Russell is NOT buried under a pyramid. The pyramid was built in the middle of the cemetery.
The pyramid was erected after his death by J.A. Bohnet a Bible Student. The monument was built in the middle of the WTS plot in the cemetery. It was to be a marker of sorts for the Bible House family (those who worked at the headquarters in Pa). The pyramid contains a cross, crown and wreath symbol, scripture quotes, an open book which has names of Bible Students who died and were buried in the cemetery
Russell and the early Bible Students thought that God had directed the building of the Great pyramid by Hebrews as a secondary way to confirm the Bible's chronology.
This was not a belief that the Bible Students made up, but was commonly taught in many mainstream Churches which they had just come out of. It took them time to discern what was true and what was myth. In the 1800s some religious scholars felt that the Great Pyramid was built by the Hebrews under God's direction. They believed that biblical texts such as Isa 19:19-20 foretold that the Pyramid contained clues to the interpretation of Biblical prophecies that would be understood in the end times.
BUT WITNESSES CORRECTED THEIR WRONG UNDERSTANDINGS WHILE OTHER RELIGIONS CONTINUE TO BELIEVE OBVIOUS MYTHS ASSOCIATED WITH THE CROSS AND HOLIDAYS. And there are still theologians and accepted members of mainstream churches who still teach Pyramidology, numerology, and mix "New Age" metaphysics with no repercussions from their respective organizations.
JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES HAVE NEVER HIDDEN THE FACT THAT THEY HAD INCORRECT BELIEFS DUE TO IGNORANCE, BUT WE REGULARLY STUDY OUR HISTORY. But, the Bible shows that God allows his servants to gradually understand (Pro. 4:18; Jn 16:12) just as the prophets and Apostles had to gradually learn and change their understandings (Dan. 12:8, 9; 1 Pet. 1:10-12; Acts 1:6, 7; 1 Cor. 13:9-12).
So, concern with past beliefs which were incorrect is a waste of time and distracts from the real issue. That is, a FAILURE to correct false doctrine or actions when presented with solid evidence would be proof that a religion or an individual is not God's organization or a Christian.
It is hypocritical and it's illogical to address past beliefs which have been changed in order to cast doubt on current teachings of any religion. What someone taught years ago has no bearing on the accuracy of what is taught now.
Rejecting current beliefs based on past misunderstanding is just plain unintelligent.

During a meditation time of much love and bliss recently, I began asking Divine to use me to help humanity (as is my practice) and was interrupted by the message, "Heal the Earth."
Heal the earth? I'm enlightened sufficiently to know that every thought, word, and deed of one person affects the whole. Therefore, paying attention to what I think, speak, and do is important. I don't have much of a problem with the "doing." However, I do find negative thoughts in my mind (whether my own or those of others passing through-and they do). I'm aware that when I have a negative thought I can immediately neutralize it. I like to cover my bases (at least weekly if not more often) by affirming/decreeing that I am neutralizing all negative thoughts and imaginings that me and mine have created and are creating. If the reader would like to begin doing this, here is one suggested format: "I Am [name]. I Am That I Am. I [name] Decree I Am neutralizing all negative imaginings and all negative thoughts that me and mine have created and are creating on a full and permanent basis now." The "me and mine" is used so as to cover all facets of the person, including subpersonalities (which 99.9% of all souled humans have).
To heal the earth, one can affirm: "I Am [name]. I Am That I Am. I [name] decree I Am coming from love at all times, with all people, in all situations on a full and permanent basis now." And strive to do so until one is "on automatic pilot" in one's day-to-day life.
It occurred to me to just decree/affirm that I am healing the earth and allow the earth to utilize the energy flowing through my instrument in whatever way it chooses. One can do so in this manner: "I Am [name]. I Am That I Am. I [name] Decree I Am healing the earth now." It would be helpful if love emanates from one's heart in full measure and one intentionally radiates light through one's entire body out into one's environment.
If the reader feels uncertain with how to proceed with these suggestions, we are available to assist.

A reachable decryption of the oldest calligraphy ever found at an archaeological site in Jerusalem has thrilling implications. If proper, the decryption attests to an unadulterated deliver a verdict and paper in which private were literate, and had a paper for classifying wine by suggestion.
"
Lettering on shard found in Ophel bank [Credit: Oriah Tadmor]"
The calligraphy was found in the Ophel bank, south of the Place of worship Climb, at an archaeological dig run by Dr. Eilat Mazar, from the Archaeological Gain at the Hebrew Speculative of Jerusalem.
The calligraphy, outdoor six months ago, is etched modish a mystify of what was a large ironstone china pitcher, and is eight characters longing. It is obsolete to the microscopic short of the 10th century BCE, the days of King Solomon.
Most scholars who stand examined the calligraphy chubby that it was on paper in an ancient practically eastern hearsay, and not in Hebrew.
An document slightly published by Instructor Gershon Galil from the wing of Jewish Make note of at Haifa Speculative, however, suggests a new investigation of the calligraphy.
Galil suggests that it is on paper in ancient Hebrew. "The writing itself is petite, in Europe, there are most recently a range of languages that use Latin characters," explains Galil. The word that Galil deciphered, which suggests that the calligraphy is on paper in ancient Hebrew is "yayin," which means wine.
"Here we see the word 'yayin.' On every occasion you check how all the languages from that remove and area wrote 'wine,' you see they wrote it with one 'yud,' - the extraordinarily in Samarian northern Hebrew. The Phoenicians wrote it the extraordinarily way as well. Deviation from the southern Hebrew of that time, even the scrolls found in Qumran care for the extraordinarily spelling of the word," explains Galil.
According to Galil, the calligraphy requisite be read "in the court [... ]M, wine, part, m[...]"
"
The drawing found on a 3,000-year-old ironstone china jug in Jerusalem [Credit: Oriah Tadmor]"
Galil posits that the calligraphy can be estranged modish three parts that portray the wine stored in the pitcher. The initial implication is a last "mem", possibly the end of the word for twenty or thirty - as in the twentieth or thirtieth court of the country of Solomon. "Wine part" is the range of wine, and the "mem" represents the place from which it was brought to Jerusalem.
"Wine part" is a label that is accepted from the Ugarit hearsay from northern Syria, which is the dough of three categories cast-off to define wine: "good wine, no good," and "slanted."
"This wine wasn't served to Solomon's emissaries, or in the temple, but so it is said was for the slave construction cane who worked in the bank," says Galil.
From other, in the same way as sources, archaeologists know that the low suggestion wine was unchangeable to crowd or be bounded by laborers. The fact that the wine was of low suggestion is whichever logical since that it was stored in a large liner that did not save it very novel.
This new ideology a propos the calligraphy decision no worry raison d'?tre a big delight along with the archaeological community, a propos the periods of Kings David and Solomon. Many archaeologists maintain that all the way through biblical period, Jerusalem was not a large or substantial city, not considering the way it was described in Biblical literature.
Instructor Galil and other cohorts of the Biblical accounts see the Bible as a previous document, and this track interpretation of the calligraphy rigging the time of a self-conscious supervisory paper, as well as a hierarchical faction with regulated shipping from far off seats. These claims opinion the Biblical drawn from a keg of the story, which describes Jerusalem as a large, substantial city, that ruled excellent crucial kingdoms.
The calligraphy, according to researchers who opinion the Biblical drawn from a keg of the history, rigging the ideology that Jerusalem lengthened all the way through King Solomon's time, from the Built-up of David to the Place of worship Climb.

Day 1
Chapter 1
Stutthof Concentration Camp, 1942.
Two years. Two long years in the frozen hell of northern Poland. You couldn't say he wasn't devoted! Horst Geller had joined the Schutzstaffel at the beginning of 1936. He was twenty-three. He had never been a big Hitler fan, but when he saw the way the fhrer fascinated the mob, he knew joining up was the smart thing to do. Horst had chosen the SS to be left alone, not to be part of Hitler's personal protection squad. As a member of the SS, he knew his family would be respected and protected from the cloud of paranoia that hung over Germany. His homeland had gone insane and taken Europe down with it. But one day, the war would be over, and order would return. Horst was even willing to bet his little apartment on it.
In 1940, he found himself married and soon thereafter, a father. His whole life changed with this double reward. But 1941 hadn't begun well. His higher-ups gave him a promotion, which in itself was good, even if he hadn't asked for anything. But it meant a transfer to Poland to guard a prison camp. It was an important mission, and all of his attempts to refuse the transfer had failed. So Horst had gone, heavy-hearted, leaving his wife, Karin, and his baby daughter, Gisela, behind.
"At least it's not the front," he told his grief-stricken wife in lieu of goodbye. Two colorless summers passed, both followed by winters, proving every night that hell is, indeed, a very cold place. From time to time, Horst got leave and went to Danzig, thirty-five miles to the west, where he'd get drunk and try to forget his solitude with the "soldiers' girls." His pay kept his wife and baby comfortably fed, which meant one worry fewer. Work in the camp wasn't very complicated. He just kept an eye on the dissidents sentenced to forced labor in the Deutsche Ausrstungswerke, a special weapons factory that belonged to the SS. Sometimes he pulled Jews out of trucks and shoved them into the barracks, and once a week he supervised the distribution of the meager rations of bread and turnip soup. He occasionally took pleasure in seeing the Jews in their rightful place, but there were also children, and it was becoming more and more difficult to bear their fearful gazes and pleading. Horst didn't want to hurt them. Of course, he had no sympathy for the Jews, and if he was asked to execute kids, he would, and for a simple reason: It was him or them.
Horst was an ordinary man lost in an endless winter, surrounded by hungry dogs and maniacal executioners. Sometimes he wondered how many other soldiers felt the way he did. How many of the elite soldiers answering to Reichsfhrer-SS Heinrich Himmler wept at night? At least one other, he hoped.
But SS Geller was even more depressed than usual that night. The temperature hovered around five below, and he was standing guard at the hospital, an imposing building much cleaner than the prisoners' barracks. The hospital would have given him the chills if he weren't already frozen stiff. The Jewish children who still had the strength to stand were sent here to satisfy the needs of the strange man who directed the place, known only by the name Herr Doktor.
The doctor never left the hospital and never mixed with the guards. Nobody had heard his voice. He communicated his needs in notes to the camp's new commander, Major Hoppe. Sometimes equipment was transferred from the weapons factory to the hospital, but the camp director was the only other person allowed inside. Horst had once come upon Major Hoppe unloading the shipping cases himself. Hoppe was a cruel, brutal man, not the kind of guy to take orders from just anyone, so the doctor had to be an intimidating character. Still, nobody tried to find out more. In the absurd world of Camp Stutthof, ignorance eased one's sleep and extended one's life expectancy.
November 9, 1942, was a special day. That evening, Himmler himself was going to visit the hospital. The camp's best soldiers were told to show the military and spiritual leader of the SS just how impeccably Stutthof was run. If everything went well, Hoppe thought they might receive more resources, men and equipment.
Horst was jittery. He took a long, hard drag on his cigarette and felt the smoke warm him up. His black leather gloves reeked of cold tobacco. He caught sight of a guard with two huge attack dogs patrolling the camp's barbed wire perimeter. At least that guy got to move around.
There were nine soldiers waiting with Horst, conscientiously freezing their asses off in the name of their supreme leader. The group was silent, but the looks they exchanged said much about their general weariness. Himmler and his staff of brownnosers would arrive in a few moments. The men would perform their pantomime without a hitch, and tomorrow morning a hot cup of coffee would help Horst forget the frigid cold.
The evening was bright, and the moon and stars shone from an immaculate sky, lighting up the fine mist that perpetually rose from the region's boggy ground. (The bright yellow searchlights in the guard towers were turned on only in high alerts.) Suddenly Horst and the nine other men threw down their cigarettes and crushed them under their heels. The sound of a motor could be heard coming down the dirt road that connected the camp to civilization. The rumble grew louder. Soon they could make out two approaching military vehicles. To their astonishment, the motorcade had only these two vehicles. The latest news from the front was good, but how could such an important man have such a small escort? Horst concluded the visit was top secret or, at the very least, meant to be discreet. The gates swung open, and the vehicles rolled to a halt in front of the honor guard.
The ten SS men snapped to attention, rifles resting on their left shoulders, their right arms lifted at a forty-five-degree angle, hands extended. Major Hoppe and the doctor hurried down the hospital steps and waited motionless in the middle of the two rows of soldiers. Four blond men emerged from the first vehicle. None were under six feet tall. They wore simple black uniforms in spite of the bitter cold.
One of them moved to the second car, opened its rear door and saluted Heil Hitler in a single crisp motion. Heinrich Himmler stepped out and gave the colossal soldier a friendly pat on the arm. A stiff aide-de-camp followed behind, carrying a heavy briefcase. The four men swiftly surrounded the reichsfhrer-SS and his assistant.
Horst watched the spectacle unfold from the corner of his eye. Four Bavarian woodsmen, dressed for August, protecting two little men in glasses, wrapped warmly in their greatcoats. Himmler headed up the two lines of soldiers with his men in tow. Major Hoppe and the doctor tried to hide their disappointment as Himmler momentarily ignored them to review the honor guard, smiling and uttering words of encouragement to the men. Himmler stopped in front of Horst.
"Is this climate too harsh for you, private?"
Surprised, Horst felt his heart begin to race. The devil could read his mind! He seized the opportunity. A little sucking-up couldn't hurt. "For you, Your Excellency, I would guard the North Pole." Himmler came closer. He had the fat, round face of a prosperous family man, but his pince-nez framed a malicious and disturbing expression.
"That isn't what I asked," Himmler replied under his breath. Horst stiffened.
He'd been exposed, but he remained calm. He was tired of pretending. "Poland is hell. I miss Hamburg, Your Excellency."
Keeping his gaze fixed on Horst, Himmler removed his glasses and wiped them clean. "You'll be transferred tomorrow." Horst's smile evaporated, and he swallowed nervously. He'd gone too far. Time stood still. Himmler's face wore a placid expression. "You'll be sent to Wewelsburg Castle. I'm sure you'll find the Westphalian climate more agreeable. I need more people like you-people who speak their minds. I'm surrounded by toadies, competent though they are." He nodded, indicating Major Hoppe.
Horst tightened his salute in relief. "Thank you, Your Excellency." He held back a Heil Hitler that wouldn't have helped matters at this point. Himmler turned away and gave instructions as he walked. His assistant nodded in agreement. They joined the camp leaders and swept into the front hall of the top-secret hospital. The masquerade was over.
The other guards gathered around Horst, taking out their cigarettes and lighters in unison. They warmly congratulated their lucky colleague. Horst tried to conceal his happiness, aware that his companions would soon be tormented with jealousy. They eventually dispersed and headed back to their quarters, but Horst stayed alone, his feet planted in the middle of the path. The knowledge that he would soon leave seemed to sharpen his senses. From now on, every breath of this frigid air would bring him closer to Germany and closer to home. He would hate Poland for the rest of his life.
One day he'd forget the horrors committed here. He took out the photo of his wife and baby from his inside pocket and kissed it. Suddenly, his vision blurred. A sharp noise wracked his skull. Where was it coming from? He tilted his head to the right. Orange flames enveloped his shoulder. The cold gave way to warmth, the world teetered, and he fell face-down. As the life painlessly left his body, Horst saw a trickle of blood run across the ground and over the photograph he was still holding in his burned hand. A child's bare feet scampered across frozen earth; this was his last vision. Horst Geller, SS man by happenstance, a husband and father swept up in the general madness of war, died November 9, 1942. He was one of ten official victims in an assassination attempt against Heinrich Himmler. The master of the Black Order survived.
The final solution rolled inexorably onward.
Chapter 2
Manhattan, present day, 9:48 a.m.
This morning, like every other morning, I'm hung over. My brain is fried. I'm a piece of shit. My head is pounding, and as I grope for aspirin on the bedside table, the lamp falls to the floor and breaks. How did that get there? When I sprinkle two pills into my palm, I feel better already. I toss them back and swallow them dry-water's for pussies. I bury my head in the pillow. I don't know what time it is, and I don't give a damn. There's a nagging sound, like something continually falling-or a lot of little things. My mouth tastes like tobacco. I'm a human ashtray.
I identify the sound. Water. A girl is in my shower. What's her name again? I don't remember, and I don't give a shit either. If she's taking a shower, she's leaving soon. Fine by me. Everything is fine by me, as long as I take the hits. There's one thing left to do, but I don't have the guts. I just want to be done with it once and for all. I could use a rope or jump off a building, but I'm a coward. So until I find an easy way out, I'm killing myself one day at a time. It's the same thing in the end.
She comes through the room, and I open an eye to see what she looks like. Small, brunette, tight. Not bad. She doesn't look at me and probably doesn't know my name either. But now I remember hers. Rachel. Is it Wednesday? Rachel was Tuesday. Actually, no, I don't know her name. She makes an incredible amount of noise for somebody getting dressed. I hear her saying something from the other room. My face is still in the pillow, and I can't understand. Probably "see you later." Sure. See you never.
Finally I'm alone. I open my eyes. The fog in my head is gone, but it took its sweet time leaving. Ten in the morning, and I'm late for work as usual. That bitch splashed water all over the bathroom! I hate that. It's a holdover from the days when I liked everything to be neat and in its place. I mop up the floor with a towel and get in the shower. The warm jets of water massage my body and gradually wake me up.
I'm thirty-one. I'm an asshole trader who works for a piece-of-shit Wall Street firm. I'm just a nobody, but I still seem to have a name: Jay Novacek. I turn off the water and grab a pack of cigarettes that's been left beside the sink. I couldn't just leave it there all alone, poor thing. I light one, because if I'm going to stick with my two-pack-a-day habit I have to get cracking. I look in the mirror and have to admit that I'm pretty well-built, though the memories of college sports and my occasional squash matches seem pretty distant now. I'm a good-looking guy. Girls say so, anyway. Blue eyes and a square jaw-they like that. The mirror steams up, and I can't see myself anymore. Thank God.
10:20. I'm smoking my third cigarette and sprawled on the beige leather couch in the living room. A steaming cup of coffee rests on the glass coffee table. Coffee is the only way I'll make it through the day. If everything goes well, I'll be dressed in ten minutes and in my office before eleven. Miracles can happen.
I hate my apartment. It reeks of money-big, empty and cold. Did I ever like this shit? Leather? Glass and black lacquer? Abstract scribbles and splatters by painters more fashionable than talented? I guess the answer is yes. I recognize my personality only in the plastic Spider-Man and Doctor Doom figurines on top of my stereo system.
I take another drag. I'm a piece of shit who can't even remember what he did last night. But I do remember every detail of one day by heart, to the point that I play it in my mind again and again. How long has it been? Six months? My memory of that day is as vivid as the coffee cup in front of me. I close my eyes and replay the events of that day for the umpteenth time
I'm at the office. In front of me are six computer screens, blinking everywhere, with graphs, curves, trends, numbers. The world's economy in a nutshell. On the other side of the Earth, people get up, work, pay back their loans, do their best to scrape by. But to me they don't live. They produce. And what they produce makes me rich.
It's Monday morning, and Dow Jones has collapsed. My friends are all trying to sell, but I'm buying everything that comes past. At the market's close that afternoon, the results are unprecedented: an eleven-point gain. I'm a star. I've just made a billion dollars for my firm, and fifty million of it is mine. Nobody's hotter than me. My boss is on cloud nine. My clients call, one after another, to thank me for what I've done. Champagne in the boardroom with the decrepit senior partners, conservative assholes, every one. The associates join us, and we pass the bottle around. When it's empty we go to dinner-French and expensive. You do what you have to do. The other traders watch us go by like masters of the universe. They throw me dirty looks. They can go screw themselves, the losers. In the elevator we joke and slap each other on the back.
Up until then everything was going fine. The sound of the doorbell snaps me back to the present. 10:23. Shit! Who the hell could it be? Whatever. Go on, asshole, ring all you want. He's a persistent asshole. I drag myself to the door. This apartment is way too big. I slide back the deadbolt and turn the knob. Two huge military men are standing ramrod straight in the hallway. They're wearing their best brass, white gloves, hats, the whole nine yards. Even their medals are out, and these guys have a few. I'd say the first guy, the older one in front, has about fifty. His clone, twenty years younger, has nearly as many. They would seem to serve a purely decorative function.
"Mr. Corbin?" (Nobody's called me that for at least twenty years.)
"Mr. Corbin is my father. I'm Jeremy Novacek."
The penguins don't even flinch. "Jeremy Novacek, we're here to present our sincere condolences on behalf of the armed forces of the United States of America. Your father, Air Force Lieutenant General Daniel J. Corbin, passed away. It's an honor to present you with this flag, as well as your father's military decorations." They give a military salute-rigid but clean. I'm not sure what to do. They don't look like they want to come in and kick back. I salute in return. It seems to work. They turn to the left and leave in step with each other. I push the door shut and stand there. I'm holding a flag folded in a triangle and a box of metal scraps stamped with eagles and stars.
My old man is dead. I lean against the bar in the kitchen, grab a bottle of cognac and throw back a gulp. News like this calls for a celebration. Today's program has just changed: first the office and then a train to Poughkeepsie. I ought to tell my mother that Lieutenant General Corbin finally decided to kick it.

The Gospel from Monday the second week of Advent is the gospel of the paralyzed man who is lowered through the roof. It is presented to us in Advent because, among the many prophecies about the Messiah, would be that the lame would walk. But the Gospel also helps us to focus on Jesus' central mission for us, and it is very provocatively expressed in this Gospel.
THE GOSPEL PASSAGE CONTAINS A RATHER PECULIAR AND SOMEWHAT AWKWARD MOMENT. Jesus looks at a paralyzed man and says to him, "As for you, your sins are forgiven" (Lk 5:20). What a strange thing to say to a paralyzed man.
THE PHARISEES AND SCRIBES OF COURSE ARE ALL WORKED UP FOR OTHER REASONS, but their reason is not ours, we know that Jesus has the authority to forgive sins. Let us stay focused on the strange thing to say to a paralyzed man, "your sins are forgiven you."
ONE OF US MODERN FOLK MIGHT BE TEMPTED TO TAP JESUS ON THE SHOULDER AND SAY, "Ah excuse me, Lord, this man is paralyzed, his problem is paralysis, that's what he needs healing for."
OF COURSE JESUS IS NOT BLIND OR UNINTELLIGENT, knows this. But looking at a paralyzed man he does not see the paralysis as his most serious problem. The man has a far more serious problem, his sin.
NOW MOST OF US, WHO LIVE IN THE WORLD, HAVE THE WORLDS PRIORITIES, and we do not think like this. The Lord sees something more serious than paralysis, and we think, "What can be more serious than paralysis?!"But not as man sees, does God see. For God, the most serious problem we have is our sin. But again, we don't think like this, and even being told we should think like this, we still don't think like this.
FOR MOST OF US, INFLUENCED BY THE FLESH, ARE FAR MORE DEVASTATED BY THE LOSS OF OUR PHYSICAL HEALTH, OR THE LOSS OF MONEY, or the loss of a job, or some large worldly asset, than we are by the fact that we have sin. Threaten our physical health and well-being, or one of our larger physical assets, and we're on our knees begging God for help. Yet most human beings have far less concern for their spiritual well-being. More often than not we are not nearly so devastated by sin that can deprive us of eternal life, as we are devastated by the loss of our health or some worldly thing.
EVEN MANY OF US WHO HAVE SOME SENSE OF THE SPIRITUAL LIFE STRUGGLE WITH THIS OBTUSENESS, and misplaced sense of priorities. Even in our so-called spiritual life, our prayers are often dominated by concerns that God will fix our health, improve or finances, get us a job, etc. It is not wrong to pray for these things, and we should. But honestly how often do we pray to be freed of our sins, do we really and earnestly pray to grow in holiness and to be prepared to see God face-to-face? Sometimes it almost sounds as if we are asking God to make this world more comfortable and we'll just stay here forever. This attitude is an affront to the truer Gifts God is offering.
AND SO IT IS THAT JESUS, LOOKING AT A PARALYZED MAN, SAYS TO HIM, "YOUR SINS ARE FORGIVEN". In so doing he addresses the man's most serious problem first. Only secondarily does he speak to the man's paralysis, which he almost seems to have overlooked in comparison to the issue of sin.
We have much to learn hear about how God sees, and what really are the most crucial issues in our life.
Joseph and Mary were told to call the child "Jesus," for he would save his people from their sins. Of this fact Pope Benedict speaks in his latest book, Jesus of Nazareth: The Infancy Narratives:
..."Joseph is entrusted with a further task: "Mary will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins" (Matthew 1:21)... On the one hand, a lofty theological task is assigned to the child, for only God can forgive sins. So this child is immediately associated with God, directly linked with God's holy and saving power. On the other hand, though, this definition of the Messiah's mission could appear disappointing. The prevailing expectations of salvation were primarily focused upon Israel's concrete sufferings-on the reestablishment of the kingdom of David, on Israel's freedom and independence, and naturally that included material prosperity for this largely impoverished people. The promise of forgiveness of sins seems both too little and too much: too much, because it trespasses upon God's exclusive sphere; too little, because there seems to be no thought of Israel's concrete suffering or its true need for salvation".
POPE BENEDICT THEN CITES THIS SAME STORY OF THE PARALYTIC AND SAYS, Jesus responded [to the presence of the paralyzed man] in a way that was quite contrary to the expectation of the bearers and the sick man himself, saying: "My son, your sins are forgiven" (Mark 2:5). This was the last thing anyone was expecting this was the last thing they were concerned about."...
THE POPE CONCLUDES: "Man is a relational being. And if his first, fundamental relationship is disturbed-his relationship with God-then nothing else can be truly in order. This is where the priority lies in Jesus' message and ministry: before all else he wants to point man toward the essence of his malady".
Yes, God sees things rather differently than we do. There is much to consider the fact that Jesus says paralyzed man "your sins are forgiven you".

There are many reasons why Christian counseling Columbia MO is widely being offered to people. Indeed, these times are considered really challenging already for people of all ages. It is important for individuals to get all the external support that they need since they cannot always be strong for themselves alone.
This modern world is characterized by various temptations and bad influences that can corrupt the minds of people. Even young citizens are confronted with very serious conditions such as addictions to certain substances, being delinquents in their locations, and all others. Adults as well can also have problems with their marriages, stresses and even anger.
It is a very good thing that these problems can be talked about between the person concerned and the counselor. Counselors have gone through several experiences in life, making them eligible to provide advice to those who are in need of them. You just need to be sure you look for someone who is comfortable to talk to to guarantee the best results.
Credentials really do not matter that much when it comes to Christian counseling. No formal training is required for someone to become a counselor. However, if you need religious treatment for psychiatric or psychological conditions such as depression, you will have to look for Christian psychiatrists or psychologists instead. These people have had all the necessary training for the job.
Usually, therapies are conducted on a one to one manner. This is a very common for those who do not want to get distracted by other people. However, clients can also opt for group therapies or workshops wherein they get to meet people with the same concerns as them. Group works can be very fun and more facilitating when done the right way.
Many prefer doing consultations in a religious manner because they know that every advice they get will be done in congruence with their beliefs. It is much easier to see things in a brighter light when you use religion. This is how counselors strive to provide peace of mind to their clients, by tapping on their spiritual selves.
People should know that counselors are not only available when problems are present. You can schedule appointments with them for things such as premarital counseling. You can also do the same whenever you feel like you have to unload something emotionally. After all, maintaining a good emotional and mental health is essential for all of us.
Due to the growing demand for their services, more and more counselors are emerging everywhere. It is important for clients to do comparisons if they wish to get the best outcomes from their consultation sessions. They need to look into the experience backgrounds, client orientation and approachability of their prospects to find someone suitable for them.
It is not new to find so called experts for Christian counseling Columbia MO. People have developed more tolerance for their services ever since they have gotten to realize the importance of their mental and emotional health better. But then again, one should also remember that early detection of problems is also necessary to avoid complications. Choosing the right counselor right away would help.

Barreling through Holy Week we have two left over questions from the other day. I think I'll save Eddie's question until after Easter. Sorry Eddie, but I have pews to polish.
Here is the other question, from poor old anonymous, which we have no time but to address it right away:
My question is, Easter is coming and I am not looking forward to it, and what do I do? I would rather rub along in a Lent-like manner. But isn't one purpose of Lent the preparation for Easter? I feel kind of repelled by the prospect of Easter resurrection joy at the moment.
Hopefully, as you rub along all Lent-like, the Easter joy will dawn on you. Because right now we are in the very thick of it.
Tomorrow is Holy Thursday, already! THE Holy Day of Holy Week (which by the way, used to be called "Great Week"...now we can't call it that anymore since the rampant overuse of the word 'great', as in 'have a great day!'). This is one big deal. On this day Jesus established the priesthood, had dinner with his friends and said good-bye, established the Eucharist, suffered alone, got arrested...
So tomorrow morning there will be big cathedral Masses where all the priests get together and solemnly celebrate the fact that they have their jobs. The bishop will wash their feet and bless all the oils used for the Sacraments. Confessions will be heard. Very exciting.
In a solemn sort of way.
In the evening we'll all go to Mass (WON'T WE). We go in the evening because we are celebrating the Last Supper of Jesus and His disciples and they were having their Passover dinner. Too far from the Temple to safely get a kosher lamb for their Passover seder, it wasn't until later that the eleven Apostles realized they had had Lamb after all. Judas wasn't around to realize anything anymore.
At this Mass we strip the altar and the church. We wash everything.
Here's another thing Jesus invented: Spring cleaning. Okay, he didn't invent it himself (although he did thoroughly clean out Limbo). But the tradition of spring cleaning started because of the Catholic church getting ready for Easter. (Hence my haste to answer questions today! I have to find our Murphy's Oil Soap coupons! As soon as Sister Mary Fiacre wakes up from her nap, we're outta here.)
We stop ringing bells after the Consecration at that Mass and we don't ring them again Easter. We stay up all night with the Blessed Sacrament to make up for the dozing disciples.
We've already covered what happens on Friday.
I should think, anonymous, that you would at least feel a little relief to have all your hard work pay off. Your Lenten sacrifice, the fasting, the contemplation...you have to at least feel content to eat deviled eggs and ham and some chocolate in your nice clean house with your nice clean soul. Perhaps you were just rubbing along without applying any elbow grease.
Something is definitely missing. I'm thinking: gratitude. On Easter Sunday wear a new hat and make a list of all the things for which you are grateful. Not ten things...one hundred things. Eat a chocolate egg after each ten things. Have a delicious dinner when you're done.
If you don't feel a little more Easter-y, it may be time to see your doctor.

"Mt 24:42-51 The Lord As A Thief(Click here for readings)"Jesus said to his disciples: Stay awake! For you do not know on which day your Lord will come. Be sure of this: if the master of the house had known the hour of night when the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and not let his house be broken into.
So too, you also must be prepared, for at an hour you do not expect, the Son of Man will come."While meditating on today's Gospel, I discovered something that I had never noticed before. The Lord compares himself to a thief: "If the master of the house had known the hour of night when the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake.
" Why a thief? Why not a King? That is: "if the master of the house had known the hour of night when the King was coming, he would have stayed awake and prepared a meal, a bed for his guest. There are four ways to pass a test: You can (1) study hard and not question it; (2) cheat; or (3) hope the professor changes the grades; (4) or hope the passing grade is significantly lowered.
Likewise, there are four ways to live life with God: You can (1) strive for it; (2) try to slide into it; (3) hope and pray that the Lord changes the rules; (4) hope and pray that the Lord significantly widens the gates of heaven. Wake up Americans! Get up my fellow Christians! The Lord is a thief! He is!
Little by little, He takes away the most important things in our life. Most of the time, He follows a certain pattern. When we are young, He takes away our grandparents, then our parents, and then, slowly but surely, He begins to work on us. Little by little, the Lord slides the carpet out from under us.
He takes from us our wealth and our health. And then, when we are at our weakest moment, He takes our spouse away from us. "Only in death do we part."Why is He a thief? Well, how else will I come to realize that He, and only He, is at the end of the tunnel; that He is the beginning and the end; the only thing that matters?
What I may not realize is that the Lord is actually blessing me. He is actually helping me, helping me to live up to the prayers I say to Him. For years, I have prayed the Creed. "Do I believe in Him?" He will help me to find out. Or maybe I have never prayed the Creed. "Do I believe just in myself?
" He will help me to find out! Every day I proclaim to the world that I love the Lord and that I believe in Him. "Now do I trust in Him? Am I ready to place my life in His Hands? "Life is all about realizing one's prayers of holiness. Like John the Baptist, will I not be truly blessed when I can unconditionally, unequivocally, accept God's divine Will and live up to my own prayer: "He must increase, I must decrease"?
" John prayed that his "little light" would be blown out. Did he really mean it? Would he go through with it? The Lord answered his prayer for holiness, and the Baptist lived up to it and was blessed. Now, it is time for us to do the same."There are plenty who try to cheat their way in life and into heaven.
They are similar to those who spend beyond their means, or try to show that a sinner's life is really the best life "E-V-E-R!" Like all those who have gone before them, they will write in their autobiography how they wish they could do it all over again, but without the sinning part.Today's extremists either insist on a wide open gate ["All are welcomed!
], "or on a very narrow gate that excludes everyone including themselves. They attack, without mercy, His Word; His teachers; His followers; His commandments; His laws. They attack, without mercy, Christ and His Church. But God's love and mercy does not discourage "follow me" and "carry your cross".
Can't it all be all of the above? After all, doesn't it all come from above?"Stay awake in the hour of the night!" means "discover God in the darkness of the world". "Stay awake" means open your eyes, change your mentality, stop seeking external and visible signs to reinforce your own perception of God's Will for you.
"We will know God to the extent that we are set free from ourselves. (Pope Benedict XVI)

Brothers and Sisters of the Golden Dawn,
Greetings from Paris, France, home of the Ahathoor Temple No. 7, founded by S.L. MacGregor Mathers in 1892, the Grand Temple of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn!
Over the last week I have not had much time to observe what has been happening on the Internet, as I have been here in Paris, France, where I presided over an International Conclave of the College of the Adepti of the Rosicrucian Order of Alpha et Omega, hosted by the Ahathoor Temple No. 7, Grand Temple of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, and Mother Temple of the Rosicrucian Order of Alpha et Omega.
These events hosted by Ahathoor Temple No. 7 were extremely well attended, marvelous experiences; with Golden Dawn Adepts and Initiates in attendance from France, Germany, Belgium, Holland, the UK, Spain, Sweden, Canada, and the USA. I will blog more about the Ahathoor Temple Equinox ritual and all of the other exciting events once I get back to the USA. (I will have plenty of photos to share with you from the Ahathoor Temple and events here in Paris as well).
Needless to say, I have been away from the Internet for nearly a week. Looking at the net this morning has not been a pleasant experience. The defamatory anonymous websites that have plagued the Golden Dawn community for decades have now spread to the Blogosphere. I guess this was to be expected following the olive branch offered by the HOGD/AO on the Vernal Equinox.
There are obviously forces and people that want the ENTIRE Golden Dawn community and tradition to look bad. These forces will clearly stop at nothing to stir continuing strife between the Golden Dawn orders and temples.
Two new ANONYMOUS BLOGS, one attacking Robert Zink and the Esoteric Order of the Golden Dawn, and another attacking the HOGD/AO and myself have appeared in the Blogosphere over the last week.
Despite EOGD's continuing harsh criticism of HOGD/AO and its leaders on the EOGD blog, the HOGD/AO and I nonetheless stand firmly by our Brothers and Sisters in the EOGD in condemning all anonymous defamation of both of our orders, whether on anonymous websites or blogs.
This continuing anonymous defamation of both our orders further underscores the need for unparalleled cooperation between Golden Dawn orders, and particularly the need for HOGD/AO and the EOGD to build better relations with each other.
The first and most difficult task before us it to build multilateral trust.
This will not be an easy task, as is evidenced by the buzz in the Blogosphere since our Vernal Equinox announcement.
For example, Morgan Drake Eckstein of Bast Temple in Denver wrote on his Gleanings From the Dawn blog:
Given the history of the Golden Dawn community, I am leery of any olive branch that is held out. For the matter, I am leery of the statement that we must never have another witch war. I would love to see the occult community get along with one another. But on the day it happens, Ha-Satan will skating to work and Hel, his Northern counterpart (sort-of), will inherit a tropical paradise. I doubt that I am alone in being paraniod. While I have yet to consult with my fellow Bast Temple members about the latest development in the Golden Dawn saga, I am sure that a vote of caution will result.Morgan: Given the history of legal actions and negative marketing between Golden Dawn orders, your caution is very wise. We are cautious as well, and frankly, many HOGD/AO Senior Adepts are so mistrustful that they advise me against pursuing the cause of peace any further. Still, the initiative to improve relations between Golden Dawn orders is very real, and has already been backed up by actions on both sides, although admittedly small ones, rather than mere words or empty posturing. Beginning at the Vernal Equinox, the HOGD/AO unilaterally took the first steps. Not only did we publish our Equinox blog message, but HOGD/AO also unilaterally took the step of refusing to approve any posts critical of any other Golden Dawn orders, temples, or leaders on our Yahoo forum. This was an important gesture of good faith on our part.
In return, HOGD/AO asked Robert Zink and the EOGD to respond in kind and no longer approve any posts critical of any other Golden Dawn orders, groups, or temples, including our own. To their great credit, all negative posts attacking our order and its leaders ceased to be approved on the EOGD Yahoo forum thereafter. This positive action by Robert Zink and the Esoteric Order of the Golden Dawn should not be overlooked and is to be highly and exceptionally commended.
The cessation of the publishing of posts critical of both EOGD and HOGD/AO on their mutual Yahoo fora is an extremely important step in the right direction. Indeed, history may bear witness to this was an important turning point in the history of the Golden Dawn.
Admittedly, however, this is not enough. There still remains plenty offensive and inappropriate content criticizing other Golden Dawn orders on the websites of several Golden Dawn orders or their members.
I propose that ALL of the Golden Dawn orders next move simultaneously and MULTILATERALLY to remove all objectionable content from our respective websites as well as from the websites of our members. The HOGD/AO will obviously not do this alone or unilaterally, as Senior Adepts of HOGD/AO argue that Robert Zink and the EOGD would merely use this to attempt to gain an unfair business and marketing advantage.
The mistrust of numerous of HOGD/AO's Senior Adepts has been reinforced by recent posting on the EOGD blog at golden-dawn.blogspot.com where the EOGD members continue to post weblogs critical of our order that attempt to blame everything on the HOGD/AO and myself and that do not take any responsibility for the objectionable material still remaining on the EOGD operated websites, etc.
To be quite frank with you, there are members of the HOGD/AO who caution me that I should not trust Robert Zink and EOGD at all. They argue that Robert Zink does not want peace under any circumstances. They argue that EOGD will never take down the objectionable material from the EOGD websites because Mr. Zink uses this material to gain an unfair marketing advantage by trying to scare people away from HOGD/AO. These same HOGD/AO members also argue that Robert Zink needs conflict with the HOGD/AO because he needs an enemy to unite his order.
I am certain that, in light of the above, you can understand that the HOGD/AO will obviously not remove objectionable material alone or unilaterally.
I, however, am willing to take a chance and to give Robert Zink and the EOGD the benefit of the doubt. The time has come for us to build more and more trust.
I propose that all Golden Dawn orders next move simultaneously and multilaterally to remove all objectionable content from our respective websites as well as from the websites of our members.
As I mentioned before, trust must be built. The mutual cessation of approval of hostile posts on both the EOGD and HOGD/AO Yahoo Fora has helped a lot. There is no doubt about this. However, there is a great deal more remaining to be done.
Here is material that HOGD/AO deems inappropriate and would like to see removed:
A. From EOGD websites and Yahoo fora:
1. "The Truth about the Golden Dawn and a Few Dangerous Megalomaniacs!" (
B. From the website operated by Open Source Order of the Golden Dawn member, Nagasiva Yronwood's website:
1.
In return, HOGD/AO pledges likewise to remove all objectionably perceived material from our own websites and forum on an EQUAL and QUID PRO QUO basis. I formally request that leaders of Golden Dawn orders email me at Chief.Adept@Golden-Dawn.Com to discuss what material they would like to see removed from our websites, etc.
Many HOGD/AO members believe that Robert Zink will NEVER remove the above listed objectionable material the aforementioned reasons. They even caution me against continuing this initiative, as they believe that Mr. Zink and EOGD will merely try to use even this against our order. They believe that in response to this blog, they will merely attack us again on the EOGD blog, try to justify the objectionable content on their website, and to go on blaming everything on us while refusing to take any responsibility for their own objectionable material.
I disagree.
Robert Zink and the EOGD have already gained a little of my trust by doing the right thing once. They have since the Equinox ceased all publication of hostile posts on their Yahoo forum. Therefore, against the advice of senior members of HOGD/AO, I remain willing to give Mr. Zink and the EOGD every benefit of the doubt.
The anonymously published defamatory websites and blogs attacking EOGD as well as HOGD/AO (or any other Golden Dawn order or leaders) are harming the ENTIRE Golden Dawn community and tradition.
The only way to put a stop to this nonsense once and for all is for the ENTIRE Golden Dawn community to abandon blaming one another, set aside our differences, and take a united stand against the defamation, no matter who it is directed at!
Therefore, contrary to the belief of Senior members of HOGD/AO, I do not believe that Robert Zink needs an enemy so desperately that he would rather let the entire Golden Dawn community suffer just to go on trying to DEMONIZE the HOGD/AO or myself.
In fact, I believe the opposite. I believe that EOGD and Robert Zink are serious in wanting peace. I believe that their Pow Wow initiative was serious and that they still are serious about wanting peace now. I do not believe that this was just all empty posturing from them.
I also believe that Robert Zink and the EOGD will abandon trying to blame everything on HOGD/AO and will instead help us to end the defamation in every direction.
In short, I believe that Robert Zink and the EOGD will do the right thing.

MOON IN LEO - The Moon in Leo illuminates our extroverted sides: we brim with generosity but can get stuck in our own perspective. This transit is a time to shine, express, dramatize, celebrate, create, appreciate, stage, reach out and be generous with our attention; watch assumptions and do not push the stubborn. Dramatic happenings, especially concerning emotions, being the center of attention, exuberance, vitality and working with patriarchal issues are all hallmarks of a Leo Moon transit. You will probably want to act out the 'drama queen' part of yourself or just be romantic. Enjoy the warmth of kindness and generosity, excitement and exuberance, parties and celebrations. You will want to spend money during Moon in Leo. It's hard to recognize limits during this transit; it's also a time for power issues to erupt. Leo has great pride which is evident now. As the moon moves to Virgo (Friday afternoon), the ambitions of Leo becomes unassuming. Moon in Leo is the best time to work magick involving authority, power over others, courage, fertility or childbirth. Healing rituals for ailments of the upper back, spine, or heart are also done during this period of time. Those born under a Leo Moon sign can fill a room with personality and make the most of any situation, but may need to learn honor the quiet, the mundane, or another's reality.
WODEN'S DAY - Mercury Day - the Day of Communication and Connection... there is minor magickal energies for clarity to make decisions.

There is a contagious psychospiritual disease of the soul, a parasite of the mind, that is currently being acted out en masse on the world stage via a collective psychosis of titanic proportions. This mind-virus-which Native Americans have called "wetiko"-covertly operates through the unconscious blind spots in the human psyche, rendering people oblivious to their own madness and compelling them to act against their own best interests.
Drawing on insights from Jungian psychology, shamanism, alchemy, spiritual wisdom traditions, and personal experience, author Paul Levy shows us that hidden within the venom of wetiko is its own antidote, which once recognized can help us wake up and bring sanity back to our society.
BIO
Born in 1956, Paul Levy grew up in Yonkers, New York. In the mid-seventies he went to college at what was then called the State University of New York at Binghamton (now called Binghamton University), receiving degrees in both economics and studio art. While an undergraduate at Binghamton, he was hired by Princeton University to do research in economics. When he graduated college, he stopped his studies in economics and pursued his career in art, moving out to the Bay Area, where he was both making, and teaching art.
In 1981, due to an intense personal trauma, he had a life-changing spiritual awakening in which he began to recognize the dreamlike nature of reality. During the first year of his spiritual emergence, Paul was hospitalized a number of times, and was told he was having a severe psychotic break from reality. Much to his surprise, he was diagnosed as having a chemical imbalance and was informed that he had manic-depressive (bi-polar) illness, and that he would have to live with his illness for the rest of his life. Little did the doctors realize, however, that he was taking part in a mystical awakening/shamanic initiation process, which at times mimicked psychosis but in actuality was a spiritual experience of a far different order, completely off the map of the psychiatric system.
Fortunately, he was able to extricate himself from the medical and psychiatric establishment so that he could continue his process of self-discovery. Thankfully, as Paul freed himself from the shackles of psychiatry, he found his spiritual teachers, who instead of seeing Paul as crazy, recognized that he was beginning to spiritually awaken. -veritasradio.com

We ask readers to suspend disbelief and consider the profound implications of this new view of a benevolent universe, which differs dramatically from views offered by either clergymen or scientific materialists. These path-breaking psychic readings demonstrate that God is an All-Forgiving and All-Loving figure, there is no Hell or Purgatory, and virtually all persons obtain admission to heaven. These readings describe in rich detail the activities of men and women in heaven, heaven's view of progress on earth, and the best means to worship and serve God.
The final interview with the Father-Mother God states this: "I want every man and woman to hear that they are uniquely beloved. My wish is to glorify each person's unique individuality. That is what God wants to do. God wants to reach out and pull every suffering heart into consciousness of its own beauty and glory, and to make all people understand how well beloved they are-cherished, treasured. I want to bring about this understanding and this acceptance." These channeled interviews are full of new biographical and historical information, as well as fascinating insights into science, the creative process, planetary evolution, political science, and global economics. This volume ends with practical advice on channeling techniques useful for others. [Description from Amazon]

Pechs or Pehts
The Scottish Lowland names for fairies and are confused in tradition with the Picts, the mysterious people of Scotland who built the Pictish brughs and possibly also the round stone towers. The Pechs were considered tremendous castle builders and were credited with the construction of many of the ancient castles. They could not bear the light of day and so only worked at night, when they took refuge in their brughs or "sitheans" at sunrise. It seems likely that some historic memory of an aboriginal race contributed one strand to the twisted cord of fairy tradition.
Peg Powler
One of the many Green Hags with sharp teeth who drag their victims down to watery graves.
People of Peace
The Irish often referred to the Sidhe in this manner. The word sidhe means peace. See Daoine Sidhe in Faery Lineage.
People in the Hills, the
Fairies who live under the green mounds, or tumuli, all over England.
Phooka
An Irish Goblin with a variety of rough beast like forms. He appears sometimes as a dog or a horse, or even a bull, but is generally jet black with blazing eyes. As seemingly friendly, shaggy, sway backed pony Phooka offers the unwary traveller a welcome lift; but once astride he is taken for a wild and terrifying gallop across the wettest and most thorny country, eventually to be dumped headlong into the mire or deposited in a ditch.
