GUIDED MEDITATION BY PRIEST
(Meditation will be about our own spiritual harvest. This will conclude with a personal empowerment chant)
Empowerment Chant
(Holding hands, the coven members repeat the following chant until the high priestess decides that enough energy has been raised, and upon her signal everyone will direct a portion of the energy into themselves to help them to develop the inner strength to attain personal spiritual goals.)
Ripen fruit, ripen seed
Harken to my inner need
Communion
(Fruit and Wine, songs, and a good time. Also, each member of the coven will be asked to describe something that they have done in the last liturgical year that has "borne fruit.")
Quarter Banishings
(High Priest)
Facing East: Guardians of the watchtower of the east, return now to the brisk Autumn breezes which are brimming with the excitement of the year's climax. Take with you our blessings and thanks. Hail and farewell!
Responsorial: Hail and farewell!
Facing South: "Guardians of the watchtower of the south, return now to the dying fires of Autumn's heat soon to give way to Winter's chill. Take with you our blessings and thanks. Hail and farewell!
Responsorial: Hail and farewell
Facing West: "Guardians of the watchtower of the west, return now to the Autumn rains which cool the Earth's fevered brow baked in the heat of Summer afternoons. Take with you our blessings and thanks. Hail and farewell!
Responsorial: Hail and farewell!
Facing North: Guardians of the watchtowers of the north, return now to the Earth where worms burrow deeper and seeds nestle awaiting the long sleep of Winter.
Take with you our blessings and thanks. Hail and farewell!
Responsorial: Hail and farewell!
Circle Banishing
(High Priestess)
Equal night and equal day
Soon the light will fade away
Equal day and equal night
This circle fades as does the light
Thus the magick we invoke
Fades anon like wisps of smoke
Until we next decide to play
SO MOTE IT BE!

So many people are lost right now, in a sense, floundering on the sea with broken compasses and no anchor for a stay as the storm fronts roll in. This goes for the saints, too. Within the church, those of us who truly aspire to be found as a Bride worthy of the coming Bridegroom must weather the same storms that are being brought against the church and the world, as righteous judgment sweeps in with increasing fury. What had seemed a month ago like a calm before the storm has passed. Stormy weather has hit, and if you're being buffeted and have maybe capsized a time or two, don't think you're alone. I had given a heads-up about battening down the hatches, and this is why. I see this season's engagements on the fronts of spiritual warfare and struggles with stability in the issues of life are continued preparation, the Lord's good and present provision that is necessary for weathering the next storm front.
As our character, motivations and dedication are tested, it is important to keep a steady focus on the Lord, whose joy is our strength, and His promises to us that are most personal. Cling to them and keep them fresh in your mind.
The spiritual attacks that come are stealthy. We wonder, "Where did that come from?" Curses are sent by our enemies with the intent of taking us out by any means. They come through many kinds of access points targeting the body and the mind and our relationships. After successful attacks, which the Lord allows, a season of damage assessment and "post-mortem" analysis follows as the Lord provides valuable insight into our vulnerabilities. As the Lord sustains us through this season of severe trial, as overcomers we emerge with resolve, to by no means fall for those same dirty tricks again. Hard lessons are necessarily given, so learn them well, my friends. Shore up the defenses. Sharpen up your discernment and wield your offensive weaponry with skill and precision. Ephesians 6:10-20 has much to say about our moment in history.
Perhaps the most painful kind of attack on relationships involves betrayal. What is appointed for the Bride is a betrayal in the most critical season, and she must be prepared for this. I'm convinced it has been prophesied - it will come. This is one of the esoteric interpretations of what happened in Gethsemane. For a lengthy explanation of the setting you can read The Testimony of Gethsemane - Part 2. The separation of the Lord's company when entering Gethsemane dramatically modeled the separation of the church into three companies. The Lord himself modeled his Bride company, and the betrayal by one of his own company led ultimately to death. He was the Pesah lamb, sacrificed. His Bride, too, is being prepared as a sacrifice, and she too will be betrayed at the propitious moment. If this speaks to you as a profound and personal insight, treasure it.
Let's pray for each other. Abide resolutely in submissive and careful obedience. Read the first chapter of James and Hebrews 10 for encouragement. Persevere in doing good as you seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life. This is an expression of our hope.
"...God, 6 who will render to each person according to his deeds: 7 to those who BY PERSEVERANCE IN DOING GOOD seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life; 8 but to those who are selfishly ambitious and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, wrath and indignation. 9 There will be tribulation and distress for every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek, 10 but glory and honor and peace to everyone who does good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 11 For there is no partiality with God." ~ ROMANS 2:5B-11
Do not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.
"7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. 8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. 9 LET US NOT LOSE HEART IN DOING GOOD, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. 10 So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith." ~ GALATIANS 6:7-10
We are but weeks away from the long anticipated 21st of December, 2012. What is known about that day is that it will be met with pagan ritual in high places across the globe, celebrated with drunken orgies and ritual sacrifice. How the fruit of it will manifest I cannot say, but that season will bring a demonic power boost like a supercharged jolt to the agents of our Adversary's kingdom. It will represent a windfall in their capital. What provision the Lord made sustaining us yesterday and today will not be sufficient for that day. Get what the Lord has for you today, with no deficiencies. Press in for it. You will need it.
Blessings in Y'shua, my friends.

In the dying evening light, I walk around the land. This time, I'm not traveling, night ryding or moving between the worlds. No, I'm just watching the peace of the cherry tree as it weeps red gum from open sores in its bark. I move my toes in the low yellowing grass and run my hands over the leaves of pear and plum trees. I pass by the altar in Pomona's Grove, saying little prayers here and there, whispering good things to the pears and plums, urging them to grow full and fat and drop to the ground. I feel this wonderful peace and presence of life that is hard to do in these modern times.
That oneness we feel when we're in our element is a magical thing all by itself. My element is the wild forest and the garden and the river. My sense of oneness with not just nature or the world, but with my own soul happens when I watch the garden bloom, the bees move between the roses and the stripping of fur from flesh and the laying of bones.
We all have our own sense of peace that centers us and makes us powerful- and mine doesn't come from sitting in circles in a dusty room or reading tarot in a stuffy back room somewhere Downtown.
My sense of self, my place of power comes from my feet on green grass, my hands in branches, vines tangling in my wild black hair and gentle sunlight on my skin. Some of us find our place of power inside the home with their tools and cushions and candles. Some of us find our joy in an open field surrounded by friends and fellow pagans. I think this ties back to my post about personal styles of witchcraft and how you work your own path. Where we feel the most powerful is as important or maybe more important as the tools and colors and objects that lend to our sense of stability, focus and empowerment.
I am a woman of the wood that meets the sea and the rivers that bridge these two worlds. I've never been comfortably living away from the sea, I'm lucky to live a few minutes from the sandy shore of the Sound, and this county is pretty much a giant forest with patches of true forest stretching on as far as the eye can see in some places. I feel most powerful in the forests that are by the edge of the water; where you can hear the waves crash and the wild winds howl through the trees. That sacred space, that perfect place where you feel you were meant to be can be that refuge your spirit needs.
What does your sacred space look like? Where is it?

ANNA DRESSED IN BLOOD by Kendare Blake
PUBLICATION DATE: August 30th 2011
GENRE: YA Paranormal/Horror
PAGES: 316
GOODREADS
SUMMARY
JUST YOUR AVERAGE BOY-MEETS-GIRL, GIRL-KILLS-PEOPLE STORY...
Cas Lowood has inherited an unusual vocation: He kills the dead.
So did his father before him, until his gruesome murder by a ghost he sought to kill. Now, armed with his father's mysterious and deadly athame, Cas travels the country with his kitchen-witch mother and their spirit-sniffing cat. Together they follow legends and local lore, trying to keep up with the murderous dead-keeping pesky things like the future and friends at bay.
When they arrive in a new town in search of a ghost the locals call Anna Dressed in Blood, Cas doesn't expect anything outside of the ordinary: move, hunt, kill. What he finds instead is a girl entangled in curses and rage, a ghost like he's never faced before. She still wears the dress she wore on the day of her brutal murder in 1958: once white, but now stained red and dripping blood. Since her death, Anna has killed any and every person who has dared to step into the deserted Victorian she used to call home.
And she, for whatever reason, spares his life.
One cheesy word- Horrorific
Anna Dressed in Blood is a story that turns for the worst. There's actually a couple of plot lines in here and I "so "did not see that coming!?
If you love horror and/or ghostly stories, then get your ass to the book store and buy this bad girl!
Cas travels the world killing the earth bound ghost and when we get to see him in action, it is creepily described perfectly. The scenes keep you on your toes and then you'll be addicted to it in no time.
Starting with action and ending with it, you just won't know what hit you. All the characters are fun and all the ghost legends are even funner. I enjoyed this immensely and I can't wait to see where Kendare Blake is going to take the next. I hope I see a little bit more romance because this series is supposed to have some but I really didn't feel any in this book.
Overall, this extended my expectations more than I thought it would. The detailing was amazing, the dialog I just couldn't get enough, and the shock factor was there face palming you. Plus, reading this at night "actually" freaked me out a little.

WITCHCRAFT FOR TOMORROW ((c) DOREEN VALIENTE)
Here we come a piping,
In Springtime and in May;
Green fruit aripening,
And Winter fled away.
The Queen she sits upon the strand,
Fair as lily, white as wand;
Seven billows on the sea,
Horses riding fast and free,
And bells beyond the sand.
Un himno nuevo entonar'a la sangre;
brotar'an de mi canto lirios blancos.
Ba~nar'e mis cabellos con reflejos de sol;
Cantar'an los minutos mis arterias cansadas.
Ya mi espera se tiende con caminos de luz;
pon a tus pies sandalias tejidas de ilusiones,
que hallar'an primavera cantando plenitud:
Cuando llegues...habr'a germinaci'on en los vergeles
al abrirse mi carne en floraci'on;
