Is Your Faith Cold and Distant?
Dulth/Gwinnett CPA: Are You Intentional About Sharing Your Faith?
We pray you are having a blessed and highly favored week! We want to challenge you to reach out to others that are in your path. When you were in school, it is easy to see the person having lunch alone and know that they need a friend but what about in the "real world?" What about the person at the grocery store who goes just to get out of the house and be around people? What about the person in the cubicle next to you who you just give the head nod to each morning to acknowledge you see them but have never had a conversation with? Will people think I am weird if I try to befriend them and start conversation with them? Maybe...but that is a risk you should take! Are you being a friend...an intentional friend? We ask God for ministry opportunities or tell Him to use us but we are so caught up with ourselves that we don't notice others around us. Reach out to someone different this week. Be a friend, show the love of Christ, and remember the friendship that the Lord has given to you!
This past week we had about 85 teenagers come through and saw their lives wrecked for Jesus as they served on the streets. It is so great to hear a 15 year-old say, "I will never complain to my mom again about not having any food in the house. We have so much and my eyes have really been opened this week!" Praise the Lord for working on our youth and building up a generation for Him! We had a baptism service and celebrated 7 lives making the public dedication to Christ! There has been fruit and God has allowed us to see lives changed! Because the Lord is doing so much, the enemy is trying hard to distract and discourage. We covet your prayers for strength and endurance. He is faithful though and continues to provide the courage to persevere and the love in abundance for Him and for others!
Lord willing, we will have another update next week! Come join us anytime- don't be a stranger!(Don't forget that Father's Day is this upcoming Sunday so call your dad and tell him you love him and then give thanks to the Perfect Father who loves you more than anything!)
