A Brief Explanation Of Magick

A Brief Explanation Of Magick
Theory of Magick

o Wiccans believe that everything gives off energy...some even call it "energy vibrations."

o These "vibes" can attract/repel either negative or positive energy. Much like if you think you are going to have a bad day, you will have a bad day.

o Any one that can sense these energies can tap into them, forming them into their mind's intent.

o However, Wiccans must realize the consequences of their actions because magick often works like ripples in water...allowing the effects to spread, gradually growing bigger and more uncontrollable.

o This is why magick should only be used when the benefits are clear and only in order to heal the Earth.

Morality of Magick

o Wiccans and witches do not practice hexes, curses, and black magick.

o Wiccans always try to live by 2 rules, including the Wiccan Rede: "An it harm none, do what ye will" and by the Law of Three: "Whatever energy (good or bad) will return to you threefold."

o The belief in reincarnation often keeps witches from doing evil by promising better lives if having lived a good life or punishing them if having lived a bad life.

Esbats

Often there have been depictions of witches dancing under the full moon, I will not deny this is true, for the moon is one of the most powerful conductors of magick and is often used in the rituals (waxing is best for gaining something, protection, or starting anything new; waning is best for banishments and endings). The moon also is a representation of the Goddess.
