A Most Wonderful Soul Reading She Of Spirit

Yesterday, I performed a very educational soul reading.
Rather that the usual description of events, I am going to focus on what I learned.
Lately, I have been seeing an overlay upon a person before I get into the meat of the reading. In her case, I saw a goddess, maybe "the" goddess. She wore a crown and, behind her, the starry night sky. That was just the beginning!
Her animal soul (Nephesch) was Native American. I learned later she is of such ancestry. I was soon struck by the age of her animal soul. I thought them always to be children or in the case of older people early to be mid teenagers. Hers was a fully grown adult male Native American living within a crater like depression in the earth. He had a carved out home, like the Anasazi cliff dwellers. Quickly, I learned Nepesch had lived with her for lifetimes! I had previously posited that animal souls died with the body. Maybe they do as a norm but not hers.
At some point in a prior lifetime, she managed to make whole all her soul parts and this allowed the Nephesch to live on. It makes me recall seeing someone's Nephesch trying to better itself and rise up in worship of the divine. That image now makes so much more sense. Nephesch can live on. As I type, I am amazed at the ontological ramifications of this. I haven't a clue where to start.
So here it gets even more unusual. There are other living beings within the world of her Nephesch. I have seen splinters of the lower self before and even 'thought forms' of trauma or of the reaction to trauma. I have never seen fully autonomous beings within the world of someone's Nephesch. These beings at the direction of her shaman 'lower soul', formed a circle and danced in a counter-clockwise direction. The shaman offered her a gift which represented her full story and was intended to sooth the pain from her internal views of unworthiness.
She refused the gift. I think she is the first one to ever refuse a gift in a soul reading. I think that is because she was well aware of the paradigm altering effect accepting the gift would have.
(Note: this was a gift one part of her soul was giving another part of her soul which was refused. This process is exactly what restrains every aspect of spiritual growth. No matter the religion, refusing or categorizing gifts from G-d delays the inevitable growth of spirit. Pain is the result. Suffering.
Though, suffering is a good thing. It teaches us that the things we thought were important are not. This is why both the Buddha and Jesus suffered so in the wilderness. The suffering on the cross had a different meaning.)
Her automatic personality was next. Normally, this is couched in vague qabalistic symbolism of the generic Tree of Life. Nope. Hers was a full personality! She was HUGE, not fat, HUGE. I am not sure how to interpret that other than as import to my client's life.
From this point, I will this client She of the Spirit.
The woman of her automatic personality appeared seated behind an unadorned table. Perhaps that lack of adornment means that she has no precise religious dogma to appease but accepted the simplicity of spirit. She held, in each hand, a small offering bowl of liquid. She sipped from each one. This was an externally offered and internally accepted libation of the highest order.
Note: Libations and prayers to the Great Spirit, God, the Creatrix, or any god whatsoever must be fully internalized. The offering must come fully from soul sans guilt or worry. It is communion.
This woman in her own priestess.
Once I got past the sheer beauty of this sight, I looked around for the more typical issues of the automatic personality. I found none in the realm of desire. What I found lay within the intellect/emotion center of Hod, the eighth sephira of the Tree of Life. As far as I can tell, this is the most troublesome sephira of them all.
Here she lives with an overexagerated idea regarding her negative impact on others. She not only owns the pain of whomever she hurts but magnifies it beyond all reality. If, emotionally speaking, she kicks your shin, she feels like she broke your leg, owns the pain and the blame, devalues herself and blocks her true Spirit from manifesting fully. She is mistaking compassion (suffering with) with the sensation of pain she feels she caused another. Then she owns it to a ridiculous degree.
There is something more going on here. She is in the process of expanding her soul to "include the other". This is what is allowing her to feel such intense pain. It is a bit like making love in that you feel the other's responses as your own. Yet this is beyond the physical and moves into accepting that other into being as a whole - to stay there.
This is quite painful because everyone is in pain. Given the wide variety of pains we suffer as the human race, no one can know them all. So, when we feel them from within ourselves as felt by the other, they are shockingly intense.
She of Spirit is mistaking the pains of those she loves and respects as caused by her. While true in the most globally generic sense (we are all one, brothers and sisters united, and therefore all our pains are mutually caused and; since we are one, even if not the cause, pain is a shared experience as is love and all other things) it is not true in the personal sense.
The gift of her Shaman nature would have released this tension, removed that ownership of overblown cause and given her a more holistic understanding of her being, her perfection. In lieu of that gift, I advised going to Sedona and seeing the night sky on a night that was just a little cold and contemplating the vastness of the All. She is going in the spring.
I then moved to her Divine Personality. Holy Trees of Life Batman! I saw what can only be described as full Tree DNA. There were thousands of Trees of Life amongst many big ones. They were all interconnected and glorious. At the time, I saw that over lifetimes (she as is old as the Tower of Babel) she has reconciled so many pairs of opposites that the understanding perpetuates to this day. Now, I am reminded of the four world view of the Tree which places the Tree of Life as a whole in each of the four worlds. This in effect makes forty sephiroth. However, within each is another full Tree making 400. Theoretically, there is a Tree in each of those and in each of those and in each of those. Theory no more for Robert, I've seen it. Though, I agree with qabalists that actually trying to work within that structure is impractical.
It was here that I understood how the insecurities of the automatic personality were keeping this beauty from manifesting fully here. Further, that she is very close to being a yogi or 'god-center'. A being so full of spirit that others can see it and take sustenance and inspiration from her very presence. THAT CLOSE.
Yet, those insecurities make her feel so far away and so unworthy. Look in the mirror people, every human in is this place. She is just at the precipice. WOW.
Her immortal soul, a name that no longer seems to work for me after seeing a perpetual Nephesch, just kept pulsing one word, "Go. Go. Go."
I hope she does in this lifetime.
Personally, this impacted me more than learning about the soul structure. Often, I too feel so very far way from manifesting my highest divine nature. Maybe there are simply these same stumbling blocks of insecurity in my way. I can now see several of them. Is it just these or a host more? I shall persevere to find out and slay those dragons. Tally ho! Magick is afoot.

Islam Religion Of Peace Or Pieces

What a lot of patronizing, self-serving twaddle! I like to think that most of us don't need such instruction. After all, it's EASY to respect a religion of peace. Let these militant groups start to DEMONSTRATE that they are practicing one, or be treated like the POLITICAL totalitarian fascists that they are.
If the peace of Islam is in pieces, then they need to sort it out. If they want the PRIVILEDGE of being respected as a peaceful religion, it has to be earned. They can start by separating the political pieces of Islam from the religous ones, and start behaving like civilized people. We should be INSISTING on it, and not letting anyone tell us otherwise.
Here are two articles written by people who aren't afraid to ask real questions and to say what needs to be said:
Stand up for Denmark!
Why are we not defending our ally?
By Christopher Hitchens. An excerpt:
"...The incredible thing about the ongoing KRISTALLNACHT against Denmark (and in some places, against the embassies and citizens of any Scandinavian or even European Union nation) is that it has resulted in, not opprobrium for the religion that perpetrates and excuses it, but increased RESPECTABILITY! A small democratic country with an open society, a system of confessional pluralism, and a free press has been subjected to a fantastic, incredible, organized campaign of lies and hatred and violence, extending to one of the gravest imaginable breaches of international law and civility: the violation of diplomatic immunity. And nobody in authority can be found to state the obvious and the necessary-that we stand with the Danes against this defamation and blackmail and sabotage. Instead, all compassion and concern is apparently to be expended upon those who lit the powder trail, and who yell and scream for joy as the embassies of democracies are put to the torch in the capital cities of miserable, fly-blown dictatorships. Let's be sure we haven't hurt the vandals' FEELINGS..."
You can read the whole thing HERE.
NONSENSE AND SENSIBILITY
by Diana West. An excerpt:
...In another context, I wouldn't disagree with the readers' comments I quoted above. Indeed, I've been known to make similar arguments against all manner of fetid cultural excess, from lurid children's fiction to the notorious Sensation Exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum in which Dung Virgin first came to fame in 1999. (Or was that infamy? It's easy to get them confused.)
The topic of Dung Virgin, not to mention its companion piece in shock value, Piss Christ, strikes the Good-Mannerists as an important marker in their personal guides to press etiquette. Not grooving to such "artistic" attacks on Christianity, the Good-Mannerists say they can understand the consternation of the Cartoon Ragers - at least to some point shy of death threats, arson and murder - and see media self-censorship as a matter of common decency.
Is the comparison valid? And is the politeness deserved? Absolutely not, and here's one big reason why: Christianity and Islam are not interchangeable belief systems inspired by a generic divinity. One relevant distinction is the way they operate in relation to their societies. Christianity abides by the separation of church and state; Islam knows no separation whatsoever. As a result, THE THEOLOGICAL TEACHINGS OF ISLAM AS REVEALED BY MUHAMMAD, WHICH FORM THE BASIS OF THE ISLAMIC LAW (SHARIA) THAT DRIVES ISLAMIC SOCIETIES, NECESSARILY BELONG TO THE POLITICAL SPHERE in a way that Christianity does not.
This is not to say that Christianity should be, or has been, off the table. Indeed, all the ink (not blood) spilled over assorted Excrement Icons only enhanced their value, not to mention the reputations of their artists (using the word loosely). But THE ALL-ENCOMPASSING NATURE OF ISLAM UNDERSCORES A SPECIAL NEED FOR OPEN, CRITICAL EXAMINATION OF THE KORAN AND MUHAMMAD AS POLITICAL, AND POLITICALLY VIOLENT, FORCES THAT ROIL OUR TIMES...

About My Name Venus Satanas
Posted by

/ 3:49 PM /
A question from a friend at facebook the other day:
Just curious about your name. I daresay "Venus Satanas" is not your birth name, and you don't seem one to do anything that isn't very well thought through. "Satanas" is obvious, of course...but why "Venus?" It's quite a suggestive name...My name, is my magical name. It is a name that I gave to myself when i was re-initiated back into satanism in 2004. It was a name that I created from the associations and experiences that were in my life at that time. In order to understand this you would have to travel back in time with me to '04 to see how this happened.
It was the summer. I had just moved into my own place, a small apartment by the river where I could begin a new life from the one that i worked hard to leave behind. See, i spent 7 years in a bad relationship. the kind of relationship that was poison to my soul. the kind of relationship that made me feel that I wasted years of my time caring about a person who couldn't even care for himself. It was an abusive relationship. But i am a fighter. When i had enough, I walked out and i got my own place to live.
Part of my reason for leaving was that I really missed my communion with Satan. It was the one thing that was missing in my life, my spiritual path. I forgot how good it felt to be self empowered. Without that self empowering element in my life it was hard to be happy.
I got my own apartment that summer, and i was able to decorate it the way i wanted and I set up a ritual room in my bedroom with a complete altar. It took months to set up things the way that I wanted to. Along the way, I worked on meditations and I performed rituals for Satan. I was focused, more focused that I had ever been in my life. I also adopted my cat from the shelter, an adorable black kitty that I named Shadow. Once I had a stable place to stay and my life was in order, I was ready to bring him into my life.
Every time I came home to my place, i saw the single pink rose that was growing at my doorstep. It was so beautiful and it took a long time to grow. It reminded me of my new life, my new freedom. The rose was very symbolic to me in a very spiritual way. Just before it faded I gathered it for a ritual. In this ritual, I gave myself my magic name VENUS SATANAS, to associate with two of my favorite god-forces as a title and as a tribute. The rose was an offering to the goddess, my blood was an offering to Satan.
Some say that the name is
Bryon is a neopagan with a deep interest in the gods of Rome, so we share a lot of commonalities when it comes to magic and working with gods. One of his desires is the return to the classical age of Rome, to worship the gods as they had been worshiped long ago. He is into Roman reconstructionism. Over the years he has become somewhat of a 'magical partner' to me as we have experimented with spells together with varied results, and we discuss our experiences in working with the Roman gods.
So, Venus has become a very important goddess in my life. While she is not 'satanic', her name is Venus has an independent and willful character, if she can be described as a goddess. She is the type of goddess that does whatever she wants, whenever she wants. In her stories she was not a demure, faithful lover. She had many partners and she caused a lot of mischief and trouble. She is never pictured as a child. She is always portrayed as a woman. Venus is the type of goddess who speaks through the heart, and it is through this understanding that I have come to begin to understand Satan with my heart. It is very spiritual to me.
A magical name is so much more than just a title. It is a role that you have to fulfil, a name that you give form to. When you choose a magical name you are born into the world of magic. The magician is self-created.

PARANORMAL PHENOMENASPIRITS OF ERRORSESSION 18/SEP/99"MEDIUM": JORGE OLGUIN.
"ENTITY THAT CAME TO TALK": JOHNAKAN UR-EL. (JORGE OLGUIN'S THETAN)INTERLOCUTOR: CONTINUING WITH THIS ISSUE OF MOVING OBJECTS, WHO ARE BEHIND THE SO CALLED "OUIJA BOARD"?JOHNAKAN UR-EL: SPIRITUAL ENTITIES, FROM THE PLANES 2 AND 3...
ENTITIES OF THE PLANES 4 AND 5 HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THAT, BECAUSE THERE ARE OTHER BETTER WAYS TO SERVE.INTERLOCUTOR: HOW COULD ONE TAKE THAT KIND OF COMMUNICATION THEN?JOHNAKAN UR-EL: THAT COMMUNICATION IS VERY BASIC AND IT SHOULD BE "TAKEN WITH A GRAIN OF SALT", AS YOU SAY IN THE PHYSICAL PLANE, BECAUSE THE ANSWERS ARE SOMETIMES WRONG "ON PURPOSE".
INTERLOCUTOR: IS THERE SOMETHING ELSE ABOUT THIS?JOHNAKAN UR-EL: NO THAT'S ALL.INTERLOCUTOR: PERFECTLY. AND WHAT ABOUT THE APPARITIONS OF THE VIRGIN MARY, ACCORDING TO CHRISTIANITY THE MOTHER OF JESUS?JOHNAKAN UR-EL: IN SOME CASES THAT ENTITY WHO WAS THE MOTHER OF JESUS CAN APPEAR WITH THE ASPECT IT HAD IN GALILEE.
IN OTHER CASES THEY ARE FALSE VISIONS OF PEOPLE WHO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF RELIGIOUS FANATICISM OF SOME BELIEVERS.INTERLOCUTOR: WHERE IS THIS SUBLIME SPIRIT NOW? I ASK IT BECAUSE IN A MAGAZINE I READ THAT THROUGH THE OUIJA BOARD IT HAD SETTLED DOWN THAT IT WAS IN ANOTHER SOLAR SYSTEM IN MISSION...JOHNAKAN UR-EL: THAT IS FALSE.
THAT ENTITY CONTINUES WITH US. IT IS IN THE PLANE 5 AND IT DIDN'T EMBODY.INTERLOCUTOR: AND THE TEARS THAT SOMETIMES APPEAR ON THE IMAGES THAT REPRESENT HER?JOHNAKAN UR-EL: THEY ARE TRICKS OF ENTITIES OF THE PLANES 2 AND 3. THEY HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MOTHER OF THE MASTER OR "MIRACLES."INTERLOCUTOR: I'D LIKE TO TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO ASK ABOUT WHAT HAS BEEN CALLED "THE BLEEDING WALLS".
IN A CERTAIN HOUSE STAINS OF RED COLOR APPEARED ON THE WALLS, ONCE THEY ANALYZED IT THEY FOUND THAT IT WAS TRULY HUMAN BLOOD. THE STRANGE THING IS THAT THIS EVENT HAPPENED IN A CLOSED PLACE AND THERE WERE NO WOUNDED PEOPLE AROUND OF SOMETHING LIKE THAT.JOHNAKAN UR-EL: THIS IS ALSO A TRICK OF THE SPIRITS OF THE PLANES 2 AND 3, THESE ENTITIES OF ERROR CAN DEMATERIALIZE BLOOD EXTRACTING IT FROM A PLACE AND MATERIALIZE IT IN THE PLACE WHERE THESE STAINS CAN BE SEEN BY PEOPLE THEY WANT TO IMPRESS OR SCARE.
THAT IS ALL, THERE IS NO ENIGMA.INTERLOCUTOR: BUT, HOW DO THEY DO IT?JOHNAKAN UR-EL: DIRECTLY THEY MAKE FOCUS, THEY TAKE OUT BY MEANS OF TRANSUBSTANTIATION SOME BLOOD FROM A LABORATORY, THEY MAKE FOCUS ONCE AGAIN AND THEY PUT IT IN THE PLANE 1 AGAIN WHERE THEY WANT. THAT IS ALL THE MYSTERY.INTERLOCUTOR: I HAVE ANOTHER QUESTION INTERLOCUTOR: IT IS CLEAR, BUT I DIDN'T MEAN TO THIS KIND OF APPARITIONS, BUT TO THE GHOSTS THAT WANDER IN THE CASTLES AND CERTAIN PLACES, DRAGGING CHAINS AND MAKING STRANGE NOISES.JOHNAKAN UR-EL: THEY ARE REBELLIOUS SPIRITS OF ERROR WHO SHOW THEIR LAST "SHELL" DIRECTLY TO SCARE, WORRY OR INTIMIDATE TO INCARNATED PEOPLE...
IT IS VERY SIMPLE. BUT THEY DON'T HAVE POWER OVER EMBODIED BEINGS...

As I sit here during Day 2 of a long software implementation, I remember that I have Steve Jobs to thank for this. A long time ago when I still wore short dresses and high heels, my first job out of college was as a legal secretary. Four years of college to become an English teacher and the job I landed paying 50% more than the nearest teaching job was one that required my high school typing class and my solid Catholic grade school grammar. But the senior partner was a quirky guy named Troy who was trying to get an Apple computer to drive an IBM typewriter. This could be fun.
He and one of his clients had this contraption set up in the little law library at the back of the offices. Troy's wife Jeannie refused to have anything to do with it, seeing only money being flushed away on expensive gadgets with no new money floating in. Office managers have to think that way. And Troy's favorite legal secretary Sue likewise declined the opportunity to dip a toe into what felt at the time like science fiction. I was the new kid and basically it was my job to do what Jeannie and Sue didn't want to do. But it paid so much better than the teaching job I had worked so hard to qualify for.
Even before I went back to college to get a second bachelor's degree in computer science, I was pretty sure that Apples and IBM's had just enough of a different philosophy to make this marriage a rocky one. The three of us however tinkered away like mad scientists, interrupted from time to time by real legal work and Jeannie's increased annoyance at kids playing with toys.
Needless to say, Troy, his friend and I did not become famous for the invention. It worked, in a way, but really was better at proving a concept than being a practical solution. It did serve, however, to pave the way for my later career as a programmer, then database analyst, then the long dark years in technology management and finally emerging as an analyst in my present job. It gave me the "tab A, slot B" background for understanding the inner mysteries of Computer Magic and it also gave me the confidence to know that the machine is only as smart as you tell it to be. As a programmer and DBA I later gained an appreciation for Divine Intervention in the world of computers, but for the most part there was comfort in the binary "it's either on or it's off" simplicity of the computational life.
Naturally, it's not that simple any more. The more stuff you plug into the chain of things between your question and the answer you're looking for on a computer, the more complex that simplicity has become. I laugh just as hard as you do (or not) at the promise we made to unsuspecting non-techies that computers were going to make our lives easier. I laugh every time one of the cats walks across my husband's laptop and hits the little setting that disconnects him from the network. I laugh when he roars and whines that his computer is broken. I laugh when I walk into his office and reach forward with one finger, like a magic wand, to press the one little button that solves his problem while he glares at me in disgust and disbelief. Magicians aren't always appreciated, Mr. Jobs. I'll bet you learned that too. Maybe we shouldn't laugh when we do these things. But sometimes it's funny.

"See that little blue light-y thingee?" I ask in my best Goon-techno-speak. He's a people person, not a computer person. "You're gonna wanna make sure that stays blue and if it doesn't, just touch it with your finger." This bit of wizardry repeats itself because it is repeatedly lost. I find he doesn't hear as well when he's at his wits' end. I'm pretty sure I have the same trait so I don't actually mind.
Of course, I'm really only on the fringe of being a real geek. Oh, once, a long time ago in an Illinois far, far away, I lived in the belly of the beast. I worked for a major Midwest insurance company who at the time loved its technical people. You got a rose on your birthday. You could pick your Christmas present from the company out of a catalog. The company had a private park with tennis courts, a small lake, volleyball courts, picnic areas and golf course. I traveled to exotic places like Hartford, Connecticut and Chicago for more intense IBM training, only to learn, like much of life, that if you clean up after yourself once in a while and vacuum out the dust-bunnies, your household and your computer both seem to run more smoothly. In turn for these marvelous perks, I pulled so many all-nighters recovering databases that the IBM guys thought I might have the most experience of anyone they knew performing that little task. They quickly figured out how to automate it with tools and so my dubious glory was short-lived. I think my record was 43 full forward recoveries on the Big Iron. By then I was a long way from Steve Jobs' idea of computing accessibility to mere mortals.
And then there was the dirty little secret. While I loved computer fire-fighting and had branched out into what I thought of as "preventative design" to keep others' really good ideas from going horribly wrong with one little oops, I became bored. Bored! How could I be so ungrateful? The career that more than doubled my salary a couple of times became routine. I could recover mainframe databases in my sleep. Well, I kind of had to because most of the time it was over night so that the business day wasn't interrupted.
I realized that I could concentrate on customer service, which I loved, or "chase" technology and continue to keep up with whatever the latest sexy trend in languages and hardware and database design caught the fancy of the gizmo guys. I loved all that relational vs. hierarchical debate and how far to go with normalizing data. But I wanted it to work, you know? I wanted it to be useful, to make people's lives better. It wasn't just a toy to fiddle with in the law library.
So I gave up trying to be the latest in techno-fashion and concentrated on the folly of trying to make customers happy. Ever after I have spent a lifetime of being misunderstood by my bosses, slugged by the "patients" while packing them into the ambulance and attempting to translate technical terms into something that makes sense to people who have better things to do than try to understand what a dad-blasted machine is thinking.
Here's just a little tip for people hoping to make a career out of technology and customer service: Please, whatever you do, limit your expectations of gratitude from those you are saving. The Magician is so often considered a trickster, a liar, a showman, and a thief by his admirers. Somehow, it never occurs to many people who are your loving customer base that if you have an ability you might choose to use it for good even if you had the opportunity to do otherwise. You may spend a lifetime being needed but never trusted fully. You must remember that a Magician is no one without his audience and you need them as much as they need you. That's the good news and the bad news.
For that, I'm happy we had a Jobs. RIP, Steve.
Best wishes.

A Brief Introduction To The Beliefs Of Buddhism
Posted by
Unknown
/ 11:03 PM /
With all that said, today's post is about Buddhism. I recently purchased a book on Zen and am greatly enjoying my read. I decided to share some of this with you.
The Enlightenment of the Buddha is central to Buddhism. The word "Buddha" means "enlightened" or "awakened". It refers to a fully enlightened being who has awakened from the sleep of ignorance or who is enlightened about both his or her own nature as well the nature of the world. Historically, the word Buddha is most often used to refer to Siddhartha Gautama, a prince of the Shakya clan in ancient India (sixth century BC) who, after a long spiritual struggle, had a great spiritual awakening and became the Buddha, the Enlightened One. As the enlightened sage (muni) of the Shakya clan, he also came to be known as Shakyamuni Buddha.
In his enlightened experience, the Buddha gained insight into the suffering or pain that pervades our existence. He discovered a new mode of awareness and way of living driven neither by the grasping of desire nor by the aversion of hatred. This enlightened awareness is free of the ignorance and delusion that is characteristic of our normal consciousness. It finds expression in a host of positive qualities, most importantly, great wisdom and great compassion. These are exemplified in the life of the Buddha.
The Buddha embarked on a long life as a teacher in Northern India in order to communicate this experience, with its liberating knowledge, to others. He founded a community of followers establishing the basic patterns of institutional life, meditative practice, and philosophical and religious thinking known as Buddhism.
The teachings of the Buddha are preserved in the Buddhist scriptures (sutras).
Buddhists take refuge in the Three Jewels:
The Buddha, who has realized enlightenment
The Dharma, the teaching of the Buddha
The Sangha, the community of Buddhist practitioners.
The young prince Siddhartha Gautama is depicted as having everything one could desire-wealth, bodily beauty, intelligence, a beautiful wife and child, abundant leisure time and so on-yet something was lacking in his life. Despite all that surrounded him, he was still troubled by the fact of death and by the fundamental questions of existence. Awareness of his own and others pain provided the starting point for Siddhartha's spiritual quest. A long search culminated in his becoming the Buddha, the Enlightened One.
It is said that when the Buddha had his awakening, his great enlightenment experience, he doubted whether he could communicate something so profound to others.
After some hesitation, he set out on his quest to teach the knowledge he had gained.
Rather then talk about his great experience, even though it is what made him the Enlightened One, Shakyamuni made the fact of suffering and pain the starting point of his teaching. Acknowledgement of pain is the entry point into a deeper investigation of reality, an opportunity to begin to know things as they are rather then as we might imagine them or wish them to be.
The truth of suffering is the first of the Four Noble Truths.
The Four Noble Truths:
The truth of suffering, "dunkha"The truth of the arising of suffering
The truth of the cessation of suffering
The truth of the path to the end of suffering
According to the Buddha, the cause of the angst in our lives is to be found in the patterns of clinging and aversion that dominate our minds and govern our actions. From moment to moment, we are driven by the desire to get rid of or avoid pain. So enmeshed have we become in patters of desire and avoidance that these patterns have assumed lives of their own and come to control our lives. We do not act in clear awareness, but under the control of often unconscious drives and emotions. Our actions, rather than satisfying our desires, often result in further frustration and antagonism.
That is a brief introduction to Buddhism. It is so much more then what I have provided here and I have found what I have read so far to be completely enlightening!
I hope you enjoyed the read and that it has inspired you to look further into this enlightening way of looking at life on your own. Thank you for taking the time to read my blog!
Don't forget to let me know if you would like to be the first reader featured on my new column at Ye Olde Witches Brew. Send in your questions or what nots!
Brightest Blessings,
Kathy

Delighting In The Trinity

"DELIGHTING IN THE TRINITY"
"IT'S A FEELING EVERY READER KNOWS AND LOVES, AND PERHAPS ESPECIALLY THE READER OF THEOLOGY. IT IS THE FEELING THAT COMES AS YOU READ A BOOK AND FIND YOURSELF THINKING "THIS COULD CHANGE "EVERYTHING"." THERE ARE SOME
"I HAVE READ SEVERAL BOOKS ON THE TRINITY IN THE PAST AND HAVE ALWAYS ENJOYED READING THEM. JAMES WHITE'S "THE FORGOTTEN TRINITY" AND BRUCE WARE'S "FATHER, SON, AND HOLY SPIRIT" ARE BIBLICAL, SYSTEMATIC AND POWERFUL. I'VE READ THEM, BENEFITED FROM THEM, AND OFTEN RECOMMENDED THEM. I WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO. THE UNIQUE ANGLE-AND UNIQUE BEAUTY-OF "DELIGHTING IN THE TRINITY" IS THAT IT LOOKS LESS AT A CONCEPT AND MORE AT A RELATIONSHIP, LESS AT A DOCTRINE AND MORE AT THE PERSONS OF THE GODHEAD. IT IS, AT HEART, AN INTRODUCTION TO THE CHRISTIAN FAITH AND THE CHRISTIAN LIFE THAT SEEKS TO SHOW THAT BOTH MUST BE AT ALL TIMES ROOTED IN THE TRIUNITY OF GOD. ALL THAT GOD IS, ALL THAT GOD DOES, FLOWS OUT OF HIS TRIUNITY. IT IS THE ESSENTIAL CHRISTIAN DOCTRINE. REEVES SAYS THAT HIS BOOK IS"
"ABOUT GROWING IN OUR ENJOYMENT OF GOD AND SEEING HOW GOD'S TRIUNE BEING MAKES ALL HIS WAYS BEAUTIFUL. IT IS A CHANCE TO TASTE AND SEE THAT THE LORD IS GOOD, TO HAVE YOUR HEART WON AND YOURSELF REFRESHED. FOR IT IS ONLY WHEN YOU GRASP WHAT IT MEANS FOR GOD TO BE A TRINITY THAT YOU REALLY SENSE THE BEAUTY, THE OVERFLOWING KINDNESS, THE HEART-GRABBING LOVELINESS OF GOD. IF THE TRINITY WERE SOMETHING WE COULD SHAVE OFF GOD, WE WOULD NOT BE RELIEVING HIM OF SOME IRKSOME WEIGHT; WE WOULD BE SHEARING HIM OF PRECISELY WHAT IS SO DELIGHTFUL ABOUT HIM. FOR GOD IS "TRIUNE", AND IT IS AS TRIUNE THAT HE IS SO GOOD AND DESIRABLE."LIKE ME, YOU HAVE LOOKED AT THE DIAGRAMS THAT ATTEMPT TO DISPLAY THE TRINITY AND YOU'VE HEARD THE VARIOUS COMPARISONS: IT'S LIKE THE THREE STATES OF WATER: LIQUID, STEAM AND ICE; IT'S LIKE AN EGG THAT HAS SHELL, WHITE AND YOLK AND YET IS ONLY ONE EGG. BUT IF WE AREN'T CAREFUL, OUR EXPLANATIONS CAN MAKE THE TRINITY SEEM DISTANT AND DIFFICULT RATHER THAN IMMINENT AND DELIGHTFUL. "FOR ALL THAT WE MAY GIVE AN ORTHODOX NOD OF THE HEAD TO BELIEF IN THE TRINITY, IT SIMPLY SEEMS TOO ARCANE TO MAKE ANY PRACTICAL DIFFERENCE TO OUR LIVES." WHILE WE HAVE A THEOLOGICAL CONSTRUCT OF THE TRINITY IN OUR HEARTS AND MINDS AND STATEMENTS OF FAITH, IT CAN MAKE SO LITTLE DIFFERENCE TO OUR LIVES THAT GOD IS A TRINITY RATHER THAN ONE (OR TWO, FOR THAT). WHAT REEVES SEEKS TO DO, AND WHAT HE DOES SO WELL, IS TO INTRODUCE THE TRINITY NOT AS A PROBLEM OR A TECHNICALITY, BUT AS "THE VITAL OXYGEN OF CHRISTIAN LIFE AND JOY."
"AND SO HE LOOKS AT FATHER, SON AND SPIRIT, HE LOOKS AT CREATION, AT SALVATION, AT THE CHRISTIAN LIFE, PLACING THE TRIUNITY OF GOD AT THE VERY CENTER OF IT ALL. CONSIDER THIS, THE TRIUNE NATURE OF THE CROSS:"
"THIS GOD MAKES NO THIRD PARTY SUFFER TO ACHIEVE ATONEMENT. THE ONE WHO DIES IS THE LAMB OF GOD, THE SON. AND IT MEANS THAT NOBODY BUT GOD CONTRIBUTES TO THE WORK OF SALVATION: THE FATHER, SON AND SPIRIT ACCOMPLISH IT ALL. NOW IF GOD WERE NOT TRIUNE, IF THERE WAS NO SON, NO LAMB OF GOD TO DIE IN OUR PLACE, THEN WE WOULD HAVE TO ATONE FOR OUR SIN OURSELVES. WE WOULD HAVE TO PROVIDE, FOR GOD COULD NOT. BUT-HALLELUJAH!-GOD HAS A SON, AND IN HIS INFINITE KINDNESS HE DIES, PAYING THE WAGES OF SIN, "FOR US". IT IS "BECAUSE" GOD IS TRIUNE THAT THE CROSS IS SUCH GOOD NEWS."HE SAYS A PAGE LATER, "THE MORE TRINITARIAN THE SALVATION, THE SWEETER IT IS."
"HERE'S THE RUB: IF YOU ARE TO DELIGHT IN GOD, YOU MUST DELIGHT IN THE GOD WHO IS, WHICH IS TO SAY, THE TRIUNE GOD. AND IF YOU GAZE AT THIS GOD, YOU WILL BE FILLED WITH DELIGHT. AND THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT THIS BOOK DOES-IT DRAWS THE HEART AND MIND TO THE TRINITY, THE SOURCE OF ALL DELIGHT."
"AND SO, THIS BOOK IS ABOUT DELIGHTING IN THE TRINITY NOT AS A THEOLOGICAL CONSTRUCT, BUT AS THE VERY ESSENCE, THE VERY JOY, OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH. THE TRINITY IS NOT MERELY A DOCTRINE THAT SEPARATES CHRISTIANITY FROM THE OTHER RELIGIONS OF THE WORLD, BUT A DOCTRINE THAT DESCRIBES THE REALITY OF THE GOD WHO IS. WHILE REEVES DEALS WITH ONE OF THE MOST UNFATHOMABLE OF ALL DOCTRINES-ONE WE CAN UNDERSTAND ONLY TO A LIMITED DEGREE-THE BOOK NEVER BECOMES DENSE; WHAT'S MORE, REEVES INFUSES THE BOOK WITH A DROLL, CHEEKY SENSE OF HUMOR. IT'S A PERFECT TONE."
"I AM HARD PRESSED TO THINK OF A BOOK I'VE HIGHLIGHTED SO HEAVILY, A BOOK THAT HAS IMPACTED ME SO IMMEDIATELY, AND A BOOK WHICH I AM SO EAGER TO READ AGAIN SO QUICKLY. I GIVE THIS ONE MY ABSOLUTE HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION."

How To Determine Your Number
You begin by taking your full name, example: Jessica Rae Jones.

More On The Ace Of Disks
Posted by
Unknown
/ 2:42 AM /
The Aces of Disks and Cups have figured heavily in this. I am not going to reveal what I've used them for but I will say that once you understand the meaning behind those cards, a simple visualization can have a huge and nearly instant impact.
But like anything else involving magick there are residual issues. Unexpected things happen that should have been expected.
For instance, in working with the Ace of Disks, my office and house have become more organized and cleaner. My mental self is very grounded. I have paid my bills a week early. I've worked out a budget that should pay off my car very early etc.
The point is that when you immerse yourself in an element, other things will happen that are within that element's purview. In working out my budget, I realized something. I use a rewards type credit card. I pay off my bills mostly on time. So, my end of month balance is pretty low. Given the cash back policy, I actually made nearly 200 by using credit cards this year! Now financial gurus will tell you never to use cards because you spend more with plastic than you to with cash. They are right. Yet this is certainly better than paying them interest!
So why bring that up here? One, because I am damn impressed with myself for making a profit off a credit card company. Secondly, because this does reveal I'm not exactly foolish with money.
This applies here because I've created an internal environment that consists of a measure of fiscal discipline. So what happens if I use that internal environment as a base for magick? I don't have to create financial discipline. I do not have to create income. I simply have to increase discipline into certain areas to pay off that car. Why use internal psychological magick? Because I could have done this before. I knew I could have but I didn't. Magicking up a small change of focus shouldn't take much effort at all. The ground work has already been laid. Lucky ground work!
This is where a variety of models comes into play. Do I really need an external spirit to do this? Unlikely. A bit of internal psychological model "energy" magick should work just fine.

Rite Of The Office Of The Readings
Posted by
Unknown
/ 4:40 AM /
Looking over the posts for the Office of the Readings, I realized that I hadn't included the actual ritual that we performed for the days following the Invocation of Horus on March 20th. I'm going to post it at the top of the blog for now, but I'll eventually be changing the timestamp so that it follows the Invocation of Horus and precedes the subsequent readings. The idea, then, is that there will be a full collection of rituals and readings for anyone who would like to perform their own series in the years to come.
This ritual was adapted by Soror Lalitha from Ordo Sunyata Vajra's "Diamond Sapphire Gem of Radiant Light" and "The Office of the Readings for the High Holy Days" by the Companions of Monsalvat.
0. PREPARATION
The ritual uses two altars, one in the center of the temple and one in the east or in the direction of Boleskine. The ritual is divided into four phases. The first three are based on the principle stages of alchemical work: Nigredo (March 20-25), Albedo (March 26-April 1), and Rubedo (April 1-7). The final stage is the three Days of the Feast (April 8-10), the three days of the writing of "The Book of the Law". The Officiant wears black during Nigredo, white during Albedo, and red during Rubedo. A candle of the same color should be left burning on the eastern altar during each of the three phases along with a statue of Horus and optionally one of Ahathoor. The colors are cycled through in the same order for each of the last three days - black for April 8, white for April 9, and red for April 10. The Officiant directs the ritual from the central altar. On this altar are placed any desired magical tools and a bell or gong. The Lectionary containing the readings is placed on the eastern altar for most of the rite and is retrieved by the Officiant when the readings are given from the central altar. It is then returned.
I. INTROIT
Music is played as the congregation is admitted to the temple. The introit music is as follows:
Nigredo: "Depth of Catastrophe" by Alizadeh
Albedo: "Ninth Aethyr Canticle"
Rubedo: "169 Cries"
First Day of the Feast: "Sirt im Sasani"
Second Day of the Feast: "Horus"
Third Day of the Feast: "Annua Gaudia" by Moore
Each member of the congregation is purified with water and consecrated with incense as they enter the temple. The same is then done to the four quarters and the two altars. Some of the pieces are fairly short so they should be played on repeat until all of these actions have been completed if the congregation is large.
II. OPENING
OFFICIANT: BALASTI! OMPEHDA!
"The Officiant performs the Star Ruby, and when finished strikes the gong."
DO WHAT THOU WILT SHALL BE THE WHOLE OF THE LAW.
ALL: LOVE IS THE LAW, LOVE UNDER WILL.
III. FORMULATION OF THE LIGHT
"The Officiant performs the Star Sapphire."
OFFICIANT: IF THEY SAY TO YOU, WHERE DID YOU COME FROM?, SAY TO THEM, WE CAME FROM THE LIGHT. IF THEY SAY TO YOU, IS IT YOU?, SAY, WE ARE ITS CHILDREN, AND WE ARE THE ELECT OF THE LIVING FATHER. IF THEY ASK YOU, WHAT IS THE SIGN OF YOUR FATHER IN YOU?, SAY TO THEM, IT IS MOVEMENT AND REPOSE. "(Gospel of Thomas, Saying Number 70)"
ALL: NOW I BEGIN TO PRAY, THOU CHILD,
HOLY THY NAME AND UNDEFILED.
THY REIGN IS COME, THY WILL IS DONE,
HERE IS THE BREAD, HERE IS THE BLOOD,
BRING ME THROUGH MIDNIGHT TO THE SUN.
SAVE ME FROM EVIL AND FROM GOOD,
THAT THY ONE CROWN OF ALL THE TEN
EVEN NOW AND HERE BE MINE.
AMEN.
"Officiant strikes the gong."
IV. PRELIMINARY LITANY OF THE OFFICE OF THE READINGS
Officiant: O my Lord, my beloved! How shall I indite songs, when even the memory of the shadow of thy glory is a thing beyond all music of speech or of silence? - Be thou Hadit, my secret centre, my heart I shall get me to the House of the Beloved.
Officiant: I have wandered in desolate places; I have dwelt long apart from delight.
All: Mine heart is uplifted in me, and the serpent flame therein; I shall get me to the House of the Beloved.
Officiant: In the midst of the market's booths, I was alone; only Thy voice murmured to me, "Come away!"
All: Mine heart is uplifted in me, and the serpent flame therein; I shall get me to the House of the Beloved.
Officiant: Whither shall I go, if not to Thee? How shall I enter, if not by the four gates? I shall stand on the floor of Thy palace - even upon the paving of silver and gold I shall stand.
All: Mine heart is uplifted in me, and the serpent flame therein; I shall get me to the House of the Beloved.
Officiant: Sweet unto me are Thy words, O my Beautiful! my ear desireth them as the fire craveth kindling. As the falcon enchained perisheth for want of flight, even so my soul for want of Thee.
All: Mine heart is uplifted in me, and the serpent flame therein; I shall get me to the House of the Beloved.
Officiant: The rose turneth her face unto the Sun; I shall raise my countenance to the stars, Yea, even to the dome of stars wherewith Thou hast roofed Thine house, that house wherein I shall dwell with Thee forever.
All: Mine heart is uplifted in me, and the serpent flame therein; I shall get me to the House of the Beloved.
Officiant: That House, my refuge, and the table Thou hast laid for me - O food to nourish the deepest, O wine to intoxicate the inmost!
All: Mine heart is uplifted in me, and the serpent flame therein; I shall get me to the House of the Beloved.
Officiant: Thou hast spread the banquet, and I shall feast thereupon until the shadows flee away, in Thine everlasting Glory.
All: Mine heart is uplifted in me, and the serpent flame therein; I shall get me to the House of the Beloved.
"During the Nigredo, Albedo, and Rubedo the corresponding hymn is played or sung here. The hymns that we use are by the late Soror Marfiza of the Companions of Monsalvat and are named after the three stages. There is no corresponding hymn for the Days of the Feast. "
Officiant: The Speech in the Silence.
The Words against the Son of Night.
The Voice of Tahuti in the Universe in the Presence of the Eternal.
The Formulas of Knowledge.
THE WISDOM OF BREATH.
THE ROOT OF VIBRATION.
THE SHAKING OF THE INVISIBLE.
THE ROLLING ASUNDER OF THE DARKNESS.
THE BECOMING VISIBLE OF MATTER.
THE PIERCING OF THE SCALES OF THE CROCODILE.
The Breaking Forth of the Light!
V. THE OFFICE OF THE READINGS
"The readings are given here. For most of the Holy Days there are two readings. The first is the appropriate Holy Book reading according to the calendar set down by the Temple and College of Thelema ("
OFFICIANT: I AM THE FLAME THAT BURNS IN EVERY HEART OF MAN, AND IN THE CORE OF EVERY STAR. I AM ALONE: THERE IS NO GOD WHERE I AM. THERE IS NO LAW BEYOND DO WHAT THOU WILT.
"Pause."
NOW MEDITATE UPON THE DIVINE RADIANCE, THAT ONE LIGHT WHICH DESERVES OUR REVERENCE, THE ONE WHOSE NOBLE THOUGHT ENERGIZES AND DIRECTS OUR AWAKENING.
"Formless meditation or chanting follows. A mantra that we have used to good effect in this ritual is NEFER NETJER HERU WED NEH (the perfect god Horus brings life)."
VI. FINAL BENEDICTION
Officiant: Remember all ye that existence is pure joy; that all the sorrows are but as shadows; they pass but there is that which remains.
All: I am uplifted in thine heart, and the kisses of the stars rain hard upon thy body.
Officiant: May Light, Life, Love and Liberty be extended universally to all, under the regency of the One Law of Thelema. May all attain the Stone of the Wise, the Summum Bonum, True Wisdom and Perfect Happiness.
All: ABRAHADABRA!
Officiant: There is an end of the speech; let the Silence of darkness be broken;
All: Let it return into the silence of light.

Cleansing

/ 4:39 PM /
Hold under running water (a stream or a tap)
Lay item outside (in a safe place) in the moonlight
Lay item outside (in a safe place) in the sunlight
Either of the above two can also be done by placing the item on a windowsill
Sprinkling with salt
If it feels like it needs a really good cleanse then cover completely in salt and leave for a few hours
Smudge with incense
Smudge with burning sage or sweetgrass
Sprinkle with a cleansing herb like sage and leave for a few hours
Visualise the item being cleansed by a bright, white light
Ring a bell over the item, using the vibrations to cleanse it
Sprinkle with blessed water
Sprinkle with salt water
Bury the item in soil (but remember where you buried it!)
Please be careful, make sure the particular crystal or magical tool is not porous and that it won't be damaged by water or salt.
All of the above can be worked into a ritual if you choose to, or you could say a few blessing words over the item as you are cleansing it.
Really the choice is yours, go with what feels right for you.

15 Simple Ways To Improve Your Relationship
Posted by
Unknown
/ 7:14 PM /
Good relationships don't just happen; says Dr. Margaret Paul. In general people think if they need to work on their relationships, then it is not the right relationship for them! However just as we need to work on having a good health through physical exercise, proper diet and proper emotions, a good relationship also requires enough care and nurturing.
No matter how sweet and beloved our partner might be, there will still be shortcomings. There is a saying that Roses always come with Thorns! Although it might not be possible to remove the problems in relationships completely, we can still learn how to handle the difficult situations to save our relationship from a breakdown.
According to Grand Master Choa Kok Sui, one of the major reasons why a marriage or a relationship tends to breakdown is because one or both the parties tend to use each other as a "psychic garbage can." This means that if one experiences an extremely stressful day or if one is emotionally hurt by a third person, upon returning home the normal best solution seems to consciously or unconsciously dumping or releasing the stress or psychic garbage on the other partner. The result is normally heated exchange of words and in some cases physical violence. The effect is eventually a breakdown in a marriage or a relationship.
Basically a strong and healthy relationship is one of the best supports in life. As a good relationship can improve all the aspects of life and bring good health, happiness and peace of mind, an inharmonious relationship can also be a tremendous drain. Therefore it is necessary to take care of our relationships and look at them as an investment to achieve greater happiness in life.
1. Know, accept and love yourself
This is one of the basic requirements for a healthy relationship. Often we start a relationship in pursuit of happiness; expecting the other person to make us happy and if we don't find expected happiness, we tend to get disappointed and change the relationship. However real happiness comes from inside!
This is one of the important choices that you can take to improve your relationship. It means you learn how to take responsibility for your own feelings and needs, that instead of trying to get your partner to make you feel happy and secure, you learn how to do this for yourself through your own thoughts and actions. This happens when you learn to treat yourself with kindness, caring, and acceptance instead of self-judgment which always make you feel unhappy and insecure, no matter how wonderfully your partner is treating you.
If you don't know your own needs, wants, qualities and limitations, and more importantly if you don't love yourself you seek relationships as a source of own validation. The effect of such attitude will be aggressiveness, possessiveness, disappointment and unhappiness in a relationship. Even if you change your partner, since the cause and the need for self-validation is still in you, the second relationship will fall into the same pattern as the first one.
If you know yourself, your strengths and weaknesses, and if you love yourself for what you are, it is much easier to love people as they are and to accept their shortcomings.
This will also enables you to become open to change and feedback. When you have low self-confidence or even pride, upon receiving any feedback or comment you tend to react. Remember that we are all evolving, and our relationship is evolving with us. It is OK to make mistake! Just learn from your mistake and move on!
When you learn how to take full responsibility of yourself, then you stop blaming your partner for your upsets.
2. Know your partner
We have been born and grown up in different environments, with different backgrounds and ideas. Each person is a unique being and has a unique language of life. In every relationship it is extremely important to know the other person, his preferences and his language of life.
Often problems in relationships happen because of misunderstandings and misconceptions. Showing love has different meanings for different people. One can feel loved by a hug or a kiss or a physical touch, while another might feel loved through a present or a written poem.
Often we think we are not loved by our partner because we are not familiar with their language.
In many cases also we hurt their feelings unknowingly because we don't know them; their liking and disliking. Pay attention to the nonverbal signals!
Relationships can be improved easily by caring for the other person, learning their language and trying to see the world from their perspective once in a while.
Sometimes it is good to stop talking and simply listen to your partner.
3. Learn to take the whole package
As stated earlier, Roses always come with Thorns! No matter how sweet and wholesome a person is, still there are shortcomings. Therefore it is important to realize that we are all human beings and we all make mistake. Each person has strengths and weaknesses.
If you have chosen to be with a person, you must accept their strengths as well as their weaknesses. You must take the whole package!
One of the techniques which can help you deal with the difficult times in relationships is to capture your partner's good attitudes and actions towards you and the good times you have had together by writing down or taking photos or video. This will help you have a more realistic view of your partner and your relationship during difficult situations.
4. Stop blaming other person, focus on solutions
Often we tend to focus on problems and blame us or others for any problem that occurs in a relationship. However, verbally repeating the mistake of another person is nagging. Nagging will not work! Instead of wasting your time by nagging focus on the solutions.
Think about the reason you have this problem, the lessons that need to be learnt, the required actions and corrections and start implementing them on yourself as well as your partner.
In fact according to Dr. Jack Dominian, it is better for both partners to share joint responsibility and work together to solve it. The phrase "the problem with you is... " should be banned!
One of the techniques that have been emphasized by many specialists including Grand Master Choa Kok Sui which can help is the visualization technique. Imagine the person behaving properly, in the right way. Remember words and thoughts have power. What you think and what you say tend to manifest! If you focus on problems only, the outcome will be more problems. Avoid excessive criticism. Instead, create the right image!
5. Consider the state of your relationship, have a relationship target
First of all you need to know the nature of relationship in general and its purpose. Relationships help you evolve, especially a difficult relationship; they help individuals develop patience, tolerance and forgiveness, stated by Grand Master Choa Kok Sui. In fact relationships are like playing grounds to help us develop self-sacrifice, self-control, patience, flexibility and tolerance, not just to make us happy. If you have a realistic and proper view towards relationships it is easier to handle the difficult situations.
You also need to know the state of your relationship. Is it only in the physical level? Do you have good communication with your partner? Do you understand each other emotionally?
Are you able to have deep conversations? Do you have common way of thinking? Do you have soul contact? You can know the state of your relationship by observing what thoughts and words come out of your mind and your mouth, and your feelings towards one another.
When a relationship is superficial, it tends not to last. If you think you don't have enough harmony and understanding in your relationship, it's time to do corrections!
Have a relationship target. Think where you want to be with the same partner in another 10 years from now.
6. Increase love and respect
The real cause of the disappointments, emotional and psychological ailments is insufficient soul contact. Love is the answer, it is therapeutic.
You must be realistic! Everybody makes mistake. Just forgive and forget and continue living.
'By giving a person love, you make them grow. Project loving-kindness to your partner and the person will bloom.' (Master Choa Kok Sui, 2004, pp. 27-28)
You must remember that when two people interact closely, there will definitely be friction. The lubricant is Love. You can show love to your partner in the form of loving thoughts, loving feelings as well as loving words and actions. Love can also be increased by praising your partner and using nurturing words. The more love is experienced between the partners, there will be more openness.
But remember, real love never looks for paybacks; when you give, give whole-heartedly.
7. Spend quality time, don't take for granted
Most of the times, we tend to take our loved-ones for granted. Only we come to know their value, when they are away from us.
It is extremely crucial for having a healthy relationship to spend quality time together.
Any living being and any relationship needs nurturing to flourish; if left alone and uncared, it won't survive.
The more you spend dedicated, focused and quality time with your loved-ones, the more your relationship gets nurtured. Quality time means your full attention should be towards your partner, you must show that you care.
Remember when you were in love, how you used to find time for your beloved. Especially after getting married, relationships lose their quality since both partners get busy. No matter how busy you are, it is extremely important to set aside specific times to be together, to talk, play, laugh and make love.
8. Meditate, especially with your partner
There are certain meditations available that increase the love and harmony within the family; one is the Meditation on Twin Hearts.
Meditation on Twin Hearts is basically a technique to achieve cosmic consciousness or illumination. It is also a form of service to the world as the world is harmonized to a certain degree through blessing the entire earth with loving-kindness.
This technique can be used to harmonize relationships as well as to bless certain place, city or country. Based on the collected testimonials, any relationship can be improved tremendously by practicing this meditation regularly, especially in a group. It is advisable for families with problems to sit down together and do this meditation on a regular basis.
When a person does Meditation on Twin Hearts, divine energy enters the practitioner's system filling him with divine light, love and power; making the practitioner a channel of divine energy. This divine energy goes in and out of the aura, flushing out the cloud of negative thoughts and emotions, thereby cleansing the aura.
As a result, Meditation on Twin Hearts gives you a better physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health, leading to a better relationship.
9. Speak out
Don't assume that your partner knows your problem. Speak it out!
Often we behave in a certain way to show our partner that we are unhappy! Don't fall into this trap. If you have a problem with your partner or an issue in your life, talk about it, express it to your partner clearly and in a proper manner. Sometimes we need to learn different communication skills to be able to express our thoughts and feelings.
You can also ask your partner if you feel and observe something in the relationship is bothering them. Give time and chance to them to talk as well. This will make your relationship stronger and help strengthen the communication between both of you.
10. Be responsible for your actions, learn your lesson
After childhood, we are all expected to be responsible for what we say and do. Unfortunately there are still many adults that feel safer and more comfortable to place the blame on others instead of themselves. This simple issue is one of the problems that can take the relationship into fail since after sometimes no one wants to be at blame all the time; besides it is exhausting to be around someone who always blames others but never takes the responsibility himself. After all the relationship is supposed to make us grow; if we do not take the responsibility over our own actions and behaviors, change is impossible.
One of the fast ways to improve a relationship is to remove the "blame game" and accept responsibility where it's due; then focus on solutions instead of complaining.
Remember that everyone makes mistake! It is part of life! Evolution requires time, process and lots of mistakes. So admit your mistakes, apologize and learn your lesson.
11. Keep it fun
Couples are usually more fun and playful in the early stages of a relationship. Especially after marriage, this attitude is forgotten as life challenges and resentments increase over time. Keeping a sense of humor enables you to enjoy life, get through the tough times easier and to deal with them more realistically.
Relationships flourish when people laugh together, play together and when excitement and humor is a part of everyday life. Stop taking everything so seriously.
Think about playful ways to surprise your partner. Once in a while try something new and exciting together and keep the relationship fun.
12. Don't react immediately, wait for the right time
In the midst of any argument or fight, remember that if you react it only worsens the problem. Stay calm and detached. Common response to argument is some kind of controlling behavior; both parties want to win, or at least not lose. However, the experiences have shown that controlling through showing anger, blame, judgment, resistance, denying even explaining and teaching is unsuccessful. The more we try to control, the more it adds to the conflict. The moment you react, you are psychologically entangled.
If you think your partner is over-reacting or even if you think you know the solution explaining it in the middle of the argument doesn't work. Since your partner is emotionally imbalanced at that moment, he cannot understand you.
The best approach is to forgive your partner internally, keep your emotions under control, calm down the situation, and keep the talking for the right time. Keep it in mind that it is not the matter of who is right and who is wrong; it is the matter of doing the right thing for the sake of your relationship.
13. Give each other freedom
Many of the married men and women complain about losing their freedom after marriage. Although a person in a relationship might not be as free as a bachelor because of responsibilities and commitments, don't make it harder for your partner by being too possessive.
In any relationship there should be freedom. Freedom is the greatest gift one human being can give to another. Real growth usually happens when we feel free.
Don't be afraid that if you give freedom to your partner they might leave you. Only over-controlling and too much limitation can chase a person away. Giving freedom is not a guarantee that the other person will behave the way you want him to, but it is extremely necessary that you give space to others to be as they are. This is a sign of respect towards others and must be practiced.
14. Take care of unfinished emotional business
If there are a lot of anger and resentment in you because of a deed of your parents, friends or ex-partner in the past, face it, forgive and let go. Don't let the anger accumulate over time.
Accumulated anger, resentment, feeling of abandonment and even guilt not only affect your current state but also affects your future relationships.
Do not be unhappy. Remember that the past is the past! Let go. Learn to forgive and forget. Let go and go on living. Don't let an event in the past ruin your current life and relationships.
According to Grand Master Choa Kok Sui, 'Inner Forgiveness is therapeutic. If you do not forgive, you cannot be internally healed. Forgiving heals the soul.' (Master Choa Kok Sui, 2004, p. 15)
15. Use healing techniques
Sometimes a painful event in the past has been so devastating that we cannot easily forget; or some emotional issues that are affecting our relationship such as stress, resentment, fear or low self-esteem seem to be very difficult to remove. In such cases alternative healing techniques can be very helpful to remove the unwanted feeling or behavior from your system.
Pranic Psychotherapy is one of the most effective methods dealing with behavioral and psychological issues. Its principles and techniques may be used to improve family relationships as well as save a marriage on the brink of a breakdown.
Pranic Psychotherapy is basically Pranic Healing applied in the treatment of psychological disorders. What we call disturbing emotions or thoughts are basically energy forms. Thinking and feeling in fact produce psychic beings which are called "thought forms" and "thought entities" that are real and can influence you and other people. 'When a person has a traumatic experience for example, the traumatic psychic energies produced are lodged in several chakras or energy centers which may in long run, manifest as stress or phobia.' (Master Choa Kok Shui, 2000, p. 17) Unless these thought forms and entities are removed from the system, using techniques such as Pranic Psychotherapy, they remain in the person's chakras and will continue to affect him and his relationship with others. Pranic Psychotherapy in this case can be applied to heal both partners and improve the relationship to a loving and harmonious level.
