For practitioners of Chaos Magick, sigilization or the making of sigils is extremely popular. Chaos Magick is very individualistic and one of it's cofounders is very skeptical of gurus and hierarchical groups which tend to weigh I favor of the group against the individual. One can listen to the advice and teaching of a guru or teacher but ultimately one must do the experimentation and decide what works for them, Beliefs are subject to constant change and can be manipulated to fit the individuals need. One must be flexible with one's beliefs and be prepared to adopt a belief when it is needed.
There are two types of magick. One magick gets you inside of your head and the other magick gets you outside of your head. Sensory deprivation or anything that inhibits the body tends to get you inside of your head.. Those physical exercise that exite the body tend to get you outside of your head.
The magickian should experiment with different techniques. Keep and practice only ones that are useful. Practice and perfect those techniques so they come out right during the rituals.. Magickain should start regimens that are both strict and pleasurable. Keep a written journal to balance what was achieved and what needs to be achieved.
Nothing is new in magick only the same old idea rearranged. The same process that drives out neurosis is also the one that drives us to excel. Man is lazy and it causes him to look for easy ways to do things. Once something is done enough habitually it is easier and requires less thought. Habit reduces the amount of concentration needed to do something. This frees the mind to do other things. People prefer laziness over living up to their potential. The wizards strives to reach his potential.
Magickians must constantly battle laziness. It is a battle to overcome the sensorship mechanism that holds us back. The magickian should explain to himself vigourously the rational behind every action her/her makes. Some of the reasons include:
1. Necessity: health welfare and development
2..Habit: Something some one does out of rote. Eventually you phase out habit.
3. Appetite: Eating,drinking, sex
4. Fear: Something we do to avoid consequences
5. Laziness
6. Lack of Confidence: Not being good enough
7. Time killer: Something to waste extra moments between events
Our demons are those blindspots or negative traits and feelings about ourselves. Our job is to banish our own demons that personify our negative traits. Negative thoughts trap the magickian and stunt personal growth. It keeps the magickian at his present level of performance. Belief can be changed at will. This is done in a temple during evocations.
Demons strive to keep us fro reaching our potential. We must write our own grimoire on how to banish our own demons.A magical record shows us as we really are. Glory is in the attempt and failure is a day unrecorded. The oath is a statement of the magicians need, intention and motives which is tempered by strategy. Daily regimens should be based on ones social factors like ability and income. The magickal retirement should last 7 days. It should utilize times wisely and destroy your inner demon. During this retreat Magicians should have a schedule one that includes taking care of bodily needs, writing, physical exercise, concentration of chosen power and pranayma. At the end of the retirement the magician should reassess himself. Magic is practices by the few and is secluded. The popularity of magic means an abundance of material this enable one to choose what is good for themselves. Dianetics is good for eliminating aberrations.
The analytic mind functions to record and store data. In times of great stress the analytic mind shuts down and the reactive mind pops up. It records the alarming detail. The informations is stored in traces called engrams. When the analytic mind is restored the engrams are stores in the subconscious and they have power.
Magick deals with emotions. Rituals deal with the unconscious. Gnostic techniques get you to the unconscious. These is no magick without gnosis Accidental sigils are negative engrams that become activated in the reactive mind. For example a car accident with negative associations is stores in the reactive mind later on the associations brin headaches. In the temple when positive sigils are made the mind stores engrams in a positive way.
When making sigils or engaging in magical operations There should be no debate as to whether something is good or bad. Such thinking will cause the magician to suffer. An old idea of alignments to planets and such is pertinent in so far as they are pertinent to the magician. To make a Sigil the magician must first acknowledge a desire. Then he list symbols ad arranges them into a glyph. Then using Gnosis he reifies the sigil and casts it into his unconscious. The reactive mind never rests. It is working constantly and we must listen to it. The proper state of mind for sigilzation comes from a detachment of desire.
Sigil Practice should be done often and with low grade goals that are not too important. this helps top achieve the desired detachment from the desire for the goal. Colors used in a Sigil for strength would normally use red and orange. These colors corespond to Geburah and Mars. Yet these colors might not have meaning for the user. For them blue might equal strength. So blue would be a better color to use. When disigning your sigil you can use colors that flash. You can further bombard the senses with a mantra. For example "my desire is to be as keen as a hawk".
you would then permute this to "myd esir ai to thaw". Later is permuted to "mizir is kenai otaw" Spinning matras are made from foreign languages. Two people attend rotating on the different lines. Other sense can also be used to assault the consious mind.
Rituals begin and end with a banishing. The magical action is contained with in the two banishings. No thought goes beyond the ritual. One can devise ones own banishing ritual or use the Golden Dawn system. Magickian should feel free to adapt they should be open to impressions from the void. Shamans often times went to the void. You must be able to use formless energy to change the formed universe.
To change your reality you can make a sigil here is the Ritual
1. Temple has empty altar facing north.
2. Candle lit, incense burning, burning bowl for sigil
3.start your music
4. face altar meditate on Sigil
5.Caltrop Banishing Ritual
6. Pause
7. Chant Mantra
8.Whirl to music and mantra and keep sigil in mind
9.Stop whirling
10. burn the sigil
11. Reverse Caltrop
7.Enjoy the blog

Winter solstice is almost gone as is the shortest day of the year. Now hope for longer days of sunlight and warmer weather takes the front position.
"It's all, I think, in our genes. It's fundamentally embedded," Hufnagel said. "It helps to understand our state of mind and why we feel the way we feel at the holidays - to understand there is a connection to the universe and a reason why we feel relieved and happy and want to celebrate."
I don't get it. Why is there this need to be "one with the universe" or nature.
"Time to celebrate the winter solstice"
For some, shift to gradually longer days a reason to celebrate
by
Pamela Wood
December 21st, 2009
Capital Gazette Communications, Inc.
Move over, Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and even New Year's Eve.
Those celebrations are just the new kids on the block, at least compared to the winter solstice.
Today, the Northern Hemisphere will mark the winter solstice, the shortest day (and longest night) of the year, meaning that the amount of daylight will gradually increase as spring approaches.
Though the solstice has been marked with rituals since ancient times, it may go unnoticed by many in these hectic days leading up to Christmas and the end of the calendar year. Some, however, will celebrate the day with bonfires, meditation and even nature walks.
While the thought that today is indeed the longest night of the year may be depressing, others find it a sign of hope and change worth celebrating.
That sign of hope is one reason why religions throughout the ages have placed holidays around the winter solstice, said Beth Hufnagel, an Anne Arundel Community College astronomy professor.
"It's all, I think, in our genes. It's fundamentally embedded," Hufnagel said. "It helps to understand our state of mind and why we feel the way we feel at the holidays - to understand there is a connection to the universe and a reason why we feel relieved and happy and want to celebrate. It's only natural any religion would want to tie into this."
It's no coincidence that our calendar's new year is close to the solstice, too.
"Doesn't it seem natural to have a new year when the sun is coming back to us - a rebirth?" Hufnagel said.
For Hufnagel and other astronomers - both pros and amateurs - the winter solstice has an added benefit: It offers the most stargazing time.
While the solstice is "not an exciting thing to look at" in the realm of astronomy, it is an important point in the annual cycle of the Earth's motion in relation to the sun, Hufnagel said.
The Earth always tilts toward the North Star, and in winter the Northern Hemisphere is tilted slightly away from the sun, bringing us winter while the Southern Hemisphere has summer.
The return of the sun and the start of a new year will be the focus of a spiritual ceremony planned for tonight by Inspired Events of Maryland, an Odenton-based group that serves as a network for alternative spiritual and healing practitioners.
A main candle will be lit, and then participants will be invited to come forward to light more candles and share their hopes for the new year, said Mary Perry, manager of Inspired Events.
The candle-lighting will be followed by a period of meditation, then a potluck dinner.
This is the first winter solstice celebration for Inspired Events. "On the solstice, we want to welcome in the sun... It is a time of celebration. It is the longest night of the year and from here on, the sun comes back into our lives," Perry said.
Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary on the Patuxent River in south county has been holding special nature hikes on or around the winter and summer solstices and the vernal and autumnal equinoxes for several years.
"We're very aware of the natural cycles of the year. We like to mark these," said Elaine Friebele, education director for Jug Bay.
While the winter solstice hike is a standard nature walk, the timing makes it special.
"It's to get out and enjoy nature, even in the sort-of-dormant time," she said. "We usually end on the deck overlooking the river with the sunset. It's a nice way to be out and acknowledge that the year is changing."

Eph. 1:1-6 * Luke 14:1-11The Pharisees in today's Gospel reading were full of malice because of their pride. Here was a man, a carpenter by trade, whose formal education was simply that of any Jewish man; far better on average than that of the Gentiles if only because Jews have always aimed at 100 percent literacy. All of their people (men and women) could read at least their prayers and the Psalms. But, Jesus had not sat at the feet of any of the notable Rabbis of their time, such as Gamaliel, who was in his own day the equivalent of a highly reputable Professor of Theology in our time. Nonetheless, Jesus the carpenter spoke with authority that the Pharisees could not even so much as imitate; and beyond that, his word was with power. His word drove out demons, healed those with diseases and afflictions of all sorts, and on at least three occasions brought dead people back to life. He did not need the Pharisees, and he did not seek either their guidance or their permission to teach and to heal.
On this day, the Pharisees were threatened by a man who wanted to be healed on the Sabbath; for if Jesus were to grant such a request he would openly contradict their teaching just by doing the healing. He would not have to "say" anything. As if that was not bad enough, Jesus silenced them in front of everybody by uttering a simple "one liner" hypothetical question: "Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a pit, and will not straightway pull him out on the sabbath day?" St Luke goes on to tell us, "And they could not answer him again to these things." Simply by having the power to heal, and by using that power, Jesus won the argument. We know from Mark's Gospel that it was at this point that some of these same Pharisees either joined the effort, or maybe even started the effort, to have Jesus put to death. Matthew tells us that when the time finally came when Jesus was tried by Pilate, that the Roman Governor knew that not only the Pharisees, but also the chief priests and Sadducees, wanted Jesus dead "because of their envy "(Matt. 27:18).
But on this particular day, by demonstrating his divine power to heal, Jesus won the argument twice over. For, already he had spoken with wisdom beyond the reach of his foes; and then he acted with power they could never match. But, the Lord really had no concern with something as trivial as winning arguments. Possessing all wisdom, a mere show of cleverness would have been quite beneath him. His motivation had no room for anything petty, or self-seeking. First of all, he had compassion on the man who suffered, and on all who needed to see the grace and love of God demonstrated by an act of mercy. For every healing Jesus ever did signified something far more important for all of us than simple physical healing in this transitory life. Every healing proved that God does not deal with us as our sins deserve; every healing pointed to something greater and far more permanent: Every healing pointed to the forgiveness of sin, which is of eternal value.
Jesus was quite willing to trample on the sinful pride of fallen man, sparing no one's delicate ego when people's knowledge of the truth was at stake. But, this not about truth in some academic sense. It was about something infinitely more important than who was correct. It says in the eighth chapter of the Gospel of John, "Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (31,32)." What truth is that? Is it a perfect grasp of History, of Mathematics or of Science? Is it even truth about various peripheral and speculative areas of theology, or of liturgy, or of Biblical Literacy? As important as these academic subjects are, we need to know the truth that is deeper than any of them. Indeed, if someone knows the facts and details of the Bible, and yet cannot know the Word who is present, Himself, throughout all of it, he does not really know the Bible at all.
Jesus Himself is the Truth, as he said: "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." As the Truth he is also the only Path to the Father, and the only Life that overcomes death. This knowledge of the Truth, of Jesus Christ the Word who is eternally with the Father and the Holy Spirit, and who has been made flesh and dwelt among us, gives us knowledge of all truth. When we understand the truth as it is revealed fully in Jesus Christ, we know the truth about ourselves, and first of all, that we sinners utterly in need of his salvation from sin and death. We begin by knowing we are lost, and we need him to take us home; that we are blind and need him to open our eyes to see; that we are deaf and need him to open our ears to hear. We need forgiveness of sin, but neither can we buy or earn it; the Healer must give us mercy just as he gave it to the man with the dropsy-the same mercy that does not deal with us as our sins deserve.
Jesus did not have tolerance or respect for the pride of the Pharisees, and he had no regard for their delicate egos that could not stand to be proved wrong. The only argument he wanted to win was that of light over darkness, of mercy over condemnation, of love over indifference. His argument was for truth on the very practical level of meeting real human need, the need of a man with dropsy and the need of sinners everywhere and always to know the truth and to be made free. So must our concern for truth be; not to be proved right as pride would have it; but to impart the life-giving knowledge of God's truth to a world in need, beginning with the need of your neighbor. To be correct academically, and to be lauded for it, is itself no better than trash. Christ-like desire to clarify the truth is practical; it is pastoral and evangelistic; it is motivated by love, which is of great worth in the eyes of God.
Every healing Jesus did not only demonstrated mercy, but the price of love that he planned to pay later for each act of compassion. As Isaiah the prophet foretold, "By his stripes we are healed." Matthew records that as Jesus went about doing good and healing, he fulfilled these words by the prophet: "Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows." But, these words are not from a passage that foretells the glory of his miracles; these words are from the famous Suffering Servant passage in Isaiah, the fifty-third chapter; and they are followed immediately by the words,
"Yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all." (Isaiah 53:4-6 - See Matthew 8:17, and compare.)
When Jesus healed the man with the dropsy on that Sabbath, to the anger of those Pharisees, he was planning to pay later, on the cross. All of his compassion and all of his mercy moved him to forgive and to heal as he walked the earth among the lost sheep of the House of Israel. When he told those who had marked out for themselves places of honor, that they ought rather to have taken the lowest place, he bade them repent and follow him; for he was going to take up the cross and carry it to his humiliating and tortuous death. There he took away the sins of the world, and on the third day when he rose again, he also conquered death for you and for me. So, we must follow, beginning at the lowest place; and beginning again today at that lowest place, beginning always anew at that lowest place when we confess our sins, before we may be bidden to come up higher, bidden to come to the very rail of the altar to partake of his Body and Blood.
Know this: Hanging on the cross was no occasion for pride. But, what an argument he won, indeed what a battle.

The most recent issue of "Sagewoman" magazine (No. 75, 2008) has a new column by Z Budapest, one of the women who helped create the women's spirituality movement in the early 1970s. Writing of those days, she says (p. 67):
"We were creating our own religion, our own rituals, our own prayers and sacred dances. Our own holy days. Our own priestesses. Everything between birth and death was now in our domain. We were saying, in effect, "Move over old man god, your time is up. Take your desert-born religions with you. Take your woman hating-tenets, take your male rule over women and bury it. We are free now. We no longer believe in you. We don't care about your 'good Women's spirituality still has the wonderful headiness of that freedom and creativity. It's one of the things I loved most about this path when I first began to walk it 20 years ago. Today it's something I simply take for granted because it's ingrained in me. But this quotation reminded me of how exhilarating it was when I encountered that freedom and creativity for the first time. How different it felt to be the active author of my own spiritual beliefs and rituals, instead of being the passive recipient of teachings and rituals handed down from one generation to the next!

The majority of Wiccans in the sacred space is a place of power - the altar. When Wiccan spell creates or pray, then focuses the energy on the altar, where the caster then spent on the execution of spells. Walking past the altar, we automatically think of the gods. Because the altar - a holy place, then it does not put half-full cup of tea and a plate of leftovers, do not stack up on it a notebook, do not put make-up.
The altar may be any bedside table, desk, even a cardboard box, turned upside down. It all depends on your handling. The altar may be of two types: temporary and permanent. Temporary altar, as the name implies, is erected only when you need it. This altar is right for you, if your relatives have a negative attitude to your magical practice. If you choose the permanent option of the altar, then place it in a secluded corner of the room, where he will not be much mazolit anyone's eyes.
To an ordinary table was the altar should be placed on him certain magical items and characters. There are many design options for the Wiccan altar, so you can make to the proposed scheme with any adjustments.
First you need two candles: Blue - Goddess candle and red - a candle of God. Place them in the back of the altar on the left and right corners, respectively. Next to the candle can be placed Goddess image or figure symbolizing the Goddess, and next to the candle of God - a figure representing him. In the center of the altar, place the pentacle. Around it should be placed symbols of the elements in the north - a bowl of salt (rock) in the east - the incense or a feather, in the south - a red candle in the west - a bowl of water. This design is suitable for an altar daily prayer and meditation. If needed, during the altar ritual have more candles, herbs, and athame wand, chalice. It should be remembered that the altar conditionally divided into two zones: the right half - the zone of God, the left - the zone of the Goddess. Therefore, athame and staff should have the right, and the cup - to the left.

I came across this article the other day, and it strikes me as a perfect example of completely missing the point regarding the witchcraft persecutions of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.
This seems as good a time as any to admit to a possibly controversial personal belief: of those accused of witchcraft over the ages, especially in Europe and its colonies during the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, and put to death, I am certain a dreadful percentage were innocents, but, by the same token, I am equally certain some percentage were guilty of actual witchcraft and trafficking with fiends.
It's actually not much of a controversy to suggest that a significant number of those executed by the Inquisition were in fact practitioners of some sort of esoteric spiritual or magical system regarded as heretical by the Church. I can think of one for sure off the top of my head - Giordano Bruno.
While none of the tests in the "Malleus Maleficarum" actually work to identify magicians and the activities that many of the accused confessed to under torture bear no resemblance to the practices of any real school of magick, some of the accusations themselves were probably rooted in fact. I mean, I'm sure that at least a few people were using the grimoires that were available at that time, which would probably qualify as "trafficking with fiends" in eyes of Inquisitors. As far as the numbers go, if you include the Cathars who were practically wiped out during the Albigensian crusade it could perhaps be the case that half of those executed were "guilty" in the eyes of the Church.
The thing is, though, that what was wrong about the Inquisition was not that it executed people who were falsely accused of practicing magick, but rather that it executed people for exploring alternative spiritual practices - whether or not they had actually done so. Even if every single person who was tried and found guilty by the "witchfinders" had actually practiced some form of magick the whole thing still would have been brutal, barbaric, and inexcusable. The fact that innocent people were persecuted merely adds incompetence to the already extensive list of crimes against humanity perpetrated by the Inquisitors.
Angels and devils are as real as the Risen Christ, and devils live to ensnare mortal souls by enticing them into heresy and sin. So, why not witchcraft?
While I agree that spirits fitting the description of angels and devils exist, the Manichean univalence of Christian theology isn't the best way to classify them. The basic Christian model seems to be that any minion of the Christian God is an angel and all other spiritual entities that exist across the whole universe, even entities from different religious pantheons who otherwise fit the Christian idea of goodness, are devils. That strikes me as kind of silly, in that it assumes a "with us or against us" mindset that is not particularly enlightened.
I'm not talking about magic or somesuch superstitious nonsense, I am talking about the select use of the profane power still present in devils from their time as angels before the Rebellion and War in Heaven.
So would working with a grimoire constitute "superstitious nonsense" even though the author clearly believes that it is possible to summon "devils?" Maybe the author is contrasting magic (stage magic) with magick (the spiritual arts) here, because otherwise it's kind of a confusing sentence.
Old Scratch is real, his legions of devils are real, and I find no reason to believe that there are not sons of Adam and daughters of Eve so debased as to have surrendered themselves in service to the Archfiend's infernal will, to the peril of their immortal souls.
There are demons in world, yes. I've summoned them and I know that they exist. I can say the same for angels. However, if you surrender your will to a demon that's called possession, not magick. The angels and demons that I work with are directed by my will, not the other way around.
I understand that as the author appears to be a conservative Christian he or she probably disagrees with that statement and just about any other that I'm likely to make about the nature of magick. Nonetheless, I would hope it should be obvious that torturing and killing me over those disagreements would be fundamentally wrong, and that it was fundamentally wrong in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries as well.

I remember years of watching vast New Mexico summer sky emptying into a fierce sunlit blueness and then filling with the blessings of clouds, veils of rain, lightning, rainbows: storms moving around and through the sky bowl by their own breath, pouring out gifts to dusty ground. Watery hands brushed the face of my world. I remember the sharp smell of fire and water in the air, the cleanness of emerging sun shining on the wet ground later, the earth flowing, then flowering.
I remember a recent weekend of oceanside camping, watching the peaceful foggy emptiness of clouds darkening the night sky, then waking two hours before dawn on the last day to find the darkness filled to bursting with stars.
Emptiness does not stay so, either in the physical or spiritual realms. The cycles of nature reflect the greater reality of which the physical world is an inseparable part. The "scientific" truism that "nature abhors a vacuum" also reflects spiritual and inner truth. The miracle and blessing of being human includes our ability to move through our own inner voids and emptiness and to find our creativity, our core. These things are not the same as void and emptiness, which are only a setting for them. We fill the voids as a natural part of the cycle - to freeze into one part is unnatural as neither happens without the other. While many spiritual traditions acknowledge the power of void and chaos, most also move past them, or see them as the birthing place or as a place of death which precedes birth in a repeating (and ritualized) cycle.
At times it is easy to confuse the pain and fear that goes with loss with the emptiness and void which precedes renewal and growth. The confusion can perpetuate that void and prevent healing. That can lead to a halt in the natural cyclic movement and can turn the power of a person's inner emptiness into something destructive and unhealthy. Many times this is unintentional, of course, especially if brought on by physical or emotional crisis, but in the same way that nature prompts things to move into a vacuum and fill it, the empty one draws life and energy to herself - sometimes in a material way (like hoarding or overeating) or sometimes by draining other people's energy. A very few perpetuate this condition within themselves with intent, sensing power there, however unhealthy it may be, and choosing to use it against others, or not knowing there are better alternatives. They choose not to step back into the natural cycle. (This is commonly known, especially when done with intent, as psychic vampirism.) Extend this situation to its analogous presence within the spiritual realm and you can get a glimpse of truths behind the multiplicity of stories in our culture about positive or negative spiritual entities. (Yes, they're there.) I see positive as implying acceptance and movement within the natural and spiritual cycles of death, creation, and rebirth. I see negative as the frozen, locked, vampiric energy which exploits only the power of the void and will not move past it.
And we have only to look once more at the world around us (and inside us) to know that the enormous void is blessed with uncountable stars and worlds, including our own. Everything evolves and changes, but it all lives. And there is always the Light, outside in the void and within our own emptiness.
I offer a meditation. Go into your own emptiness. Walk into it as though you were descending a spiral staircase, solid steps under your feet moving you into a deep cavern. Move into a flat place and quiet yourself. The walls disappear until there is only dark. Pass into that dark place. Maybe you've been afraid to look at it, let alone be in it. Let yourself be enfolded into it.
Become aware. Maybe you will feel a velvety feel to the darkness. Or hear a sound not quite a sound. Or sense a whisper of air. In the emptiness you can hear a faint, then growing, cosmic heartbeat. It becomes louder. It is the heartbeat of the Mother.
Open your inner eyes. You may have thought they were open, but now you find another opening, a lifting of the veil. At first you see nothing. Then, a spark. Then another. Stars are born, springing all around you. You see their light. You can almost hear them singing.
Look into the Center. You may see the Goddess there, using Her hands to weave the stars into this place. She looks at you and invites you to approach. You do so. Then somehow Her hands and your hands are overlapping and become one.
You sit where she sits; you, too, birth the stars through your fingers.
When it is time, let the vision fade. Return to the stairs you used to descend into the dark. Climb them, feel them under you. Retrace your steps. Emerge into a sunlit world again, and feel the world around you. And when you can, watch: even the empty sky is filled with life and light. And so are you.

I sometimes think God is punishing me with all of this need for a routine, AGAIN, in my life.
"BY BOB DEMARCO"
"ALZHEIMER'S READING ROOM"
Mother Teresa
I suspect, actually I know, that some Alzheimer's caregivers wonder if God is punishing them? Others wonder if God is punishing the person living with Alzheimer's?
Personally, I often wonder, is their a reason, a spiritual reason for this experience?
For example, is the experience of living with dementia preparing Dotty for something more important? Is she learning something that is preparing her in some way for the spiritual world? Is the experience of living with dementia somehow allowing Dotty to complete her physical life before she moves on to another world?
I do believe that my Alzheimer's experience is preparing me to accomplish something important. Will I be accomplishing that mission after Dotty passes? Accomplishing that mission here on earth? Or, accomplishing that mission somewhere else? Is their life after death? Will I need what I learned during my caregiving experience in
"I sometimes think God is punishing me with all of this need for a routine, AGAIN, in my life. I had looked forward to not having to live by routine when we retired, but here we are, forced back into routine. I know you are right about that, Bob, but it has been among the hardest things for me to accept about the AD world".
What do you think? You are welcome to comment below in the Add New Comment area, or submit an article around this topic.
Perhaps God is allowing us to learn something that is necessary to complete our lives here on earth.

"A PROTECTION RITUAL"
Return To The Grimoire Menu
A RITUAL OF PROTECTION Before you begin this or any ritual please review these three very important postings. The Law Of Accountability
Spell Construction
Protecting Your Energies
Grounding & Balancing For Ritual Work
-
TOOLS What you need before you get started.
* A white and gold candle.
* A rope made of natural fibers. Long enough to make a circle approximately 5 feet in diameter.
* A ceremonial broom, feather or scepter to mark the doorway of your circle.
* This is more personal preference than anything else. Being part Native American, I have made a small stick (about 2" in diameter and 2 feet long) which has a carved wolf's head at the top. I've decorated the wooden stick with leather fringe, white feathers and beads. This scepter acts as my doorway into the sacred wheel/circle.
* Matches and a candle snuffer.
* A potion ~ The Rose Shield (optional)
* If the spell is for a person, select an amulet to consecrate for protection.
* This can be a spiritual symbol such as a pentagram, or animal.
* A crystal, such as Peridot, Pyrite, or Clear Quartz.
* Sea salt for cleansing the amulet.
* A bowl or small saucer to hold the amulet as you consecrate it.
* An object to represent the Western side of the Wheel of Life, and/or the Earth element.
* An owl, crow or snake can represent the West.
* So to can autumn leaves, or a red candle.
* You can use dirt, or red clay soil for the earth.
* You're Book of Shadows and something to write with.
* An offering to the Great Spirits.
* If you're planning on meditating (which is recommended) during the ritual, select an appropriate piece of music to last 10 to 30 minutes.
-
THE SHIELD SPELL A spell of protection is not an act against another person, animal, object, or event. Rather it is a shield which surrounds you and/or the person, place or object you wish to protect. This is an important distinction as this sets the foundation for your INTENT. If you don't understand this, then go back and read the Law Of Accountability posting. This spell is most often used when someone feels they are in danger or in fear of another person or situation. This is not always the case, as this spell can also be used to protect you and your car or any vehicle from trouble if you take a long trip. In any case, this ritual addresses the fear that might be underlying the need for protection. CREATING YOUR SACRED SPACE:
* Creating your sacred space, begins with you. Before you can begin any spiritual work, be it a simple mediation or full blown ceremony complete with pomp and circumstance, YOU must be prepared. Being Grounded and Balanced before any spiritual work is essential to both your intent and the effectiveness of you work. So take a few moments to read our process for Grounding & Balancing For Ritual Work.
* Face northward, holding the long rope in your hands. Raise the rope to your deity of choice and say something like:
* Great Spirits,
I lay down this barrier,
for the purpose of setting my protection,
both within and outside this sacred space.
* You will lay out the rope in two sections beginning with the center of the rope in the north. The circle should be large enough for you to sit inside and should include your altar if possible. Don't step inside the circle as you lay out the rope. Stand on the outer edge until the circle is drawn. The easiest way to begin is to find the center of the rope and lay it down in the North. Then coil the section that will be placed in the west on the floor near your starting point so it will not be in your way as you lay out the east side of the circle.
* The right or the east side of the circle is defined first. Place the center of the rope in the North, then walk clockwise to the east, ending with the free end in the south.
* Return to the north and pick up the remaining section. Move counter-clockwise laying the rope in the west to end with the free end in the south.
* When you have finished, you should be standing at the bottom (south) of the circle, facing north.
* Hold up your ceremonial scepter or broom and say a prayer asking that this be the doorway between your physical world and the spiritual world being created inside the circle. Say something like:
* Great Spirits,
I place this staff as my circles shield
to protect my intent and this sacred field.
Within this wheel I ask for divine light,
to preserve my actions as they move into the night.
* As you step over the scepter into the circle, state your purpose for entering this sacred space. Once inside, imagine a doorway of divine energy closing behind you. Say something like:
* Great Spirits,
I, state your magik name, enter this sacred wheel to
request protection and understanding
for {name a person, situation, whatever}.
CALLING UPON THE SPIRITS:
* Once you have entered your sacred circle, close your eyes and call upon the spiritual entities you would like to be present for support and assistance. You might call upon the God/Goddess, your spiritual guides and teachers. Or a particular protection pantheon, such as Hermes, Vishnu, or Gawain for the Gods. Aradia, Athena, or Brigantia (Brighid) for the Goddess.
* First call your personal Spirit Guide and solicit their assistance during the ritual. Your personal guide can assist you to maintain focus and concentration during the ritual as well as, aid in your tasks within the circle. You might call upon them like this:
* (State your guides' name),
I call upon your guidance and love to assist me during this ceremony of protection.
To help me maintain my focus, energy and alignment for divine purpose and work.
* Many traditional witches align their energies with their personal deity or Pantheon at this point as well. You might call upon them like this:
* I believe in the spiritual existence of myself as a perfect image of (deity' name).
In this reflection that is my physical embodiment, I align myself and my faith in the supreme guidance of my soul with the ancient powers and wisdom of (state the deity' name once more) for the purpose of invoking protection and understanding.
* However you chose to call upon the spirit(s), make sure you're stating your purpose for the summoning, asking permission or inviting (not demanding) them to join you. Make sure you give proper thanks and offerings for their assistance as well.
* Once you have invited the divine spirits to join you, you can sit inside your circle and prepare for casting.
LIGHTING THE ALTAR CANDLE:
* Begin with lighting your altar candle. This is the white candle you selected in your preparations.
* Close your eyes and imagine a flame being lit within your own body.
* Imagine your spiritual essence, lighting a flame in your solar plexus. This is your divine light, the spirit within you that will provide the energy to the wick of your candle and the work ahead.
* With each breath you take, imagine the flame inside your being growing stronger and brighter. Until it fills your entire body with it's warmth and bright light.
* Open your eyes, take the matches/lighter in hand and light the wick of your candle.
* Say something like:
* Great Spirits,
I, state your magik name, bring to light this flame of fire,
protecting my purpose from the muck and mire.
{pick up the amulet and present it to the divine forces}
I set forth this amulet for divine consecration,
as a guardian for, state the person or issue being protected, from this dedication.
* Place the amulet into a small bowl and cover it with sea salt.
CASTING THE SHIELD:
* Start with lighting your protection candle. This is the gold candle you selected in your preparations.
* As before, close your eyes and imagine a flame being lit within your own body.
* Imagine your spiritual essence, lighting a flame in your solar plexus. This is your divine light, the spirit within you that will provide the energy to the wick of your candle.
* With each breath you take, imagine the a gold flame inside your being growing stronger and brighter. Until it fills your entire body.
* Open your eyes, take the matches/lighter in hand and light the wick of your candle.
* As you do, imagine the light within you gaining in strength and growing yet again, this time your body can not contain the energy field and it pushes outside to encompass your physical being.
* Say something like:
* Great Spirits,
I bring to light this guardian flame,
sending all fear back from whence it came.
* With the protection candle lit and ready, you're ready for the meat of the Shield Spell.
* Use your right hand to draw you personal sigil or a pentacle over the flame. (Not too close, you don't want to get burned.) You can use the center of your palm as the drawing force, the tips of your fingers or just one finger, it's up to you. I use my middle and ring fingers pressed together, with my hand open. If you were to look at my hand from above, it would resemble the hand language sign for 'I Love You'. Say something like:
* Great Spirits,
I, state your magik name, set forth the light of protection
for, state the person or purpose needing protection.
I ask to the divine forces to shield him/her from harm,
fear and (if a person is causing the need for protection, state that persons name, it if is an event or issue, describe that here).
* Next, make a circle with your hands about 3 inches over the top of the candle. Thumb touching thumb, and middle finger touching middle finger. No other fingers should be touching.
* Slowly lower your "hand circle" over and around the candle to it's base. As you do, cast your spell. You'll do this 3 times. Once for each verse. Don't rush it, if you reach the bottom of the candle before you've completed your verse, hold your hands in the circle at the base and complete the citation.
* As you recite the spell, imagine the color of the candle rising up into the flame. Imagine your words carrying the light and energy of the spell from your hands into the candle and into the flame. Imagine all these energies combining, taking shape and form within the flame of the candle. As your recite the spell each time, imagine the energy you've created going out into the spiritual world through the light and smoke of the flame, making it's way to manifestation. Your verses might be something like this:
* Great Spirits, Lady Brighid, Queen of Heaven and protectress of life,
I, state your magik name, ask for your help and sacred energy to enter my shield (or who/whatever the protection is needed for) that I may carry your divine protection with me. * I ask for assistance that this hallowed shield deflect any and all ill intentions from those who wish to do harm physically, emotionally or spiritually.
* Please grant this prayer to ease the fear and concern of, state the persons name, so they might find understanding and compassion of those wishing to do them harm.
* For your gracious assistance I give my greatest thanks.
Blessings Be To The.
* Move the bowl containing the amulet between you and the candle.
* Raise the bowl and present it to the divine forces. Say something like this:
* Great Spirits, Lady Brighid,
Please case your favor and protection on this simple amulet.
Instill your divine protection into it's boundaries, and permeates energy with your divine light. I ask that your divine protection encompass the one who carries/wears it for as long as the need exists.
* Remove the amulet from the salt and hold it over the candle's flame,
* For your gracious assistance I give my greatest thanks.
Blessings Be To The.
* Replace the amulet in the dish, but this time rest it on top of the sea salt.
* Many people find it appropriate to honor the spirits and deities that they've asked to assist them. I happen to be one of these people. However, for rituals such as this, my family has given honor through an offering of life, instead of food. By that I mean, planting a seed or plant in honor of the deities. One that supports or represents the energy of the deity. In this case, a rose bush would be an appropriate offering.
* Raise the unplanted bush and present it to the divine forces. Say something like this:
* I give this offering of rose and thorn as my symbol of gratitude and honor.
To the Great Spirits and Lady Brighid, whose light and love shall shine through it's pedals of beauty, to remind us all of your unselfish gifts.
Blessings Be To The.
MEDITATION AND CLOSING:
* No matter what your ceremony is for, you should add a moment of meditation to the event. In this altered state, you can add to a spell by visualizing the energy being created, seeing it in your mind as it manifests and comes to form. You can contact the Great Spirits and engage them in a private ritual. You can use this time to thank the forces that have helped you this evening. Lastly, you might ask for clarity of vision or a better understanding for why this situation is happening. What additional lessons are there to learn from this issue?
* Here's where you should write a brief summary of the ritual and your experience in your personal Book of Shadows. Record any insights you might have gained through the meditation, or any physical feelings, or emotions you might have experienced.
* Conclude your ritual by closing your chakra centers. You can following the same final step in the Grounding ceremony to accomplish this.
* When you have completed this step, stand inside your circle. Face north and give thanks once more for this sacred space. Turn southward and imagine the energy door opening, allowing you to exit while still protecting the circle. Step over the scepter and imagine the doorway closing behind you.
THE CLEAN UP As you clean up your circle and altar, snuff out the altar candle. In some circles it's considered to be bad form to blow out the flame. Allow the protection candle to burn for about another 30 minutes. BUT don't leave the candle un-attended! Set it on a fire place mantle, or some place where it will not cause harm or danger within your home. Place the amulet near the candle and leave it there until you're ready to give it to the person it was meant for. At that time, remove the amulet and clean it with luke warm water and dry it. Place it inside a small pouch or bag made from natural fibers, such as cotton, silk or even a small wooden box will do. Present the amulet to the person as a gift from the Great Spirits. That concludes the shield ritual. I hope those who try it, find it to be helpful. Many Blessings.

EXPANDING INTO MORE LIGHT THROUGH THE ENHANCED MERKABAH

We are in a powerful movement forward and upward. You might question all that you have known, including what you know about Ascension and how you are traversing through life. This may very well leave you feeling confused or lost. However, if you can trust that all is unfolding in Divine Order, and let go of the need to know what, why or how, and stay in the Moment, you will be just fine. Much is disintegrating including your desire to put things in a category/label and your desire to be a part of something.
Certainly one of the biggest shifts is that of belonging; whether that belonging is to be a part of a like-minded group, a family, friends or whatever makes you feel less alone. I can tell you that the reason so many have felt alone is because it is important to realize that you are "not" alone, but a part of something bigger than the group mindset. It's a big shift that is essential. Realize that you are not alone, but a part of something "universal"; rather than worldly.
We can only ascend on our own in order to anchor our spiritual sovereignty and Authentic Self. The sense of needing to belong somewhere actually limits you and limits your Unity Consciousness. Be discerning about any group you join; go deeper and ask yourself why you want to. In fact, be discerning about anything you are drawn to do and/or be a part of.
We all must step into our own Power and the present energy is helping us do just that. Remember when I shared about the Sirian Universal Merkabah back in July? That Merkabah is amping up in energy, and since we are receiving this even higher Light now, we are being taken to a whole new level. The Merkabah has been steadily activated with every Gateway, Full and New Moon and Eclipses. It's huge energy now and asks that we let go of what we "think" we know and be empty in order to receive this Light.
I posted something on my Facebook Community Page about this a few days ago, not really knowing what the energy was, but simply sharing how it felt. The energy of the Universal Merkabah has been ongoing and has increased in Source Power, so you may feel more sensitive and your body may be adjusting. A few days ago, when I connected to the energy, my ear-ringing took on a whole new level...it was so loud! This often happens when there is a new level of Light energy flowing through. And your body often tells you when this happensin its unique way.
As part of this amping up, threes are very prevalent. Three is a beautiful number and symbolizes Joy and Creativity. This is a message that not only are we in touch with the Trinity and Merkabah (32=6), we are asked to have our Soul speak to us through Creativity and Joy. Of course, when one is creative; no matter the form; they are connected with Soul and thus experience high Joy.
Doing so raises us up in God/Christ Consciousness, activates our Soul's DNA (which rests within our physical DNA), and our Souls are merging with and as us...as we allow our entire past go and all that we think we know. Also, go beyond what you know the Trinity to be. For me the Trinity is Source/Soul/Me; One. The New Trinity is not separate aspects; it is the sacred geometric shape of One.
Trust that you are led by Soul. This means that any plans you make "may" not be honored, for all is in Divine Order. When your desire is manifest, it is aligned with Soul. The only thing you can do is trust that Soul knows what It's doing. If things seem to be on hold, perhaps there is more old to let go of. Truly, the only thing to do is to surrender to the Moment. Soul already knows your deepest desires.
If there is any attachment to what you want, it probably will not come to pass. Attachment to form is another big thing to let go of and replace it with Divine Order and Divine Time. Take a look at your life. Realize that whatever is present right now is meant to be there for your highest evolution. If you don't like it, see what lesson/gift is there for you to integrate, accept and/or release. If you are in judgment of something, this is attaching to it and until you can allow it to be, it will not evolve into something New.
Yes, we are evolving in this cycle; more than we have ever before. Do you feel it? It will be different for each of you. It doesn't matter how it manifests; whether you are just waking up or whether you've been on this Path for years; know this: it is an expansion of your Christed Self; the leader in you. No longer are you a sheep, following whatever beckons you. Being Christed means you follow your "own" Heart. It means to be fully awake, aware of yourself 100% and of others. It means that you can see what still needs release and it is to not try, hope, or wish things were different. It is to be in full Acceptance of where you are.
It means you are detached from personal desire as well as what others are doing, including your closest connections. It means you are in Acceptance of each moment; not wishing it was done with or different. Being Christed means you see the gift in everything and you do not judge anything or anyone as good/bad, smart/dumb, awake or asleep, etc; for these are all of 3D duality and being Christed is only of Oneness, with no opposites; no Light and dark. Being Christed is to be in Acceptance of What Is.
As part of this powerful time, you have an opportunity to release all past lives, including your lineage. You have an opportunity to let go of deep cultural beliefs; this frees you from the 3D matrix, which holds you back in the old. Ask yourself about Christmas. Is it a cultural belief that you follow because it is expected of you or?
As you continue to release the old, you will notice that your life will be very different. Welcome! You are creating the New. See how simple it is? You let go and the New fills you up with Love. Know that your Heart Center is the core (Coeur) of you. It is where the Angels, Ascended Masters and Soul speak to you. It is so important to meditate within the Heart Center. It is the Gateway to higher dimensions and your Christed Self. As your Heart is activated, as it is now, you may feel heart palpitations (or butterflies in the heart), a sense that your Heart is expanding or even being squeezed. This focus on the Heart is why you feel more sensitive and are more intuitive. The Heart is clear; it is not wounded or hurt or broken. It is the home of Soul; therefore, the Heart is pure and strong. It is the purpose of the Solar Plexus to handle emotions and perceived pain...in order to keep the Heart clear.
As you focus on your Heart, you empower your Christed Self. Your feeling-sense is enhanced, as you let go more of your intellect-sense. Your separate ego thus becomes more your unified ego; that of being the Soul's vehicle for expression. As you align with the vibration of the Heart, it becomes easier to let go of anyone/anything that does not similarly vibrate. Certainly, to be Christed is to have everything within you and around you be congruent, is it not?
Allow yourself to rise, evolve and Be your Christed Whole Self. It is OK to let go of anything that does not resonate with you; in fact, it's imperative. It takes great Courage to do so and you are so very honored as you commit to being all, in Truth, that you are...and keep it simple. The more complicated things are, the more your Vision and Heart are foggy. May you be profoundly blessed during this powerful time.
