Venus The Bringer Of Peace

Venus The Bringer Of Peace
Yesterday on the radio I heard Gustav Holst's "Venus, the Bringer of Peace," one of the movements from "The Planets", and I wondered about the source of the epithet. The Wikipedia article on "The Planets" asserts (footnote omitted):Holst also used Alan Leo's book "What is a Horoscope?" as a springboard for his own ideas, as well as for the subtitles (i.e., "The Bringer of...") for the movements. But when I look in Alan Leo's "What is a Horoscope and How is it Cast?" on Google Book Search, and when I use the "Search Inside This Book" feature at amazon.com, I don't find the word "bringer" anywhere. Neither does the word "peace" appear in the book.

Alan Leo, by the way, is an apt name for an astrologer, as Leo is one of signs of the Zodiac.

I don't see in Liddell-Scott-Jones. In Latin, according to Lewis and Short, "pacifer" is "a frequent epithet of the gods," but Venus doesn't appear among the gods listed.

As goddess of love, Venus probably brings strife as often as she brings peace. One way she does bring peace, however, is to keep Mars, the Bringer of War, distracted. See, for example, the prayer to Venus at Lucretius 1.29-40 (tr. C.H. Sisson):Bring it about meanwhile that military ferocity

On land and sea everywhere falls fast asleep.

It is only you can bring men peace and quiet

For Mars is the one who manages these affairs

And often he throws himself on your belly,

Conquered in turn because desire has wounded him.

He lies there with his handsome neck thrown back,

Gaping at you and feeding on your looks,

His breath hangs on your lips as he falls back.

As he lies there on top of your holy body

Allow your lips to speak gently to him, Goddess.

Ask him, lady, to give the Romans peace.

effice ut interea fera moenera militiai

per maria ac terras omnis sopita quiescant;

nam tu sola potes tranquilla pace iuvare

mortalis, quoniam belli fera moenera Mavors

armipotens regit, in gremium qui saepe tuum se

reiicit aeterno devictus vulnere amoris,

atque ita suspiciens tereti cervice reposta

pascit amore avidos inhians in te, dea, visus

eque tuo pendet resupini spiritus ore.

hunc tu, diva, tuo recubantem corpore sancto

Rule Of Three Threefold Law

Rule Of Three Threefold Law
"What ye send forth comes back to thee, so ever mind the rule of three!"

No one likes the idea of Pagans and Wiccans running around flinging curses and hexes willy-nilly, so the Law of Three (Threefold Law, Law of Return, Rule of Three, etc.) is actually quite effective in making people stop and think before they act. Quite simply, it's the concept of cause and effect. When crafting a spell, any competent Wiccan or Pagan is going to stop and think about the end results of the working. If the possible ramifications of one's actions will likely be negative, that may make us stop to say, "Hey, maybe I better rethink this a bit."

Although the Law of Three sounds prohibitive, many Wiccans see it instead as a useful standard to live by. It allows one to set boundaries for oneself by saying, "Am I prepared to accept the consequences - be they good or bad - for my deeds, both magical and mundane?"

It states that both the good and the evil that one creates in the world will be returned threefold (in joy or suffering). This is like the thought of karma: whatever you do, it comes back to you. If you do something bad, itll come back three times as much. If you do something good, then itll come back three times as much.

The Wiccan Rede and the Rule of Three are both very similar to the popular "Golden Rule": Treat others how you want to be treated. All have the same general meaning, stating that you should think before doing things. Everything has a cause and effect, a consequence whether good or bad.

"Ever mind the Rule of Three, three times what thou givest returns to thee, this lesson well, thou must learn, thee only gets what thou dost earn." is similar version.

"Mind the Threefold Law ye should - three times bad and three times good." is another.

Dungeons And Animals

Dungeons And Animals
Experienced D&D players soon learn that when looking for extra muscle for their low-level adventuring party they can either hire a human retainer of 0 or 1st level and give them a share of the loot... or they can just bring some sort of fighting animal along with them. They're usually a bit more to buy, but they don't take a share of the treasure and their usually MUCH tougher than the local farm hand you bought a spear for.

However, after hearing about the animals people have their characters bring on dungeon expeditions I took a look at the list of things you could purchase to bring with you and one thing seemed to come up again and again: these things are tough... and they're really unpredictable. A lot of them specifically say they have a tendency to freak out and attack their owners. Here's the creatures from B/X and AD&D MM1 that an adventurer might choose to bring with them:Giant Ferret: AC 5, HD 1+1, Mv 150' (50'), Dmg d8

This 3-foot long weasel has a highly unpredictable temper, and they have been known to attack their trainers and other humans. That's only twice as big as a regular Ferret, so you could easily carry them or even have them sit on your shoulders. Good AC and excellent damage. That "unpredictable temper" and "attack their trainers" bit sounds dodgy though.Horse: AC 7, HD 2 or 3, Mv 240' (80'), 120' (40'), 90' (30'), Dmg d4, d6, none (25-300gp) Camel: AC 7, HD 2, Mv 150' (50'), Dmg d4, Ml 7

Camels are ill-tempered beasts, prone to biting and kicking any creature that gets in their way, including their masters. Mule: AC 7, HD 2, Mv 120' (40'), Dmg d4

Mules are stubborn, and if bothered or excited they may either bite or kick.

Camels and Mules seem to like the "attack my owner" thing a bit. Not sure you want them around when things go crazy.Hawk: AC 8, HD 1/2, Mv 480' (160'), Dmg d2, Ml 7

Giant Hawk: AC 6, HD 3+3, Mv 450' (150'), Dmg d6, Ml 8

Both types of hawks can be trained as guards or pets by an animal trainer. The AD Dmg 2d4

Wild Dog: AC 7, HD 1+1, Mv 150' (50'); Dmg d4The PHB lists: Guard Dog (25gp) and Hunting Dog (17gp). I think that has more to do with how trained they are than how tough they are... but either way a 2+2 HD monster for 25gp is a much better deal than a retainer. Then again my dog is barking and whining *right now* as I type this, and I can only imagine the insanity if you took one into a dungeon setting. Hark, hark the dogs do bark!Wolf: AC 7, HD 2+2, Mv 180' (60'), Dmg d6

Captured wolf cubs can be trained like dogs, but it is difficult. Dire Wolf: AC 6, HD 4+1, Mv 150' (50'), Dmg 2d4

Captured dire wolf cubs can be trained like dogs, but they are even more savage than normal wolves. They are sometimes trained by goblins to be used as mounts.Wolves don't bark! And if you can find a Dire Wolf cub you can train it like a dog. If you're a Dwarf you can ride around on it and everything. Except we're back to "difficult to train" and "savage". Hope you don't get hurt in the dungeon and the wolves decide they're going to challenge you to be head of the pack...Boar: AC 7, HD 3, Mv 150' (50'), Dmg 2d4

They are omnivorous (eating almost anything), and have extremely nasty tempers when disturbed. Some farmers raise boars. And some farmers take pigs out in the woods to find truffles. So some adventurers think they'll bring boars with them into dungeons. If any animal on this list is going to freak out and try to eat you... this has got to be it.Elephant: AC 6, HD 11, Mv 150' (50'), Dmg 2d8

They can be trained to carry equipment and or men.Whoa! They're not fitting into a dungeon, but at HD 11 they're really pretty bad ass.

Now we get into Monsters that say they can be trained. These are probably not available unless the DM introduces them into the game somehow.Blink Dog: AC 5, HD 4, Mv 120' (40'); Dmg d6

Young are worth 1,000gp to 2,000gp as they can be tamed and trained.Better AC and HD than a regular dog. I imagine a blinking dog would be yappy... but maybe that's just me.Pegasus: AC 6, HD 2+2, Mv 240' (80') / 480' (160'), Dmg d6, Ml 8

They cannot be tamed, but will serve Lawful characters (only) if captured when young and trained.

5,000You won't get one unless your DM is of the Monty Haul persuasion...Giant Owl: AC 6, HD 4, Mv 30' (10') / 180' (60'), Dmg 2d4

2,000 gp Giant Eagle: AC 7, HD 4, Mv 30' (10') / 480' (160'), Dmg 2d6

They can be tamed. 500-800 gpThese are pretty tough monsters if you can afford them. They won't try and eat you the first time you get a nose bleed.Griffon: AC5, HD 7, Mv 120' (40') / 360' (120'), Dmg 2d8, Ml 8

If captured young, they can be tamed to become fierce, loyal mounts. Tamed griffons are still likely to attack horses, however, and must pass a morale check when within 120' of horses a griffon or attack immediately.

Fledgling 5,000This is the only monster that includes rules for it freaking out. I think this is a good example of how to treat ALL the animals on the list. The need to make Morale Checks to see if they're run / attack / etc.Young Brass Dragon: AC 2, HD 6 (12hp), Mv 120' (40') / 240' (80'), Dmg 4d4, Ml 8

6,000 gpThis is the luxury sports car of dungeon animal companions. It's 500gp a hit point, and the more hit points the older it is. You want a good dragon (less likely to eat you while you sleep) and young enough that it won't cast spells and such. AC is excellent. HD is good. Hit points are poor... but it can fly! And this model breaths sleep gas.

Anyway, that's all the animals I could find in B/X and AD&D that players could conceivably bring into a dungeon. I will definitely be using the morale rule for any animal, particularly ones that mention they're likely to freak out and attack their owners... :)

Hex Signs

Hex Signs
Inspired by my friend Ryan and his blog A Changing Altar, I've decided to join the Pagan Blog Project. I anticipate posting every two weeks, so only once per letter of the alphabet. This Friday, the letter is H.

I think when many people hear the word "hex" they immediately thing of "curse". However, when used to refer to a type of folk art traditionally painted on barns and homes, hex takes on an entirely different meaning.

"Hex signs" originate in Pennsylvania Dutch country and can be used magically or simply appreciated for their artistic beauty. Indeed, many historians and folklorists believe that the designs were originally nothing more than folk art brought over from Germany, but which later developed into a form of ethnic symbolism. These days, many hex signs are associated with specific intents and carry quite a bit of magical power with them. But some are still just art. It's all in the intent, after all.

The term "hex sign" was probably picked up because of its sexiness. In a book published in 1924 about the Pennsylvania Dutch, many terms were used by local farmers to refer to the signs, including "blumme" (flowers) or "schtanne" (stars). However one farmer called them "Hexefoos" and that's what stuck.

There are a few classic designs for hex signs, many of which incorporate geometric shapes with symbols. Magically, the meaning of the hex is based on the shapes, colours and symbols used in its design. For example a six-pointed rosette chases away bad luck, an eight-pointed star invites good fortune and an eight-pointed star or "sun ray" with a circle at the center is a symbol for success. If you add rain drops and/or wheat to this design, the hex may mean a good weather for successful harvest, however if you add acorns to the design it may mean success with conception or with a new project.

Here are some traditional meanings for hex signs:

* Rosettes: Luck (or chasing away bad luck)
* Stars: Luck or success (or protection)
* 4-pointed sun wheel: Warmth and fertility
* Acorn: Fertility or "humble beginnings"
* Dove: Peace or friendship
* Heart: Love
* Oak leaf: Strength and endurance
* Raindrop: Good weather or abundance
* Tulips: Faith, hope and trust (or chastity)
* Wheat: Abundance, prosperity (abundant crops)

If you are creating your own hexes then I believe that you can use symbolism that is meaningful for you and that has some sort of universal or cultural associations around it. The same goes for colour and geometry. Like other forms of magic that involve creating something (such as a talisman), you will be drawing energy to the spell and starting to form it as you work out the design of your hex. While creating the design, really focus on the intent or purpose of the hex, including the specific symbols and how the symbolism will empower the hex. Afterwards, raise energy to give it more juice if you want to, but sometimes the simple act of purposeful and focused creation is enough.

Hexes can be drawn, painted, embroidered, knitted, carved, planted as a design in a garden, decorated into a cake, or made in any way that results in a visual symbol. It's a fun and powerful form of spellcraft.

Women Spirituality

Women Spirituality
The most recent issue of "Sagewoman" magazine (No. 75, 2008) has a new column by Z Budapest, one of the women who helped create the women's spirituality movement in the early 1970s. Writing of those days, she says (p. 67):

"We were creating our own religion, our own rituals, our own prayers and sacred dances. Our own holy days. Our own priestesses. Everything between birth and death was now in our domain. We were saying, in effect, "Move over old man god, your time is up. Take your desert-born religions with you. Take your woman hating-tenets, take your male rule over women and bury it. We are free now. We no longer believe in you. We don't care about your 'good Women's spirituality still has the wonderful headiness of that freedom and creativity. It's one of the things I loved most about this path when I first began to walk it 20 years ago. Today it's something I simply take for granted because it's ingrained in me. But this quotation reminded me of how exhilarating it was when I encountered that freedom and creativity for the first time. How different it felt to be the active author of my own spiritual beliefs and rituals, instead of being the passive recipient of teachings and rituals handed down from one generation to the next!

FIRST QUARTER

It's perfectly okay to work ritual on this part of the moon's cycle, but often it's better to use the special power of the first quarter to review work already in progress, or to gain insights into the way spells are unfolding. If you are lighting a spell candle daily, pause in the process of igniting the wick and tune in to know how the spell is forming. Does the energy feel right? Do any new factors occur to you that might improve the end result: for example, you may gain a sudden feeling about the way the goal should manifest, or some details may become clearer and would profit from added visualization. Another beneficial use for the first quarter is to quietly go within in contemplation or meditation and see what needs to be done when the full moon arrives, what magick might be appropriate then, or which areas of your life could benefit from focus and attention.

The moon's quarters are not widely used in magick and ritual, and yet they are valuable stations in the cycle when loose ends can be tied up and impetus gathered before entering the next stage.

[excerpts from: "Praise to the Moon" by Elen Hawke]

Today there are minor magickal energies for working rites and spells for warrior energy and courage.

During the waxing moon time in a lunar cycle the lunar power is constantly increasing and so this is an ideal time cast a spell requiring the fulfillment of a request. The waxing moon is for constructive magick, such as love, wealth, success, courage, friendship, luck or health.

Herbs Flowers And Resins For Incense

Herbs Flowers And Resins For Incense
Making your own incense to burn either in a heatproof dish or on a charcoal block is easy and in my opinion it is better then some shop brought incense the reason is you can empower it with your own power.

You can mix and match your flowers and herbs for exactly the powers you need for example if your making love incense you can use lavender for gentle love, bay leaves for faithfulness and maybe a sprinkle of saffron or ginger for passion. You can supplement partly or entirely with dried herbs and spices that you have in your kitchen and buy dried lavender heads, rose petals and chamomile flowers in old fashioned grocery stores, gift shops and some herbalists.

Picking and drying your herbs1. Pick herbs the day or days after the full moon and leave them to dry, you can remove stems after drying.

2. Collect and dry pine needles, cedar bark chippings and Juniper berries

3. Dry a bunch of herbs upside down in bundles indoors or out in a sheltered but well ventilated place that is not too cold. SImply pop a hook up and then hang your bundle of herbs upside down and allow them to dry.

4. You can also use slatted wooden racks and microwaves can be used in a hurry but micro dried herbs are not so fragrant. 5. In the summer or fine weather herbs dry very quickly they should be crumbly if pressed but still fragrant.

6. Keep dried herbs in labelled glass jars ~ old jam jars cleaned and dried are perfect keep the lid on when not using.

In Sky Captain And The World Of Tomorrow We Can See An Allegorical Prelude To Exactly What Is Now Coming
Virgo needs to be careful this month when it comes to their heart. The past is keeping one from moving on to a healthy start or relationship. Virgo will struggle to see the problem until the full Moon when things become more clear. The Virgo in a relationship should take this time to be figure out what they want most from their partner. If everything seems to be at a standstill, then it might be time to move forward. It is never a sin to want more independence in committed relationship, and the current star placement this month is an ideal time to explore that aspect.

The single Virgo needs to embrace past mistakes if there is any chance of making a connection this month. This is the only one can expect to make any headway when it comes to love. The dating Virgo should be open to the possibility of finding a new love. The current partner might have a wandering eye that can only be curbed with some friendly competition.

Masonic And Illuminati Symbolism

Masonic And Illuminati Symbolism At The Irs Headquarters In Maryland
SINISTER SITES: IRS HEADQUARTERS, MARYLAND

Nov 28th, 2012

"The IRS headquarters in New Carrollton, Maryland is a government building that, despite being constructed with public funds, contains art referring to elite secret societies. More importantly, the art conveys a strange message about the U.S. Constitution, and the American people in general. We'll look at the symbolic meaning of the art found in front of the IRS headquarters in Maryland."

The IRS is probably the most hated institution in America - mainly because its primary role is to force people to hand over their hard-earned cash. This modern equivalent of the proverbial tax collector indeed collects money from American workers and gives it to a government that will, in turn, use this money to send drones abroad or to build information superstructures to better monitor these same workers. What's not to like?

The IRS was originally created as a "temporary measure" during wartime (funny how the Canadian Revenue Agency was also supposed to be "temporary"), but there is nothing temporary about it now. In fact, the gigantic IRS complex in New Carrollton, Maryland was built in 1997 and is still growing today, indicating that this institution is indeed here to stay. This modern building has all of the state-of-the-art amenities one can think of, but it is the odd public art in front of it that is the most noteworthy. As is the case for many government buildings, the art displayed means absolutely nothing to most people, but to those who are versed in secret society symbolism, its implications are manifold and profound. In fact, fully understanding the origins and the meaning of the symbols in front of the IRS building means understanding who are truly in power in America (and around the world), what they believe in and what they truly think about us, the masses.

The IRS is not known to be a very artistic institution and likewise there is not much art present at its headquarters in Maryland. However, the few pieces that are on display manage to convey everything that needs to be known about the occult elite.

GENERAL LAYOUT

The entrance to the IRS headquarters is guarded by two black and white pillars made of the highest quality marble, topped with white hands. Between the two pillars is a dark pyramid with a metallic capstone on which is written "We the People". What does all of this represent? Here's an "official" description:

"The most striking elements are the huge, white marble hands atop each column. Each hand points skyward, one with the forefinger extended; the other is an open hand, the fingers ever so slightly cupped. "

"The 1997 work is called "Vox Populi," which is Latin for "the voice of the people." The hand with the raised index finger represents deliberation, argument, the gesticulation of a speaker giving his or her opinion. The hand with an open palm represents the act of voting or taking an oath."

- The Washington Post, "The Big Hands of the Law"That is all well and good, but what does "Vox Populi" have to do with the IRS? Can citizens weigh in or vote on anything about the IRS? Why are the pillars black and white? Why is there a pyramid with a capstone between them? As it is the case for most occult symbols, there's as basic (and unsatisfactory) interpretation given to the masses and a "real" meaning for those in the know. For those in the know, the art is a nod to the highest degrees of Freemasonry, the true source of power in America - not unlike what the Washington monument stands for.

The art in front of the IRS Headquarters features a pyramid with a capstone between two pillars. The black and white stripes refer to the Hermetic concept of duality.

This Masonic monument in Israel bears exactly the same elements: A pyramid with a capstone between two pillars. The stripes on the ground represent duality.

Let's look at each element of this (not so) public art.

TWIN PILLARS

The symbolism of the twin pillars is ancient and very meaningful as it refers to the core of hermetism, the basis of secret society teachings. In short, the pillars represent duality and the union of opposites:

"The right Tablet of the Law further signifies Jachin - the white pillar of light; the left Tablet, Boaz - the shadowy pillar of darkness. These were the names of the two pillars cast from brass set up on the porch of King Solomon's Temple. They were eighteen cubits in height and beautifully ornamented with wreaths of chainwork, nets, and pomegranates. On the top of each pillar was a large bowl - now erroneously called a ball or globe - one of the bowls probably containing fire and the other water. The celestial globe (originally the bowl of fire), surmounting the right-hand column (Jachin), symbolized the divine man; the terrestrial globe (the bowl of water), surmounting the left-hand column (Boaz), signified the earthly man. These two pillars respectively connote also the active and the passive expressions of Divine Energy, the sun and the moon, sulphur and salt, good and bad, light and darkness. Between them is the door leading into the House of God, and standing thus at the gates of Sanctuary they are a reminder that Jehovah is both an androgynous and an anthropomorphic deity. As two parallel columns they denote the zodiacal signs of Cancer and Capricorn, which were formerly placed in the chamber of initiation to represent birth and death - the extremes of physical life. They accordingly signify the summer and the winter solstices, now known to Freemasons under the comparatively modern appellation of the "two St. Johns."

"In the mysterious Sephirothic Tree of the Jews, these two pillars symbolize Mercy and Severity. Standing before the gate of King Solomon's Temple, these columns had the same symbolic import as the obelisks before the sanctuaries of Egypt. When interpreted Qabbalistically, the names of the two pillars mean "In strength shall My House be established. "In the splendor of mental and spiritual illumination, the High Priest stood between the pillars as a mute witness to the perfect virtue of equilibrium - that hypothetical point equidistant from all extremes. He thus personified the divine nature of man in the midst of his compound constitution - the mysterious Pythagorean Monad in the presence of the Duad. On one side towered the stupendous column of the intellect; on the other, the brazen pillar of the flesh. Midway between these two stands the glorified wise man, but he cannot reach this high estate without first suffering upon the cross made by joining these pillars together. The early Jews occasionally represented the two pillars, Jachin and Boaz, as the legs of Jehovah, thereby signifying to the modern philosopher that Wisdom and Love, in their most exalted sense, support the whole order of creation - both mundane and supermundane."

- Manly P. Hall, The Secret Teachings of All AgesThe same way Masonic pillars guard the entrance of Masonic temples, two pillars guard the entrance of the IRS building.

Masonic art depicting the twin pillars named Jachin and Boaz guarding the entrance of a Masonic temple.

While not all pillars are necessarily Masonic, those in front of the IRS building contain other features that leave no doubt regarding their secret society connection.

The IRS pillars feature exactly 13 black and white stripes and a very significant hand sign.

Sharply contrasting with the rest of the building, the pillars are stripped in black and white, a pattern evoking duality, a concept that is visually represented on the Masonic mosaic pavement.

Probably the most important feature in Masonic lodges, the black and white checkerboard pattern is meant to be a visual representation of the concept of duality. Variations of this pattern do exist.

To make things even more explicitly Masonic (for those in the know) each pillar is comprised of exactly 13 stripes, a number that is of the utmost importance in Masonic lore (research the omnipresence of the number 13 on the American dollar bill). Considering the constant attention to occult numerology in Masonic art, this fact alone should be very telling.

Above each pillar are white marble hands. It is interesting to know that formal Masonic attire requires white gloves. One of the hands points upwards, towards the sky. While the official meaning claims that it refers to the act of public discussion and discourse, this hand sign, place in the esoteric context of the artwork, takes on a much more ancient and mystical meaning.

Named the "hand to god", the "sign of Preservation" or the "hand of the Mysteries", the sign of the hand pointing upwards can be found in many works of art that bear an esoteric meaning. It appears to be always associated with figures that are seen to possess "knowledge from the gods".

The classic depiction of Hermes always depicts him pointing towards the heavens. Known as the "messenger of God", Hermes is a central figure in Masonic lore. He is considered to be the teacher of theurgic sciences, therefore helping humanity ascend towards godhood (the word Hermetism derives from Hermes).

"Plato, an initiate of one of these sacred orders, was severely criticized because in his writings he revealed to the public many of the secret philosophic principles of the Mysteries." - Manly P. Hall. In this classic depiction of Plato by Raphael, he is pointing upwards - probably because he "initiated" the world to some of the secret teachings of Mystery schools.

This Masonic item for sale at 1stdibs.com features the same hand sign as found in front of the IRS building.

In the context of esoteric teachings, a human pointing towards God can represent the ultimate goal of the Mysteries: Ascending from the state of mere mortal to achieve godhood.

The hand above the other pillar does not point towards the sky, but is rather opened. While pointing towards somewhere means moving into that direction, an opened palm is traditionally associated with "stop" or "halt". In Masonic symbolism, the twin pillars are often topped with contrasting symbols (the sun and the moon or globes representing earth and heavens). Could the white hands above the pillars represent the same opposite notions of godhood (pointing towards god) and earthly materiality (halt sign)?

On these Masonic pillars are etched various quotes regarding the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Some of them are quite odd in the context of today, such this one by Barbara Jordan:

"The Bill of Rights was not ordained by Nature or God. It's very human, very fragile." Hmmm, that's... unsettling.

Considering the fact that a bunch of laws blatantly violating the Bill of Rights (notably the First and Fourth Amendment) were enacted shortly after this building was erected, one can ask if this quote wasn't some kind of a warning. As we see new police-state-style laws violating privacy, free speech and encouraging oppression, we can definitely conclude that the elite views the Bill of Rights as something "very human, very fragile" that can easily be violated. While the above quote can be interpreted as a reminder to not take the Bill of Rights for granted, in the context of its location, it conveys an unsettling message about how it can easily be tampered with... and even disappear. Think I'm going too far? Check out this next piece.

THE PYRAMID

Between the two pillars is the most recognizable symbol representing the occult elite: A pyramid with a shiny capstone. On the pyramid is written the US Constitution, which famously starts with "We the People". Looking closer at this sculptures, several questions come to mind.

First, why is the U.S. Constitution etched on a symbol that is associated with occult secret societies whose highest degrees are restricted to "elite men"? Isn't there a contradiction here? Second, it is somewhat clear that the charcoal-colored base of the pyramid represents the masses (it is written "We the People" right on it), while the shiny, illuminated capstone represents the "illuminated" elite. Isn't this... elitist? Does the capstone that is standing above the pyramid and the U.S. Constitution mean that the elite is above the law? Finally, WHY ISN'T THE BILL OF RIGHTS ON THE PYRAMID? Is it because it is "very human, very fragile"? Is it considered outdated by the NWO elite? As it is the case for many Sinister Sites described on Vigilant Citizen, this barely noticeable artwork contains an infinitely of dark implications.

IN CONCLUSION

In this edition of Sinister Sites, we looked at a relatively small amount of items that nonetheless conveyed a massive amount of symbolism. Far from being merely decorative, the art in front of the IRS building in Maryland describes in a symbolic matter the true source of power behind the American (and world) government, its spiritual and political philosophy, its perception of the masses and so forth. But while the symbolism is unmistakably Masonic, your local front-porch Freemasons have nothing to do with the occult elite. Those in power are part of the highest, hidden levels of the order - what we like to call the Illuminati.

While the IRS doesn't shy away from collecting money from every single American worker in the United States, the occult symbols in front of its headquarters is not definitely not meant for every single American worker. It is meant to be understood by a very few "select" ones - the same way real power is owned by a very few "select" ones. Why are there symbols associated with secretive and elite groups displayed on buildings that are supposedly public? Isn't this a contradiction?

While some might say that the true, mystical meaning behind these symbols is not inherently evil, the real upsetting part is that those "in the capstone" are clearly telling us that those at the base of the pyramid are not meant to understand these things. They are meant to be distracted and controlled in order to fund the elite while not causing too much damage... and that's about it. And the IRS is part of the equation.

Contrarily to the "official" meaning of the pointing hand, no citizen has a say on the policies of these institution or even what they display in front of their building. It is rather those in the capstone that dictate what will happening to "We the People"... even if it means making the Bill of Rights disappear. As the official IRS motto goes:" Service plus Enforcement equals Compliance". In short, maybe the finger that is pointing upwards should be the middle one.

Discovering The Essence Of Meditation And Psychic Energy

Discovering The Essence Of Meditation And Psychic Energy

By Al Perhacs

Life itself is mysterious. Humans try their very best to unleash the wonders that envelop life and the existence of a myriad of phenomena. However, the explanations cannot be granted by the human mind alone or by science itself.

This endeavor further asks for a more profound way of dissecting through an investigatory procedure. Hence, the term MetaScience is introduced which utilizes the human aura to guide both metaphysics and science in forming a new relationship to explain some mysteries of life. Among the other techniques which have been recently integrated into the area of scientific investigation are precognition, telepathy, auras, and ESP. At any rate, psychic energy has amazed geniuses of both the ancient and the modern times but it takes the combined wisdom of humans to unearth the series of secrets that it keeps.

Connecting the Past and the Present

Back in the ancient times, the medical practitioners were the seers and shamans. One needed to be clairvoyant to qualify to study the primordial wisdom teachings. In these modern times, the human energy is explained to us by the magnetic resonance imaging systems and other technologically created tools. Aura is by and large examined through the use of a photography biofeedback monitor and the so-called Kirlian energy transfer printing.

There is no doubt that the ancient explanation of what constitutes the human energy will continually be revised and revolutionized based on the primeval concepts. With the ongoing research on auras, it requires that scientists become open-minded so that they may find the connection between the ancient wisdom and that of advance technology to discover what lies within the human psychic energy.

Conventionally, the word psychic is greatly associated to those individuals who are able to convey energy or any type of information without the use of any sort of physical process. The energy that is derived from them can either be self-induced or a natural gift. In the recent years, meditation, dreaming, and hypnosis have been unearthed as ways that allow a person to transmit the said energy. But then again, there are some tricky individuals who use this energy to take advantage of others which should never be the case.

Integrating Positivity into One's Life

A positive energy is needed to make your life better. It is only likely to happen when you keep a positive outlook with regards to yourself, the situation that you are in, and the relationships that you have. Reality is said to be the manifestation of our actions, thoughts, and beliefs. If you incorporate a positive feeling and action in your day to day activities, there is a high chance of eliminating the negative vibrations.

Life caters to a domino effect. If you think black, you will get black. Yet if you think the other way around, you will reap what constitutes your thoughts. Better understand it this way. The more positive psychic energy you incorporate into your life, the more optimistic rewards you will be endowed with. Such is only possible as you dwell into a deeper form of meditation. Henceforth, believe in the power of energy.
