In ZECHARIAH CHAPTER 11, we are given a most valuable glimpse of OUR OWN CURRENT EVENTS from the perspective of ZECHARIAH THE PROPHET... and while, THE FOCUS OF THIS CHAPTER is primarily upon THE PEOPLE OF: LATTER DAY" CANAAN" [ The United States Of America ] and "ISRAEL" [ The People Of Bible Belt ] - its actual and highly important message also pertains to "THE ENTIRE EARTH" in general! Meanwhile, THE TRUE KEY is to be clearly found within: " THE PROPHECY OF THE SHEPHERDS " - that begins with VERSE 4.
Who, or what, are those ' THREE SHEPHERDS '? Well, that's actually simple... but, you're not going to like THE TRUTHFUL ANSWER, that I'll honestly have to give you... after all, THE TRUTH IS NEVER POPULAR! Therefore, without further commentary, let's examine these PROPHETICAL SCRIPTURES recounting: " THE DESOLATION OF LATTER DAY CANAAN "...

" OPEN YOUR DOORS [ GREATLY WEAKEN YOUR OWN NATION ], O LEBANON [ YOU POWERFUL ARYAN PEOPLE ], "THAT FIRE MAY DEVOUR YOUR CEDARS" [ For, I Have Pronounced Your Impending National Judgment ].WAIL, O CYPRUS [ You Descendants Of Tyre ], for "THE CEDAR" [ Your Main Mast ] has fallen, And because "THE MIGHTY TREES" [ YOUR: "GREAT" And "POWERFUL MEN" ] are ruined [ Have All Been Led Greatly Astray ]. But [ Instead Of These Things ], he will eat the flesh of the fat [ Among The Wicked Ones ] and tear their hooves in pieces [ Accelerating Their Own Political Demise ].WOE TO THE WORTHLESS SHEPHERD [ Who Serves Only Himself ], And who leaves the flock [ When This Day Of Punishment Comes ]! A sword shall be against his arm [ His Own Followers Shall Seek His Life ], And against his right eye [ My Own Spirit Shall Not Factually Assist Him ]; His arm shall completely wither [ He Shall Be Utterly Powerless To Defend Himself ], And his right eye [ The Spiritually Discerning One ] shall be totally blinded [ Without Any True Scriptural Perception ]. " - "ZECHARIAH 11:1-17".
As you can see, brothers and sisters, THERE ARE TWO DISTINCT MESSAGES FOUND IN ZECHARIAH CHAPTER 11... one, particularly, for: "THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA"... and, the other, for: "YAHWEH'S OWN CHILDREN WORLDWIDE"! After all, THE JUDGMENT that is now starting here: " WITHIN ISRAEL'S OWN HOUSE " - will soon begin flowing outward TO FULLY ENGULF THE ENTIRE WORLD [ WHERE, THE REST OF YOU NOW ARE ]; and, that's what is fully meant by:
" THE AXE, LIES AT THE BASE OF THE TREES... "
Meanwhile, those long prophesied: " THIRTY PIECES OF SILVER " - that HE RECEIVED in exchange for those: " WORTHLESS CHURCHES OF BABYLON " - have been using LUCIFER'S OWN ILLUMINATI SUBLIMINAL TECHNIQUES against him... for, THE EVERLASTING BENEFIT OF YAHWEH! After all, it's all about: " COMING OUT OF BABYLON "... and then, INTO HIS OWN SPIRITUAL LIGHT.

The traditional wiccan herb garden is in the shape of a five-pointed star set inside a nine foot circle. Choose a sunny area, preferably a private spot. Map out the circle by inserting a broken limb at the center. Tie one end of a four and a half foot string loosely about the limb and the other end to the handle of your athame. Pulling the string taut from the center, trace a nine foot circle on the ground.
The ideal time to begin is in the fall during a waning moon in a barren moon sign. Consecrate the entire area with incense and purified water. Consecrate your garden tools as well, asking for the Gods' blessings. Then begin turning the soil to a depth of 13 inches. Remove any weeds to your compost pile and break up any large clods of earth. Cover the area with several inches of compost or natural fertilizer and leaves. This can be left to winter over. Turn over lightly again in the spring.
If you had rather begin in the spring, wait until the soil has warmed up and be sure to add only composted manure to the garden plot. Remove any rough debris and turn up the nine foot circle of earth. The top point of the star should be in the North. Use a compass or go to the garden spot on a clear night and locate the North Star which is always on a direct line out from the top of the Big Dipper's cup. With more string, lay out a five pointed star inside the circle. In the center of the star place a special stone or rock painted with the sun's symbol or a growth rune.
We chose to use the center of our magick garden for a water garden with lotus, water lilies, oxygenating plants and gold fish. At night the reflection of the moon in the water is an added bonus. A tub water-garden will work just fine. The fish take care of the mosquitoes.
This is a great water source for the birds which are only too happy to assist in insect control. Welcome them with a few bird houses and supply an occasional seed feast especially during the colder months.
Before planting seedlings or seeds refer to A Magick Garden Sun & Lunar Calendar for the fertile signs of the waxing moon. Use five perennial herbs particularly of the same growth height. Beginning toward the east, place one to three plants of the same herb in each point of the star. You can get a head start by starting your own plants from seed inside six to eight weeks before the last frost. Be sure to harden the plants before planting in the garden. You do this by setting the seedlings out in a sheltered area for a few hours a day until it is time to plant them in the ground.

"This post from Colm MacCrossan, one of our editors at the University of Oxford, illustrates how the EEBO-TCP corpus can shed new light on old proverbs-and the challenge of sifting through and making sense of the results. One of the greatest pleasures of reviewing new texts for EEBO-TCP is the way in which it constantly confronts each of us with new perspectives on things we may feel we know so well as to be unquestionable. This can be profound (as in Becky's recent blog post showing that 'progressive' attitudes to schooling shouldn't be assumed to be uniquely modern), but can also begin as simply as stumbling across something oddly unfamiliar in an old use of an expression we still commonly repeat today.
Reviewing John Downame's "Foure Treatises Tending to Disswade all Christians from... the Abuses of Swearing, Drunkennesse, Whoredome, and Briberie" (1609), my eye was caught by the following allusion: '...[A]S THE COMMON PROVERBE IS, THERE ARE BUT TWELVE POINTS IN THE LAW, AND POSSESSION IS AS GOOD AS ELEAVEN OF THEM.' Having grown up with the notion that 'Possession is "nine" points of the law' (that is, nine tenths), I was surprised, and began to wonder whether Downame had garbled his proverb, or whether it had simply shifted in time.
Certainly "Brewer's Dictionary of Phrase the OED editors' note that "this" number is being used 'hyperbolically' is here harder to second guess.)
What begins to emerge from these sources, then, is a sense that 'nine points' has clearly come to dominate modern usage, but that 'twelve points' seems to have had some kind of currency in an earlier age. But how to pin down this hunch into a more concrete understanding of how this proverb was used in the early modern period?
Using the 'Proximity Search' feature available via the TCP's full-text search interface, it is possible to design a simple search that quickly generates several dozen examples of this proverb's usage from across the whole span of the seventeenth century - without filtering out either the 'nine' or 'eleven points' versions. This is a sufficiently large sample with which to begin to determine with more confidence the dominant form in the period to 1700.
Using the default search operator 'near', and changing the default proximity range from '40' to '120' characters, a user can search the whole corpus of over 40,000 texts in seconds, identifying all of the occasions in which all three of the words 'points', 'law', and 'possession' occurred close to one another.
This search on September 13, 2012 resulted in 52 matches in 48 records. (Phase I-only partners conducting the same search would only have discovered 38 matches in 34 records.) In other words, the three words appeared close to one another in 48 of the
In fact, both of these turn out to be false positives - although all three search terms occur within 120 characters of one another in the texts, they do not form the proverb in question. The earliest (though numerically-unspecific) allusion to the proverb itself therefore turns out to be an account in John Taylor's "All the Workes of John Taylor the Water-Poet" (1630) (p.137) of a man named John Rowse who is driven to despair and eventual murder as a result of losing his land to a supposed friend. The friend's declaration 'AND SEEING THAT I HAVE ALL THESE ESPECIAL POINTS OF THE LAW AND A SURE POSSESSION, TAKE WHAT COURSE YOU WILL' is taken by Rowse as irrefutable, triggering his terrible spiral.
The latest allusion to this phrase uncovered by this search meanwhile is a translation of "The Fables of Young Aesop", printed by Benjamin Harris in 1700. This concludes the fable of 'The Crocodile and the Dogs' with the moral: 'IN FINE, CONSIDER, WHEN THY TABLE IS SPREAD, IF THOU GOEST TO IT WITH AN UNSAVOURY HEART, THOU DOST NOT KNOW BUT THE DEVIL MAY BE IN THE FIRST MORSEL AND CHOAK THEE: AND THEN THOU'LT REMEMBER THIS COMMON SENTENCE, POSSESSION IS ELEVEN POINTS OF THE LAW!' (p.77)
Returning to the question that initially provoked this search: whether the understood proportion of 'possession' was 'nine points' or 'eleven': of the 39 hits which are not false positives - and which therefore do positively reference this proverb - 36 identify 'eleven points' as the magic number, with only three agreeing with the modern convention of 'nine'. It is possible to interrogate these results further in order to try to assess whether (for example) the beginning of the shift to modern usage might be detectable here, but even at this point the evidence of this corpus can be taken to strongly suggest that possession was far more likely to be assumed to be eleven points of the law before 1700, than nine.
The practical application of this specific example may be limited, but it demonstrates one way in which the EEBO-TCP corpus allows researchers to re-examine the understood contexts and significance of key words and phrases in a way which is both rapid and wide-ranging. The occurrences of this proverb uncovered by the search discussed above come from a broad range of genres including politics, philosophy, theology, astrology, poetry, and travel. Most of them are brief, passing references toward which a simple catalogue search could not possibly have pointed, but collectively they form a cohesive and potentially convincing body of usage, which in turn can form the basis of broader questions, such as what epistemological reasons might lie beneath this apparent shift from a duodecimal to a decimal scale of legal weight.

* During the waxing moon phase, prepare a circle of six green prosperity candles on a tray made of brass or any shiny metal. Use small, broad-based candles so that the wax can flow on to the tray.

Thankfully, I am diagnosed Bipolar II, hypomanic depressive. I say "thankfully", because a huge number of persons who are bipolar and undiagnosed commit suicide due to lack of or incorrect treatment, and the deplorable symptoms that can accompany the disorder and/or mistreatment. Bipolar doesn't have to mean crazy or stupid. Therefore, I believe it is unfair to persons with a brain chemistry imbalance that causes mood instability to be confused or aligned with biased or hateful thinkers. In fact, before the label "bipolar" was applied to persons like me, we were simply referred to as persons with "artistic temperaments".

Yes, I'm still alive. I'm currently in Pakistan and will write an update about the trip soon. In the mean time here is a bit of news about children being hardwired for creationism. I have also included an excellent critique by AC Grayling. The study is fine - but it is clearly tainted because of its support from the Templeton Foundation (you'll see below in the Grayling response).
Here is the story about Justin Barrett's work:
Dr Justin Barrett, a senior researcher at the University of Oxford's Centre for Anthropology and Mind, claims that young people have a predisposition to believe in a supreme being because they assume that everything in the world was created with a purpose.
He says that young children have faith even when they have not been taught about it by family or at school, and argues that even those raised alone on a desert island would come to believe in God. "The preponderance of scientific evidence for the past 10 years or so has shown that a lot more seems to be built into the natural development of children's minds than we once thought, including a predisposition to see the natural world as designed and purposeful and that some kind of intelligent being is behind that purpose,"

Dr Barrett said there is evidence that even by the age of four, children understand that although some objects are made by humans, the natural world is different.
He added that this means children are more likely to believe in creationism rather than evolution, despite what they may be told by parents or teachers.
And here is a response from AC Grayling:
This claim was the subject of Barrett's lecture at Cambridge, in which he exhibited his reasons for thinking that children are innately disposed to believe in intelligent design/creationism and a supreme being. His real reasons for thinking this, of course, are that he is a man of faith funded by a faith-based organisation; but the reasons he professed were that children have an innate tendency when small to interpret what happens in the world to be the outcome of purposive agency.
Now on this point he and I, an atheist funded by no organisation keen on promoting atheism, agree. Children's earliest experiences are of purposive agency in the adults and other people around them - these being the entities of most interest to them in their first months - and for good evolutionary reasons they are extremely credulous, not only believing that things must be acting as their parents do in being self-moving and intentional, but also believing in tooth fairies, Father Christmas, and a host of other things beside, almost all of which they give up believing before puberty, unless the beliefs are socially reinforced - as with religious and, to a lesser extent, certain other superstitious beliefs. Intellectual maturation is the process in important part of weaning oneself from the assumption that trees and shadows behave as they do for the same reason that one's parents, other humans, and dogs and cats do; it is every bit as natural a fact about children that they cease to apply intentionalistic explanations to everything as that they give them to everything, on the model of their parents' behaviour, in the earliest phases of development.
But Barrett and friends infer from the first half of these unexceptionable facts that children are hardwired to believe in a supreme being. Not only does this ignore the evidence from developmental psychology about the second stage of cognitive maturation, but is in itself a very big - and obviously hopeful - jump indeed. Moreover it ignores the fact that large tracts of humankind (the Chinese for a numerous example) have no beliefs in a supreme being, innate or learned, and that most primitive religion is animistic, a simple extension of the agency-imputing explanation which gives each tree its dryad and each stream its nymph, no supreme beings required.
And here is the bit about the Templeton foundation:
"Religious belief" and early childhood interpretations of how the world work are so far removed from one another that only a preconceived desire to interpret the latter in terms of "intelligent design" and "a supreme being" - the very terms are a giveaway - is obviously tendentious, and this is what is going on here. It would merely be poor stuff if that was all there is to it; but there is more. The Templeton Foundation is rich; it offers a very large money prize to any scientist or philosopher who will say things friendly to religion, and it supports "research" as described above into anything that will add credibility and respectability to religion. Its website portrays its aims as serious and objective, but in truth it is just another example of how well-funded and well-organised some religious lobbies are - a common phenomenon in the United States in particular, and now infecting the body politic here.
But the Templeton Foundation would do better to be frank about its propagandistic intentions, for while it tries to dress itself in the lineaments of objectivity it will always face the accusation of tainting the pool, as with the work of this Oxford University institute.
Indeed I question the advisability of Oxford taking funds from the Templeton Foundation for this kind of work. I wonder whether it has undertaken due diligence on this one. I hope it would not take money supporting research for astrology, Tarot divination, proof that the Olympian deities still exist, and the like. The general claims of religion differ not one jot in intellectual respects - or respectability - from these. Perhaps it should think again.
