Here is an interesting tid bit from ISLMAN.COM:
"A forthcoming lecture at the Manx Museum by Professor Ronald Hutton will shed light on the Isle of Man's historical relationship with witchcraft.
Professor Hutton, who is the Professor of History at Bristol University (and Fellow of the Royal Historical Society and the Society of Antiquaries) will give the fifth of Manx National Heritage's popular winter lectures.
A leading authority on ancient and medieval paganism and one of the most recognised historians on British television, Professor Hutton says, "In the Middle Ages, the Isle of Man had the reputation of being the part of the British Isles most steeped in sorcery.
"In the Seventeenth Century, it became the only place in the world of the Anglican Communion in which people were burned for witchcraft."...(Cont.)...
So if anyone is in the neighborhood of the ISLE OF MAN - stop on by.

Imbolc (Gwyl Mair) Quarter of the Year
February 1st., 2010
IMBOLC
Imbolc is the time when things stir beneath the surface. It is the time of infinite possibilities for the new cycle of life and creativity, when energies are still gathering in the astral, preparing to manifest. The celebration is sacred to Brigid, goddess of smithcraft, poetry, and healing. Take time to concentrate on what you wish to manifest in the coming year. What needs craftwork applied to it, on any level? Can you sing or write it into existence? Does any healing need to happen in your life?
Decorate your altar in red and white. Place a bowl of white roses in the center, flanked by red candles. Write a poem dedicated to Brigid. Don't worry, it doesn't need to rhyme - it only needs to to be from the heart! Take a specially painted and prepared pot of earth and place several seeds in it. Let each seed represent something you wish to manifest. Honor and nurture these seedlings. Take a glass bowl filled with clean water and a handful of small, clear crystals. Name each crystal for something in your life that needs to be healed and drop them one by one into the bowl. As each healing occurs, remove that crystal. When the bowl is empty, pour away the water.

IMBOLC
"Feast of the waxing light, "restore our hope!"
Imbolc - celebrated between February Eve and February 3rd depending upon tradition, most commonly February 2nd in North America. Also known as: Imbolc, Candlemas, Brigantia, Lupercus, or Disting. Certain Western European traditions celebrated festivals from sundown to sundown. If you choose to observe Imbolc according to that model, your festival would begin at sundown on February 1st. This is one of the cross-quarter holy days, halfway between the Winter Solstice and the Vernal Equinox.
Imbolc has always been a fire festival so far as we know. The old ones did not have the advantages of astronomical understanding and were beset by a sincere concern that the longer, warmer days might not return. The bonfires were intended to encourage the return of summer. LIke all good pagan festivals, Imbolc was adopted and adapted by Christian missionary monks. It was brought indoors, reduced to candles and renaemd Candlemas (Candle Mass). The Roman version of this goddess festival, Juno Februata, was adapted as the Virgin Purification feast. [From: 2010 Seaon's of the Witch datebook]

Another Imbolc Altar:
by Patti Wigington - 2008
This is my household Imbolc altar. I've laid out altar cloths in red and white, to symbolize both the melting snow of the season (at least, we HOPE it's going to melt) and the fire of the sun. There's a Brighid's cross at the center, that my kids and I made out of chenille stems. A bouquet of early spring flowers sits above some winter greenery, left over from Yule. My Celtic cross candleholder is one of my favorite ritual items, and I also have a cauldron sitting there which I've toted around with me for years. I have a few other little goodies on there, including a set of prayer beads I made, and an Imbolc greeting card from my High Priestess and mentor. Finally, the two red candles on either side are the ones I use during my Imbolc rite to celebrate the ongoing return of the sun.

For the last few days or so i'm continuously listening to talks given by Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee. They have magnetic effect on me somehow. Today while listening another talk, titled: Spiritual Responsibility, i found something very beautiful. So decided to write it down from the audio and share with you... This is L. Vaughan-Lee speaks,
"I remember years ago being in Seattle airport, in waiting lounge between airplanes. People were reading newspapers, talking on their cell phones, and eating sandwiches. For a moment the VEILS WERE LIFTED FOR ME and I saw this waiting room of people, and I saw each human being is filled with God.
And I saw that the miracle was not that they were full of God, this divine substance, like liquid gold - the way i saw it. Like they were full from tow to right up. I saw that was not the miracle. THE EXTRA-ORDINARY THING IS THAT THEY DIDN'T KNOW IT. That was totally bewildering, totally baffling, that these extra ordinary beautiful luminous beings full of liquid gold of divine substance didn't know that they were like that!
They were talking on their cell phones, arguing with their wives, making appointments, reading the newspaper. It was bizarre!
When one enters the spiritual path, you take upon yourself the responsibility to become aware of that what you are. And then you have to incarnate it in all of the conflicts of daily lives. And practices of the path help you to do that."
Here is the TALK. You can save it by right clicking and choose "Save Target As..."
The talk is recorded at Spiritual Responsibility at a Time of Global Crisis Conference, National Cathedral School, Washington, DC

So here we are in the new year, and I have several little comments to make so far. A more engaging article is in the works and should be posted over the next week and a half. Before that article goes into my future post queue, I wanted to discuss a few minor things that I have been noticing on the blog scene, as well as talk a little bit about some topics that I am currently thinking about.
HEPTARCHIA MYSTICA
First off, I received a copy of Scott Stenwick's newest book "Mastering the Mystical Heptarchy," (Pendraig Publishing 2011) and I have looked it over. This looks like a really interesting and useful book, which will give the Enochian magician an important complete system of planetary magick to add to the already existing and well documented systems of Elemental and Talismanic Elemental magick. Scott takes two approaches to this more obscure Enochian material, and these two paths will satisfy the adherent using the Golden Dawn methodology of magick as well as the grimoire afficionado who wants to work magick as it would have been worked by Dee himself.
I can say that both approaches are satisfactorily documented, making this book a lot more valuable than it might be if one approach was chosen over the other. Scott is an excellent writer and has made this book quite accessible to the average occultist, so it shouldn't be difficult for anyone who seeks to master this system of magick to be able to do so. As a friend and magickal associate, Scott is one of those remarkable men that I have had the honor to know and talk with from time to time. So I am recommending that if you have any interest in Enochian magick, this book is an important addition to your library of magickal Not very many magicians have worked with the Heptarchia Mystica, those mysterious 49 spirits who are also called the Bonarum, or "Good Spirits." These entities are divided into three groups, which include seven kings, seven princes and thirty-five ministers. The seven kings are used to produce a high level type of magick (visions, knowledge and illumination), and the seven princes are used for more practical or earth-based endeavors. The groups of seven kings and seven princes each have a controlling or ruling spirit (Carmara and Hagonel), which brings the number to eight spirits in each group. The rest of the 35 spirits are supernumerary ministers who are invoked through the hierarchy of king and prince. Like most forms of planetary magick, the magician must use both the planetary ruler of the day and the hour to "tune" the working to the specific planet. Scott has been careful to ensure that the use of these spirits are in agreement with the text found in the diaries and writings of John Dee, thus establishing the boundaries of what would be considered the accepted Enochian tradition of magick.
I have also worked extensively with the Heptarchia Mystica, but unlike Scott, I approached this system in a manner that completely ignored what Dee wrote and established in his diaries. To me, a matrix of 49 spirits would obviously represent a symbolic table consisting of a base planet that is qualified by a second planet. In other words, I saw these spirits as a kind of binary planetary intelligence. Even their names begin with a "B" - representing to me that each spirit is a "Beta" or binary entity. Invoking one of these spirits would produce a complex whose basic meaning and value would oscillate between the qualities of the two planets; where the base planet would anchor the focus and the qualifier would add an additional dimension or even a conflicting polarity.
Having two planets banging against each other might seem strange or even counter productive, but such a mechanism can be found if one examines the dynamics of astrological planetary aspects in a natal, progressed or transit chart. The planets are in an angular aspect to each other, producing good and negative combinations in a natal chart, and this represents the dynamic planetary nature of a human psyche according to astrology. Using the spirits of the Heptarchia Mystica in this fashion will emulate the astrological dynamic interaction of two planets, which would unleash the power of that dynamic in the personality of the magician and all who are exposed to it. This produces a kind of magick that is not particularly useful for making probability changes in the physical world, but is truly amazing in the kind of powerful magickal internal effect that it manifests in the psyche of the magician. Thus, from the standpoint of the kind of magick that the 49 Bonarum would produce using my model, this type of magick would be purely theurgic. In other words, it would represent a process that I have referred to as a magickal "ordeal."
Just so you understand what I am saying when I talk about engaging in ordeals as part of my magickal regimen, I am not discussing how difficult or intense the working is when performed. What I am referring to is a theurgic process that is analogous to the transformative initiatory cycle (which I have previously discussed), so that would mean that an ordeal is a kind of mini-initiation which advances the mind and spirit of the practitioner through an ultimate process of ascension. When I performed a series of seven invocations of these Bonarum, I did them every weekend for seven weeks, and ended the process through invoking the ruling spirit Carmara, therefore pulling the whole construct together into union with a ritual that I called the Septagramic Vortex Gate. The combination of all these invocations, performed in a tight and contiguous period of time, produced within my mind a profoundly illuminating process, which I have called an ordeal. It was also like going through a few years of psycho-therapy in just under two months.
Each of the distinct invocations of one of the seven Bonarum spirits produced a correspondingly powerful psychic effect. Some of them amplified internal psychic issues and complexes within me, producing disturbing and intensely difficult mental processes. Others exalted what could be considered my internal psychic virtues. Each spirit communicated directly with me, and gave me an important piece of my overall spiritual and magickal puzzle. I have written up each of these experiences and have analyzed them over the years. I can say that they greatly helped to advance my knowledge of magick and to evolve me as a person. Since I Looking over Scott's book, I am fairly certain that what I have done with the Heptarchia Mystica is completely unwarranted and unsupported by the traditional Enochian lore as set down by Dee. Yet this is how I approached this obscure system of magick, and I had the assistance and advise of spirits that Dee himself had invoked and encountered many centuries ago. If those spirits sent me in a completely different direction than Dee himself went with these spirits, then I can only say that it is likely just one of many different resolutions that are available to a magician who is practicing magick in an inventive and creative manner. What that means is that there isn't one correct or right way to work magick, which makes the practice of magick more like an art than a science.
GOLDEN DAWN ISSUES (STILL AND YET AGAIN)
Morgan Drake Eckstein has been furiously writing up some interesting blog articles as of late. For those who are interested in the ongoing discussion between traditionalists, reconstructionists and revisionists in the Golden Dawn blogsphere, you can find his blog postings here. One thing that Morgan has recently discussed involves how to have a constructive discussion within the intra-Golden Dawn community instead of a flame war. He seems to be concerned that his comments and statements of belief will be misconstrued as a flame war by the other side of the Golden Dawn divide, namely the traditionalists headed by David Griffin of HOGD. Another point that he has discussed is the synthetic nature of the original Golden Dawn as shown in the contents of the Cipher Manuscripts, and that Mathers lost his connection to the Third Order due to his illicit mixing of various systems in the second order workings, and having that issue revealed by Aleister Crowley in the Equinox. This has brought up the issue of mixing unlike systems together, and whether or not you have to be a "master" in order to rightly perform this task.
First off, a flame war, in my opinion is where someone deliberately engages in defaming another individual or organization. Discussing differences of opinion is one thing, which if unresolvable, becomes nothing more than two people or parties agreeing to not agree. That isn't a flame war. However, to declare that important beliefs and foundational ideals of a person or group are actually fraudulent, is, in my definition of the term, a form of flame war, especially if it isn't true.
You can agree or disagree that secret chiefs and a third order is relevant to your particular Golden Dawn organization, but to say that anyone who says that they have contact with such individuals or organization is a liar amounts to defaming their entire organization. This seems to be crux of the ongoing argument between certain Golden Dawn reconstructionists, who say that the secret chiefs never really existed, or that the founding of the Golden Dawn was fraudulent, or that Mathers was a liar, pervert or somehow demented, and the traditionalists, who truly believe in the secret chiefs, the third order and that the Golden Dawn was founded by individuals who were trustworthy and sound. This doesn't mean that the founders of the Golden Dawn were perfect, but it does represent the fact that in order to accept the Golden Dawn teachings, you have to accept many of the inherent beliefs.
To attack the foundation is to destroy the organization, so why some reconstructionists feel it necessary to completely defame the Golden Dawn is beyond my understanding. I find that I don't agree with anyone who seeks to destroy the foundation on which the Golden Dawn was based, so I have been in a natural harmonious agreement with those who revere the Golden Dawn and believe in its tenets.
In my opinion to push these various toxic talking points is to promote a flame war, since all it does is anger folks (some of whom are not even in the GD Order) and create extreme polarization within the community. However, to disagree and state one's opinion, but to respect that others might hold a different or opposite belief (even passionately), is the basis of a constructive dialogue - one that I feel would be beneficial to the GD community. Name calling and defamation are not part of a dispassionate and constructive discourse. I hope that this simple contrast makes that difference quite clear.
Also, I suspect that the real reason that the third order cut its ties with Mathers had a lot more to do with his emerging instability, stubbornness and his poor choices in who to trust, such as the Horos scandal, the London lodge rebellion and the subsequent order schism, which occurred in 1900. Crowley didn't publish the second order material in the Equinox (Liber O) until 1909, which was nearly a decade after all of these events had already occurred. So I truly doubt that the breaking of the relationship between Mathers and the secret chiefs was due to any inappropriate syncretism, despite what David Griffin has reported. When that severing of relationships occurred is anyone's guess, but the early 1890's were times of remarkable growth and expansion in the GD community.
This brings me to the issue of syncretism and the fusion of incompatible lore. There are two schools of thought on this issue, and one is that whatever works is OK. Then there is another opinion that seeks to apply a certain amount of esthetics to the development and practice of magick and the occult. I think that a beginner or a careless dilettante doesn't concern themselves about the esthetics of their rituals or even the congruency of their beliefs. Yet those who have had years of experience will discover by trial and error, and later, through a refined sensibility, what combination produces an elegant resolution and what combination produces occult garbage. Esthetics are, of course, subjective, but I think that one rule of thumb is to establish boundaries between different cultures, systems and methodologies that could produce disharmonious combinations or unworkable structures when mindlessly joined together.
Simplicity, consistency, orderliness and a certain intrinsic and intuitive harmonious blending of elements makes for an esthetically derived ritual or ceremony. To produce a manual on how one would do this could result in quite a large volume of writing, and its usefulness and relevancy would be hotly debated. I think that this is not a particularly useful topic, so I think that the prime rule is functionality.
If the early Golden Dawn seems to be highly syncretistic, then I think that state is analogous to most systems of occultism, both ancient and modern. As a witch, revisionist and ritual developer, I have no problems with experimentation and attempting to combine various systems together to discover new possibilities. By doing this I have, in my time, produced some unworkable junk, but also some truly astonishingly elegant systems and techniques - knowing the difference requires judgement, experience and making lots of mistakes.

Merry Meet, all! A few days ago, I ran into probably the most misinformed, hateful, narrow-minded website on paganism that I've ever seen. It's called "The Crooked Heath". Just the name sounds pretentious. I spent a long time reading this site and writing down it's many lies and misinformation. In the days to come, I'll post bits and pieces of the site and refute it so as to better teach us all about real Wicca. Here is what The Crooked Heath says about "real" witches:
"The concepts of SORCERY and MYSTICAL EXPERIENCES are universal, and in the Germanic culture, it was called "Witchcraft", among other things. English Anthropologists started calling every single practicioner of Sorcery worldwide "witches" because that was their linguistic bias, but that DOES NOT make the worldwide sorcerous community "Witches"."
This is 100% WRONG! As we all know, if you practice sorcery then you are indeed a witch if your female and a warlock if your male. I hope no one takes the crooked heath seriously!
"These are the Gand-Riders, the very root of the image of the Broom Riding Witch, flying across the darkened countryside to cross the World Hedge and enter the Hel Meadow and enter the Ancestral Stream. The Cult used "lifting ointments" (composed of Goose fat and belladonna, and incidentally, the Queen of the Witches and Dark Earth Goddess, Fraw Holt/Holda, was associated with Night-flying Geese, themselves thought to be the souls of the dead; all of this being the Origin of 'Mother Goose' in fact) all of which is well attested to in myth and record, all to achieve the "Flight", and they entered into the Hollow under-Earth and met the Queen of Elphen and the Black Goat."
As you can see, this person gives paganism a bad name. This was stolen right out of a faerie tale.
"What about African Witchcraft? There is no such thing. There are no Italian Witches. There are Stregas, Magos, and Strigmagas."
Crookedheath! That is the same thing as a witch! Whether it's a Ford or a Chevy or a Chrysler, it's still a car!
More to come later!

Magic to call joy into one's life should be performed at the Waxing Moon.
Get three cherry-red candles. Gather flowers, whatever kinds are in season, and decorate
your altar with them. When you have viewed the Moon that evening, light your three candles
and dedicate them to the Fates. Joy is very much in their domain. Say:
"Red is my blood and red is my laughter,
Red is the color of life and of love.
Gracious Old Ladies, who weave in deep dark places,
Bless me with joy and bless me with luck."
Perform this honoring of the Fates three nights in a row, and burn the candles a little each night.
The last night, allow your candles to burn down. For incense you can burn red clover.
Once the spell is finished, dispose of it by taking a little bit of the candle dripping, dried flowers,
and ashes from the incense to a living body of water, cast them in, turn your back, and don't look back.

Of the 1,200 tested, only six were considered remote viewers, McMoneagle being one of them. In this test, McMoneagle was given six opaque envelopes, each of which had a targeta person or placeinside. McMoneagle had no information about what the target was, but was asked to provide information of the target to the officers. On his first try, he got five out of six targets correct, he said.

"A Cult -"
o a relatively small group of people having religious beliefs or practices regarded by others as strange or sinister"."
Feminist Symbols - The Uterus Flag..
All the trappings of a Feminist cult are there for all to see and hear. They have their own self appointed bishops, an appointment that relies on just one single issue and your attitude towards "them". Bear in mind also that not one single individual placed one single vote or was asked a single opinion or question regarding who had the right to become a bishop of the church of feminism, it was just assumed by the lack of rejection rather than one of having ability, knowledge or comprehension of the real world. No, it was just whoever was the most vitriolic and made the most inane and unintelligible statements and comments.
Their houses of worship were spread around the country disguised as "Women's Studies" centres and "Women's Shelters" as they were part of spreading the word plus responsible for actively increasing the membership. The Grand Cathedral was located at the headquarters of NOW as they would constantly inform the flock, the sisterhood, what road to take to reduce their level of grievance and how to go about blaming all and sundry on one half of the earth's population while decreasing their own accountability..
Their psalm book was designed for mantras, these Vedic hymns were to serve as constant reminders. Why the sisterhood had not reached perfection and ofcourse, they could quiet easily remember each line and use them to ensure that everyone on this planet was made aware why their sex were not running it..
The feminist equivalent of the jesuits were sent far and wide across the oceans to ensure their cult spread to all countries, extolling the benefits in such a way that it would almost sound reasonable but after the new adherents enlisted their training regimen were increased to ensure their attitude and mindset were akin to the bishops. They were informed they must carry out the prophesy and edicts the elite passed on as holy writ and no one was permitted to question or ignore it as that would be regarded as sacrilege, with the outcome being banishment and humiliation..
Special indulgences were given to specific people and corporations in return for their assistance, funding and financial support. Anyone deemed necessary was given carte blanche to behave any way they wish, a fine example would be Bill (I did not have sex with that girl) Clinton and also Obama after he installed their new religious leaders in the White House for guidance and support..
In the Feminist Religion there is no need for repentance or atonement as both are viewed as negatives and would demonstrate weakness. Their main aim is to rid the world of 90% of half of the population regardless of discomfort on their part or any discomfort on their members not that that is any consideration. One of their Bishops has decreed this and it should be carried out.
The rituals of the Supreme Power of Feminism are obvious as it is demonstrated daily. Condemn all men, blame all men for your current and past situations, condemn their ancestors as well. Convince all the sisterhood that they would be better off if this world was gender-cleansed of their presence, ensure that by their annihilation, their lives would improve dramatically while women control the world..
Wasn't there a dictator about seventy odd years ago who stated those same objectives ?For "Evil will flourish, When Good Men Do nothing".
Feminism is Evil, it is beyond question.
It has clearly and proudly demonstrated that itself..

PROPHECY SIGN: SIGNS IN THE SUN, MOON AND STARS
The following hour long video is quite interesting. The gentleman that has put it together has done a lot of work researching the material. He is also a very sincere sounding fellow Christian who desires to bring as many unsaved people as possible into the Kingdom of God.
With that said, he does hold to some very unique and less than mainstream beliefs with regard to just what method Jesus Christ will use when he comes for his Bride the Church. We will leave you to decide for yourself on the eschatological beliefs and content of this video.
As we said, it is interesting and thought provoking and certainly will leave one pondering the material.
"IN THAT DAY THERE WILL BE AN ALTAR TO THE LORD IN THE HEART OF EGYPT, AND A MONUMENT TO THE LORD AT ITS BORDER. IT WILL BE A SIGN AND WITNESS TO THE LORD ALMIGHTY IN THE LAND OF EGYPT. WHEN THEY CRY OUT TO THE LORD BECAUSE OF THEIR OPPRESSORS, HE WILL SEND THEM A SAVIOR AND DEFENDER, AND HE WILL RESCUE THEM. ISAIAH 19:19-20 NIV"

ESSENCE: Sweet children, the Father, the Innocent Lord, is the only One who fills your aprons with
jewels of knowledge. He alone is the Seed of the kalpa tree. He cannot be compared to anyone else.
QUESTION: How and why do many children try to deceive the Father?
ANSWER: Because of not recognising the Father accurately, they make mistakes and then hide
them. They don't tell Baba the truth. They secretly sit in the gathering. They don't realize that
Dharamraj Baba knows everything. To tell the true Baba the truth is also the way to reduce punishment.
SONG: No one is unique like the Innocent Lord.
ESSENCE FOR DHARNA:
1. Surrender everything you have to the Father and follow shrimat fully. Do not perform any
bad action and then hide it. By telling the truth to the judge, your punishment is reduced.
2. Never sulk with the Father. Become serviceable. You yourself have to cut your bondages of karma.
BLESSING: May you be an intense effort-maker who experiences something new every day in all four subjects.
Newness in knowledge means to move along being sensible, that is, to continue to finish the
weaknesses that are within you. Newness in experimentation of yoga means to increase its percentage.
In the same way, to experience newness in all four subjects, newness in your self-progress, newness
in the methods, newness in your experimentation, newness in service, newness in making others
into easy yogis and to experience newness in increasing the percentage means to be an intense
effort-maker. It is through this that you will experience closeness.
SLOGAN: The authority of purity is the greatest personality of all.
COMMENTS:

IF HE WAS LARGER, HE WOULDN'T FIT IN BRAHMA BABA'S BODY
SHIVA DOES NOT HAVE A PART IN THE GOLDEN AND SILVER AGES, HIS PART STARTS IN THE COPPER AGE
SHIVA PURIFIES THE IMPURE, THAT IS WHY HE ENTERED BRAHMA AND NOT A SAGE OR SAINT
SHIVA FULFILLS THE DESIRE OF DEVOTION
HE HAS COME TO GIVE YOU THE FORTUNE OF YOUR KINGDOM.
I FEEL THAT IT IS IMPORTANT TO LOOK AT THAT INFORMATION THROUGH THE "GLASSES" OF "PURE GYAN." WHY? BECAUSE THAT IS HOW WE COULD SEPARATE DEVOTION AND INFORMATION FOR CHILDREN'S INTELLECT FROM THE ONE WHICH IS
NOTE THAT SHIVA'S PART STARTED IN THE "COPPER AGE." RELIGIONS WERE FOUNDED AT THAT TIME. PEOPLE HAD EXPERIENCES OF GOD AS WELL, SO HOW CAN WE SAY THAT THOSE RELIGIONS DO NOT "KNOW GOD"? GOD IS NOT
SHIVA, GOD "ENTERED" BRAHMA JUST BECAUSE BRAHMA BABA IS THE FOUNDER OF THE BRAHMIN CLAN. IN THE "IRON AGE" EVERYONE IS "IMPURE."
GOD, SHIVA, "HAS COME" TO GIVE US KNOWLEDGE. THROUGH THE UNDERSTANDING AND IMBIBING OF THAT KNOWLEDGE IS HOW THE "KINGDOM" APPEARS, THROUGH THE LAW OF KARMA.
THEN, BABA MENTIONS ABOUT NOT "HIDING" ANYTHING FROM THE FATHER, FOR HE KNOWS ALREADY AND BY TELLING THE TRUTH OUR PUNISHMENT WILL BE DIMINISHED.
HERE THIS IS JUST PLAIN "LAW OF KARMA." THERE IS REALLY NOTHING ABOUT GOD "DOING SOMETHING," AS "PUNISHING HIS CHILDREN," FOR NOT TELLING THE TRUTH. OBVIOUSLY, CONFESSION MEANS UNDERSTANDING OF AN ERROR AND THAT IN ITSELF IS THE BEGINNING OF MAKING THINGS RIGHT AGAIN.
THE DRAMA IS ALREADY IN PLACE. NOTHING TO ADD TO IT. "A KINGDOM IS BEING ESTABLISHED." ALL ACTORS ARE NEEDED ACCORDING TO TIME.
I LIKED THE BLESSING WHICH RELATES THE CONCEPT OF "NEWNESS." NEWNESS IN THE 4 SUBJECTS IS IMPORTANT TO MAINTAIN THAT ZEAL AND ENTHUSIASM. LET US NOT BE AFRAID OF EXPERIMENTING, FOR THAT IS ONE WAY TO LEARN AND EXPERIENCE. BY INCREASING THAT "NEWNESS" IS HOW WE BECOME "INTENSE EFFORT MAKERS," BAPDADA MENTIONED.

@SONG: Page Of Life (03:16)
Born from the sky,
We are born to this land.
From a dream, so far away,
I was sent to your heart.
With the stars shining,
We are asked to live as one love.
Never forget, this is.
Trust me to be singlet, (Trust me to be secret)
We will sing on the days.
When each voice will be a witness,
Each will sing every way.
There'll be no more empty promises.
We are turning a special page of life.
I will be the one to hold you
In this everlasting dance of love.
Hold me, now forever.
I can remember when
You and I came through the winter.
Now it's summer again.
Be mine, be my love, be my guide, together
We'll be as one, you can count on my life.
Born from the sky.
ahhhhhh...
Words of discouragement disappear
In your clear eyes.
Never change, never doubt
What you mean to my life.
@SONG: Money (06:07)
Have you seen the magazine
Where all the rich, the kings and queens,
Presidents of politics
And emperors of oh so clean.
Oh so clean...oh so clean
Oh so clean...oh so clean
Song for money. Song for money.
Song for money. Song for money.
Song for money. Song for money.
Song for money. Song for money.
The system loves the richest boy,
The richest sheiks of Arabie.
The system loves the richest girl.
A modern mind is climbing free.
The walls are clean, the body dry,
no memory can confuse her why
Because if I'm not there this way,
our crazyness is here to stay
Money, money, money, money, money - MONEY!
Money, money, money, money, money - MONEY!
Money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money
Money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money
Have you seen the shouts us down,
we overroll Manhattan town, we
Hold the uncle by the family,
fakers countin' Tokyo 'round me
Money, money, money, money, money - MONEY!
Song for money. Song for money.
Song for money. Song for money.
Song for money. Song for money.
Song for money. Song for money.
The system loves the richest boy,
The richest girl is in the world.
They'll buy her life for everything
Her food, her clothes, her car, her dream
Freedom can't invest itself,
It's all a game for someone else.
One thing sure, it's real you see
When you got conspiracy.
Money grubs,
Money greeds,
Money chops,
Money speeds,
Money breaks,
Money burns.
Wait a minute! Wait a minute!
It's only money.
It's only money.
It's only money.
It's only money.

@SONG: Garden Of Senses (06:23)
Days of the garden.
Days in the sun.
Warm in my secret.
Lost in your eyes.
Love, sweet as water.
Love, sweet as wine.
Love, in the moonlight.
Sing with your heart. (Tell me there's a muse and you know what )
(you do when you sing when you talk when you )
(love with your heart-strings )
Love in the sunlight (Hold me, hold me)
Sing with your heart (Hold me, hold me)
With your heart
With your heart
With your heart
With your heart
With your heart
@SONG: Is It Love (04:27)
Is it love, is it love,
Is it love that I think I'm after ?
Is the moment so expressive in my heart
To believe I could be with you ?
Treasure this, treasure this.
Is it everything you hoped it would be ?
In your soul, in a job, at the firelight,
Could be life in a heart of stone.
Is it love, is it love,
Is this love that I think I'm feeling ?
Hold me in your arms, lie by my side,
Let me be inside of you.
Let me go, let me fly, let me love you.
Let me go, let me fly, let me love you.
Somehow I must believe, you need me too,
You dream me too summer love.
Cause I will be unchained
When true love surrounds me.
I will be unchained
When true love I see in your eyes.
Yes, I will be unchained
When true love I see in your eyes.
Tell me I'm a fool, I would know how to believe it. (eyes)
All the words you say enfold me, touch me, but
Somehow there's more to being this love.
It's a game of give and take.
Call it love, (give and take)
Call it love, (give and take)
Is it love that I think I'm after ?
It's the world that inspires my every move,
A world so much to do with you.
Tell me now, I'm alive.
So alive that I need to show it.
Gather round me, come to me, the firelight. (Gather round, become to me the firelight)
Come to me, wait by my side.
I will be unchained
When true love surrounds me.
I will be unchained
When true love I see in your eyes.
@SONG: Anyone Can Light A Candle (03:46)
Anyone could light a candle,
But not the way that you do.
Anyone could light a candle.
Just like a flower in the rain,
You are unique, the same.
Each step you take,
Each dream you realize,
Will open your heart, your life.
Anyone can light a candle,
But not the way that you do.
For if we look too close,
Pure magic we would be.
Pure magic we would see.
It's all around each one.
It's all around within.
The perfect union,
Close inside your dreams.
To watch in wonderment,
As each day begins.
They tell me
You can hear this song.
Anyone can light a candle,
But not the way that you do.
So if we look too close,
Pure magic we will be.
Pure magic we will see.
@SONG: Be A Good Friend Of Mine (04:13)
Be a good friend of mine.
You travel the secret sites
All over this world,
Planted here in Malibu.
He was given his wings
So in order to fly.
In a dream we see (In a dreamy scene)
The sorcerers of the sky.
The sorcerers of the Deep.
The Orca whale, the Samurai.
He asked the question right off,
What does it mean to me ?
He was told he was a daemon of life.
His flute was his heart's companion.
To dream of whales flying in the sky
Was the key to a secret door.
He had seen the three as a sailing ship (He had seen the three as a solar ship)
Who flew this world's discovery.
Be aware that, if you connect this dream,
You enter through the doors,
Through the doors
Of Paradise !
Be a good friend of mine.
Said he wanted to see
As a seer of his day,
He saw the chandle-light.
Who are the Kingdom come ?
Who are the UFO ?
Are we religious now ?
Or was he ever so ?
What is the crystal void ?
The sun is more than alive.
Why do we fight these wars ?
Why can't we see the light?
Who is our brother sun ?
Who is our sister moon ?
Or would you live in peace
And is it coming real soon ? (real soon, real soon, real soon)
He was told he was a daemon of life.
His flute was his heart's companion.
To dream of whales flying in the sky
Was the key to a secret door.
He had seen the three as a sailing ship
Who flew this world's discovery.
Be aware that, if you connect this dream,
You'll enter through the door,
You'll enter through the door
Of Paradise !
@SONG: Shine For Me (04:10)
Shine for me,
I'll shine for you,
Each waking dawn,
Each day.
Let these words,
Please, let this song
Take you so
Completely.
You have the gift of love.
You have the gift of life.
Take whatever you need.
Be the light.
For once, be sure.
Be the light
you are.
You are the sound of love.
You are the sound of life.
Take whatever you need.
More will come as you reopen
All your senses changing.
Once you have seen,
Be awake to this life song.
Shine for me,
I'll shine for you,
Each waking dawn,
Each day.
You are the gift of love.
You are the gift of life.
Take whatever you need.
@SONG: Genevieve (03:48)
Genevieve,
Listen for a while.
We are young,
Waking all the time.
Growing as we do,
See the truth we lose,
How we soon forget
This love.
Genevieve,
Tell me if you can.
Who is right,
A woman or a man ?
How we grow the same. (to see who doesn't cry) [? (see the dancing love) ?]
Together we create. (the circles round my heart )
Sing, all the world is in (a girl for every boy)
Our eyes. (Genevive)
Genevieve. (Genevive)
Flying to the sky, (flying to the sky)
Holding me this way, (gliding through the sky)
This magic that I feel (magic that is in your eyes)
For you.
Genevieve,
The strongest love of all
Is when we're one
Whenever we're alone.
There's nothing like our love (everybody knows)
That fills this empty space. (the children of the world)
Just let me hear you say (everyday begins love)
It's true.
The way you think of love (show how to believe)
Is in my heart of love. (in this make believe)
This love for everyone, (make each day begin with love)
Genevieve. (love love love...)
Everybody knows.
For the children of the world.
Every day begins
With loving...
@SONG: Journey To Ixtlan (05:50)
She sends special signals to me.
Not the kind you soon forget so.
Even these words that change
my mind and my direction
Some days, speaking out a warning :
Look straight, be strong.
She says, helping me in seeing,
my waking, my dreaming.
Life.
Oooohhh...
Makes me, sometimes like the thunder :
Hear me now.
Some days, falling like the rain,
Slowly healing me,
Helping me, seeing me, seeing.
Some day, I'll remember why
A touched, made me touch the sky.
We will live always for each other,
Some day, some day soon.
We're on the journey to Ixtlan.
We're on the journey to Ixtlan.

Imbolc, celebrated on February 1st or 2nd, is (pronounced "IM-bulk" or "EM-bowlk"), also called Oimealg, ("IM-mol'g), by the Druids, is the festival of the lactating sheep. It is derived from the Gaelic word "oimelc" which means "ewes milk". Herd animals have either given birth to the first offspring of the year or their wombs are swollen and the milk of life is flowing into their teats and udders. It is the time of Blessing of the seeds and consecration of agricultural tools. It marks the center point of the dark half of the year. It is the festival of the Maiden, for from this day to March 21st, it is her season to prepare for growth and renewal. Brighid's snake emerges from the womb of the Earth Mother to test the weather, (the origin of Ground Hog Day), and in many places the first Crocus flowers began to spring forth from the frozen earth.
The Maiden is honored, as the Bride, on this Sabbat. Straw Brideo'gas (corn dollies) are created from oat or wheat straw and placed in baskets with white flower bedding. Young girls then carry the Brideo'gas door to door, and gifts are bestowed upon the image from each household. Afterwards at the traditional feast, the older women make special acorn wands for the dollies to hold, and in the morning the ashes in the hearth are examined to see if the magic wands left marks as a good omen. Brighid's Crosses are fashioned from wheat stalks and exchanged as symbols of protection and prosperity in the coming year. Home hearth fires are put out and re-lit, and a besom is place by the front door to symbolize sweeping out the old and welcoming the new. Candles are lit and placed in each room of the house to honor the re-birth of the Sun.
Another traditional symbol of Imbolc is the plough. In some areas, this is the first day of ploughing in preparation of the first planting of crops. A decorated plough is dragged from door to door, with costumed children following asking for food, drinks, or money. Should they be refused, the household is paid back by having its front garden ploughed up. In other areas, the plough is decorated and then Whiskey, the "water of life" is poured over it. Pieces of cheese and bread are left by the plough and in the newly turned furrows as offerings to the nature spirits. It is considered taboo to cut or pick plants during this time.
Various other names for this Greater Sabbat are Imbolgc Brigantia (Caledonni), Imbolic (Celtic), Disting (Teutonic, Feb 14th), Lupercus (Strega), St. Bridget's Day (Christian), Candlemas, Candlelaria (Mexican), the Snowdrop Festival. "Candlemas" is the Christianized name for the holiday. The holiday is also called "Brigit's Day", in honor of the great Irish Goddess Brigit. At her shrine, the ancient Irish capitol of Kildare, a group of nineteen priestesses (no men allowed) kept a perpetual flame burning in her honor. She was considered a Goddess of fire, patroness of smithcraft, poetry, and healing (especially the healing touch of midwifery). This tripartite symbolism was occasionally expressed by saying that Brigit had two sisters, also named Brigit. (Incidentally, another form of the name Brigit is Bride, and it is thus she bestows her special patronage on any woman about to be married or handfasted, the woman being called "bride" in her honor.)
The Roman Catholic Church could not very easily call the Great Goddess of Ireland a demon, so they canonized her instead. Henceforth, she would be 'Saint' Brigit, patron saint of smithcraft, poetry, and healing. They 'explained' this by telling the Irish peasants that Brigit was 'really' an early Christian missionary sent to the Emerald Isle, and that the miracles she performed there 'misled' the common people into believing that she was a Goddess. For some reason, the Irish swallowed this.
Brigit's holiday was chiefly marked by the kindling of sacred fires, since she symbolized the fire of birth and healing, the fire of the forge, and the fire of poetic inspiration. Bonfires were lighted on the beacon tors, and chandlers celebrated their special holiday. The Roman Church was quick to confiscate this symbolism as well, using "Candlemas" as the day to bless all the church candles that would be used for the coming liturgical year. (Catholics will be reminded that the following day, St. Blaise's Day, is remembered for using the newly blessed candles to bless the throats of parishioners, keeping them from colds, flu, sore throats, etc.)
The Catholic Church, never one to refrain from piling holiday upon holiday, also called it the Feast of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary. (It is surprising how many of the old Pagan holidays were converted to Maryan feasts.) The symbol of the purification may seem a little obscure to modern readers, but it has to do with the old custom of "churching women". It was believed that women were impure for six weeks after giving birth. And since Mary gave birth at the winter solstice, she wouldn't be purified until February 2. In Pagan symbolism, this might be retranslated as when the Great Mother once again becomes the young Maiden Goddess.
Today, this holiday is chiefly connected to weather lore. Even our American folk calendar keeps the tradition of "Groundhog Day", a day to predict the coming weather, telling us that if the groundhog sees his shadow, there will be "six more weeks" of bad weather (i.e., until the next Old Holiday, Lady Day). This custom is ancient. An old British rhyme tells us that "if Candlemas Day be bright and clear, there'll be two winters in the year". Actually, all of the cross-quarter days can be used as inverse weather predictors, whereas the quarter days are used as direct weather predictors.
Like the other High Holidays or Great Sabbats of the Witches' year, Candlemas is sometimes celebrated on its alternate date, astrologically determined by the sun reaching fifteen degrees Aquarius, or Candlemas Old Style.
One of the nicest folk customs still practiced in many countries, and especially by Witches in the British Isles and parts of the U.S., is to place a lighted candle in each and every window of the house (or at least the windows that face the street), beginning at sundown on Candlemas Eve (February 1), allowing them to continue burning until sunrise. Make sure that such candles are well seated against tipping and guarded from nearby curtains, etc. What a cheery sight it is on this cold, bleak, and dreary night to see house after house with candlelit windows! And, of course, if you are your coven's chandler, or if you just happen to like making candles, Candlemas Day is the day for doing it. Some covens hold candle-making parties and try to make and bless all the candles they'll be using for the whole year on this day.
Other customs of the holiday include weaving "Brigit's crosses" from straw or wheat to hang around the house for protection, performing rites of spiritual cleansing and purification, making "Brigit's beds" to ensure fertility of mind and spirit (and body, if desired), and making "crowns of light" (i.e., of candles) for the high priestess to wear for the Candlemas Circle, similar to those worn on St. Lucy's Day in Scandinavian countries. All in all, this Pagan Festival of Lights, sacred to the young Maiden Goddess, is one of the most beautiful and poetic of the year.

"I believe in the Church of Baseball. I've tried all the major religions, and most of the minor ones. I've worshipped Buddha, Allah, Brahma, Vishnu, Siva, trees, mushrooms, and Isadora Duncan. I know things. For instance, there are 108 beads in a Catholic rosary and there are 108 stitches in a baseball. When I heard that, I gave Jesus a chance. But it just didn't work out between us. The Lord laid too much guilt on me. I prefer metaphysics to theology. You see, there's no guilt in baseball, and it's never boring..." Annie Savoy (from the movie Bull Durham)."
In yesterday's Washington Post, columnist Marc Fisher wrote about the "unsavory mix of peanuts, cracker jacks and Jesus" at the Washington Nationals ballpark. He was specifically criticizing the initiative of a Christian marketing company to have "Faith nights" at major and minor league baseball games. The Washington Nationals will have their "Faith Night" on August 5th when the Nats play the St. Louis Cardinals, and for an extra 10 Christian fans will be able to hear a concert by the band MercyMe and meet Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber from Veggie Tales.
Fisher's criticism of Faith Night was that it was exclusive to people of other faiths and that baseball is, in itself, a kind of religion (that's when he quoted the character Annie Savoy from the movie Bull Durham). The organizers of the event claim that it's no different from Realtors' Night, Disco Night, 4-H Night or Hispanic Heritage Night at the ballpark and that no one should take offense because all are welcome to come (or not). Of course, part of what is driving this critique has to do with the history of the Nats and their involvement with an evangelical chaplain program, Baseball Chapel, and the message that some of their chaplains were preaching about the eternal damnation of people of other faiths.
Now I am as PC as the next person, and I hear and understand these critiques about Christian exclusivity, and, honestly, I don't really buy it. Not when it comes to Faith Night anyway (the Baseball Chapel thing is a different story). That's not was offends me about "Faith Night." What really offends me is the idea that Christianity is something to be marketed in the first place. That our faith should be packaged and sold, promoted by animated characters, and that there's a group out there telling baseball execs that they should hold Christian Faith Nights because they can deliver "5,000-15,000 more in ticket sales" by holding a Christian rock concert at the ballpark. What would Jesus think about all this, do you suppose?
This week's Gospel lesson from the Revised Common Lectionary is from Luke 9:51-62. In it Jesus is heading toward Jerusalem where he will face his trial and execution, and he's talking with the disciples about what it means to follow him. And as usual, they don't get it. When
I could be wrong (it's happened before) but I don't think Jesus is saying here that we should use baseball games as a way to bring people to Christ. I think he's saying that our Christian faith calls us to a life of worship and devotion, of sacrifice and service, of humility and compassion. Our faith is a way of life, not a product to be bought and sold, and exchanged when it doesn't meet our needs any more. And I think there's a very fine line between evangelism and "marketing," between being relevant and selling out. A Christian "faith night" at a baseball game "should" be different from Realtor's Night. Maybe instead of buying peanuts and cracker jacks, we could take up a collection to feed the hungry children of Washington, DC? Or organize people to walk from the ballpark to the Capitol to draw attention to the suffering of God's people in Darfur? Those might be more authentic ways to combine Christianity and a large secular sporting event.
Coincidentally, Marcus and I have tickets to this game on August 5th. Not because it's Faith Night, but because Marcus also worships the St. Louis Cardinals. We're going to worship at the Church of Baseball. But I'll let you know if we run into Bob the Tomato.

NEW MOON
The beginning of a new cycle.
Today there are Major magickal energies for doing spells and rites to tune into your intuition before the moon goes void of course at 9:09PM EDST. There are minor magickal energies for doing spells and/or rites regarding domestic issues.
Tonight do something to honor this beginning of a new lunar cycle - light a white candle and sit for a few moments and consider what goals you might want to achieve this cycle.
* Take a seed for each goal, hold them one by one in cupped hands till you have thoroughly visualized each intention, then plant the seed(s) individually in a bowl of earth.
* Take a pure white candle, stroke it from base to center and tip to center with oil such as olive or almnod. Be careful to avoid the wick or the candle will splatter when it is lit. As you dress the candle in this way, concentrate on a fresh new project that you wish to work on, then light the candle. Burn it every night at the same time till the moon is full.
* Think of a goal, then tie three knots in a silver cord or ribbon, voicing your magickal intention with each knot. Put it on your shrine or tie it in the branches of a tree in your yard or garden till just before the next new moon, then untie the knots and cleanse the cord through the elements so that it can used again for future spells.
Magick for the new moon should be concerned with fresh wishes and goals, or new stages in projects already underway. Work toward putting energy into starting each project, but ask for some staying to prevent things from petering out again.
Over the next few days, as the moon's crescent grows fuller, the general pace will settle to a steadier cadence. The airy, mental tempo of the very new moon will stablize, but at the same time emotions will come more to the fore. Eventually a point is reached when the energies seem to pause briefly, whuile still holding a sense of excitement and optimism. When this happens the end of the new moon phase has been reached and the waxing phase is well underway. Tomorrow the moon moves into the Cardinal Fire Sign of Aries which is a time of feelings of intense activity, reaching out in emotional surges and impulsiveness. You may find these feelings being further activated by the Moon's newness.
