagan babies when it struck me! We need to have a pagan baby reunion! I did meet an actual former pagan baby once. He had become a priest, so the system really, really worked.

So tell everyone! Log in here at Sister Mary Martha and make yourselves known. We know you're out there! We'll have a party! We'll have cake...unless Sister Mary Fiacre gets her mitts into it. She'll eat the whole thing.

What Is Hermetics

What Is Hermetics

By Jill Lowy

What on earth is Hermetics? Most people I know have never heard of it, though most have heard of the term "hermetically sealed". It is very difficult to encapsulate what Hermetics exactly is. It is kind of like trying to define what magic or mysticism is, as it is very nebulous.

Hermetics is basically the study and science of magic, alchemy, and astrology. The word "hermetic" is derived from the Greek work "herm" and the deity, "Hermes", who was the Greek God of knowledge and wisdom. The term "hermetically sealed" means "airtight" and was needed for the alchemical processes of distillation and purification.

Early Hermetic writings emerged around the 2nd century CE with developing Christianity. It revolved around a compilation of
"Truth without falsehood, certain and most true, that which is above is the same as that which is below, and that which is without is the same as that which is within, for the performance of the miracles of the One Thing. And as all things are from One by the mediation of One, so all things have their birth from this One Thing by adaptation.

The Sun is its Father, the Moon its' Mother. The Wind carries it in its' belly, and its nurse is the Earth. This is the Father of all perfection or consummation of the whole world. Its' power is integrating if it be turned into earth. Thou shall separate the earth from the fire, the subtle from the gross, suavely and with great skill and ingenuity. It ascends from the earth to heaven and descends again to earth, and receives the power of the superiors and all the inferiors.

So thou hast the glory of the whole world; therefore let all obscurity flee before thee. This is the strong force of all forces, overcoming every subtle and penetrating every solid thing. So the world was created. Hence we are all wonderful adaptations of which this is the manner. Therefore am I called Hermes Trismegistus, having the three parts of the philosophy of the whole world. This completes what I have to say concerning the Operation of the Sun."

Probably, the most famous Hermetic quote cited from the Emerald Tablet is "That which is above is the same as that which is below and that which is without is the same as that which is within." This is really the basis for all Hermetic or magical operations and defines a correspondence between the microcosm (ourselves) and the macrocosm (universe). What is happening within us is connected to what is happening around us. By learning about ourselves, we can learn about the universe and conversely, by learning about the universe, we can learn about ourselves. Everything is connected to everything else in the universe. And because everything is connected to everything else, that is why, magic, alchemy and astrology are possible.

Hermetics is also an oral tradition. The esoteric teachings are handed down from teacher to disciple, even in this day and age. Though, Hermetic teachers may be hard to find. Probably the best text for the practical aspects of Hermetic principles is Initiation into Hermetics by Franz Bardon. In this work, we see the philosophical, psychological and practical applications of Hermetics clearly outlined to help guide the aspirant towards self understanding and universal awareness.

I am a Hermetic. I was initiated into the Hermetic tradition at Lotus Temple in Chicago, Illinois many years ago. I have studied and practiced Hermetic principles in my daily life. It is amazing to see how these principles work in reality. Today's scientists scoff at the notion of magic, alchemy or astrology as silly superstition. But there are many questions being raised in the field of quantum physics regarding the nature of reality and consciousness itself.

Matter, when closely observed is not as solid as it appears. It is composed of millions of swirling atoms, protons and electrons that are moving in a magnetic field. Looking closer still, there are even smaller quantum particles that alternative between existing as a wave and particle. And, it has been found that our consciousness has an effect on these particles. There is a connection between the observer and the observed, between our inner universe and the outer universe. I think as time goes by, science will have another look at the ancient esoteric arts and see them in a new light.

I have witnessed the application of Hermetic principles in my own life. I have experienced amazing phenomenon from materialization and control of the elements to exploration of the inner planes through astral projection. Many people have witnessed miracles and magic in their own lives. It is not fantasy or the exuberant imagination of storytellers. Hermetics is a spiritual discipline where the laws of the universe are studied and applied to explore the microcosm and the macrocosm towards ultimate Self-realization. Inscribed in the forecourt of the Temple of Apollo at Delphi was the phrase, "Know Thy Self". This is the heart of the Hermetic quest.

A Word On Guides

A Word On Guides
What are spiritual guides? Who are they? Who has them? What are the advantages and disadvantages of having Spiritual Guides? How do we validate they are who they say they are and how accurate is the information they provide?

Are guides nothing more than astral predators who provide snippets of information for us to trust and become reliant on their connection to us? Since we are spirit ourselves why not rely on our own judgement and connections instead of giving our power away to an outside force.

When spirit guides are seen. Could it not be a simple mind game technique by the entity to make themselves appear in a form acceptable to us?

Julia Roberts Im Definitely A Practicing Hindu

Julia Roberts Im Definitely A Practicing Hindu

Posted by Christine Pack

Julia Roberts, who stars in the upcoming movie Eat, Pray, Love - which presents a sort of "Americanized" version of Hinduism - recently said in an interview that she is now a practicing Hindu.

Only in America could we find a way to romanticize the core theology of Hinduism to the point that it looks appealing - when in reality it is a religion of despair. The "Americanized" form of Hinduism, however, as artfully put forth in Eat, Pray, Love, "feels" very good to the sinful flesh. As a friend of mine pointed out...food binges, Eastern spirituality, and free love? Please! "So" much more appealing than the biblical concepts of crucifying the flesh, dying daily to self, and laying down one's life.

Julia Roberts needs to read Out of India by Caryl Matrisciana to get an understanding of the underlying ugliness and despair of true Hinduism. Writer and producer Caryl Matrisciana was born and raised in India, and witnessed first-hand the devastating effects of Hindu thought and beliefs on the culture around her. The goal of Hinduism is for its practitioners to realize that one's soul is identical to Brahman, the "Supreme Soul." Or, in layman's terms...we are all "god," which is the core theology of the New Age.

But, UNTIL a Hindu attains this knowledge, they are, according to eastern belief (Hinduism/Buddhism), trapped in the cycle of birth, life, death and rebirth (reincarnation)...a theology which leads to utter despair.

We've written before about the fact that the New Age, that "dated" 80s movement starring Shirley MacLaine running down the beach with her crystals clanking, never really went away, it just became absorbed into our culture. New convert and "practicing Hindu" Julia Roberts has just proved this point...in spades. Hinduism and New Age Spirituality are here to stay.

Art As Prayer

Art As Prayer
Muse Serenita is adapted from college self-portrait. The lips are a little puffed, but the eyes are mine. Serenita is contemplative and serene at peace with life at an early age. She calms the ever-frenzied Cre8Tiva. Everyone loves to spend time with her because she makes you feel acknowledged because she really listens to you.

I will admit, up front, that I have been negligent...I have broken a promise to myself to draw one face each day this year...I have broken my life-long sacred habit of journaling each day...I have not, as yet, even begun to unpack my studio...

I understand that most people would gently advise me to take it easy on myself during this overwhelming upheaval and transition period of my life...but I have committed a far greater act of negligence...my art...

Art is prayer for me...I was put on this earth to create...and to neglect that life task, even for one moment...does grievous harm to my sacred self and possibly the universe and my place in it...

It may seem melodramatic...but I have known for most of my life what I was supposed to do...my purpose on this planet...I believe that artists are blessed because most of us understand where our path leads at a young age...and, if in tune enough,we begin the journey early in life...some lose the way because of outside influences or pressures, but most eventually find their way back to their sacred art, whatever form...

To be away from my most connected form of communication...with God, with others, with myself...is too much to bear...no wonder I feel disconnected, unbalanced, alone...

Today I tackle the studio...I will paint even if I only can find one color and no brush...I will recapture the form of prayer that keeps me centered and my life complete... Serenita will listen as I return to my purpose...

I have a secret to share...I am developing a new series of workshops called Art as Prayer...I even have the website here...only the cover page is active...the workshops will focus on creating a visual vocabulary for personal centering prayer...the creation of intuitive art guided by the Holy Spirit...and much more...

I have many other secrets to share in the near future but, for now, they are too fragile to let into the world...I have a long to-do list...

"Today's aMUSEment - Sit for a few minutes in prayer to your God...then pick up a brush and paint whatever feels right...let go...don't over think anything...paint intuitively...see what develops...and then share with us..."

U Be Creative Today!

The Folly Of Seeking Premonitions In Sacred Texts

The Folly Of Seeking Premonitions In Sacred Texts
"by Salman Hameed"

I have written before about the futility of finding science in the Qu'ran and other scriptures. None of these efforts actually lead to any scientific developments (because this is as far away from science as you can get - and lacks a fundamental curiosity about the natural world), but instead are used by followers of each individual religions mostly for proselytization purposes. The same is true for seeking premonitions in sacred texts.

I'm currently listening to a fascinating "Teaching Company" course titled, The Apocalypse: Controversies and Meanings in Western History. It us taught by Professor Craig Koester, and is one of the best courses I have done there (One of my absolute favorites has been the series of three course on the Middle Ages by Philip Daileader). The first 12 lectures are spend on exploring the context in which the Book of Revelation was written and how people understood it in their own times. For example, the seven-headed dragon stood for the various aspects of the Roman Empire at the time of the writing of the book - and the infamous 666 stands, most likely, stood for the name of Emperor Nero (his name's numerical value adds up to 666). Koester calls the example of the dragon as a word-picture, and compares it to editorial cartoons in modern times (for example, a donkey and an elephant in political cartoon in the US would be interpreted by all to be the Democratic and Republican party, respectively).

But one of the fascinating bits in the lectures is about a particular change in the 12th century, where the Book of Revelation was interpreted by a reformer, Joachim of Fiore, to be a map of history. Apart from other things, for him, the seven heads of the dragon meant seven periods of history where the Christian Church was under a serious threat. Of course, he believed that he was living in a special time. And so he divided up the time periods from birth of Christ to the present. Some of the early Roman emperors represented couple of heads and early Islam was also included as one of the heads of the dragon. He assumed that the 6th and 7th heads were in his own time - and Saladin was considered as the 6th head, and his potential collaborator - the anti-christ - to be the 7th and final head.

Here is the relevant bit for this post: He also believed that the year 1260 was of paramount importance, as it will launch the final stage of history. Why 1260? He derived this from the Gospel of Matthews, that mentioned that there were 42 generations before Christ. Well, 42 times 30 years for each generation, leads to 1260 years. He assumed time to be symmetrical around Christ, and so he believed that the age of Jesus would last 1260 years after his death. Joachim of Fiore died in 1202, but some of his followers did believe in a drastic change in the world in the year 1260. Nothing major happened.

But this mapping of history onto the "Book of Revelation" then took hold, and it transformed the book from a purely spiritual document to providing a roadmap of history and future events. And of course, people see themselves - no matter in what century - as playing an important role in the ultimate history of the world. If Joachim and his followers saw apocalyptic events in the 13th century, then it is not much of a surprise that many see signs in the of end-of-times today.

Many Muslim interpreters have done the same with the Qur'an and the Hadith (For a recent example, you can check out this sensational Urdu TV special, "Hidden Truth" by Shahid Masood). The impulse comes from the drive to make one's existence more meaningful and to envision the ultimate triumph of one's own religion (be it Christianity or Islam) over all others.

This mining of clues in the sacred texts for premonitions reminds me of the search for modern science in the same

U S Motto Inaccurate American Atheists

U S Motto Inaccurate American Atheists Do Not Trust In God
"In god we trust" has been the national motto of the United States since 1956. It appears on our currency, in our courthouses, and in several government buildings. Some consider it purely ceremonial, void of any religious meaning. Others believe it reflects our status as a "Christian nation." And among secular Americans, only a small minority seem to think it is worthy of our attention. I happen to disagree with this position.

WHY ATHEISTS SHOULD CARE ABOUT "IN GOD WE TRUST"

There are many reasons atheists and other secular Americans should care about this motto. Here are a few:

* Roughly 16% of the U.S. population does not trust in any sort of god. The motto is not accurate.
* We had a perfectly good national motto before 1956 that served us well.
* Our government is not supposed to promote religious belief.
* The arguments advanced by those who want the "god" motto are seriously flawed.
* "In god we trust" is blatantly exclusionary, communicating to those of us who do not believe in any sort of god that we are somehow not a part of this country.
* "In god we trust" provides a context within which anti-atheist bigotry may be mistaken for patriotism

A MATTER OF PRIORITIES

Those of us who bring up this issue from time-to-time can count on being met with the feedback that this should not be a high priority, that the atheist community has many more pressing issues. I'm not suggesting it should be our only priority or even our top priority, but I believe it should be relatively high on our list because of reasons #5 and #6 above.

Even if "in god we trust" can be considered a largely irrelevant trace of ceremonial deism by some, it is symbolism with significance for those of us who do not believe in gods. It casts us out of the mainstream, raises questions about our love of country, and serves as a constant barrier to our acceptance.

I'll be the first to agree that discrimination and bigotry should be given higher priority than what our currency says; however, I do not see them as separable. They are one in the same, and they must be addressed together. Changing our national motto and removing supernatural references from our currency should be part of our agenda.

Quotes And Facts Behold The Gloryincarnation

Quotes And Facts Behold The Gloryincarnation Through The Arts Edited By Jeremy Begbie
Here are some quotes from most of the eight essays contained in this short work which attempts to explore Christian theology through various artistic mediums. The inclusion of each quote does not imply that I endorse each opinion expressed in them. I am merely seeking discussion on the subject of the relationship between the arts and theology.

Trevor Hart in "Through The Arts: Hearing, Seeing and Touching The Truth."

p21- "Is there any sense in which art itself, through its capacity to transform our vision of and response to the world, shares in or corresponds to that redemptive activity of God?"

Malcolm Guite in "Through Literature: Christ and the Redemption of Language."

p.28- "Because a certain kind of "bloodless" and abstract theology used words in such a way to alientate people from the incarnate Word, so now it falls to the artist to redeem language, to use imaginative language to restore what a language devoid of imagination has destroyed."

p30- "But Christians, especially those called to preach or share the word, should take a special interest when those 'outside' the faith are drawn to deal with its mysteries and should listen closely when they tell us what our orthodoxy has sounded like to them."

p32- "One reason why it is so essential that we begin again to do our theology through the arts, is that the arts are never "discarnate", they always begin and end in the realm of time and sense, however much they give us glimpses of another realm that transcends it."

p45.- "A literary imagination, open to the light of Christ, has the power to move us beyond the limitations of ideological arguement, and take us to the far side of the cross, on a journey with the One who was incarnate into every part of the world and every corner of the human heart."

Sara B. Savage in "Through Dance: Fully Human, Fully Alive."

p65- "This kind of intellectualism has had a marked influence on the Christian Church, and not least, its approach to the person of Christ. At times it has encouraged an attitude to Christ which gives excessive weight to what can be expressed in propositions, apprehended by the mind. This has limited the resources with which we hold together the divine and human natures of Christ. Two extremes typically result: Christ is all/only divine or Christ is all/only human."

p.66- "Movement is thus one of the first languages through which we gain personal knowledge, and as a result, the capacity for propositional knowledge. Hence it is appropriate (perhaps even necessary?) that we use movement to enrich our personal knowledge of Christ (whom we must approach by faith with our whole selves, not only our intellect)."

Jim Forest in "Through Icons: Word and Image Together."

p86- "The catacombs bear witness that wherever Christians prayed, they sought to create a visual environment that reminded them of the Kingdom of God and helped them to pray."

p.89- Here Forest provides a quote from St. John of Damascus (676-749) on icons:

"If we made an image of the invisible God, we would certainly be in error...but we do not do anything of the kind; we do not err, in fact, if we make the image of God incarnate who appeared on earth in the flesh, who in his ineffable goodness, lived with men and assumed the nature, the volume, the form, and the colour of flesh."

p.92- Forest quotes St. Sergius of Radonezh: "Contemplation of the Holy Trinity distroys all discord."

Graham Cray in "Through Popular Music: Wholy Holy."

p119-120- Here Cray is speaking of culture: "...within the human sciences as a whole, culture now refers to the whole of society with particular references to the ways in which human beings make or discover meaning. Cultural studies recognises that people make meaning through the everyday resources of their lives. A Sony Walkman has as much involvement in the making of meaning as the underlying economic and social forces involved in its creation and marketing...this understanding of the relationship between culture and meaning applies to every aspect of culture, including any art form regarded as elite...Christian theology must resist the tendency of some cultural studies to claim that reality is" entirely "constructed by culture or through language. Instead it adopts a view that combines God's initial and ongoing creativity with human stewardship and discovery in partnership with God...But theology can nevertheless agree that culture, including popular culture, does involve the shaping, as well as the identification of meaning."

p121- "It is just because popular music is a mass medium that it has the capacity to introduce substantial themes into its audience's everyday life and experience, in such a way that people are enabled to engage with them significantly."

p135- "When resistance to temptation becomes costly, the critical issue is the trustworthiness of the Father. The cost is bearable if the Father can be trusted. At the heart of the incarnation is the revelation of the trustworthiness of the Father."

Also known as Mithras (for the Persian Sun God), Saturnalia (for the Roman God of sowing and husbandry) and The Great Day of the Cauldron (from Druid Legend). It is the celebration of the return, or rebirth, of the Sun God, the Lord of Life. The celebrations were traditionally performed with the utmost solemnity, yet also with the highest rejoicing, for they resolve the paradox of Death and Rebirth. It represents the redemption of the world from Death and Darkness, as such it is a celebration of hope and joy amidst the gloom of winter.

The word Yule can be traced to the Celtic word `Hioul" which means wheel. This festival is an important point in the turning of the wheel of the year. Wreaths were made to symbolize this wheel, combining solar significance with tree-god significance. In ancient times Celts venerated trees as earthly representatives of the Gods, and it was felt that nothing short of the sacrifice of a mighty tree-god would cause the receding sun to take pity on them and return.

The burning of the Yule log was thought, through sympathetic magick, to increase the brightness and strength of the Sun, and would therefore bring good luck. Passersby would tip their hat or nod in salutation to the log. It is traditional to cut the log from oak or from a slow-burning fruit tree. The fire was lit from a piece of the previous years Yule log, which had been saved for this purpose. It was believed that this piece of the old log was a charm against fire, because it would refuse to burn until it was time to light its successor. A wish was also made while pouring wine over the burning log. It was believed to be bad luck if the log burned out before the 12 days of Yuletide were over. The ashes from the fire were spread in the fields to bring fertility to the next crop.

The Wassail bowl is another favored part of Yule celebrations. A large bowl or pot was filled with wassail, a mixture of cider and spices, and warmed over the Yule fire. The meaning of the word wassail is to be `hale or hearty', and was the reason for the many toasts and salutations made from the bowl. It was also common for a procession to go to the nearest orchard and wassail the trees, thus blessing them and encouraging them to bear a good yield in the coming season. Libations of wassail were also poured over the roots of the trees, and cider drenched cakes were left in the forks of the older trees as an offering to the trees spirit.

Mistletoe is a regeneration symbol, considered to be the Essence of Life due to the resemblance of the juice of the berries to male semen. It was often gathered at this time. Evergreen boughs are also symbols of renewal. Evergreens were decorated to show honor to the tree spirits. The lights on modern trees were the candles of old, and represent the newly born sun god. Trees were not cut down and brought indoors.

The Sacred Seed of Life, having been nurtured by the foster mother Tailltiu, sprang forth from her breast, and was born. As the Wyrrd had foretold, here was the Child of Promise, son of the Gods and of the Earth. This baby was the Sun God, born in the Rule of Darkness, by the magick of the Gods. He was destined to grow in strength and knowledge. It was his task to bring back life and warmth to the land, and to wrest the power from the Lord of Darkness. To appease Cernunnos, who is at the peak of his strength, the people made sacrifices of roasted boar. To distract Callieach, the Wise Ones, or Witches invoked her to teach them of her mysteries. To aid the new-born Sun God the Celts felled a giant oak tree, and burned the log as a sacrifice, that the sun would gain strength from it, and grow.

Despite the powers of Cernunnos and Cailleach, the signs of new life were still upon the land. The sacred seeds which had fallen onto the barren branches of the winter-dead trees had come to life, and thus became the Mistletoe, which could be seen hanging from the oaks in the forests. Upon the land these sacred seeds had grown into the sweet smelling evergreens, and thus they were decreed to be a part of the celebration.

In honor of this magickal birth the people decorated the evergreens with candles and other symbols of life. The Druids told of Hu-Gadarn, the first druid, who had fled from the Atlalntean flood with his family on this day on the Ark, "The Great Cauldron" in which they brought the Essence of Life, and the knowledge of magick into the world. They would also tell tales of the Killing of the Wren, and of the Battle between the Oak King and the Holly King. Throughout the land the people rejoiced, and there was light in the midst of the darkness.

Blessed Be

Holiness Movement In Oklahoma

Holiness Movement In Oklahoma
In the middle of the 1800's a movement gained momentum in American culture. Emerging from the Victorian era and its emphasis on morality and traditionalism, the religious movement focused on personal religious transformation in a crises conversion event, often through 'revival' events. The movement generated activists who preached and lobbied to end drinking, smoking, gambling, dancing, and all and any actions that were felt to led people into moral decay. Theologically most holiness people were related to Wesleyan-Armenian teachings, most often articulated through the legacy of John Wesley. Many of the people in the holiness movement were originally members of the Methodist Church. Out of this movement a missional outreach developed providing half-way houses, orphanages, rescue shelters, and work training. Added to this were store-front or street revivals and mission services. Often these were located in the thick of sinful activities: rowdy areas, saloon blocks, or near brothels and entertainments. Many in the movement tended to encourage a withdrawal from aspects of society that might impede their spiritual journey to a more perfect state of spirituality. Bethany was born from just this type of desire to gather together and form a community of shared faith and values. Other communities dotting the state of Oklahoma likewise became centers of holiness worship and life. Out of the Bethany locale's Utopian dream eventually emerged what is now known as Southern Nazarene University. Other holiness groups would develop as well. Some would merge with a new belief system that gains prominence in the early 1900's amid confusion and often contempt, the Pentecostal movement. One unique feature of many in the holiness movement was acceptance of women as preachers. Women such as Phoebe Palmer led the way in this regard with Catherine Booth, Maria-Woodsworth Etta and others being well known women ministers of the mid to late 1800's.
