Book Review: Pat Zalewski Alchemy

Book Review Pat Zalewski Alchemy And Golden Dawn Ritual

BY DAVID GRIFFIN

Pat Zalewski's recent publication of a new book entitled "Alchemy and Golden Dawn Ritual" has sparked a lively debate on the internet regarding the true nature of Hermetic alchemy and its relationship to the Golden Dawn.

In this new book, Pat Zalewksi sets forth that there are two kinds of alchemy, practical alchemy in the laboratory as opposed to what Mr. Zalewski calls "spiritual alchemy." Zalewski argues that so-called "Practical Alchemy" historically preceded what he calls "Spiritual Alchemy". In making these odd distinctions, Pat Zalewksi proves beyond the shadow of any doubt that he is most certainly not an initiate of either Hermetic or Rosicrucian alchemy, since the first law of alchemy that even any Neophyte among true alchemical initiates understands, is the "Unitary Theory," namely:

"All is ONE."

One ramification of this law is that there is only one alchemy in the same manner that there is only one energy. Anyone who sets forth that there are two separate kinds of alchemy, clearly has not understood even alchemy's most basic and fundamental law.

But what is this strange "Spiritual Alchemy" that Pat Zalewski has newly invented for the Golden Dawn? Zalewksi writes on page 25 that: "The spiritual side of alchemy departs somewhat from Carl Jung's psychological approach to alchemy."

But wait...

There is more!

Since Pat Zalewksi is clearly an academic reconstructionist in regard to not only to the Golden Dawn but also in regard to Hermetic alchemy, one would expect that Zalewksi would at least rely heavily on the texts and images of classical alchemy in piecing together his Frankenstein's monster.

Pat Zalewski and his "Spiritual Alchemy" Creation

Instead, however, Zalewksi not only conflates alchemy with Jungian psychology as espoused by, for example, Fabricus and von Franz, but he continues to mix even this up hopelessly with New Age material channeled by Kevin Ryerson from a New Age entity called "Guru Das."

Mr. Zalewksi then goes on to attempt to illuminate Golden Dawn ritual with this freshly cooked "Spiritual Alchemy," which in reality is nothing more than Pop Psychology blended with New Age channelled nonsense...

And all of this certainly has nothing at all to do with either the Hermetic or Rosicrucian initiatic alchemical traditions, nor even with the Golden Dawn.

Pat Zalewski's New Age, Channelled Alchemical MasterGURU DAS

Traditional Golden Dawn orders have no need of New Age, channeled alchemy gurus. The ancient Hermetic and Rosicrucian alchemical, initiatic traditions are complete in and of themselves.

Sigils Of Norse Magic

Sigils Of Norse Magic
SIGILS ARE ALSO KNOWN AS SEALS. THEY ARE SPECIFIC GEOMETRIC OR VISUAL DESIGNS USUALLY ENCLOSED IN A CIRCLE AND ARE USED FOR VARIOUS MAGICAL AND SPIRITUAL PURPOSES.

COMMANDING AND COMPELLING MAKES MUCH USE OF SIGILS: EACH SPIRIT, WEATHER AN ANGEL (HIGHER BEING) OR DEMON, IS BELIEVED TO POSSESS A SPECIFIC SIGIL. ALLEGEDLY IF THE SIGIL IS CREATED PERFECTLY, THE SPIRIT MUST ANSWER IT'S SUMMONS.

TRADITIONS SIMILAR TO SIGILS EXIST ROUND THE WORLD. ALTHOUGH THE DESIGNS ARE UNIQUE, PURPOSES AND CONCEPTS ARE CLOSELY DESIGNS HAVE HISTORICALLY ALSO BEEN INCLUDED ON FURNITURE, DOCUMENTS, TOMBSTONES, POTTERY AND CERAMICS AND WRITTEN AMULETS. HEX SIGN LITERALLY MEANS "WITCH SIGN." HEX SIGNS ARE ALSO KNOWN AS "HEXAFOOS" OR "WITCH FOOT."

THEIR ORIGINS ARE MYSTERIOUS. JAKOB GRIM AND OTHER SCHOLARS RECOGNIZED THE GEOMETRIC PATTERNS AS DERIVING FROM PRE-CHRISTIAN SPIRITUAL AND MAGICAL TRADITIONS. THEY WERE FIRST USED IN MEDIEVAL GERMANY AND SWITZERLAND AND MAY BE BASED ON THE RUNES. ANOTHER SCHOOL OF THOUGHT, HOWEVER, INSISTS THAT HEX SIGNS ARE NOTHING MORE THAN AESTHETICALLY PLEASING ADORNMENTS.

HEX SIGNS CONSIST OF SIMPLE AND COLORFUL GEOMETRIC DESIGNS THAT REQUIRE RELATIVELY LITTLE ARTISTRY. IF YOU CAN DRAW A STRAIGHT LINE, YOU CAN DRAW A SIMPLE HEX SIGN, ALTHOUGH PERHAPS NOT THE ELABORATE ONES.

DIFFERENT HEX SIGNS HAVE DIFFERENT NAMES, MEANINGS AND POWERS. FOR INSTANCE, TO KEEP LIGHTENING OR HAIL FROM STRIKING OR PREVENT ANIMALS FROM BECOMING BEWITCHED. EXPLANATIONS DATING BACK TO THE 1920'S, ESPECIALLY GEARED TO TOURISTS, SUGGEST THE HEX SIGNS ARE DECORATIONS INTENDED TO WARD OFF MALEVOLENT WITCHCRAFT OR EVIL INFLUENCES. IN OTHER WORDS, THEY ARE "SIGILS."

Death Card Design

Death Card Design
We recently had the death card as our card of the week for tarot week which sparked some creative thinking for me. I want to know for all of you out there creating your own decks; What imagery speaks to you for this card? When making your death card, will you go traditional skeleton/death or is there Also I have a good idea for my magician card for my tarot deck I am working on and recently one of the communities gave me food for thought for my Death/Rebirth card.

I am going to call it Rebirth as that speaks more to me and I feel encompasses more of the meaning of the card, but I had thought of only putting a phoenix on the card to symbolize death and rebirth, reincarnation sort of thing, but I think now I am going to mix the phoenix with the washer at the ford type of image ( old crone with bloody hands washing blood soaked cloths, there is a legend that if you see this women along a river it symbolizes your death.

) I need to look more into the imagery, but I have heard this legend before and it is an interesting concept to me for imagery. I like the idea anyway, sort of a fated to be kind of thing in that there is no stopping it, but it isn't exactly just an end it is also a begging what with the phoenix imagery.

It makes me excited about the deck all over again, I just have to get off my butt and start drawing out more of the cards to be water-colored so that I can get to this card. I also have to research some more about they imagery and see if it is a good fit, but I can see the card in my head, which before I couldn't so I think that is a good thing and worth exploring.

Edgar Cayce On Reincarnation

Edgar Cayce On Reincarnation
Inwards forty-three years of his capacious life, Edgar Cayce (1877-1945) gave higher than 14,000 psychic dissertations, called readings, on a option of subjects. In 1901, at the age of 24, Edgar Cayce gave the initial reading for himself, diagnosing a health limit, but it really wasn't until 1923 that the reservation of regeneration was explored in a reading aspect to a imprinter from Ohio. (BEGUILINGLY SUFFICIENT, THE PICTURE HAD BEEN MENTIONED IN A ABOVEMENTIONED READING ASPECT AS LITTLE AS 1911, BUT NO ONE AND CAYCE'S FOLLOWERS WAS FINALE WITH THE CONSCIOUSNESS, SO THE GOOD WORD WASN'T UNCONTESTED AS SUCH FOR DECADES.) The imprinter had ahead of obtained elated readings for two members of his relations for instance he asked for a horoscope reading. On the road to the end of that reading the having forty winks Cayce beam the weird sentence: "he was while a holy woman."

That contact opened the entry to a whole new categorize of research and delve into - the twig of regeneration.

Cayce had ahead of renowned himself mindlessly with the health readings - one way or another he was nimble-fingered to ventilate during an unconstrained at a detachment, tell what was transgression with that character, detail how she or he had gotten ill, direct treatments and one therapeutic proceedings, and sometimes even send his buyer to one physicians that the having forty winks Cayce had no knowledge of instance attract. The harshness of his information would in the end assert him such nicknames as "THE FACT MAN OF VIRGINIA SHORE" and "THE HAVING FORTY WINKS PROPHET." Expound was no hesitation that his psychic information was obedient and close up for instance company with health, but the readings wither good word to regeneration seemed peculiar to his critical Christianity. Cayce prayed about it, did ominously soul-searching, and obtained readings on the twig. He was advised to read the Bible while unequivocal from gain to gain instance maintenance the consciousness of regeneration in tension. The dormant philosophy that emerged was one that thoughtful upon the oneness and the consideration of life. In time, Edgar Cayce found that the picture of regeneration was not conflicting with any religion, and actually compound anyhow with his own beliefs of what it predestined to be a Christian. In the end the reservation of regeneration was examined in spacious detail in untouchable 1,900 Mortal Readings.

Due what is reincarnation? It is the belief that each of us goes unequivocal a series of lifetimes for the conception of spiritual growth and stray come into view. Cayce's transfer does not grasp the picture of transmigration, which states that it is possible for whatsoever beings to be untutored anew as animals. From the position of the Cayce whatsoever, souls only occupy whatsoever bodies unequivocal their spiritual growth and developmental cast.

In self, the Cayce transfer to regeneration provides a philosophical unbending to the earlier focusing on practical ways of company with this life: living, evolving, and special of service to one dissimilar in the include. For him it wasn't around as lid to who relations had while been, or even what they had been play-act, as it was supreme that they focus on the include and the opportunities and challenges that faced them in this time, in this place, carte blanche now.

In terminology of appreciation your own earlier lives, the Edgar Cayce information provides a option of approaches. In fact, oftentimes relations who standard readings would ask about such equipment as memorable thoughts that were on their tension, well-known traits and talents that they had without fail been pale to, and even deep won over or harmful dealings with other the upper crust in their lives - Cayce described how each of these equipment might be allied to past-life recollections. In the middle of these equipment in tension, in order to remember your own earlier lives the Cayce readings direct such equipment as well-known inventories of your talents, abilities, likes, and dislikes; working with meditation and dreams; taking part in real McCoy past-life reveries or self-hypnosis, and so forth.

From Cayce's point of view, the mull over for believing in regeneration is not so that we can stop upon the earlier or lay claim to about the hazard of while having been someone allure, slightly it is to call a stray to understand the consequences of past choices and to know that each unconstrained is irrevocably constant for shaping and creating his or her life in the include. From the Cayce readings' point of view, the earlier simply provided a structure of potentials and probabilities. An individual's choices, activities, and free command in the include would operate the actual occurrence lived this time encircling. Completely than special a fatalistic transfer to life, it is ominously higher one of around uncontrolled opportunities.

Kevin Todeschi is the Running Senior and CEO of Edgar Cayce's Confederacy for Sign out and Description, managing actions of the Cayce work complete. A bountiful writer, he is the fountain pen of twenty

Transforming Satanic Jewish Evil To Become Rich

Transforming Satanic Jewish Evil To Become Rich
Upgrade V: Satanic Jewish Evil to Sublime Good(R) Sequestration.

The Satanic Abraham Ritual exchanging Jew Evil for Goyim Good has made the Satanic Jew the Master of all the West owning all the property, riches and Goyim. British Maritime Law means no Goyim can own property land because by Eminent Domain all Western land, property, Goyim are owned by the British Crown via the City of London's Temples, Westerners can only lease land, property... their lives; Eminent Domain means they can never be the possessors ther. This is the Satanic Abraham Ritual writ large!

Now Tim Rifat the Psi-Lord has Sequestered the power that made Satanic Jews the Masters of the West, the Psi-Lord goes into the ultimate reason, destination for the Abraham Ritual, Abramelin Ritual... Kabbalah. Zionists follow the teachings of the Kabbalist Isaac de Loria, or Luria. This Lurianic Judaism preaches that all Goyim are the spawn of LILITH and SAMAEL and belong on the inverse Sephirothic Trees, the QLIPPOTHIC ADAM BELIAL. They state all Jews have Evil from the past. 7 attempts by SABBAOTH, TSABAOTH, YALTABAOTH, YALDABAOTH to make Creations - all of which have failed. These are called the 7 Edamic Worlds and their SABBAOTH'S TSABAOTH'S the 7 Kings of Edam collectively called AMALEK the Other God. This is because YALTABAOTH, YALDABAOTH was destroyed by the hidden part in her called AMALEK hidden part in Evil that Evil is blind to and destroys Evil from within. The 7 because of these 7 Edamic Worlds. This according to Lurianic Satanism is the eighth Creation (hence the importance of the 08/08/08, the attack on Russia to complete the Abraham Ritual, the Olympic Bird's Nest stadium to dump Jew Evil on the rest of the world (see Sequestering Judaic Messiah Service for info on the Bird's Nest). The Eighth King of Edam according to Lurianic Satanism was supposed to be conquered - think again Satanic Jews, the Eighth King of Edam has terminated TSABAOTH, SABBAOTH, YALTABAOTH, YALDABAOTH. The Russians beat the American Jewish attack in Georgia proving the Chosen Race are now the Russians. Lurianic Zionism postulates Jews are Evil because of the toxic waste from the 7 previous Edamic Creations (failures of YALTABAOTH, YALDABAOTH) so the 7 ELOHIM Spells are needed to get the Satanic Jew back to a semblance of normality. The Abraham Ritual then Sublime Good(R) the Jewish Evil to Goyim in return for Sublime Good(R) and as they are creations of YALTABAOTH, YALDABAOTH make the Chaos God Sublime Good(R) so the AMALEK hidden Evil destroyer does destroy the Jew creation. Hence the Lurianic Zionists mission to make all Goyim corrupt Evil to save their skins from AMALEK.

In this Service the Psi-Lord allows the Bone Psi-Master to dump Evil using his right hand Bone Generator(R) using the Abraham Ritual on Jew UnterGoyim and to upload pure Sublime Good(R) via the left hand Bone Generator(R) to make the SuperJew a pure Sublime Good(R) being the goal of all Zionist Lunariac Satanism. As pure Sublime Good(R) you can be as evil as you wish and are immune to AMALEK payback so all your failures, enemies, feed you with Sublime Good(R) to make you a God while AMALEK eats them alive and destroys all Jews and Goyim in return.

T. Thorn Coyle is a Feri and Reclaiming priestess, as well as accomplished poet, dancer, and singer. She is in high demand as an international speaker and educator as she does world wide seminars on the spiritual tools of Feri.

Reviewer's opinion of book:

T. Thorn Coyle writing remains consistent throughout and allows the reader to undertake a journey towards improving their spiritual nature while learning and coming to understand the basic concepts of the Feri tradition. (It should be noted that Reclaiming borrows a lot of the Feri teachings. This can lead the reader to an echo effect. Regarding the knowledge of the Reclaiming tradition or if the reader has read any of Starhawk's works.) What T. Thorn Coyle offers is nothing short of a beautifully cohesive magical system.

Through out the book the focus is on the individual and their personal spiritual and magical growth, or evolution. While providing the reader with the tools necessary to transform into a self-aware person capable of manifesting the energy within. T. Thorn Coyle conveys the importance of recognizing and improving upon each aspect of our being to strengthen the whole as an individual.

This book emphasizes methods of change that create the catalyst for the reader to emerge from the chrysalis of transformation into the world with the ability to create change. Once reborn through the gift of hard work and understanding, the reader is provided with methods by which to manifest change through their intentions.

Additionally, T. Thorn Coyle should be commended for speaking of Wicca/Witchcraft as a modern tradition and evolving religion and not attempting to create a pseudo-historical approach it. She also provides some of the best advice that can be found within a published book regarding such topics as initiation and the search for a teacher. T. Thorn Coyle provides insight into the roles of dedication and study. The importance of interpersonal teaching, and the fact that initiation is not something for everyone. Moreover, that it is only performed when one has already been initiated, for it takes place when an individual makes the connection to the Gods.

One Deck Wonder Thoth

One Deck Wonder Thoth
I have been playing around with the Thoth Tarot for three weeks now, so I have decided to commit to a One Deck Wonder with it. The One Deck Wonder is a concept from Aeclectic Tarot. It's just a promise to yourself to use one deck only for a while, to get to know it better. I have developed a bit of fascination with this deck, and so I figured I might as well make a commitment:

1. I will use the Thoth Tarot exclusively, Imbolc - Vernal Equinox (1 Feb - 20 Mar) 2013.

2. I will refer to Lon Milo DuQuette's

Review: Handbook Of Urban Druidry Modern Druidry

Review Handbook Of Urban Druidry Modern Druidry
Many people see paganism as something best done out in the countryside, far away from urban sprawls full of cars and buildings, pollution and noise. Well, as nice as it might be to live in some idyllic rural spot, many people can't avoid being city-dwellers. But being an urban pagan is actually not as hard as it seems and a new book called The Handbook of Urban Druidryis a very good guide on how to go about it.

As author Brendan Howlin says "...even the most urban of environments is teeming with life". He explains that you just need to tune your senses to become aware of it - from birds in the sky overhead to the trees that line the streets and the flowers that bloom in gardens. In fact, the first lesson in the book is about how to see the beauty of nature in the city.

Using that as a starting point, the next lesson is how to relax and meditate, which of course can be done anywhere and is a great antidote for the stresses of modern life. Going for walks through city parks and green spaces can help you tune in to the cycles of the seasons just as much as walks in the countryside, while there are many ways that anyone can become more environmentally conscious.

That might all sounds bit basic, but The Handbook of Urban Druidryis a beginners' book. It is organised in two sections. Part 1 is an experiential self-help course designed to be followed for a year and a day. It is practical, with lessons to follow, but is more about personal development than learning about the history of Druidry or religious dogma. In fact, Druidry is not at all a dogmatic type of spiritual path.

Brendan explains "The beauty of Druidry is that it does not stipulate a religious belief. You are free to frame your concept of Deity in whatever way suits you. Hence I know of Christian Druids, Buddhist Druids, Pagan Druids, Secular Druids and even one Sufi Druid."

While the first part of the book shows how city dwellers can learn to live more in harmony with their natural environment, the second part relates that to 'real' Druidry. Starting from the basics again, Brendan explains: "Most modern Druid Orders are organised into three grades and these are Bards, Ovates and Druids... Bards are associated with creativity and the arts, Ovates with healing and divination and Druids with ritual, law and responsibility."

For those who feel Druidry is a path they want to follow further, the book goes into what to expect from an official Druidic training programme. The first section of the book in fact covers basic Bardic groundwork. Brendan also offers lists for further reading and details of Druid groups that could be approached.

Invoke Logic To Understand The Truth

Invoke Logic To Understand The Truth About Astral Initiation
I have over a time written several blogs on the validity of Astral Initiation into the Golden Dawn. This will not be a lengthy article or blog. I will simply call on your ability to use logic. Stay with on this and see if you come up with the same conclusion that MacGregor Mathers and Monia Mathers came up with when they first initiated ASTRAL INITIATION in the United States shortly before MacGregor death and Monia Mathers carried it out for many years.

1. Not everyone is near a physical Temple nor can afford the cost of attending a physical Temple. Should these people be excluded from the Light of Initiation into the Sacred Miseries? If so, this would probably eliminate MacGregor Mathers himself for there is no record of him traveling to Germany to receive initiation from the continental adepts! HE WAS EITHER SELF-INITIATED BECAUSE THERE WERE NO CONTINENTAL ADEPTS OF THE ROSE CROSS, OR HE WAS ASTRAL INITIATED. THERE IS NO WAY AROUND THIS LOGIC.

2. The cost of 5 initiations before one can be invited into the Inner Order is outrageous for someone on a budget. The average round trip air fare is about 500.00 the cost of Hotels will bring this up to about 800.00 and then there may be the cost of a rental car, add another 200.00 Plus food. So each trip to a temple will cost about 1000.00 or more. The Esoteric Order of the Golden Dawn is the ONLY Order that provides Astral initiation anywhere in the world and then provides a yearly Power Week where members can come and go through physical initiation too. If a person has achieved the first three grades for example, they will experience all the initiations up to Theoricus. Now the cost of physical initiation is drastically reduced. LOGIC. WE DO NOT BELIEVE THE LORD OF THE UNIVERSE OPENED UP INITIATION ONLY FOR THOSE WITH MEANS.

3. If Long Distant Healing works then the same logic applies to long distant initiation. Our early brethren of the Rose and Cross-often did healing and there is nothing written that it was only in person. There astral abilities were often directed at the whole world, or areas of conflict or sickness. IF HEALING CAN BE DONE LONG DISTANT, THEN SO CAN INITIATION, FOR TRUE HEALING IS A TYPE OF INITIATION OF MOVING FROM DARKNESS TO LIGHT, FOR DEATH TO LIFE. LOGIC.

4. The Second Order that provides initiation for both physical candidates and astral candidates teaches ceremonial magic. NOW IT WOULD BE RIDICULOUS TO BELIEVE THAT THE SAME ORDER THAT TEACHES MAGIC THAT CAN AFFECT TIME AND SPACE IN ASTONISHING WAYS, TEACHES THAT INITIATION MUST BE DONE WITHIN A SMALL CONFINED SPACE OR A RENTED MASONIC LODGE? This is not very logical.

5. There is a wild-eyed rumor flying around that Astral Initiation is dangerous. We if that is the case, so are long distant healing, or prayer. What the writer of this ill-logical belief does not understand is that ALL INITIATIONS ARE ASTRAL. In the Hall of the Neophyte the Hierophant creates several god forms in the astral plane. They are created and are an active part of the initiation, yet they are invisible. Even the officers in the initiation take on astral forms. The whole thing is astral! This is where the real initiation takes place. There is a greater danger driving to the Temple to attend a physical initiation than sitting in your home with candles and incense and absorbing the influx of Light. ASTRAL INITIATION IS NOT DANGEROUS, BUT MAYBE THE PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE IT IS ARE THE REAL DANGER FOR THEY OBVIOUSLY DO NOT UNDERSTAND INITIATION. LOGIC.

In conclusion, if you are really sincere about learning the Golden Dawn system and working with trained Adepts that will provide you the on-line classes, the personal mentoring and extremely advanced grade materials that are constantly being upgraded, then you might want to consider the Esoteric Order of the Golden Dawn. The Order has members and study groups all over the world, from Australia to Montana, from Olympia Washington to London England. Many of our best and most active adepts began they journey as astral initiates. Logic.

Your Brother in the Great Work of Light,

G.H. Frater P.D.R.

P.S, Since the writing of this Blog I have received notice from another GD group that I am side show Bob, or a late night t.v. salesman. While I have nothing against good marketing, I wonder if this kind of propaganda of name calling and such is where we really want to go as a Golden Dawn community? Just a thought from side show Bob.

Leaving The Abbey Of Thelema

Leaving The Abbey Of Thelema
During my stay I was fortunate enough to be introduced to a man whose grandfather had known Crowley when he first arrived in Cefalu. Crowley had fallen in love with his grandfather's beautiful house, tucked away in the hills just north of the town centre. He desperately wanted to buy or rent it in order to found the Abbey of Thelema, but the offer was turned down and Crowley had to choose the smaller farmhouse.

This man stressed over and over how huge the impact Crowley and his followers had made on Cefalu at the time. He was a free man, something they had never encountered before.

I was told of the relationship between Crowley and Monsignor Campo, the Director of the School of Archbishops, a religious training school which is still situated near to the ancient Cathedral. Campo was an original thinker who had studies the unorthodox work of the Dutch philosopher Kant. Given his position, he trod a thin line with the church. Crowley and Campo had many in-depth conversations concerning religion and Philosophy.

To this day, Monsignor Campo's diaries are banned from public view. The man I spoke to has tried to access them, in the interests of literature, to study Campo's subversive views and find any references to the conversations he had with Crowley, but without success.

Much speculation exists as to why Crowley was expelled from Sicily. It has been suggested that he fell foul of a facist purge on all occult and secret societies; that Mussolini had a general dislike of Crowley and even that his followers were spying for the British Government, with the Abbey as a cover. Although the Archbishop of Cefalu disliked Monsignor Campo he tolerated him, however, he hated Crowley because of his public display of free thinking, and so instigated the expulsion of the Thelemites. The Scottish journalist in Cefalu was not only working for the British press but was also in the pay of the Archbishop, who commissioned him to write outrageous lies to stir unrest in Britain and to get the attention of Mussolini. Under pressure to keep the huge power of the church as an ally, Mussolini sent spies to gather information about the Thelemites' scandalous activities to secure an expulsion order. However, they returned from the Abbey and said nothing was going on. Still being badgered by the Archbishop, it was not the answer Mussolini needed. Calling the spies stupid, he secured the order anyway. When it was served, Crowley argues that it was for him only and not his followers. Mussolini angrily issued another order and Crowley lost his beloved Abbey in May 1923.

Before he died in 1947, Aleister Crowley wrote that his stay at the Abbey of Thelema was definitely one of the happiest times of his life.

Magickal And Pagan Systems

Magickal And Pagan Systems
I wanted to take a moment and wish everyone a very happy and safe Samhain/Hallows for this year. For some, this represents the boundary of a new year, where the old year has died and the new begins to emerge. It can be a time of reflection, insight, remembrance of those that passed - both recently and further away in time. It is a time of commemorating those deceased that we admired, emulated to some degree, or even accepted as mentors. Having a spiritual or occult mentor is truly an important feature in the life of an occultist, witch or ritual magician. However, that mentor doesn't always have to be alive in order for one to find their work inspirational and deeply meaningful.

Dead mentors are probably almost as important as the living ones, since they offer us a legacy without any real strings attached. For me, three individuals have acted like unwitting mentors to me over the course of my career as a witch, occultist and magician. These three individuals are, in order of importance, Alex Sanders, Aleister Crowley and Samuel Liddell MacGregor Mathers. There are other authors and teachers who have had an impact on me (AND WHO ARE NO LONGER LIVING), but these three have had the greatest impact on me in regards to my studies and practices.

Alex Sanders was probably the most flamboyant witch and ceremonial magician in the mid to late 20th century since Old Gerald himself. Alex freely mixed practical Gardnerian witchcraft with the Golden Dawn system of magick along with parts of the Solomonic grimoire tradition. In many ways, Alex pointed the way for me to proceed in my own spiritual and magickal travels. Even though I was initiated into the Alexandrian tradition on Candlemas, 1976, I never got the chance to meet Alex or Maxine Sanders while they lived together in London in the 70's. I had an acquaintance who met them and even briefly circled with them as a guest, but I never got the opportunity to travel to England to meet them myself. (Some who knew him well have told me that this was probably a good thing, since Alex was reputed to be a very "NAUGHTY" boy.)

Alex left behind very few writings, and from what I was able to determine from his written lectures and what others who knew him said about his studies, he was much more of a classical occultist and trained medium than I am, since he readily mixed eastern philosophies, Theosophy and spiritualism with his practical workings. However, Alex was quite an experimenter, and was attempting to fuse a number of different fragmentary systems of occultism together, to create his own version of a pagan system of the Golden Dawn. He lionized the use of the Rose Ankh, which he saw as a replacement or addition to the Rose Cross. Still, the many pictures of him and Maxine, and the The next individual is Aleister Crowley, whose writings and books are an important part of my personal occult library. I have studied "UNCLE AL," as I like to call him, quite rigorously, and have found many of his essays, books and rituals to be highly informative. What I am not crazy about is how Uncle Al lived his life and dealt with people. I have also found some of his writings to be purposely misleading and perhaps even a bit harmful if taken literally. I, for one, would not see any purpose to cutting my arm with a razor blade every time I happened to utter the first person pronoun - this would certainly not, in my opinion, lead one to adopt a humble and ego-less state of mind. I also do not consider myself a Thelemite, nor do I see the "BOOK OF THE LAW" as holy writ. You won't find me parroting out of context tracts from that work. I do consider the Book of the Law to be an inspired work, just as the book "VISION AND THE VOICE." But inspired works are to be analyzed, not enshrined as items of worship.

Since I am not a person of the book, as it were, then I wouldn't accept any writings as either holy or inviolable. Still, I consider Aleister Crowley to be the father of modern paganism and ritual magick. He was the first who proposed making the adoption of a godhead the principal practice in the art of magick, as he often would fully assume the godhead of Horus when he worked it. Witches and modern pagans have taken this practice to an even greater extreme than Crowley would have allowed, which has both points for and against it.

I was first introduced to Crowley's writings when I was a teenager, which was a time when a lot of his A few friends of mine, some of whom are Thelemites, have agreed that if we could have actually met Crowley in some manner, we wouldn't have liked him. Crowley was arrogant, cruel to his friends, allies and followers, abusive to his lovers, and an all around nasty fellow. He grew up wealthy and privileged, but died a poor man with a terrible Heroin addiction. While his personal life is not one to recommend to anyone, his writings stand out for all time. For the sake of his writings, I am grateful for his contribution to the practice of ritual and ceremonial magick.

The final individual that I feel an affinity and respect for is Samuel Liddell MacGregor Mathers, another giant in the annals of western occultism and ceremonial magick. Mathers was responsible for the formulation and establishment of the Golden Dawn organization. It was Mathers who brought the practice of magick from where it had been left in the 17th century into the late 19th century.

Mathers was an excellent scholar and researcher in his own right, and his unwitting legacy stands the test of time. I say unwitting, because Mathers would not have agreed with the Golden Dawn materials being published, and he unsuccessfully attempted to stop Crowley from publishing that lore in the Equinox. After that incident, the flood gate was opened, and there was nothing that Mathers could do to stem the tide. He passed away in the post WWI influenza epidemic that ravaged Paris and he didn't live to see the fruit of that unwarranted publication. A few other of Mathers' personal occult manuscripts were published by Crowley, and these, along with the Golden Dawn corpus and the few of Mathers' legitimate publications represent a massive collection of transitional documents, showing how the occult lore of the earlier modern era was evolved into a system that is both elegant and workable today. Mathers' legacy to the modern practice of ritual and ceremonial magick is virtually priceless, since the Golden Dawn has spawned a multitude of magickal and pagan systems throughout the western world.

I have often given Mathers a great deal of credit for starting the modern occult revolution of the 20th century, particularly in regards to the practice of magick and western based occultism. Little is actually known about Mathers and his life, and the various pundits and biographers who have written about him have not been very kind to his memory, beginning with Crowley himself. I would suspect that Mathers was a completely honorable man who steadfastly subscribed to the proper chain of transmission and secrecy inherent in the occult orders and organizations of the 18th and 19th centuries. That many no longer hold these values and beliefs as sacrosanct does not in any way diminish Mathers, his accomplishments and his steadfast belief in the Order that he had helped to found. Whether one believes that Mathers had contact with the secret chiefs or not, no one can dispute the legacy that he gave to all of us today who practice ceremonial or ritual magick with an initiatory basis. I suspect that if he were able to witness all that has happened to his lore over the last century, I think that he would have seen it as a positive manifestation of this genius rather than an abhorrent aberration to be condemned. He would not have agreed with the manner of the transmission of this lore, but perhaps would have consigned himself that its revelation did indeed help start a powerful cultural and spiritual movement. That effect may have been the over arching purpose as to why the revelation had occurred in the first place.

So, these three luminaries are ultimately but not directly responsible for the fruit of my studies and the system of magick that I have forged. During this time of honoring the dead, I shall light a candle and say a Mass for all three of them. They have helped to make my practices and beliefs truly realized, and for this fact, I am deeply grateful.

Significance Of The Pentacle

Significance Of The Pentacle
There are many people who do not understand the significance or symbolism of the Pentacle, sometimes called a pentagram and also a pantacle in the Thelma tradition.

The pentacle is a talisman that represent protection, but more often than not, there is a negative perception of its meaning, usually disinformation at the hands of Hollywood movies and Christian church leaders, who believe it to be symbolic of Satan or Satanic rites and rituals. It has even been inverted to display imagery of an unholy beast, most often tied to Lucifer.

Although some pagan traditions do in fact use the pentacle in those fashions of darkness, MOST do consider the pentacle to be protective and to repel evil and negativity.

It is a 5 point star encased in a circle. The circle represents the cycle of life and death. For truly nothing ever ends. A lush forest is full of life and energy, suddenly burned into ash, representing death and from those ashes, the nitrogen from the ash and other elements fertilize the soil to feed the seedlings beneath the surface giving rise to new life and over time, it will grow once more.

The star with its 5 points represent the 5 elements. In the early years of science, before the discover of elements that we find on the Periodic Table of Elements in modern science, early learners believed that everything was created within the elements of Earth, Air, Fire and Water. Interestingly enough, the Japanese also had yet another element of Wood, which was considered to be a combination of each of these elements together in harmony.

Some say that starting from the right side of the pentacle, the first point represents Fire, the second lower right represents Water, the third lower left represents Earth and the upper fourth point represents air.

But what about the 5th Element? No, I'm not talking about the movie. I'm talking about the soul. Spirit if you will. That driving force within us that dwells in the physical and expands into the Universe through the Spiritual. Many traditions call this energy Akasha, which is also synonymous with Magic. The top and fifth point of the pentacle represents the soul of mankind and its dominion over the elements, working together as one!

So you see, we are indeed magic, and if you are Wiccan, you acknowledge the existence of the divine spark of creation of the Goddess and the God that dwells within us that empowers our magic and connects us to everything in the Universe.

So the pentacle symbolizes the cycle of life and our connection to all things, as well as displays our understanding of having power over the elements themselves through our souls.

Religion Survey Reveals Americans Of Faith

Religion Survey Reveals Americans Of Faith Believe In The Supernatural
uk.reuters - Although most Americans are Christian and many are devout it hasn't stopped some members of the flock from believing in astrology, reincarnation or the ability of trees to trap spiritual energy.

A poll by the Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life shows a surprising number of U.S. adults claim to have had supernatural experiences such as ghost sightings or hold beliefs associated with the New Age movement or Eastern religions.

And some of them claim allegiance to more traditional faiths such as Catholicism or evangelical Protestantism.

"American religious folks hold a variety of views and there is overlap among their beliefs and practices. Many do not fit into simple boxes," said Pew researcher Alan Cooperman.

The poll released on Wednesday showed that three-in-ten Americans say they have felt in touch with a dead person and 18 percent say they have seen or been in the presence of a ghost.

Other Pew surveys have shown that relatively few Americans would identify an Eastern religion or New Age spirituality as their core faith. But about a quarter of those surveyed say they believe in aspects of Eastern religions.

Nearly 25 percent said they believed in reincarnation and 23 percent said yoga was a spiritual practice. Twenty six percent said they believed "spiritual energy" could be found in objects such as trees.

A quarter said they believed in astrology, while 16 percent of U.S. adults think that an "evil eye" exists or that some people can cast curses or spells on others. Among black Protestants the evil eye figure is 32 percent.

The number of Americans who profess a belief in astrology is about the same as the number who claim to be Roman Catholic. Nearly 30 percent of Catholics surveyed said they believed in astrology. Among Catholics who attended church each week the figure was 16 percent.

Much of this would be jarring to - among others - many evangelical Protestants, who account for one in four adult Americans and take their Bible very seriously.

Still, 13 percent of white evangelicals profess a belief in astrology and about 10 percent accepted the possibility of reincarnation. Although the percentages are lower than in other groups, they are high enough to curl the hair of a Southern Baptist preacher.

Researchers said they were careful to stress that reincarnation meant being reborn again and again in this world and did not refer to, say, the resurrection of Christ.

Evangelicals, who place a heavy emphasis on spiritual conversions, are much more likely than most Americans to have had "a religious or mystical experience - that is, a moment of religious or spiritual awakening," according to the poll.

About half of Americans claim to have had such an experience but among white evangelicals the number is 70 percent and for black Protestants it is 71 percent.

The nationwide survey of around 4,000 adults was conducted in August. Interviews were done in English and Spanish.

What Is Rosicrucianism

What Is Rosicrucianism
The Rosicrucian Order is a legendary esoteric Order publicly documented in the early 17th century. This hermetic Order is viewed among earlier and many modern Rosicrucianists as a "College of Invisibles" from the inner worlds, composed of great Adepts, aiming to give assistance in mankind's spiritual unfoldment. When compared to human beings, the consciousness of these Adepts is said to be like that of demi-gods.

Several modern societies have been formed for the study of Rosicrucianism and allied subjects. However, many researchers on the history of Rosicrucianism argue that modern Rosicrucianists are in no sense directly derived from the "Brethren of the Rose Cross" of the 17th century. Instead, they are considered to be keen followers. Moreover, some have viewed the 17th century Order as a literary hoax or prank, rather than an operative society. Others contend that history shows them to be the genesis of later operative and functional societies. Rosicrucianism has its roots in the western mystery tradition and is generally associated with the symbol of the Rose Cross. The Rosicrucian greeting is, "May the Roses bloom upon your Cross."

Cobra Update Explosion Of Light 726

Cobra Update Explosion Of Light 726
We are slowly approaching the Event horizon. The Event horizon is the exit point of the black hole of quarantine Earth. When we exit the black hole, there will be an explosion of Light.

This means an end of quarantine status for planet Earth and end of darkness in this universe.

The quarantine was created by the dark forces 26,000 years ago and NOT by the Galactic Confederation. The Confederation would never lock up human race on an isolated planet. What maintains the quarantine is quantum anomaly. Quantum anomaly is a distortion of time-space continuum on quantum level (called "error" in ancient gnostic texts). Quantum anomaly presents a difficulty for positive ET travel technologies. Positive ETs are not gods, they have their own limitations. Else they would liberate humanity long time ago.

The main structure that keeps humanity in third dimension are etheric implants. They form a network of black hole wormholes that was created by the Archons 26,000 years ago and strengthened with Magdalenian Archons invasion 16,000 years ago. Those black holes contain reptilians and their technology on etheric plane and they are being intensively purified by the Light forces right now. Etheric and astral black holes also contain a dark sepia ink elemental essence. That ink-like essence is what people call darkness because it absorbs etheric / astral light. When this ink is completely removed there will be an explosion of Light on non-

physical planes.

By keeping the implants inside strong etheric electromagnetic fields eternity loops are created. Eternity loops are distortions of space-time continuum that give an impression that quarantine will last forever. Nothing could be further from the truth. The quarantine will be dissolved immediately when those electromagnetic fields are switched off and the Archons operating them are removed.

Another main structure is a special Archon technology on the etheric plane. They are projection chambers that project certain images / emotional states that are not ours on our outer auric membrane. So other people feel this projected image and not our true state. This is the source of most conflicts / projections in human relationships. When this technology is removed, people will suddenly find much more harmony in their relationships.

The last main factor of the quarantine is the ordinary (mundane) reality. This reality system is an artificial creation of the Cabal and most people buy into this reality frame without questioning it. The Cabal spends about three billion dollars daily to keep the illusion of the ordinary reality running. It does this by suppressing all real UFO evidence and free energy technologies and by maintaining nine to five job slavery for humanity. You can transcend the ordinary reality frame by adopting shamanic point of view of creating your own reality. By consciously creating your own reality bubble you help disintegrating the quarantine.

There is a special joint operation of the Resistance Movement, the Pleiadians and other positive ET races that dismantles the quarantine. I will be able to report more on this operation when certain conditions are met.

August and September are months of much background activity, but immediate results may not be visible. I suggest everybody to remain patient and calm within this time period, especially in September with another Uranus / Pluto square.

For those concerned with the Olympics false flag event, there is no reason to be afraid. All activities of the Cabal around the Olympics are closely monitored by the Resistance Movement. It is extremely unlikely that any major negative event will happen then.2012portal.blogspot.com

Jacked Up Cards Three Of Swords

Jacked Up Cards Three Of Swords
Every tarot reader feels there are some cards you just don't want to see in your readings, whether they are for self or others. The gods be damned Three of Swords is one of them. "HEARTBREAK!" it screams. "DESPAIR!" Tears are sure to follow, right?

"The dark and stormy skies in the traditional tarot image are deeply reflective of the very idea of having "the blues", and Golden Dawn tradition titles the card, "Lord of Sorrow". Heartache is a common keyword assigned to the card, but I argue that is not the best possible one. If this card was about heartbreak, it would most likely be in the watery suit of Cups, most often associated with emotions, or possibly Pentacles, relating to all things of this earth, including our bodies, because most of us are unfortunate enough to know that hearts really can hurt. A card signifying heartache could even be found in the Wands, dealing with our spirits and passions, but this card is found in the suit of Swords, which has to do with thoughts and communications. Threes can be
"The astrology of the card is Saturn in Libra, according to Mr. Crowley, and others, and Saturn has to do with our life's learning experiences, among other things, while Libra is mainly concerned with how we relate, and above all things, keeping it fair. One of our first life lesson comes at a tender age when we plaintively wail, "But that isn't FAIR"!" to some seemingly uncaring adult, and we all know what their response generally was- "Life isn't fair. Get used to it." True, but harsh words.

By its' very nature, Libra desires to be balanced, but Threes are not balanced. They are the antithesis of balance, the very thing that can upset the careful balance of the Twos and lacking the stabilization of the Fours. Saturn does not mean to be a right ol' bastard, but the fact of the matter is most of us do not learn while everything is going our way, so difficulty and challenge tend to be the things that spur growth. The pairing is not very harmonious, and that brings us to the title of "Sorrow" for this oft-maligned card.

The advice this card offers is to go ahead and face whatever you need to face, because pain and love are alike in some ways- you can't go around it, under, nor over. The only way through is straight and narrow. The gift that can be taken away when this card shows up, and it will, is that we are in control of our thoughts. They may, in fact, be the only thing we are in control of fully, and the way we think about a situation has everything to do with how we experience the situation. That doesn't make it easier when marriages crumble or jobs are lost, or all the tragedies large and small that we all experience happen, but it does make it endurable.

And life always circles around to where we are not just getting by, but celebrating again.

"These Three of Swords cards are from the Victorian Romantic Tarot by Karen Mahony and Alex Ukolov at Baba Studio, the Pamela Colman Smith Commemorative deck, and the Aleister Crowley Thoth Tarot, painted by Lady Frieda Harris, trimmed by me, both for US Games."
