Ethics and Morals Part II-B

Journaling

(c) Shauna McShane

Permission to reproduce as long as proper copyright is given.

Keep a journal about working on the 13 Goals of a Witch. Write down which of the goals you did that day, how it went. Also write down the goals that you did not do, and why you didn't do them.

Some questions to consider: Which goals are easiest for you? Which is most difficult? How can you achieve these goals each day?

The Thirteen Goals of a Witch

By: Scott Cunningham

Know yourself

Who are you? Getting to know who we are is a life time journey. We are always growing and changing. Do you know who you truly are? The exploration of the soul is the most important journey you will ever make.

Know your Craft

The Craft. Many different traditions and ways of worship. Reading the "right"
Keep your thoughts in good order

Fairly self explanatory.

Keep your words in good order

"Speak ye little listen much" is a VERY important lesson. Thinking before you speak is important in all parts of your life, not just your spiritual journey.

Celebrate life

Enjoy life! Every day is a a reason to celebrate, even if you don't believe it is. Remember to look at the good parts of your day, however small, and revel in them.

Attune with the cycles of the Earth

Pagans worship the earth, so we must be in tune with Her and Her cycles. Pay attention to the seasons, the weather. Smell a flower's scent, hug a tree.

Breathe and eat correctly

Learn to breathe correctly, and eat healthy to sustain your body.

Exercise the body

Exercise is good for the mind, body and soul.

Meditate

Meditation is just as important as exercise and proper eating. Quieting the mind can help you tackle things in your mundane and spiritual life that might ordinarily be overwhelming.

Honour the Goddess and God

Honouring the Goddess and God can be as simple as lighting a candle or some incense and saying a quick prayer, or performing a full ritual and feast in Their honour. It is up to you, but it is the best way to become in tune with Deity.

Motivational Monday Reach For The Stars

Motivational Monday Reach For The Stars

Reach for the Stars

Few people are untouched today by economic stress. We're not only confronted with it in the media, but we experience it with virtually every purchase we make.

Most Saturday afternoons my husband and I make a trip to the grocery store for our weekly supplies and food storage items. Recently, after filling our shopping cart and while waiting to be checked out, we watched the cashier totaling the purchases of customers ahead of us. Nearly all were in sizable double-digit figures. We discussed the high cost of food for large families with limited incomes, elderly people with small pensions, and single parents often with uncertain means. We concluded that in most households resources must be managed very carefully in order to meet current demands.

The economic situation today is sobering. It requires us as women to be very resourceful if we are to meet this challenge successfully and at the same time find satisfaction in doing it well.

A young bride went to be with her husband at an army camp on the edge of a desert. Housing was scarce and costly. All they could afford was a small cabin near an Indian village. The 115-degree heat was unbearable in the daytime. The wind blew constantly, spreading dust and sand over everything. The days were long and lonely. When her husband was ordered into the desert for two weeks of maneuvers, she just couldn't bear the living conditions any longer, and she wrote to her mother that she was coming home. An almost immediate reply included these lines:

Two men look out from prison bars;

One saw the mud, the other saw the stars.

She read the lines over and over. All right, she would look for the stars.

She determined to make friends with her neighbors, the Indians. She admired their artful weaving and pottery work and asked them to teach her. As soon as they sensed her interest was genuine, they were most willing. She became fascinated with their culture, their history- everything about them. The desert changed from a desolate, forbidding place to a world of wondrous beauty.

What had changed? Not the desert, not her environment; her own attitude transformed a miserable experience into a highly rewarding one. (From Bits and Pieces, Vol. C no. 5, pp. 21-23.)

How might Relief Society enable a woman to look to the stars-stars to steer by? How might Relief Society enable a woman to create an environment of optimism and adventure, while at the same time helping her stretch her dollars and resources by implementing sound economic principles in the home?

Let me point out a few minicourses each Relief Society unit might hold to help women meet this challenge:

First, home and money management. Wise home and money management instruction should help each sister learn how to bring all expenditures within the family income. It has been thoughtfully said that we should set our scale of living one degree below our means. No longer can we ignore the imperative of this principle.

The first hard rule of fixing our scale of living below our means is to budget, planning first for basic needs and then for other desired items.

We should help all women enjoy the peace of mind that comes from making and following a plan for spending. Their lives will begin to have an aura of serenity when their expenses stay within their income.

Women must learn to budget and to help their children learn to budget also. Women and children should know that, no matter how important or how worthwhile an item might seem to be, if they cannot afford it, it is an unwise expenditure. Such expenditures lead to debt; and unwise debt leads to economic insecurity, which most often causes stress in the family. You can make it easier for your children if you do as Elder Marvin J. Ashton suggests: " 'Save your money' is a hollow pronouncement from a parent to a child. 'Save your money for a mission, a bicycle, a doll house, a trousseau, or a car' makes understandable sense." (Ensign, July 1975, p. 73.)

Living on a budget is not a chore. It need not even be a deprivation. Budgeting should be a great learning experience.

A recently married daughter of a friend wrote her mother, describing how she and her husband were managing to save money on their meager income. She excitedly explained: "I've discovered that often prepared foods are too costly for our budget, so I make most things from 'scratch.' The other night at Relief Society I even learned how to make milk, buttermilk, condensed milk, cottage cheese, yogurt, and creamed cheese from the powdered milk we had stored. It's fun to see how much I can save by doing things myself."

We can teach women to be realistic in money management and still maintain a spirit of resourcefulness and optimism.

Next, a resource management minicourse might be planned. It could enable the sisters to share ways to save energy. For example, car pool or walk whenever possible, wear sweaters, turn down the thermostat a degree or two, open shades when the sun shines and close them at night, turn off the heat or air conditioner when not at home, turn off the lights, and run the dishwasher only with a full load.

Resource management includes wise stewardship of possessions and an appreciation of the value that still remains in some used goods. One stake Relief Society president reported a homemaking meeting where their best seamstress was available to help each woman draft patterns for reusable fabric. This helped the sisters save many dollars and at the same time enjoy lovely additional clothing items.

Other miniclasses on resource management might focus on ways to take better care of clothes-how best to repair, clean, and alter them for longer wear. A miniclass on laundering tips could also add to a woman's understanding of how to add life to fabric. Classes could teach the art of clothing coordination, how to add variety and versatility to everyone's wardrobe so there is less need to purchase complete outfits. In these and other ways Relief Society could teach women to care better for their belongings, thus extending life and serviceability while at the same time bringing satisfaction and pleasure.

If we "make do" creatively, we don't have to do without. We can enrich the lives of our family members at very little cost.

A third minicourse might be on healthful living. Plan ways to help the sisters save money by attaining the best health of which they are capable. Relief Society should provide training to promote physical well-being as the least expensive medical treatment. It doesn't even cost you the price of aspirin. The illness you avoid costs nothing. Good health habits save money. To promote good health, women need to plan nutritious meals. Most of us could have smaller portions of food and still be healthy, but all of us should eat regular, well-balanced meals each day. Relief Society instruction should be designed to help sisters understand and practice the fundamentals of good nutrition. We should learn to prepare economical food that will be both nourishing and appealing. And in keeping with the all-Church effort to reduce cost, we would like to suggest that, although the homemaking meeting continue to be held monthly, the homemaking luncheon be served only six times per year, unless the circumstances of the sisters indicate a special need. We ask each Relief Society president to realize that this is not a time for cookies and punch, but for a social experience that will promote provident living, and that the emphasis be on an economical, nourishing food graciously served that can be easily duplicated in the homes of the sisters.

One basic concept of the welfare system of the Church is to prepare for a time of emergency by careful planning. Relief Society has the capability of helping sisters further this effort by making their homes models of provident living that can meet present need and possible emergencies.

I have thought about the emergency preparation necessary when Noah's ark was made ready. Noah must have achieved the most effective welfare planning in the history of mankind when he very carefully followed the Lord's counsel and built the ark. His wife and their sons undoubtedly worked and planned with him so that the blessings of the Lord might be theirs. Just think of preparing a year's supply for those multitudes of animals which were brought into the ark. Noah and his family must have been able to plan and provide in such a way that they could find pleasure in their efforts (selecting just the right two of each animal), adventure in their voyage (surely there were new little furry creatures almost weekly), and joy as the splendor of the very first rainbow filled the sky, and the Lord's promise was fulfilled.

Could we be as diligent today? Can we as women be accountable and help meet the great challenge of economic stress by our wise stewardship over that with which the Lord has blessed us?

May we look for the stars and find satisfaction, even joy, in living according to the directions of these prophets and Apostles, whom the Lord has chosen to lead us in our day, is my humble prayer, in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Contradictions Limits In Magick

General Magick Discussion Re Contradictionslimits In Magick
Nono. I have an issue in lacking cooth. A happy issue, I would say. Your issue is that you don't know how to take good advice. but then, that's only my opinion, ain't it?

Your question has been answered, brother. In several different ways. If you really just want magick to come easy, I can't help you. My advice would be to get out of your armchair and go and do some actual work. Try a few love spells, work a binding or two, then come to us with results and comparisons. Magick's all about results, after all.

And yes, average magicians get average results. Become a fantastic magician and results will flow like water, trust me.

There's not a lot to say beyond that.

Daily Message July 20 2013

Daily Message July 20 2013
original artwork by: Countess Alexandra

"Success is living up to your potential. That's all. Wake up with a smile and go after life...enjoy it, taste it, smell it, feel it.

- Joe Knapp

Merry Meet and Good Morning :))) Blessings to you and yours for a magickal day today. Today is Saturday, July 20, 2013.

Saturdays are ruled by Saturn. Saturn's seemingly infinite journey around the Sun connects us to a greater world beyond. Today is a day of wisdom and awareness. It's a wonderful day to work on spiritual awareness and connection with the divine. Take some time to meditate today and connect with the universal energy. If you are working with spells today, it's the day to work with spells for overcoming obstacles, neutralizing harmful energy, binding, and banishing. When working with stones today choose to wear turquoise, labradorite, or diamond for protection. Use amethyst in amulets, and lead in talismans.

Tonight's Moon is Waxing Second Quarter in Sagittarius. The Waxing Moon is when the moon is getting larger in the sky, and moving towards the full moon. Itis the ideal time for magick that draws things towards you bringing about positive changes. The Waxing Moon represents the Goddess in her Maiden aspect. The Maiden is all about new beginnings, youthful ideas and enthusiasm. We begin our day with the Moon in Sagittarius. The Moon in Sagittarius encourages flights of imagination and confidence. This is an adventurous, philosophical, and athletic Moon sign. It favors expansion and growth. At 11:01 this morning the Moon begins her journey to Capricorn arriving at 2:40 this afternoon. The Moon is void of course or between signs during this time. During this time we want to minimize our actions involving anything important. This is a good time to read, relax and exercise. The Moon in Capricorn develops strong structure. It's a good time to set boundaries and rules. The magickal color of the day is Gray, and the incense of the day is Sandalwood. Have an amazingly magickal day!

Love and Blessings,

Jasmeine Moonsong

What Are The First Stages Of God's Revelation

7 What Are The First Stages Of God Revelation
(Comp 7) From the very beginning, God manifested himself to our first parents, Adam and Eve, and invited them to intimate communion with himself. After their fall, he did not cease his revelation to them but promised salvation for all their descendants. After the flood, he made a covenant with Noah, a covenant between himself and all living beings.

"In Brief"

(CCC 70) Beyond the witness to himself that God gives in created things, he manifested himself to our first parents, spoke to them and, after the fall, promised them salvation (cf. Gen 3:15) and offered them his covenant. (CCC 71) God made an everlasting covenant with Noah and with all living beings (cf. Gen 9:16). It will remain in force as long as the world lasts.

To deepen and explain

(CCC 54) "God, who creates and conserves all things by his Word, provides men with constant evidence of himself in created realities. And furthermore, wishing to open up the way to heavenly salvation, he manifested himself to our first parents from the very beginning" (DV 3; cf. Jn 1:3; Rom 1:19-20). He invited them to intimate communion with himself and clothed them with resplendent grace and justice. (CCC 55) This revelation was not broken off by our first parents' sin. "After the fall, [God] buoyed them up with the hope of salvation, by promising redemption; and he has never ceased to show his solicitude for the human race. For he wishes to give eternal life to all those who seek salvation by patience in well-doing" (DV 3; cf. Gen 3:15; Rom 2:6-7). Even when he disobeyed you and lost your friendship you did not abandon him to the power of death... Again and again you offered a covenant to man ("Roman Missal", Eucharistic Prayer IV, 118). (CCC 56) After the unity of the human race was shattered by sin God at once sought to save humanity part by part. The covenant with Noah after the flood gives expression to the principle of the divine economy toward the "nations", in other words, towards men grouped "in their lands, each with (its) own language, by their families, in their nations" (Gen 10:5; cf. 9:9-10, 16; 10:20-31).

On reflection

(CCC 57) This state of division into many nations is at once cosmic, social and religious. It is intended to limit the pride of fallen humanity (Cf. Acts 17:26-27), united only in its perverse ambition to forge its own unity as at Babel (Cf. Wis 10:5; Gen 11:4-6). But, because of sin, both polytheism and the idolatry of the nation and of its rulers constantly threaten this provisional economy with the perversion of paganism (Cf. Rom 1:18-25). (CCC 58) The covenant with Noah remains in force during the times of the Gentiles, until the universal proclamation of the Gospel (Cf. Gen 9:16; Lk 21:24; DV 3). The Bible venerates several great figures among the Gentiles: Abel the just, the king-priest Melchisedek - a figure of Christ - and the upright "Noah, Daniel, and Job" (Cf. Gen 14:18; Heb 7:3; Ezek 14:14). Scripture thus expresses the heights of sanctity that can be reached by those who live according to the covenant of Noah, waiting for Christ to "gather into one the children of God who are scattered abroad" (Jn 11:52).

(Next question: What are the next stages of God's Revelation?)

Dark Goddess

Dark Goddess 2
THE DARK GODDESS
by Vicki Noble, from Woman of Power magazine 12:57-59

The Dark Goddess is no lightweight. She promises trouble, an end to form as we have know it, the death of the ego. Her mythology suggests that she is venomous, wrathful, outraged, awake and on fire. She is impersonal, yet she erupts form deep within the human psyche with unexpected passion and rage. She is transform- ation in the extreme, and her power is regenerative and healing. Like a trick- ster, she frees us from the trappings that bind us to your tiny personal worlds;
like a knife she cuts away all that is inessential and untruthful. She shatters structure, disintegrates the personality, destroys form. She liberates and saves, heals and frees.

There is an inherent problem with the reappearance of the Dark Goddess in the world today, and more personally in women's individual lives. When she was repressed, and her priestesses disempowered, she was also "demonized" by the new ruling elite. What had always belonged to Her was the power to interpret and carry out "natural law" in individual and community lives. The powers of life and death were hers, and we humans approached her with awe and respect. When female roles were replaced by male priests and shamans and temples became places where rules and regulations were made and held as 'commandments', the Dark Goddess was maligned and made evil.

Women carry this malignant definition of female power in our cells today. When the Dark Goddess begins to erupt in us, instead of rage at the wrongs that have been done, many women feel guilty and ashamed, as if something 'demonic' were awakening within them. What is this terrible force that makes a woman scream at her lover, rage at the authorities, and rail at God? When the Dark Goddess enters into the lives of even the most 'ordinary' women, She turns them into troublemakers. Certainly the world around us defines Her presence as demonic and destructive. Little old ladies march for abortion; mothers and housewives leave the fold and take up with 'uppity' women; women of all ages and types stop being
'nice'. If ever there was a revolutionary deity, the Dark Goddess is it!

I love the Dark Goddess - worship her, pledge allegiance to the changes She would bring in my life and others - yet when She visits my life, I feel as if I am in an earthquake, a volcano, a tidal wave of terrible proportions. And through Her visitations come the ability to "feel" - on a visceral level, in the body - the creative power and expression of the earth itself. As She says "NO!"
to what was; and "YES!" to what isn't quite yet, She forces us to jump the inevitable gap between the past and the future.

Transformation always involves a death of the old, a moment of total, unknown viodness when we are naturally afraid, and a breathless leap into the renewal when we are "reborn". It is imperative that we surrender to the death and let go into the unknown before we can experience and appreciate the rebirth. It is this amazing doorway between death and rebirth that the Dark Goddess guards.

Essential Condition Of Peace

Essential Condition Of Peace
The cards are not to be sold without the book.

If the book can be printed without illustrations it need not

cost more than [L]300.

If Lady Harris likes, she can give it away with the cards, I do

not want any money out of it: and she can say she wrote it, I don't

care.

But I will not allow the cards to be issued so that they can be

used only for gambling or fortune-telling.

The new catalogue, full of grotesque blunders which discredit

the scholarship of the Work, must be withdrawn.

.PA

[Actually written by Crowley, to himself; the "SOCIETY" is

fictitious as such.]

An open letter to Alestair Crowley

SOCIETY OF HIDDEN MASTERS

Dear Sir

For many years we have watched your career with benevolent

interest; wile we have been unable to approve many of your

activities in particular your policy of revealing secret knowledge

which we consider dangerous if in the possession of untrained and

uninitiated people. We have always respected your passionate

integrity, your fanatical (AND IN OUR OPINION, INDISCREET) love of

Truth.

I our view, this mistaken policy has been responsible for many

of your own personal mishaps. For this reason we re surprised that

you should acquiesce, even by silence, in so blatant and impudent a

hoax as the exhibition of Tarot Cards at the Royal Society of

Painters in Water Colours, 26/7 Conduit Street, W.1. beginning 4th

August 1942.

We hereby challenge you to deny any of the statements here

following:-

1. During the winter of 1898/9 you were entrusted by the Order of

A..A.. with the Secret Lecture on the Tarot, giving the initiated

attributions.

2. You published these attributions at the command of the Secret

Chiefs of the order in a Book of Reference numbered 777 in 1909.

3. You issued the Official Lecture of the Order on the Tarot, in the

Equinox Vol. I Nos VII and VIII, March and September 1912.

4. You have made the Tarot your continual study and used it daily,

since the Winter of 1898/9.

5. You have made the Tarot the skeleton or schema of all your

writings on mystical and magical subjects. We would instance

particularly "AMBROSIA", "MAGI HORTUS ROSARUM" (THE WAKE-WORLD),

"THE VISION AND THE VOICE", "THEORY AND PRACTICE OF MAGICK".

6. You have been recognized everywhere in Europe and America (even,

to a less extent, in India
) as the supreme Authority on the Tarot;

that is, by serious students of the subject.

7. You have contemplated the construction and publication of a

properly designed and executed pack, based on the Equinox

information ever since the issue of the grotesque and falsified

parody which appeared under the auspices of the later A.E. Waite.

6. In a series of conversations in 1937 beginning at Mr. Clifford

Bax' chambers in Albany St., W.1., you suggested to Lady Harris that

she might be able to carry out this work. Although she very rightly

protested that her knowledge of the subject hardly extended beyond

the name, you, with the imbecile optimism characteristic of you,

persuaded her that the descriptions of the cards given in the

Equinox would be sufficient guide, and persuaded her to make the

attempt.

9. It became obvious almost at once that the Equinox designs were

artistically impracticable. Lady Harris very properly asked you to

take the whole subject in hand ab ovo esque ad umbilicum. You

thereupon agreed to devote your whole knowledge to the work of

designing an entirely original pack of cards, incorporating the

results of your 39 years of constant study of the subject with your

profound-if at times unacceptably unorthodox-knowledge of

comparative religion, mathematical physics, philosophy and Magick.

Also nthat you should compose a Treatise explaining the subject in

full. It appears from a notice in the Exhibition that there is a

proposal to publish the cards as a pack without this book. To do so

would limit their use to fortune-telling, a form of fraud against

which you have constantly set your face your whole life long. We

refuse to believe that you have now consented to prostitute the

Sacred Wisdom of Thoth to this base and dishonest purpose and we

insist upon this point being made clear.

10. On May 11, 1938, Lady Harris became officially your disciple,

and was permitted to affiliate to the other Order of which you are

Head, the O.T.O.

11. You made an agreement with Lady Harris by which you were to have

a 66 2/3% interest in the work.

12. For the next four years approximately, Lady Harris prepared

water-colours of the cards. She did this from your rough sketches

and descriptions under your continual direction, subject to your

constant and repeated corrections. In some cases you made her redraw

and re-paint a card which you found unsatisfactory as many as five

or six times. She has, when left to herself, no sense of dignify or

congruity; one of us has seen some attempts which you rejected, for

instance, her ideal figure for "THE FOOL", the Holy Ghost, was Harpo

Marx. Did you really pass this and Trump I? She gave the Sphinx in

Trump X a French cabahy sabre! And her first conception of "The Lord

of the Winds and the Breezes; the King of the Spirits of the Air
",

was a clown in plate armour, waving rapier and dagger, sprawling

over a demented nag, diving through a paper screen in a circus!

13. You left Lady Harris a comparatively free hand in respect of

insignificant details; but at no time did she contribute a single

idea of any kind to any card, and she is in fact almost as ignorant

of the Tarot and its true meaning and use as when she began. We

cannow however, blame you for this.

14. You have followed with as much fidelity as was possible the

traditional designs of the mediaeval packs; but you have notably

enriched and revivified some of them, especially the Trumps, with

your scholarship, as observed above in paragraph 9.

15. In every trump you have not only incorporated symbols

illustrating the doctrines of Payne Knight, Hargrave Jennings,

Arthur Eddington, J.G. Frazer, Bertrand Russell, J.W.N. Sullivan,

Eliphaz Levi and how many others! -but introduced very many ideas

purely personal to yourself and based on your own personal magical

experience-see "THE VISION AND THE VOICE", "THE PARIS WORKING" etc.

16. In certain cases, in order to make sure that your doctrine of

the New Aeon is clearly manifest as the spiritual-magical basis of

the whole work, you have given new names to the cards. Notably

Trumps XI, XIV, and numerous "SMALL" cards. You have made the final

correction to the attributions-Trumps IV and XVII, according to the

Book fo the Law given to you in Cairo April 8, 9, and 10 1904. You

have used "THE STELE OF REVEALING" (SEE "THE BOOK OF THE LAW" Chap.

I 49, III 19
) to replace "THE LAST JUDGMENT" (TRUMP XX) to affirm

the supersession of the Aeon of Osiris the Dying God by that of

Horus the Crowned and Conquering Child. The entire composition is

soaked in and reeks of your own private and personal point of view

with regard to Magick.

17. You undertook this Work with two main motives:-

1. That it should serve as a Magical Atlas of and Guide to the

Universe, for this "NEW AEON OF HORUS", that is, for the next

2,000 years.

2. That its undeniable beauty and majesty should be an

intelligible vindication of the whole of your life's work.

You rightly foresaw that sooner or later it would be clear

that you are the sole responsible author of the Work and Lady

Harris only your more or less docile and intelligent

instrument.

18. You and Lady Harris were at first agreed that the Work should be

put forth anonymously. She wrote to a friend "I intend to remain

anonymous when the cards are shown
". You had, of course, pointed out

that any student of the subject would recognise your authorship at a

glance.

19. Too well aware that in the past your work has been stolen and

exploited by unscrupulous rascals and also that doctrinal argument

of a lightly technical kind may all too frequently prove rather hard

for a jury, you took the precaution of introducing certain symbols

into the designs of susch a character that the most stupid would be

compelled to acknowledge your authorship of the Work.

Your conduct is abominable and inexcusable to allow Lady Harris

to issue a catalogue crammed with the grossest errors of fact,

blunders of scholarsip, irrelevancies and absurdities; to allow her

to make herself the laughing-stock of London by larying claim to the

authorship of pictures of which all artists know her to be utterly

incapable, her work having been that of a wealthy amateur persistent

enough to acquire a good technique but with no personality, no

"MESSAGE" groping in Bloomsbury forgs for the parasitic adulation of

a gaggle of sycophants.

We can understand your passionate wish to get these cards

exhibited, even by a subterfuge, but you had no right to sacrifice

Lady Harris and you have no right to lend yourself, even by silence

to the perpetration of a hoax transparent and nausient as it must

naturally be, which affects the honour of the Fraternity of Art and

Letters.

We repeat that we are surprised; for whatever your faults, you

have always been honourable and truthful with more than ancient

Roman rigour. You must speak now.

for the Society of Hidden Masters.

[1st page of letter missing-this is Crowley's "REPLY" to the letter

from the Society of Hidden Masters.]

Their estimate in paragraph 6 is exaggerated: it depends on the

definition of "serious students."

Nor would it be useful to deny them, as in every case their

truth is guaranteed by evidence independent of my asseveration,

internal evidence of documents easily accessible.

"I do however most strenuously deny participation in the hoax.

This was perpetrated by Lady Harris without my knowledge or consent;

I only learnt of the exhibitions, in the first case several days

after the opening, from information supplied by loyal friends.

This letter is to authorize and to request you to publicize its

substance, either by a letter addressed to the Times and other

newspapers, or as you in your best judgment may see fit.

Believe me,

Gentlemen,

Yours faithfully,

True Love Perfect Lover Magick

True Love Perfect Lover Magick
Neopagan without a doubt, by the inclusion of Aphrodite and a request to be together "within this lifetime" (as if even Ancient Greeks believed in reincarnation.) It uses the Gamache style traveling candle ritual.

Equipment Needed:

Two candles: One white, One in your favorite color

Two candle holders

A rose colored altar cloth

A piece of red chalk

Timing:

This love spell can be performed at any time. I usually find that the evening is the best. When your mind is clear and open, hold the candle of your favorite color: this represents you. Meditate, then speak aloud all the qualities and energies you are willing to bring to an intimate relationship. Replace that candle on the altar, and pick up the white one. This represents your ideal partner. Speak aloud the essential qualities you desire in a mate, and ask Aphrodite to bring you together in this lifetime.

Now place the two candles in their holders at opposite ends of the altar. Draw a heart on the center with the red chalk, large enough for both candle holders. Each day thereafter, meditate on the perfect loving relationship for a few minutes, and move the two candles an inch close together. If you started on the new moon, then by full moon the candles should be touching in the center of the heart. When they meet, draw two more hearts around the first one, raise energy by singing your favorite love song, and charge the candles.

This spell was found at Everything Under the Moon.

THE PURPOSE OF THIS MEETING IS TO WEAVE SPELLS; FOR EXAMPLES WITCHES CAST SPELLS TO SEVER SOUR RELATIONSHIPS AND END BAD SITUATIONS. IF POSSIBLE WITCHES SHOULD CREATE SUCH DESTRUCTIVE SPELLS DURING THE WANING PHASE OF THE MOON.

While the three witches in Shakespeare's Macbeth were concerned with predicting the future (Double, double toil and trouble). At Halloween, a coven of witches traditionally focuses their attention on the spirits of the dead. Indeed, this is where the black cat comes into the legend, for it is believed that a witch can turn into a black cat and thus freely enter the spirit world. Witches use the powers of the waxing moon to improve the efficacy of good luck spells. For example, they use white candles for positive energy and green candles for healing. Here is a witches spell to cure nightmares: repeat this incantation 13 times:'Red leaves, gift from earth,

Birth to death and death to birth,

Keep all evil far away,

Day to night and night to day.'HERE IS A FAMOUS WITCHES POEM - THE WITCHING HOUR BY JOHN KEATSTis the witching hour of night,

Jezebel Vs Sarah The Power Of Submission

Part 13 Jezebel Vs Sarah The Power Of Submission
If you're interested in review or in sharing this particular series of posts with others, here's a page where each post is linked: Series Links: Jezebel vs Sarah.

As you read, let me again ask that you please be patient with this work, as it unfolds here and in your life.

Continuing from the last post, where do we go after having already come to the bottom line on this whole Jezebel vs Sarah contrast? We walk it out, with the Bridegroom in mind and the hope of being found attractive and worthy before us.

I wrote how that 1 Peter 3:6 presents the model for wives ("Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord") as a parable about the Bride of Christ, but that it's not "merely" a parable. Sarah's obedience, even calling her husband, lord, is an example that is followed by wives who trust God, being in subjection to their husbands. The way of playing church that so many of us are coming out of is a way of make-believe instead of "believe," or trust. We must not deceive ourselves into thinking this matter at hand is theory or an academic exercise. We can't cheat, the Lord won't be fooled. There is no loophole. Don't be a lurker, here, or just a critic. Walk it out in practice and pay the price in shoe leather. The cross and the death of the flesh is before us. And, may I say, Hallelujah! I sure need it, and so do you!

You'll notice I am focusing most of the attention so far on what is required of women. What you should realize is that gender commands in the Bible are biased in content quantity towards women. While it's easier for those who are eager to shine the spotlight of inspection in another direction by dismissing this as a case of Bob, Peter and Paul being gender biased, when the profound secret of Ephesians 5 has really been demystified you will appreciate the extra attention given to how women and wives should behave. I want to see myself in it because I want to be attractive as adorned with the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, trusting God in subjection to my own Husband, Y'shua! I'm hoping you do too! A man should go before his wife, first in humility. If he doesn't, and the wife is faithful to what is required of her, the husband will be humbled, make no mistake.

Is God cruel towards women? Many say, yes. I bet not. I believe he has something wonderful in mind.

8) Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

9) And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

Hebrews 5:8-9

Ladies, is the Lord going to make everything smooth and easy for you? Don't bet on it. I've never been a woman so I can't speak as one, but I know a few. I am a man, and it's my testimony that learning obedience is a good and necessary thing; far from easy but worth it.

11) But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.

12) And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

Matthew 23:11-12

If the truth of the above passage can be denied, the wife as servant model might seem like something quite unappealing, but, when accepted as true, the model appointed to the wife may be seen as one of honor. Men and women both should make note of this, and it will be well with us to keep it in mind. The Bride, who subjects herself willingly and fully, will be exalted. So it is with wives. So it is, too, with every man, woman and child.

Let's return once again to 1 Peter 3 to consider what it looks like when a woman trusts God, being subject to her own husband.

1) In like manner, the wives, be ye subject to your own husbands, that even if certain are disobedient to the word, through the conversation [Strong's G391 - anastrophe: manner of life, conduct, behaviour, deportment] of the wives, without the word, they may be won,

2) having beheld your pure behaviour [anastrophe] in fear,

1 Peter 3:1-2 (YLT)

The NASB offers, "even if any of them are disobedient to the word, they may be won without a word. WAIT? Did Peter actually write, "won WITHOUT A WORD"? Peter had the audacity to write such a thing as that? What was he thinking? Was he an imbecile? Didn't he realize that a woman's tongue may be her greatest weapon? Surely he hated women. Who would want to be his wife and be so abused and devalued? Without a word. Absurd. Ludicrous. "Ok, I'm play-acting here. But, really, this is a common kind of response. When I propose such a thing, repeating the testimony of the scripture, I get this response, and so will you. In our culture today, how could anyone expect such a thing to be taken seriously. Yet, what if the Lord who actually gave the command isn't insane or evil? What if He actually requires obedience instead of lip-service? What if we actually are under a curse because of disobedience with regard to such a command? What if Y'shua is going to use this kind of criteria when He chooses His Bride?

"Without a word." Oh, boy. What a set-up. What a trap! He's got the woman right where He wants her! Dependent! That's right. No, not on her husband, let's not be short-sighted and focused merely on the natural. The dependency is upon God. In the natural, yes, "she is indeed" dependent upon her husband. If there is no God, or no trust in God, the woman is in a real pickle. Do you see it? That's the point! Women who have not faith in God struggle and strive against this.

Jezebel (as any carnal worldly minded woman) HATES being put in such a spot. She will NOT abide it because she operates not by trust in God but the appearance of it. Yet, a dependent woman who abides so faithfully may become the daughter of Sarah. This is the correct model of the Bride of Christ, of those proven dependent, and willing to be dependent. The model of Jezebel is that of Mystery Babylon, the rebellious harlot church.

In 1 Peter 3:2, a very important point must be made. The fear evident when beholding the wife's pure behaviour is not the fear of her husband, for this is a woman who trusts God.

"And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."

Matthew 10:28

A powerfully effective witness in a marriage relationship is that where a wife trusts God, being in subjection to her husband. In the fear of God, she refrains from speaking even a word of correction to him, "even if certain are disobedient to the word."

It's on this point where the enemy focuses attacks with subtle deception, "even if certain are disobedient to the word." That leaves no way out of dependence, so it must be cloaked as in a dark mist. I fielded a comment recently that recalled a familiar rationalization used to justify disobedience. There are many such kinds. Here is the comment.

"This is good! Can you please also speak to us regarding the verse that says 'we ought to obey God and not man'? As a female, I am often confronted with this verse by well meaning sisters who say that if my husband (a believer) is asking me to do something (i.e. go to a movie that may have violence or bad language) and I feel it is not appropriate for a believer, I should put my foot down and say "no" whether he likes it or not. What are your thoughts?"

Should the church put her foot down before Christ, drawing the line? If the church sets limits and boundaries, Christ is no head. This is Mystery Babylon, what rebellious Jezebel models. There is in that no trust in God, no fear of God, because there is no subjection at all, only the show of it where it conveniently serves Jezebel's level of comfort and personal agenda. It has been oft said that the road to hell is paved with good intentions, and that adage most certainly applies here.

The enemy knows a good trap. The trap is set, presenting a truth. "We ought to obey God and not man." Certainly. The trap is immediately sprung by twisting a truth into a lie. The lie tempts the woman to sin. If she draws the line she actually disobeys God and obeys man, seizing her husband's authority, even Christ's! She trusts herself, which is more honestly trusting the lies of demons, the rebels Jezebel and Satan. It's a clever trap. Women fall for it, and when the hapless husband, if he's the average believer, hears that rationale, even knowing he's just been kicked to the curb can seldom offer an effective counter measure.

Let's be clear. Am I actually suggesting that the woman draw no line and never put her foot down? Actually, I'm stating pretty plainly that a wife should not even speak a word of correction. I'm simply repeating the clear declaration of the scripture.

Remember, wives be subject to your own husbands, meaning, "IN LIKE MANNER" as a servant to their master. This draws directly upon 1 Peter 2.

18) Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.

19) For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.

20) For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.

21) For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

22) Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

23) Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:

24) Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

25) For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

1 Peter 2:18-25

You may think, "Oh, Bob, you can't be serious." I am, and those who desire to be found worthy of the Lord at His coming must be serious. I'm not writing this to the fainthearted compromising pseudo-saints committed to Babylon and her daughters. How can we expect to be found worthy when we don't trust Him? That's what this is about! Do we really trust Him, or just make the claim as it seems convenient? Will not the unworthy with hypocrites be cast into outer darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth?

Let me explain the dynamic here, as the understanding has been given to me. As a hypothetical case, suppose a man asks his saintly wife to wear something quite immodest and appear with him in public, decked out even with braids, gold and pearls. She trusts God, and therefore doesn't offer a single word of complaint. Without deliberating on what she should do or even thinking to argue, she complies. She would no more argue with him or seek to correct her head than to argue with or correct his head, Christ. So, off they go. Maybe. Or, possibly, they won't even get that far.

Now, think about it. If the Lord is just and mighty, seeking an obedient child, how is He going to respond to this situation? For woman who take such matters into her own hands, rebelling and usurping her husband's and your own authority, the Lord is under no obligation except to grant demons the authority of the appropriate curses for rebellion. However, for such a woman who has faith, when not a word is spoken because she fears God rather than men and submits to humble obedience, for a woman such as this, He is obliged to respond. At some point, He will encourage obedience and acknowledge this genuine love with a great shower of passionate love! At the first, He is likely to let that woman be humiliated. Otherwise, how can he prove her sincerity. This is how it is with training in discipline. Yet, if that woman proves her love, persisting in obedience, she will find this great faith rewarded beyond measure!

So far as the husband is concerned, how will it go with him, who might command such a precious saint as that as an abusive master. Will not the fear of God come upon him? I say, yes! The husband will know the fear of God whether he lives or dies, because the Lord is just! When I read from 1 Peter 3:2, "having beheld your pure behaviour in fear" I cannot say the fear of God must only apply to the obedient wife. I believe it applies also to the husband!

When we are humbled will we not be exalted, if we abide according to His commands? I pray that the lies of the enemy that have overwhelmed us and robbed us of faith and of the true beauty of adornment with a meek and quiet spirit, which is, before God, of great price, will be overcome with discipleship in Truth. May the love of the Bridegroom be manifested in His beloved as they abide in Him, subject in all things.

Burned Celtic Wheel Cross Triple Moon

Burned Celtic Wheel Cross Triple Moon Goddess Figures With Horned God

MEANING:

Coop's carving of the pre-christian Celtic Wheel Cross symbolizes the four elements; air, fire, water and earth, the Triskelion in the center stands for the aspects of the Threefold Goddess; Maiden, Mother, Crone.

The wood burning of the horned moon, antlers and oak represent the Lord of the Forest, Green Man, Cernunnos, the primal, active force within all things, consort of the Goddess, balancing symbol of male energy in the divine. The band between the Horned God and the Maiden Goddess has Oak in Bloom while the band between the Crone and the Horned God has the fully developed acorn.

The 3 phases of the moon are held by Goddess figures. The figures represent the phase of the Goddess as the Maiden is slender with high breast, Mother is fuller hipped and breasted, Crone is wider and lower breasted, reflecting and celebrating the changes of our bodies throughout our lives. The entwining Moonflower in it's different states (blooming, flowering, and seedpods) flow between the bands reflect the phases of the Maiden, Mother, Crone.

Please note, this is a picture of a stock item that will be may have to be custom made for you and may take up to two weeks to produce. The wood burning will be slightly different from piece to piece, but it will contain the major themes mentioned above. If you wish to see exactly what you are getting, please look at other wood burnings that have OOAK (Original One of A Kind) in the item name.

The back of each arm is keyholed so you have the option of hanging it with any sign dominant.

THE CARVING:

My Carvings are single pieces of western red cedar, designed and carved to be wall hangings. Each piece is finished with a blend of clear oils that brings out the natural color of the wood. For more information on the process of creation, please see my profile.

Offerings To The Gods

Offerings To The Gods
In many pagan and wiccan traditions, it's not uncommon to make some sort of offering or sacrifice to the gods. Bear in mind that despite the reciprocal nature of our relationship with the divine, it's not a matter of "I'm offering you this stuff so you'll grant my wish." It's more along the lines of "I honor you and respect you, so I'm giving you this stuff to show you how much I appreciate your intervention on my behalf."

So the question arises, then, of what to offer them? Different types of deities seem to respond best to different kinds of offerings. For example, you wouldn't offer flowers to a war god, would you? When making an offering, it's important to think about what the god represents. The Roman Cato described an offering for agricultural prosperity: Make offerings to keep your oxen in good health. Make the following sacrifices to Mars... three pounds of wheat, four-and-a-half of lard, four-and-a-half of meat and three pints of wine. While it's probably not necessary to go that far and offer up enough food to feed a small army to your god, the passage does illustrate the fact that our ancestors thought enough of their gods to take their offerings very seriously.

In general, bread, milk and wine are nearly always appropriate for any deity. Here are some ideas for specific offerings you can make to deities, based upon the types of gods they are:

Hearth and Home Gods:

* Food: Bread and grains, cooking oil, salt

* Drink: Milk, wine, cider

* Herbs: Rosemary, thyme

Gods of Love and Passion:

* Food: Eggs, honey, apples

* Drink: Wine, fruit juice

* Herbs: Lavender, sandalwood

Garden/Nature Deities:

* Food: Bread, cornmeal, fruit

* Drink: Milk, water

* Herbs: Bay

Gods of Prosperity and Abundance:

* Food: Grains, dairy products like cheese or eggs

* Drink: Milk, beer

* Herbs: Mint, pennyroyal, catnip

Ancestor Spirits:

* Food: Any meal from your family's table

* Drink: Drinks from the family table

* Herbs: Sage, sweetgrass

Childbirth or Fertility Godesss:

* Food: Eggs, baked sweets like cookies

* Drink: Milk (including breast milk)

* Herbs: Rose, sandalwood, apple blossoms

Mob Mentality

Mob Mentality
This was another interesting column in the New York Times about the history, origins, and power of fear + mob mentality in the U.S. Normal people sometimes don't like sociopaths because they don't like feeling that they are just a patsy to the sociopath's intrigues. They are hyper focused on thinking that the sociopath is the root to their problems. It may or may not be true that sociopaths are to blame for as many problems for which they are blamed. Historically, however, it is this fear, suspicion, and hate of "others" that not only perpetuates negative stereotypes to the utter disregard of reality, but leaves people open to be a further patsy to those who would capitalize off of their fear. These opportunists may include political or religious leaders, bosses and neighbors, and anyone else that would use your fear to drive their own ascension to power, or even turn other people's fears against you. Here are excerpts from the column:

A radio interviewer asked me the other day if I thought bigotry was the only reason why someone might oppose the Islamic center in Lower Manhattan. No, I don't. Most of the opponents aren't bigots but well-meaning worriers - and during earlier waves of intolerance in American history, it was just the same.

Screeds against Catholics from the 19th century sounded just like the invective today against the Not-at-Ground-Zero Mosque. The starting point isn't hatred but fear: an alarm among patriots that newcomers don't share their values, don't believe in democracy, and may harm innocent Americans.

Followers of these movements against Irish, Germans, Italians, Chinese and other immigrants were mostly decent, well-meaning people trying to protect their country. But they were manipulated by demagogues playing upon their fears - the 19th- and 20th-century equivalents of Glenn Beck.

Most Americans stayed on the sidelines during these spasms of bigotry, and only a small number of hoodlums killed or tormented Catholics, Mormons or others. But the assaults were possible because so many middle-of-the-road Americans were ambivalent.

Suspicion of outsiders, of people who behave or worship differently, may be an ingrained element of the human condition, a survival instinct from our cave-man days. But we should also recognize that historically this distrust has led us to burn witches, intern Japanese-Americans, and turn away Jewish refugees from the Holocaust.

Historically, unreal suspicions were sometimes rooted in genuine and significant differences. Many new Catholic immigrants lacked experience in democracy. Mormons were engaged in polygamy. And today some extremist Muslims do plot to blow up planes, and Islam has real problems to work out about the rights of women. The pattern has been for demagogues to take real abuses and exaggerate them, portraying, for example, the most venal wing of the Catholic Church as representative of all Catholicism - just as fundamentalist Wahabis today are caricatured as more representative of Islam than the incomparably more numerous moderate Muslims of Indonesia (who have elected a woman as president before Americans have).

During World War I, rumors spread that German-Americans were poisoning food, and Theodore Roosevelt warned that "Germanized socialists" were "more mischievous than bubonic plague."

Anti-Semitic screeds regularly warned that Jews were plotting to destroy the United States in one way or another. A 1940 survey found that 17 percent of Americans considered Jews to be a "menace to America."

Chinese in America were denounced, persecuted and lynched, while the head of a United States government commission publicly urged in 1945 "the extermination of the Japanese in toto." Most shamefully, anti-Asian racism led to the internment of 110,000 Japanese-Americans during World War II.

All that is part of America's heritage, and typically as each group has assimilated, it has participated in the torment of newer arrivals - as in Father Charles Coughlin's ferociously anti-Semitic radio broadcasts in the 1930s. Today's recrudescence is the lies about President Obama's faith, and the fear-mongering about the proposed Islamic center.

But we have a more glorious tradition intertwined in American history as well, one of tolerance, amity and religious freedom. Each time, this has ultimately prevailed over the Know Nothing impulse.

Americans have called on moderates in Muslim countries to speak out against extremists, to stand up for the tolerance they say they believe in. We should all have the guts do the same at home. This is why I am anxious in crowds. This is why I am a libertarian. I think I have a healthy fear of persecution that helps constrain any inclination to persecute others. Similarly, I wouldn't mind if the tables were turned on some of those people who are so sure that they know what's right and best for everyone. Maybe if they were on the receiving end of persecution themselves, they wouldn't be so self-satisfied. But I am glad that with the prohibitions on women wearing face veils in France, protests against a Muslim community center in New York, etc., people who would normally consider themselves open minded, inherently "good" and "wise" individuals with clear definitions of "right" and "wrong" are being faced to stare down the barrel of reality.

I smell change.

Rede And Charge

Rede And Charge

THE REDE AND THE CHARGE

The Wiccan Rede is a moral guide to which Wiccans hold themselves

accountable. Similar to an earlier writing by Aleister Crowley, "Do what thou

wilt shall be the whole of the Law,
" was transmuted to read, "And ye harm

none, do what thou wilt,
" and is now the most commonly accepted version of

the Wiccan Law. It was adopted because it represents some of the most

fundamental Wiccan principles, having made its way into the following poem.

The Law is about self-accountability, self-responsibility, and above all,

self-awareness. It speaks of the need to be more aware of the fact that what

we do affects other people and living things. Wicca does not restrict us to a set

of defined guidelines. We are of our own command, but the underlying principle

is that what we do should not hurt others.

A frequently overlooked principle of the Rede is that harming none

includes not harming ourselves. Even knowing this, many Wiccans do not take

an active part in keeping themselves from harm. We may not inflict intentional

physical pain upon ourselves, but we would do better to take care of our bodies.

Once the body is exhausted beyond its means, the spark of life cannot

continue.

THE WICCAN REDE

And ye harm none, do what thou wilt.

THE WICCAN REDE

Extended Version 1

Bide in the Wiccan Law ye must,

In perfect love and perfect trust.

Eight words the Wiccan Rede fulfill:

An ye harm none, do what ye will.

Ever mind the Rule of Three:

What ye send out, comes back to thee.

Follow this with mind and heart,

And merry ye meet, and merry ye part.

(Author unknown)

THE WICCAN REDE

Extended Version 2

Bide ye the Wiccan laws ye must, in perfect love and perfect trust.

Ye must live and let live, fairly take and fairly give.

Cast the circle thrice about, to keep unwelcome spirits out.

To bind the spell well every time, let the spell be spake in rhyme.

Soft of eye and light of touch, speak ye little and listen much.

Deosil1 goes by waxing moon, chanting out the Wiccan rune.

Widdershins2 go by waning moon, chanting out the baneful tune.

When the Lady's moon is new, kiss the hand to Her times two.

When the moon rides at Her peak, then the heart's desire seek.

Heed the North wind's mighty gale, lock the door and trim the sail.

When the wind comes from the South, love will kiss thee on the mouth.

When the moor wind blows from the West, departed spirits have no rest.

When the wind blows from the East, expect the new and set the feast.

Nine woods in the cauldron go, burn them quick and burn them slow.

Elder be the Lady's tree, burn it not or cursed ye'll be.

When the Wheel begins to turn, let the Beltane fires burn.

When the Wheel has turned to Yule, light the log and the Horned One rules.

Heed ye flower, bush and tree, by the Lady blessed be.

Where the rippling waters go, cast a stone, the truth to know.

When ye have and hold a need, hearken not to other's greed.

With a fool no seasons spend, or be counted as his friend.

Merry meet and merry part, bright the cheeks and warm the heart.

Mind the Threefold Law ye should, three times bad and three times good.

When misfortune is now, wear the blue star on thy brow.

True in love ye must ever be, lest they love be false to thee.

These eight words the Wiccan Rede fulfill: "An harm ye none, do what thou

will."

THE CHARGE OF THE GODDESS

Listen to the words of the Great Mother, she who was of old also called among

mortals Artemis, Astarte, Athene, Dione, Melusine, Aphrodite, Kali Ma,

Cerridwen, Isis, Arianrhod, Brigid, and by many other names:

"Whenever you have need of anything, once in the month, and better it be

when the Moon is full, then shall ye assemble in some secret place and call

upon the spirit of me who is Queen of all the Witches. There shall ye assemble,

ye who are fain to learn all sorcery yet have not won its deepest secrets; to

these I will teach things that are as yet unknown. And ye shall be free from

slavery, and as a token that ye be truly free, ye shall be naked in your rites.

Dance, sing, feast, make music and love, all in My praise. For Mine is the

ecstasy of the spirit and Mine is also joy on earth. My law is love unto all

beings.

"Keep pure your highest ideals; strive ever toward them, let naught turn you

aside, for Mine is the secret door which opens upon the door of youth. And Mine

is the cup of the Wine of Life and Cauldron of Cerridwen, which is the Holy Grail

of immortality. I am the gracious Goddess, who gives the gift of joy unto the

hearts of men and women. Upon Earth I give knowledge of the spirit eternal

and beyond death I give peace, freedom, and reunion with those who have

gone before. Nor do I demand sacrifice, for behold, I am the Mother of all

things, and My love is poured out upon the Earth."

"Hear ye the words of the Star Goddess, She in the dust of whose feet are the

hosts of heaven, whose body encircles the universe:

"I am the beauty of the green Earth and the white Moon among the stars and

the mysteries of the waters. I call unto thy soul, arise and come unto Me, for I

am the soul of nature who gives life to the universe. From Me all things proceed

and to Me all must return. And before My face, beloved of gods and humans, let

thine innermost divine self be enfolded in the rapture of the Infinite.

"Let my worship be within the heart that rejoices, for all acts of love and

pleasure are My rituals. Therefore let there be beauty and strength, power and

compassion, honor and humility, mirth and reverence within you. And thou who

thinkest to seek Me, know that seeking and yearning shall avail thee not, unless

thou knowest the Mystery: if that which thou seekest, thou findest not within

thee, thou shalt never find it without. For, behold, I have been with thee from

the beginning, and I am that which is attained at the end of desire."

THE CHARGE OF THE GOD

Listen to the words of the Great Father, who of old was called Osiris, Adonis,

Zeus, Thor, Pan, Cernunnos, Herne, Lugh, and by many other names:

"My Law is Harmony with all things. Mine is the secret that opens the gates of

life and mine is the dish of salt of the earth that is the body of Cernunnos that

is the eternal circle of rebirth. I give the knowledge of life everlasting, and

beyond death I give the promise of regeneration and renewal. I am the

sacrifice, the father of all things, and my protection blankets the earth."

"Hear the words of the dancing God, the music of whose laughter stirs the

winds, whose voice calls the seasons:

"I who am the Lord of the Hunt and the Power of the Light, sun among the

clouds and the secret of the flame, I call upon your bodies to arise and come

unto me. For I am the flesh of the earth and all its beings. Through me all

things must die and with me are reborn. Let my worship be in the body that

sings, for behold all acts of willing sacrifice are my rituals. Let there be desire

and fear, anger and weakness, joy and peace, awe and longing within you. For

these too are part of the mysteries found within yourself, within me, all

beginnings have endings, and all endings have beginnings."
