Gadsden Flag Commemorates Brotherhood

Many unsuspecting patriots proudly stand behind the "Gadsden Flag" as a symbol of eternal disobedience to tyrants, but little do they know that this symbol represents the most evil secret society of them all.
"The Gadsen Flag is a historical American flag with a yellow field depicting a rattlesnake coiled and ready to strike. Positioned below the rattlesnake are the words "Don't tread on me". The flag is named after American general and statesman Christopher Gadsden (1724-1805), who designed it in 1775 during the American Revolution. It was also used by the Continental Marines". "In 1751, Benjamin Franklin made the first reference to the rattlesnake in a satirical commentary published in his Pennsylvania Gazette. It had been the policy of Britain to send convicted criminals to America, so Franklin suggested that they thank the British by sending rattlesnakes to England."
Benjamin Franklin was of course a Freemason and a member of the Hellfire Club. In 1998 15 bodies where found under Franklins house while undergoing renovations. That being said it is clear a member of the Illuminati helped in the creation of this flag now what does the Snake on the flag actually represent then?
"BROTHERHOOD OF THE SNAKE", a secret society set up by an alien named EA or ENKI. This story is very carefully told in the Sumerian scriptures, which go back at least 6000 years. There it says man was created by draconian aliens, who came to this planet to exploit its resources - especially gold. But the work was heavy, so the alien race wanted someone else to do the hard work. Thus EA, who was a brilliant scientist, created homo sapiens as a hybrid between a primitive earth life-form and the alien race."
First homosapiens was only meant for slave labor and couldn't breed. Later on this was changed. Ea didn't like, though, how his created race was treated and wanted to enlighten them by telling them who they were and where they came from. He also wanted to tell them the well hidden truth that each individual is a spirit inhabiting a body and that after body death the spirit lives on and reincarnates on Earth.
EA's superiors didn't agree to this, as they were afraid of chaos and turmoil, but Ea told them anyway. The early homo sapiens revolted against their Masters, but were forced to retire. Ea then started this secret society, the BROTHERHOOD OF THE SNAKE, to enlighten people in secret. But he was discovered and judged by the alien laws, which meant that Ea was deported to Earth for eternity - to die here and be reborn here in endless cycles, using fragile, short living human bodies. If this is right, he might still be here...
In the meantime, as time passed by, the "BROTHERHOOD OF THE SNAKE" was infiltrated by the Draconian Master aliens and the knowledge was distorted to trap man instead of enlighten him. The Egyptian Era was in fact real "space opera", with aliens walking around among us, even taking the throne as pharaohs on mostly. By that time the Brotherhood was very infiltrated and its purpose to manipulate the masses, making them believe in false gods and masters.
In the background through all history there are the secret societies. The original Brotherhood soon split up in cults, when certain people on top were in disagreement with each other and different powers of control developed, with them even fighting each other (which still is the case today) totally above an ignorant population.
"They invented the different religions and sects and cults so man would be busy doing something else instead of looking into what the Brotherhood was doing. It was also a way to control people by not telling the truth about God and Jesus, so that people would miss the point and never be able to be set free. Religion has always been connected with guilt and punishment, which is NOT the way it is supposed to be. They put themselves in charge of the churches to entrap people and to spread conflicts between different belief systems. Most wars throughout history have been RELIGIOUS WARS. "
Out of the original Brotherhood came Freemasonry, the Rosicrucians, The Knight Templars, Ordo Templi Orientis, Knights of Malta and more. They all knew, on the highest grades, the truth about the origin of man and that we all are spiritual beings and thus immortal. They know God is the REAL and only source, but they distorted that power as we let them deceive us and used the power of God that we have inside of us for their evil purposes. This knowledge is a very well kept secret and they have done everything in their power to hide the truth from people, and one must say they succeeded quite well. People who for some reason or another have stumbled upon the road to truth has either been ridiculed, slandered or even killed.

Candle Magic
There is something about the magic of working with a candle that is very attractive. Perhaps its because it harkens back to earlier, more primitive times, when we depended upon candles for illumination, especially during long winters, when light was scarce.Candle burning, for meditation and magic, can be a very valuable tool to any witch/wiccan/magician/occultist. The light of a candle is hypnotic...it allows us to concentrate our attention on the flame, or on the melting dripping wax and the images it makes, both in the real world and in our magical collective memory..or 'imagination'. Scented or shaped candles can be used for special intentions. The red male/female molded candles are often used for love magic, the wonderfully fey black cat candles are used for house magic...in many traditions, cats were the 'guardian' spirits of the home, and worked protectively to keep the home safe. They were also used as protection for pregnant women and to safeguard children, as cats are considered excellent mothers. Candles with certain scents may also help or influence magical works.
The essence of pine as it floats through the air in a small apartment or magical space may harken us back to a more natural state, it may relax us, help us to direct our earth based energy toward the right mark. A scent of
myrrh as it fills the air may remind us of the mystical place inside ourselves, giving us the freedom to leave this earthly form and 'astral'.
The colors of candles can also play a big part in candle magic...color is symbolic to us, but also may be influenced by the human aura, which are perceived by us in human form as color, and carry us onto another plane. Some examples of candle color correspondences are:
Love/sexual attraction - red or pink
Purity/devotion - white
Luck/fertility/money - green
Health/tranquillity - blue
I myself use a great deal of candle magic, both formal and informal. I've found candles exceedingly helpful in meditation, and in most spell-work I do. For a simple candle spell, I will take a candle, choosing the color for the intention desired, and 'dress it' For me, this means rubbing it with a special oil, though any earth/vegetable based oil can be used. I will rub the candle, first from the middle down, then from the middle up, concentrating on my intention. Then, I will carve the intention gently into the wax itself with a pin. I have found this very helpful. Then, I will begin the ritual proper.
There are many wonderful
Like any magic, Candle burning can be quite a powerful link to the Universal power we invoke when we work magic. I remember one ritual I was conducting some time ago for a friend, who was having trouble 'letting go' of a departed loved one. She had requested we participate in a ritual to be able to say good-bye to this person. Shortly after the anointed candles were lit, the flames rose quite high and a gentle breeze filled the closed room, as the smell of roses filled the air. My friend felt the enveloping presence of her lover, who seemed to make the candles sizzle with a fiery intensity before leaving her with a feeling of warmth, love, and completion.
It should be pointed out to those who are new to candle magic, that this is a magical tool, not a toy, and should be used wisely and with care. But if one follows good common sense, and meditates and uses creative visualization for protection, nothing is to be feared for even the beginning student.

NEWS RELEASE: Tuesday, June 24, 2008 10:51 a.m.PRAYER REQUESTHis Grace Bishop Maxim of the Western American Diocese urges all of our Orthodox faithful to "OFFER PRAYERS" for the protection of the St. Herman of Alaska Serbian Orthodox Monastery in Platina, California. Wild fires are quickly approaching the Monastery grounds and the Monastery is in great danger of being burned down.
The Monastic Community has been evacuated and are seeking refuge in the neighboring parish of Redding, California. UPDATETuesday, June 24, 2008 - 5:37 p.m.
Dear Fathers, Brothers and Sisters, The Monks have evacuated from Platina and are now in Redding with us (St. Andrew's). They brought down all of their vehicles loaded with possessions of the Monastery.
They are collected at one parishioners home right now and we will be finding them accommodations this evening. The fires are still raging. The forest Service just set a back fire on Noble Ridge (the winds were favorable) as a mans of cutting out fuel for the main fire to go over the Ridge. The smoke at Platina was so thick you could barely see or breathe.
We will be having Vespers and Compline at St. Andrews tonight. The nuns at St. Xenia Skete are still there and have not had to evacuate yet, but are on high alert. Two of our parishioners went up today with trucks to bring down Monastery possessions to Redding We still are awaiting to see what they will be doing.
The Monastics will probably be staying in Redding for a while, secondary to the extreme fire conditions (over 875 fires are going in Northern California from a Saturday lightening strike) and the smoke is quite thick. The sky in Redding is like overcast with ash falling. Please keep them all in your prayers.
We ask God's help to send relief to the Monastics, the fire fighters and others made homeless. Thank you for your prayers and blessings to all of you,Fr. Michael Boyle, Parish PriestSt. Andrew Fool-for-Christ Serbian Orthodox Mission Parish Redding, CaliforniaSOURCE:

Time Consciousness And The Lifeforce
Posted by

Consider the possibility that Past, Present and Future are the ever-shifting faces of a Triune Trickster. What would it mean if the past is changing even as we speak? Of course the present is ever-mercurial and that's where a myriad of mystical voices urge us to station ourselves: Be Here Now, the Eternal Now, Thisness. And we don't have a hard time with the notion of an ever-changing future (but that's mostly because our wants, needs and ideas of the future change, isn't it?). But the past, it seems to the conventional mind, is fixed and unchanging. But what if that's simply not so?
Consciousness is "a priori" AND ultimately not confined by time or the body. Time is a present reality and apparently a manifestation of Divine Power. How does it normally govern us, within the span of one life? What about "after" that life? Is incarnation necessarily forward? Is that a "trend" or a "law"? Or do we move about in consciousness based on associations and affinities, and is that why the Pagan Sages in so many cultures spoke of repeating cycles of ages? Does Time disappear, or merely change its face as our understanding changes? And what happens to the "normal" experience of Time when the soul grows in divine grace, knowledge and power? Are the Heaven of the Ancestors and the Heaven of the Gods both outside of time, or in realms where time works differently?
My perception is that our ordinary consciousness is actually a Hall of Mirrored Realities in which the source image is no more real and no more relevant than any of its reflections and inversions. There is a core consciousness that pervades past, present and future and I gno it can become more and more accessible to our active engagement.
Everything that exists inhabits Divine Infinity within and without, above and below. The universe is evenly dispersed in localized simultaneity, so that every part contains the Whole and is itself that Whole. It is always-though slippery to developmental consciousness-everywhere at once and fully manifest.
You are Divine, and everything you do affects the Whole. This is the High Magic of the Golden Age and the means of its return. Vibe on the Whole-get a grip on the hem of its garment and change the world with the power of the lifeforce that burns within you. It is that very dynamo that gave birth to the cosmos itself and to all the God/dess(e)s.

Weird State
Posted by
Unknown
/ 5:56 PM /
I am in a weird state of mind or soul.
I am a ceremonial magician. I am also a rigid bastard. Rigidity has served me well on my trek. It has (mostly) kept me out of trouble. From stage left, enter Pan.
Um. Yeah. I don't believe in fear. I feel it from time to time. And, unless you're pointing a gun at me, I run over it. Most of the time. When I can't do that, I ignore it. Being told that I blacked out twice, once while completely sober is well, sobering. It is against the rules I live by. Accidental or not, it is a serious problem. I do not get 'passive'. Ever. The gods love horses. They will run them into the ground, especially Pan. I wish I didn't like him. Then, I could boot him to the side. He'd kill me if he wanted and then we could start a new life. That isn't going to happen.
The above concept of being passive applies to my path, not someone else's. Those of the voodoo path are quite okay with it. Yet, I am not into the voodoo that you do and do so well. I'm sure there are other paths that are okay with passivity. It does not fit into how I was taught. Then again, I am becoming my own now. Maybe it is okay, now. And what do I care who it is okay with? I don't. I do care if I'm sliding off the path.
I have noticed something in my dreams that I've alluded to hear once or twice but didn't really have the words to describe them. I've mentioned the colors have changed. I couldn't' define how. All my life my dreams have been in darkness. There is light coming from (or reflected from) that which I encounter but all the action, even in 'daytime', looks and feels like night. There is darkness, lots of darkness. Now, there is ambient light. The structures and beings I encounter are more solid. Did I mention that there is ambient light? Does that mean I'm at a higher level of Yesod during my 'average' dreams? Don't know but I like this better. I feel more alive in my dreams. The feel more communicative even when I don't remember. My old dreams were just my subconscious playing out hopes, fears, dreams or whatever. Now, that subconscious part of me is directed, purposeful, communicating.
My back is a mess. That is making work a mess. A huge mess. A big mess. I can't post about that here.
I feel very much in transition. Frankly, pretty much like I'm dying. The kicker is, I don't care. I'm a bit anxious but in a really healthy state of mind. I've never been more secure in me. I'd like a few more friendships outside my 'play group', I'd like a bit more of a financial cushion but aside from that I am good. I am only insecure about one thing, which, would be inappropriate to post about. Life may all explode over the place in the next several months anyway. Odd. Yes, I know this a rambling post that will not win any composition awards. Yet, this is how my mind is right now. Present, yet off. Pleasant, yet a bit apprehensive of the method of death, not death itself. I am not resigned or indifferent. I am detached.
Saturday, Joe said, "[my name] is no more." He may be right.
I can feel that I am in a very exciting stage of the work and a very dangerous one. I am at that point that my HGA and my mentor warned me about when they told me to lay off the goetia for a while. I don't know why they said that. Except that I am in exactly that point that they were concerned about.
My universe appears to be changing. I am changing. I have fear. I have gleeful anticipation. Yet, even with resolute purpose, I feel lost. My HGA is telling me all is good. I am exactly where I need to be, right now. My emotions do not have the faith in my HGA that my intellect has or is that backwards? Hard to tell.
My HGA told me to make a list of all the things that interested me. He told me to focus on just those right now. There is a list of magick stuff and baseball. Baseball, will be a good thing.

Some Spell Aids

/ 12:53 PM /
To Receive Nature's Aid:
In the Spring, make an amulet and inside put fine dirt. Wear this about your neck. Wear a loose, flowing robe of green. Do not bind up your hair, wear shoes or any kind of cosmetic or artificial scent.Take a small tree you have purchased or some seeds and go to a large open field. Carry a large container of water with you and water some of the flowers in the field. Then plant the tree or seeds, water them and say:
I feel power all around me - The great movement of the universe.
And I see the mighty and the miniature Miracles about me.
Then I must also feel and see
The insignificance of human frame And the limits of my power.
Yet I see my place among the Flowers and the creatures of the field.
And so I kneel in obedience And give myself to you.
Then lie flat in the clearing and after a period of meditation, arise and put a mark of dust upon your forehead. Find three leaves and put them in your hair. Sleep that night with the window open. Good favor should be gained.
If your husband is not as ardent as you'd like, put a pine cone under his pillow. Turkey bones are another old favorite for this. (No Wonder he'll move over to your side of the bed!)
For Psychic Dreaming:
On the first night of the full moon, combine Mugwort, Patchouli, Cedar shavings, Oak Moss, ground Cardamom and Lavender. Lace them with oil of Patchouli, Wisteria, Lemon Grass and Sandalwood. Pour the mixture in a glass jar or bowl along with a small cleansed crystal and cover it. The jar should be set outside where it can catch the moon's rays. Be sure to bring it in again before the sun comes up. Do this for 3 nights in a row.
Use the mixture (crystal included) to stuff a small pillow case made of muslin. This can then be inserted into a cover made of black, deep blue or purple velvet. Trim the pillow with fringe or tassels and, if you wish, embroider a pentagram, crescent moon, small stars or runes on it.This Magick Pillow may be placed by your regular one on a night when you wish to have a Psychic dream. Be sure to keep a journal and pen next to your bed along with a candle or oil lamp to record the visions that will come.

Vatican Weighs In On Cult Like

/ 8:01 AM /
VATICAN CITY (AP) - The Vatican has proposed giving hundreds of women who live like nuns within the troubled Legion of Christ order greater autonomy after a Holy See investigation found serious problems in their regimented communities.
The pope's delegate running the Legion, Cardinal Velasio De Paolis, said in a letter published Monday that the problems of the consecrated women of the Legion's lay branch were "many and challenging." Of particular concern is that they have no legal status in the church.
In a 2010 Associated Press expose, former consecrated women spoke of the cult-like conditions they lived in, with rules dictating nearly every minute of their day - from how they ate to what they watched on TV - all in the name of God's will.
The women described emotional and spiritual abuse they suffered if they questioned their vocation, and of how they would be cast aside if their spiritual directors no longer had any need for them.
The Vatican ordered the investigation after word of the abuses emerged during a broader Vatican probe into the Legion, a conservative order founded in Mexico in 1941 by the late Rev. Marciel Maciel.
After decades of denying allegations Maciel was a pedophile, the Legion in 2009 began admitting to his double life: that he sexually abused seminarians and had fathered at least three children with two women.

GLOSSARY OF TERMS COMMONLY USED IN WICCA
Copyright 1992 by Rowan Moonstone and Durwydd MacTara
AKASHA- the spiritual ether (or Aether); the omnipresent fifth occult element which embraces the other four- earth, air, fire, and water; and from which they stem. This is the realm of "pattern" or causality, from which the realm the normally thought of "five senses manifests. Some define it is the "other" of the "two worlds" that the witch or magician walks between.
ARADIA- Daughter of the Goddess Diana, and a name for the Goddess used by Italian Witches or Strega, commonly used in many Wiccan traditions today.
ASPECTING- Any advanced magickal activity in which a practitioner manifests a particular aspect of the Goddess or God, in thought, feelings, behavior, appearance, etc.; Often as a direct result of a "Drawing Down". Often a minor variation of this phenomena occurs with the selection of a "Magical Name", of Craft Name.
ASPECTS- Forms, facets, or personas of Deity: for example, Brighid, Iseult, Eos, and Kore are all aspects of the Maiden, and the Maiden is an aspect of the Goddess.
ATHAME- black handled, double edged dagger. Principally used to cast and dissolve the circle, for which purposes it is interchangeable with the magic sword. A tool of the "Element" of Fire in the Georgian Tradition and some others.
BELTANE- May Eve festival. One of the Ancient Celtic "Fire Festivals." on this night, the cattle were driven between two bonfires to protect them from disease.
Couples wishing for fertility would " jump the fires" on Beltane night. Also the traditional Sabbath where the rule of the "Wheel of the Year" is returned to the Goddess. This Festival also marks the transition point of the threefold Goddess energies from those of Maiden to Mother.
BOOK OF SHADOWS- Traditionally hand copied book of rituals, recipes, training techniques, guidelines, and other materials deemed important to a Witch or a coven. Each tradition has it's own standard version of the Book and each Witch's book will be different as he or she adds to it with time from many different sources. Only another Witch can see your book of shadows. Also, traditionally, it may never leave your hands or possession until death, when it should be destroyed, or (in some traditions) returned to the coven to be disposed of.
BURNING TIMES- a term used by some Witches for the period of persecution in the Middle Ages and later. It is in fact a misnomer in some places, as Witches were only burned in Scotland, and on the continent of Europe. In England and the U.S., they were hanged.
CANDLEMAS- Festival held on Feb. 1. One of the 4 Celtic "Fire Festivals.
Commemorates the changing of the Goddess from the Crone to the Maiden.
Celebrates the first signs of Spring. Also called "Imbolc" (the old Celtic name). This is the seasonal change where the first signs of spring and the return of the sun are noted, i.e. the first sprouting of leaves, the sprouting of the Crocus flowers etc. In other words, it is the festival commemorating the successful passing of winter and the beginning of the agricultural year. This Festival also marks the transition point of the threefold Goddess energies from those of Crone to Maiden.
CARDINAL POINTS- North, South, East, and West, marked in the Georgian Tradition by candles of green, red, yellow, and blue, respectively. The Circle is drawn to connect these four points.
CHALICE- one of the tools of the Witch. Placed on the altar to represent the element of Water.
CHARGE OF THE GODDESS- The Traditional words of the Goddess to her followers, or
"hidden children". Normally declaimed by the HPS at every coven Circle.
CIRCLE- the area in which the magickal worship and spells takes place. Can also be used to designate a particular group of Witches or Pagans such as "Silver Acorn Circle".
CONE OF POWER- power raised in the circle by the Witches assembled, and sent out into the world to work magick, is usually visualized as being retained and built in the form of a "cone" prior to release.
COVEN- an organized group of Witches, led by a High priestess and/or a High Priest who meet regularly for worship and fellowship. The traditional membership is 13, but in fact most covens number considerably less. 3 is the minimum in the Georgian Tradition. In Middle English, "Covin" a group of confederates; In Old French "Covine" a band or group with a single purpose; Latin "Com"-together,
"Venire"-to come or move.
COVENSTEAD- regular meeting place for a coven. Usually the home of the High Priestess or High Priest.
COWAN- a non-Witch. Formerly used in a very derogatory manner. Still used in Masonic Ritual to indicate the non initiate and/or pretender to "real craft".
Not often used today among most Witches.
COYOTE ENERGY- trickster energies. Named for the American Indian Trickster, Coyote, who tricks man into learning what he needs to learn. Applies to one who constantly jokes and clowns. Also applies to the concept of "Holy Fool" in many traditions.
CROSS QUARTER DAYS- The modern name for the Celtic Fire Festivals of Samhain, Imbolc, Beltane, and Lammas.
DEOSIL- clockwise, or sunwise. Traditional direction for working "building"
magick.
DRAWING DOWN THE MOON- Ritual invocation of the spirit of the Goddess into the body of the High Priestess by the High Priest.
DIVINATION- magical method of exploration or inquiry into a situation via such methods as Tarot cards, runestones, I-Ching, etc.
ELEMENTS- Earth, air, fire, and water, plus spirit, which includes them all.
These are regarded as realms or categories of nature (both material and non- material) and are not to be confused with the physicists table of elements, which the modern witch, of course, accepts.
ESBAT- weekly or biweekly meeting of a coven. Traditionally held either on the full moon or the new moon.
FAMILIARS- Either a Witch's pet animal which has been trained to be a magickal helper, or an artificially created "elemental" which performs the same functions as the animal friend.

GARDNERIANS- Tradition of Witchcraft descended from the teachings of Gerald Gardner.
GNOMES- an "entity" or "elemental" that dwells in the plane of Earth or is associated with the EARTH Element.
GREAT RITE- The rite which is the main feature of the third degree initiation, and which is also laid down for certain festivals. It is sexual in nature, but may be `actual' (and private to the couples concerned) or symbolic, as the participants wish.
HALLOWS- name used by some traditions for Samhain, or Halloween.
HANDFASTING- Wiccan equivalent of a wedding. It can be made legal if the Priestess and/or Priest are registered as clergy with the local authorities, or it may only be considered binding within the coven.
HIGH PRIEST/ESS- Technically speaking, a Witch who has received the 3rd degree initiation. More usually, the male and female leaders of a coven.
IMBOLC- Celtic name for Candlemas.
INVOCATION- The ritual "calling-in" of an entity (or energies) higher than human, either for communication with the caller through a medium or by visible manifestation or else to enter into a human body as in the Drawing Down the Moon. In some traditions, a Prayer.
LAMMAS- August 1st. Witch Festival. The Old Celtic name for this festival is Lughnassadh. It is the Festival of the First Fruits, and is the first of the 3 harvests. This festival also marks the change of the Threefold Goddess energies from that of Mother to Crone.
MAIDEN- An appointment held by one of the women of the coven. She is virtually the assistant High Priestess. This term is also the descriptive term used to describe the first of the aspects of the Threefold Goddess Energies (Maiden, Mother, and Crone). It is traditionally associated with the Waxing Moon, and the period from Imbolc (Candlemas) to Beltane (May eve) where the energies are those of initiating, beginning, and creation.
OLD RELIGION- another name for the Craft.
PAGANING- Presentation of an infant to the Circle and to the Gods.
PENTACLE- a disc shaped talisman; in particular, the metal disc, which represents the earth element among the witch's working tools.
PENTAGRAM- The five-pointed star. With a single point uppermost, it represents the human being. Inverted, with two points uppermost, it can have Satanist associations; but not necessarily. Some traditions of Wicca use the inverted pentagram to signify an initiate of the second degree.
QUARTERS- The North, East, South, and West parts of a magickal circle or other ritual area. (See also "Watchtowers")
REDE- Rule or law.
SABBAT- one of the Eight festivals or high holy days of Wicca.
SALAMANDER- An entity that dwells in the realm of Fire.
SAMHAIN- The festival of remembrance for the dead, held on the eve of Nov. 1st.
It is the last of the three harvests. This festival also marks the transition of rulership of the "Wheel of the Year from that of the Goddess to that of the God.
SCRYING- Divination, usually using such methods as crystal gazing, or divination via incense smoke, or water as opposed to tarot or other manipulative means.
SPELL- A prayer, or verbal direction of magickal energies toward the accomplishment of some goal.
SUMMONER- The male officer of the coven who corresponds to the Maiden. He is the assistant High Priest.

UNDINE- An "entity" or "elemental" that dwells in the plane of Water or is associated with the WATER Element.
WAND- A rod or staff that is prepared so that it may be used for magickal or psychic purposes, usually to project some form of power.
WARLOCK- A term coined in the Burning Times. It was used to denote a traitor to the Craft, or one who had betrayed the followers of the Old Religion. Its origin is Scottish. Because of the negative connotations, it is not used by most Wiccans today.
WATCH TOWERS- Originally from the Enochian branch of Ceremonial Magick, now incorporated into many "Traditions" of Wicca, these are the four elemental
"directions" or "quarters" (corresponding to the appropriate points on the compass) called to protect the Circle during its establishment. Each of them have a correspondence between the compass point, an element, and (varying amongst different traditions) color associated with them.
WICCA- the name most modern day Witches use for the Craft. It comes from the Anglo-Saxon word Wicce, meaning to bend or to shape. This is the root word from which we get wicker.
WIDDERSHINS- Counter clock wise. Used for "tearing down" OR BANISHING magick.
WHITE HANDLED KNIFE- The working knife of a Witch. It is used to carve candles, and for fashioning the other tools. Traditionally, it can only be used in a Circle.

GREEN'S "MESSING WITH THE DEVIL IS GONNA GET YOU BURNED" REVIEW:
In a small southern town, Annie Wilson, a widow (Cate Blanchett) struggles to raise her three small sons, using her psychic abilities and a poor man's deck of tarot cards to help her friends and people who come to her. Some of those clients are everyday townsfolk, like Buddy (Giovanni Ribisi) the mechanic and Valerie Barksdale (Hilary Swank), the abused wife of Donnie (Keanu Reeves), the town bully. When a young socialite woman (Katie Holmes), the fiancee of the school principal (Greg Kinnear), turns up missing, the police chief (JK Simmons) reluctantly asks Annie for help. But how much does she see and know?
I bought this DVD a while ago because of the merits of the starring cast, not really knowing what to expect or what the movie was about, except that films Cate Blanchett are in are usually pretty darn good. Surprisingly, I liked this film better than I thought I would.
Simply, Cate Blanchett is amazing, with her southern accent and the way she looks so...plain and ordinary. She is clearly one of the top five actresses Hollywood has seen in the last fifty years. The supporting cast is also excellent. Keanu Reeves who I usually recall playing likable characters in his films is surprisingly good being bad. Giovanni Ribisi continues to prove versatile in the roles he plays and he does do a good job playing one who is a little loose upstairs. Greg Kinnear has never been one of my favorite actors but always seems to turn in a solid performance. I'm not sold as much on Katie Holmes and think you could have cast a number of other actresses in her part and wouldn't have missed a beat. And you can't even blame her casting on the fame of being Mrs. Tom Cruise because this film was five years in the can before that happened.
I was surprised to find out that Billy Bob Thornton was co-writer (along with Tom Epperson) of the screenplay. His writing skills, in my opinion, are questionable at best. That being said, the screenplay is decently workable. There was only one scene near the end that was missing that I thought would have closed the film nicely. If you've seen this movie you might understand what I'm thinking of but I'm not going to say in case you haven't watched this movie.
"This is the project that director Sam Raimi worked on before turning his attention to the excellently done Peter Parker trilogy known as the Spiderman" franchise. So you could legitimately say that Raimi, despite several credits on his resume, was still a relatively unheralded director at this time. What he was able to do here is take a decent script and guide it along to a better than average end result.
The main DVD extra is a short interview session with the actors and director which was good but could have been longer.
I don't put any stock into the whole psychic, tarot card reading thing, so it is a credit to this film that someone like me would enjoy it as much as I did.

INTRODUCCI'oN:

The document in question reflects the desire of the Catholic Church to return to the traditions of the past and maintain the authentic liturgy of the church that was preserved in the Roman Missal.
In the deliberations of the Second Vatican Ecumenical Council, the Council decided that the tradition of the Church should be preserved whole and intact. Liturgiam authenticam (# 4) states:
Clearly, the same vigilance is required for the safeguarding and the authentic development of the liturgical rites, the ecclesiastical traditions, and the discipline of the Latin Church, and in particular, of the Roman Rite. The same care must be brought also to the translation of the liturgical texts into vernacular languages. This is especially true as regards the Roman Missal, which will thus continue to be maintained as an outstanding sign and instrument of the integrity and unity of the Roman Rite.
In my view, the recommendation concerning the translation of the tetragrammaton should be understood in this context. Since the name "Yahweh" is a scholarly construct, the use of Yahweh in the liturgy of the Catholic Church departs from the traditional use of the divine name because it does not follow the historical traditions of the church. Neither the Septuagint, the Church Fathers, nor the Vulgate used the name "Yahweh." For this reason, the Catholic Church believes that modern translations of liturgical texts should refrain from using this scholarly construct and return to the traditional ways of translating the divine name.
The view that the purpose of Liturgiam authenticam is to maintain traditional Catholic teaching is reinforced by a letter called "Letter to the Bishops' Conferences on the 'Name of God'" (Prot. N. 213/08/L). This letter is dated 29 June, 2008 and was signed by Francis Cardinal Arinze and Archbishop Albert Malcolm Ranjith. According to Paul Zalonski at Communio, the letter has the following directives:
1. In liturgical celebrations, in songs and prayers the name of God in the form of the tetragrammaton, YHWH is neither to be used or pronounced.
2. For the translation of the Biblical text in modern languages, destined for liturgical usage of the Church, what is already prescribed by n. 41 of the Instruction Liturgiam authenticam is to be followed; that is, the divine tetragrammaton is to be rendered by the equivalent of Adonai/Kyrios: "Lord", "Signore", "Seigneur", "Herr", "Se~nor", etc.
3. In translating, in the liturgical context, texts in which are present, one after the other, either the Hebrew term Adonai or the tetragrammaton YHWH, Adonai is to be translated "Lord" and the form "God" is to be used for the tetragrammaton YHWH, similar to what happens in the Greek translation of the Septuagint and in the Latin translation of the Vulgate.
After listing these three directives, Zalonski wrote:
The cardinal and the archbishop explain in the first part of the letter the value of remaining faithful to the consistent teaching and tradition of the Church. Here one can say that in following this teaching Catholics have continuity of faith: legem credendi lex statuat supplicandi (often abbreviated by the bromide of lex orandi, lex crendendi). The implication of this teaching, therefore, has much to do with Christology, liturgical theology, catechetics and interfaith dialogue with our Jewish brothers and sisters. I think the final paragraph bears prayerful consideration because of the Church's objectivity:
Avoiding pronouncing the tetragrammaton of the name of God on the part of the Church has therefore its own grounds. Apart from a motive of a purely philological order, there is also that of remaining faithful to the Church's tradition, from the beginning, that the sacred tetragrammaton was never pronounced in the Christian context nor translated into any of the languages into which the Bible was translated.
Several other bloggers have commented on the implications of Liturgiam authenticam. Some of these bloggers are Iyov, Fritz Voll, Kevin Edgecomb, Bosco Peters, John Hobbins, Charles Halton, David Hymes, Doug Chaplin, Jim West, and Rocco Palmo. Michael Gilligan has a good study of the use of the tetragrammaton in the Bible and liturgy.
Tomorrow I will discuss the use of the divine name in the Bible and in liturgy.

"WORDS HYPNOTIZE AND DECEIVE EVERYONE AT ONE TIME OR ANOTHER, BUT THESE HYPNOTIC WORDS CANNOT LAST LONG IN THE HEARTS OF TRUE WARRIORS.
- Barney Bush, SHAWNEE
We are a part of an interconnected system. Words in themselves have no meaning. It is the spirit and intent behind the words that really show the meaning. We are connected to each other at the center of the atom which makes up the air and our body. The center of the air's atom system is connected to the center of our body's system. I am connected to you and you are connected to me in the center of our being. If my words have no meaning, you can feel this through the center of your being.

What Is The Vatican Saying To Gays
Posted by

/ 7:51 AM /
From Malcolm Boyd (Huffington)
As a gay man and an Episcopal priest, I'm frankly extremely confused by the Vatican right now when it comes to the entire gay question.
Am I loved by anybody there?
By whom?
What's going on in the sacred halls when it comes to gay identity, gay rights, gay existence - maybe the whole question of who I am as a gay person?
I knew something strange was going on when Pope Benedict "retired" or vanished. He had never been a civil rights leader for gay people. Not at all. Yet he was a spiritual leader for millions of people. Did he have, in the recesses of his mind, any kind of "solution" to the "gay question"?
But then, rather suddenly, strange things started happening in the Vatican. The pope's valet seems to have taken, and published, certain documents that were highly controversial. (What was going on here?) The guy was found guilty of something, and could have gone to jail, but the pope "forgave" him. End of story? I don't think so. Then the pope vanished from the scene. The huge Vatican operation came to a kind of halt. Benedict was given the equivalent of an award dinner - and vanished.

Many Wiccans and Pagans use crystals and gemstones in workings, because every stone is connected to some aspect of the human experience. Different traditions attribute various therapeutic and magical properties to each stones, but you can learn which correspondences work best for you. While this is by no means a comprehensive list of every stone in existence, you can use this as a reference point and add to it in your own notes. A Charlotte Mason Examination Year 3 Term

This term, we are doing three days of exams. On Thursday and Friday, I plan to either give kitchen lessons (cooking and/or baking) or do a field trip. It sort of depends on the weather, and it sort of depends upon me getting together a plan. I have been so preoccupied with writing the examination and term report (which replaces grading-I don't do grading), that I haven't thought past Wednesday.
This time around, I'm going to post the three written examinations, and then end with the oral examination. The oral examination is given in the evening with the grandparents. Each adult (four including my husband and myself) has a set of questions in their hand, and we take turn asking them. I have no idea how we will do this when we have more than one child needing to be examined, but it works for us for now.
In addition to the exams, E. will still work on two pages of math per day and continue with his articles for his various binders and his Bible reading. I think we will skip the written narrations because it would be too much writing for one day. He can pick that back up next week.

A Demon Worshippers Throne In Ganden

Ganden Shartse Monastic College
BY: SHASHI KEITSONGKHAPA'S LEGACY
If there is anywhere in the world where the Buddhas, the Dharma and the Sangha are expected to converge, it would be in the sacred monasteries, for it is the monastery where we would retreat to in our renunciation of all things samsaric and pursue a life of Dharma, in accordance to the Buddha's teachings. There are few places where moral discipline and the Buddhist teachings are held in such high esteem as in Ganden Monastery which was founded by the sage, Je Tsongkhapa, who is regarded as a Buddha himself.
In Ganden Monastery's main prayer hall, there are thrones of the highest lamas of the lineage to represent their supreme attainments and virtues. So, would it not be the last place on earth where one would find the throne of a demon worshipper? Yet, if certain accusations that have plagued Tibetan Buddhism this century are correct, this is exactly what one would find at the illustrious Ganden monastery.
Ganden Monastery stands today as one of the leading Buddhist universities in the world which is not surprising seeing that it was the very institution that was established by Je Tsongkhapa himself. Je Tsongkhapa was born at a time when Tibetan Buddhism was degenerating yet by the time Tsongkhapa passed into clear light, he had managed to arrest that decline. As a means of preserving the restored purity of the Dharma, Tsongkhapa founded the Gelugpa lineage, which became known for its moral discipline and its extremely vigorous analysis of the Sutra and Tantra via extensive study and debate.
All that was held precious by Tsongkhapa is embodied in the Ganden tradition and the strict monastic code it upholds, which is to the keep the teachings of the Buddha alive and incorruptible. The Ganden system operated efficiently, so when the Tibetans in exile had to flee their conquered country, they managed to re-establish a new Ganden monastery in South India in 1966, which rose quickly into prominence and continued to perpetuate the Ganden lineage.
The old traditions were successfully preserved and continue to be practiced behind the walls of Ganden in India today. For example, in accordance to tradition, the thrones of certain high lamas are placed prominently in the monastery to signify the high importance of those lamas who are held in especially high esteem to the Ganden lineage.
Accordingly, in the prayer hall of Ganden Shartse and the combined prayer hall of the two colleges Shartse and Jangtse, known as the Ganden Lachi, one would find the thrones of His Holiness the Dalai Lama - regarded as the "god-king" of the Tibetan people; the throne of Trijang Rinpoche - the undisputed master of virtually all Gelugpa lamas this century; and the throne of the 101st Ganden Tripa - the supreme spiritual head of the Ganden lineage.
THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE GANDEN TRIPA
So crucial was it to preserve the correct understanding of the Dharma to Je Tsongkhapa that his key teachings would only be passed on to the most qualified and trusted of his students and along with it, the supreme duty to keep the Gelugpa lineage pure - a position of great responsibility upon which the title, The Holder Of The Gelugpa Throne, or Ganden Tripa, was conferred. It became the practice that the Ganden Tripa, the highest seat within the Gelugpa lineage would be passed on, unbroken from the time of Je Tsongkhapa, to the most respected, qualified and revered of the Gelugpa lamas who are entrusted to preserve the sanctity of the Dharma. Past Ganden Tripas were legendary Dharma masters such as Duldzin Drakpa Gyaltsen (who declined the honor); Gyaltsab Je and Khedrub Je - the heart sons of Tsongkhapa; and Panchen Sonam Drakpa whose works are still being used as text
While it is not surprising per se to find the throne of the Ganden Tripa in the prayer halls of Ganden monastery, there is one anomaly in this case that must not be allowed to escape examination, for it goes to the heart of one of the most absurd, if not severe, controversies to ever hit Tibetan Buddhism - the Dorje Shugden ban. Dorje Shugden, long recognized as the emanation of the Wisdom Buddha, is a Dharma protector of the Gelugpa and has been propitiated by the highest masters of the lineage such as H.H. Pabongka Rinpoche, H.H. Trijang Rinpoche and H.H. Zong Rinpoche. And yet, quite out of the blue, the Dalai Lama with the support of the Tibetan government in exile (the CTA) began to restrict the practice leading to a government decree in 2008 that literally outlawed the deity and the practice claiming that Dorje Shugden was a demon, the worship of whom harms the Tibetan cause for freedom and the life of the Dalai Lama.
Many Tibetan lives were devastated and without preparation the Tibetan community turned upon itself, as monks who refused to break their vows made to their teachers and swear against Dorje Shugden were expelled without ceremony. Overnight, an ancient Tibetan deity was an outlaw as was its practitioners.
And here is the incongruity - the Ganden Tripa's throne that is still seen in the prayer halls of Ganden monastery today, set up in the same location as the throne of H.H. Trijang Rinpoche and H.H. the Dalai Lama, belong to H.H. Lungrik Namgyal, the 101st Ganden Tripa of the Gelugpa lineage, who is A KNOWN DORJE SHUGDEN PRACTITIONER! As the Ganden Tripa at the time, H.H. Lungrik Namgyal did not sanction the Dorje Shugden ban, which means that it had no spiritual basis whatsoever to begin with. In addition, H.H. the 101st Ganden Tripa did not even participate in it nor did he return to the monastery to swear against Dorje Shugden as was required by all monks at the Gelugpa monasteries. That itself is a good indication of where the ban stood vis-`a-vis religious legitimacy, spiritual correctness and accuracy of the reasons given for the ban to be enforced.
The throne of H.H. the 101st Ganden Trisur Lungrik Namgyal Rinpoche beside the throne of H.H. Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche, in the Ganden Lachi
However, remaining true to his duty, he chose not to defy H.H. the Dalai Lama openly and continued to perform his duties and maintained office as the Ganden Tripa until his term was over in 2009.
After that, as the Ganden Trisur, H.H. Lungrik Namgyal made the daring decision to move to Shar Ganden in order to practice Dorje Shugden openly. The significance of this has to be stressed, which is that the supreme spiritual head of the Ganden lineage at the time when the ban was at its most intense, did not agree with it. And till this day H.H. the Ganden Trisur Lungrik Namgyal sees Dorje Shugden as nothing less than an enlightened emanation of Manjushri.
If anything, H.H. the 101st Ganden Trisur Lungrik Namgyal represents the highest objection to the Dorje Shugden ban. So, why does Ganden Monastery continue to venerate him by keeping his throne in the prayer halls together with the thrones of the Dalai Lama and Trijang Rinpoche? Why was H.H. the 101st Ganden Trisur never rebuked by the Dalai Lama and the CTA for his practice of Dorje Shugden, as they did all other practitioners? Why hasn't H.H. the Ganden Trisur's throne been removed from the holy prayer halls of Tsongkhapa's own monastic university if indeed Dorje Shugden was a demon?
COWARDICE OR GUILE
There can only be two plausible answers to this question:
(I) The anti-Shugden establishment dares not remove H.H. the 101st Ganden Tripa's throne. The Ganden Tripa seat is awarded based on meritocracy with the final endorsement by the Dalai Lama, after an extremely vigorous process of selection. This entails years of intensive training and proven success in other high ranking positions such as having been umzes (chant masters), disciplinarians and abbots of one of the tantric colleges. This system, which is based on a monk's academic accomplishment, tenacity in Dharma learning, teaching and practice, and service to the monasteries, ensures that only the best of scholars and practitioners can ascend as the Ganden Tripa. Once enthroned, there is no doubt that the Ganden Tripa is the supreme spiritual authority of the Gelugpa lineage.
To remove the throne would be to say that the entire process of identifying the supreme spiritual head of the lineage, approved by the Dalai Lama, failed so miserably that it had in fact selected into its highest office, a demon worshipper. So, if they failed at this event, where else have they failed? What other "wrong" Ganden Tripas have been elected in the past, especially given the fact that some Dalai Lamas such as the Third Dalai Lama, had as his teacher, a Ganden Tripa and in the case of the Third Dalai Lama, the illustrious Panchen Sonam Drakpa, who incidentally was a past incarnation of Dorje Shugden! And if Panchen Sonam Drakpa too was the "wrong" Ganden Tripa, what does that say about the Third Dalai Lama who studied under him? And what is the effect of that on the line of subsequent Dalai Lamas? How about the fact that H.H. Trijang Rinpoche, the junior tutor to H.H. the 14th Dalai Lama was also recognized as the incarnation of three previous Ganden Tripas; the eighth, the sixty-ninth and the eighty-fifth Ganden Tripas. If H.H. Trijang Rinpoche was wrong to practice Dorje Shugden, what does that say about his tutorship to H.H. the Dalai Lama?
OR
(II) The Dalai Lama knew from the beginning that H.H. Lungrik Namgyal was not wrong to propitiate Dorje Shugden as an enlightened Protector of the Dharma, and as the holy incarnation of Tulku Drakpa Gyaltsen, an emanation of Manjushri.
So while the Dalai Lama created a controversy for the name of the Protector to spread and a cause for the government of the rising giant, China to propagate the practice in defiance of the Dalai Lama himself, the Dalai Lama also made the decision to retain the throne in Ganden monastery's prayer halls so as to stir the people into thinking deeper about the inconsistencies of the ban. After all, how could the supreme spiritual head of the lineage, the living representative of Je Tsongkhapa be wrong, especially given the fact that H.H. Lungrik Namgyal was enthroned by the Dalai Lama himself!
The Dalai Lama has on numerous occasions echoed the advice of the Buddha, which is not to simply listen and believe all that we hear, but to check everything against reason and logic. And have not the reasons offered for the ban been totally bizarre? The thrones of the 101st Ganden Tripa, a Dorje Shugden practitioner, remains in the prayer halls of Ganden Lachi and Ganden Shartse, as the ultimate invitation for all practitioners to look behind the veil of absurdity and find the truth about Dorje Shugden, the Protector whom the Dalai Lama himself propitiated and the same deity whom H.H. Trijang Choktrul Rinpoche is practicing today, with the blessings of the Dalai Lama.
H.H. the Dalai Lama and H.H. Ganden Trisur Rinpoche
Either way, the Dorje Shugden ban has been proven to be constructed not on any solid basis but on illusion. Today, H.H. Lungrik Namgyal lives a simple life in Paris when he is not busy travelling the world to transmit the Buddha's teachings. H.H. the 101st Ganden Trisur is still regarded as one of the most qualified Buddhist teachers alive today who has committed his entire life to the propagation of the Buddhadharma, with the support of the Uncommon Protector of our time, Dorje Shugden. Therefore, the very presence of his throne in the exclusive Ganden monastery prayer halls gives a very clear message - that H.H. 101st Ganden Trisur is NOT a demon worshipper, simply because Dorje Shugden is NOT a demon.
